Perfect donuts Everytime. My daughter personally likes the Carmel powdered donut, which is also the messiest one. Plenty of delicious items to choose from, you can't go wrong. A reminder that it is cash/check only.

Always love the selection of baked goods that they have. If you are reading this and have never been my personal favorites are the apple fritters and garlic bacon cheese bread. They do also take orders for pies on Thanksgiving or any other holiday. Unfortunately they decide to close 2 months out of the year but overall a great place to get baked goods and other treats.

The best Amish bakery in the area! Go for the butter horns, and grab a pie.

Love this place but you need to go early,the baked goods and mini pies go fast! Hand pies and the garlic cheese pull apart bread are my favorites.They also have some nice gifts,also plants and flowers for sale in the spring.The gals are always friendly when we go.They only take check or cash,no atm.

The bakery ALWAYS has good rolls donuts etc and about everything else you want. Love walking in the door and smelling all the great things they make there!

This bakery has such a wonderful selection of Amish and Mennonite fresh baked goods as well as many other items. The caramel pecan rolls are so amazing. The strawberry (or maybe it’s raspberry?) angel food cake is also rock star level delicious! They have jams, jellies, homemade bread, noodles, and a variety of preserved fruits and vegetables. They carry handcrafted wooden items and a wide variety of various retail souvenirs. The ladies tending the store were very helpful and quite pleasant. This bakery is easy to find and has plenty of ample parking.

I come here about twice a year. Excellent bakery items and nice gift store. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are quite inexpensive.

The best pecan caramel rolls I’ve ever tasted! The breads are awesome too. There are a few miles of gravel roads but well worth the dust. I recommend it.

It use to be a great bakery, but now the prices have gone up and size and quality have decreased. It's becoming a tourist trap and hurting local shoppers. This is so sad.

This is in the middle of no where on a gravel road....And we'll worth the Trip. They have all home made baked goods. But get there before noon because they can sell out of items. I love there donuts and homemade bread and very reasonably priced. This is ran by Amish bakers, you won't be sorry.

Located in very small town Iowa, it's a bucolic setting for a fabulous bakery. This bakery has caramel pecan cinnamon buns that are the real deal. Also had the jalapeno cheese bread that had the perfect ratio of cheese and jalapeno studded throughout. They have delicious complementary coffee and a few tables to eat your purchases ( because they wont make it home). The Amish staff were absolutely lovely and she even gave us a guide book to Kolona. Will definitely be back!!!

I've been to this bakery several times. In fact, I drive 45 minutes out of the way just to stock up on their jellies, breads, and canned goods. They use fresh, simple, homemade ingredients that you won't see in most grocery stores. Our U.S. food labels are riddled with ingredients that you can't pronounce and are full of harmful additives. I purchased 6 jars of the blackberry jam. It is hands down, the best jam I have ever had! The pies are too good, and forget the cinnamon rolls. There is no way to eat just one. There is something about stepping inside the Golden Delight Bakery. It feels like how life was decades ago, and it feels like home.

Highly recommend!! Fantastic food, great taste, great prices.

Wonderful baked goods. Cinnamon rolls are as good as any I have ever enjoyed in surroundings many of only know from distant memories or pictures. Uses gas lighting if sunlight is insufficient. A must visit. Does not accept credit cards.

They have everything you want for a bakery. The donuts are great, don't have the air pockets like you do in Hy-Vee or Casey's donuts.

This is such a fantastic location to taste local Amish baked goods. Their pecan rolls and cinnamon buns are soooo good! I visit this place whenever I am in the area. I purchased three loaves of flavored breads. I can verify they were all delicious. I purchased lemon poppy seed, banana nut and pumpkin breads. All were moist and really flavorful. The store has bulk items, locally canned foods as well as gift items to purchase. I have had several flavors of jams and salsas. All of them are excellent. This is a popular tourist destination. Get there early on Saturday to have the greatest options for purchasing based items. LOVE this place and will visit again.

Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had and I consider myself an executive donut connoisseur. I also purchased a jar of pears that was delicious. Sort of off the beat and path but in a really wholesome way. If you’re near Kalona, IA I highly recommend checking out this precious hidden treasure.
