The oxtail was absolutely horrible it was salty with no flavor I called and spoke to the manager and she stated she would give me a small portion of food in exchange for the $50 I spent for two oxtails I would never return they switched the cooks the oxtail looks okay but do not buy it do not eat it it is absolutely horrible I got nauseated and sick from the high sodium content do not eat here... I do not recommend anything here they are charging for something that they are not delivering... If you are going to charge About 30 dollars for a large oxtail it better be authentic and good.... salty dry and husky with absolutely no flavor and missing all of the spices. Shame on you for charging this amount of money for absolute garbage.

Ordered from this place for delivery at lunch. The food was delicious. I don’t know if it was the dumplings, or the patties that made me full. The delivery was speedy, (and this time they didn’t mess up the address).

I worked with Ms. Simone and she helped me to create a perfect menu for our wedding. We had it delivered as well and they were just super timely and professional. She was also available every time for any questions that we had. Thank you so much for playing such a wonderful role on our wedding day….AND of course, the food was delicious and everyone loved it, especially the oxtail m!!!

Food is already in front of you and you pick rice, cabbage and things.

They catered my daughter’s wedding. The dishes were all very tasty. We are Jamaicans and wanted authentic food, well they delivered!!! Miss Simone was very reachable and very accommodating through the entire process. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT US, had the guests talking about how delicious the food was. Thank you so much for making our day a success.

Absolutely disgusting that food I’m use to the commercial and Dixie location in Fort Lauderdale there jerk chicken always on point and rice sometimes but it never tastes days old like your location.

Please train your employees. A new one here, she is always unpleasant and has an attitude , always fussing about something. How dear me place a second order after she served me the first although I had not yet paid. She promptly asked me in front of the other customers *yo si di line behine yu? I coulda serve yu d same ting one time instead mi wase err time* . I was embarrassed, disgusted and lost my appetite almost threw the food in the trash can after I paid for it. Please remind your employees that the customers pay their salaries and should be treated with respect all di huffin, puffing over the food we are about to eat. I am more than 20 years her senior. She is sooo disrespectful. Customers should not be treated as if we are a at soup kitchen begging them for food. Dont just thank us train them to provide respectful customer service.

The food here used to be so good. I don’t know what happened but they dropped off in a major way. Curry has no spice, taste or flavor. The last two times I ordered the rice was HARD! Not boiled properly or old… very disappointing. I will not order again.

When ever in Orlando and I want Oxtail I always come to Golden Krust. Large portions always can eat off of plate multiple times. And can’t forget to get a tropical rhythm drink I always get pineapple Ginger. Festival is also good from here as well as their beef patties.

They never let me down with the availability of food and other deserts! Make sure you visit during Easter for their crown jewel Easter Bun!

This is one of the only franchises where the food looks and tastes like authentic Jamaican food. I live over 30 minutes away from this location ( keep in mind there is a franchise close to me, a different owner). However, I will drive to this location because I am looking for good Jamaican food; I bought soup recently and when I got home I was happy to see the ground provosions in the soup, it was favorful just like soup back home. Some restaurants all they have in the soup is carrots and celery( we don't put celery in soup), or it's filled with dumplins! The ladies that serve here extend good service to the customers. To the owner, please maintain or even top the quality that you are producing. As we tend to see that a lot with Jamaican restaurants here in the US lose their edge over time.

This is the best Jamaican food,I have had in Orlando. I always get Oxtails. My Son had Curry Chicken. The serving is a very good size

I haft to say I am a long time customer of golden krust in every city I have been to this is my go to carribean food spot but lately the last 5 locations I been to including this 1 has been a let down. I always order a large oxtail with rice and peas and a side of macaroni pie, first off they raised the price it use to be under 15 for a large now you spending over 20$ and the oxtail not as tasty as it use to be the macaroni pie I use to love now its not worth the extra charge. I can't blame the staff here they where nice but the franchise in all have dumb down their recipes or changed somethings now it's too commercialized.

Just got beans and rice, oxtail with gravy, cabbage, and seafood pasta served from Nash with grace. I fully enjoyed every bite, well worth it’s price. Thanks to all the other co-workers as well for a great meal

Posting this review as soon as possible under the most unfortunate circumstances! My husband visited this location tonight (1/24/2024) & ordered takeout for our family for dinner. He ordered a small plate of curry chicken & a small plate of the stew chicken. As my daughter was eating her food, she discovered a ROACH in the rice & beans.. yes, A ROACH! I'M ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED & IN DISBELIEF 🤮🤮 Now we eat from here (this location in particular) from time to time.. maybe 2-3 times a year over several years & have never seen a roach in our food but that's not to say that there wasn't one there since it wouldn't be hard for one to hide in the sauce or rice/beans. I just hope we haven't eaten a roach in the past.. SMH! It's really unfortunate because the food is good & we did receive a full refund thankfully. But I also added a photo & video of the roach in our food 🤢 I'll be posting the video on my tiktok as well!

Difficulties of supporting Black owned business. Hours of operation begin at 9:00 it’s now 9:04 door just being unlocked. Woman barely opens door, I get inside with attitude she says good morning and then she tells me I need to give them time as the food is not ready. Lady I have to be to work, I can not go in at my pleasure and tell paying customers they have to wait. On a positive she did wash her hands after opening and moving trash can. Needless to say yes I am leaving……. Are my expectations to high or is this poor business practice?

I like to stop in at a Golden Krust whenever I am out this way. I buy take out cooked food and patties. The food is so delicious! I just enjoy the reggae music and being around Jamaican people feels like home.

I have been coming here for years unfortunately I have seen the customer service charge for the worst. Example: Stand in side and not be greeted or noticed the old workers need to teach the new ones . Bad attitude should be left at home. If you can’t smile speak help service customers. Renovation is in the future been like this for 20yrs

Great patties. The oxtail and the food was mediocre. The presentation is lacking at these golden krust locations. Buy lots of variety in drinks and excellent service. Food is not up to par.

The food wasn't bad and I would have given this place a better rating, but because of my paying experience I give this place 1 star. As I was paying my bill I was told to put my card back in a second time in their card machine and because of this I ended up paying a second bill. Just to be sure I checked my bank account and sure enough the two transactions was there. I showed the restaurant staff the two charges on my account and I was told to come back tomorrow because it still showed pending. My situation was not taken seriously and I felt dismissed. Any other professional business would have reimbursed me for the bill that wasn't mine, but instead I was told by Golden Krust staff to call my bank and have them deal with it and come back tomorrow if it went through and show them my receipt even though they already saw what had happened. This is very unprofessional conduct and that's not how you treat customers.I won't be coming back here no matter how good the food is because of my experience. If you decide to still come here, please DO NOT use your debit/credit card. I would not want anyone else to go through what I went through and now I have to get my bank involved in something that could have been settled at the restaurant. Be safe out there! Scammers come in all places and businesses.

Came here because of the reviews and this place didn't disappoint. Food is fresh and very flavorful. My husband and I ordered the ox tails and they were so good my daughter ordered the jerk chicken and she loved it. Service is great all the ladies working there are really nice and attentive and keep the huge line of customers moving. Will definitely visit again.

I came here to the Golden krust in Orlando today. my first time going to a Golden krust was over 10 years ago in fort Lauderdale and I was disappointed. Today was the day I decided to give Golden krust the benefit of the doubt. I ordered my daughter and I favorite Jamaican dish which is callaloo. So we proceeded out the door and we went to go eat our food and I let my daughter try the callaoo and she instantly spit it out. She said it was bitter so I tried it myself and in fact it was extremely bitter not only that the callaloo did not have a speck of salt or any seasoning on it. You might as well say they just took it right out of the can and popped it right into the oven. I ended up mixing my saltfish in the callaloo. It helped a bit but I still could taste the bitterness. I am disappointed.

Ordered some oxtails from them on Uber Eats and was mightily impressed with how delicious everything was. The oxtails were amazing,cabbage was delisious and mac and cheese was perfect. Prices were fair and overall I highly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended!

The service was good and the cashier was very attentive but the food isn't as good as it was back in the days.however it does give you a sense of Jamaican food.

5 stars easily! Place referred to me by a coworker. I had the curry goat, rice and peas with ox tail gravy over top. Absolutely delicious. The food was seasoned perfectly. First time I ever ate goat, the meat was tender and flavorful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was friendly, I always enjoy being greeted with positive vibes. The restaurant was clean, the hot food area was spotless. This meal is a do over for me. I have already shared my experience with my friends and told them they need to try this place. Also, I did order the small portion and trust me the amount of food I was given was plenty. I can’t imagine what a large portion would have contained. I’m already looking forward to me next visit to try something new. Although, the curry goat was so yummy it will be hard to order something different.

Bought the stew peas, it does taste good but it’s too salty I think the pig tail can be boiled a few times in different fresh water to boil most of the salt out, but it does taste very good that’s just the only issue, The salt.

Food is horrible Sun Apr 23rd @ 4pm Oxtail dinner plate. Oxtails hard, look like 5day old meat, food cold, I'm an Oxtail lover and Jesus this place will fool you with decent reviews but I'm here to tell you the truth. The cabbage has peas, carrots, and corn. The Oxtails are black in color with all that fake gravy. I NEVER had to throw oxtails away. This was the day.

They charged me $26 dollars for a cup of oxtail no meal just meat. Is that normal?!

I go every day 4 breakfast and my mom and sister also it’s great food but the employees have no customer service skills! I order fry dumplings and salt fish and the employe that was serving me was told to not give me the fry dumplings until they decide on who they were going to give it to!? An am like what? I saw it there and ordered it she had already put it in the bag and everything/ an she had a bad attitude for the beginning no smile no morning she clearly didn’t acknowledge me as a customer!!

Talk about flavor !!!! This was a welcomed and enjoyable meal. The ladies are polite and understaffed but managed the restaurant very well. Rice and peas are delicious, the goat was super tender and very little fat, jerk chicken was good seasoning. Patty and coco bread definitely a must I will say know what you want or have a few ideas because if not you will hold up the line and this place gets a lot of business.

We went for breakfast, at the one on west colonial. When mi tell u the ackee and dumplin did a shot! Their lunch specials are good too! Their service is always so friendly and loving, unlike the one in Kissimmee

I love that I was able to walk in and quickly get my meal. I like the bigger oxtails personally. This restaurant offers a smaller but robust oxtail. However, everything was good.

One of my favorite Jamaican places for REAL JAMAICAN FOOD and pastries. The kind you grandmother used to cook and bake. Even veggie pastry like my favorite spinach patty, the best I ever had. And you can order by phone and they'll bake fresh for you by the dozen.

On 6/2/22. I order a large rice and peas with jerk chicken, didn't have no taste, no flavor the chicken was very dry. Wasn't happy at all.

I had a bad experience.....I walked up to the cashier she automatically turned to patties and pointed and asked did i want a pattie I said no I would like oxtails she ask what size i said small she grabbed the phone and said the oxtails would be 20.00 and some change but walked off and left me standing there and continued her phone conversation. I never asked the price I always pay for what I want as I continued to stand there she kept talking on the phone so i called Caribbean Sunshine placed my order and it was ready when I got there. I received great customer service and no dirty looks nor was i ignored i will not visit this location again

Authentic Jamaican food! A must visit if you are in the area. My favorite is the ox tails. Tender, well seasoned and they give you plenty! You'll definitely have leftovers. Their desserts are amazing as well. Try the pound cake, OMG! Moist not dense like others. I have to fight my family off for my piece! You won't be disappointed ☺️

Listen, great food. I got jerk chicken with rice and peas with some oxtail gravy on top. Delicious. Def would get again. I received a lot of food for the size I ordered as well.

The best Bun and cheese ever!!! The taste never leaves my mouth. The jerk chicken is so delicious. Mouth watery. Leaving all the way from Philadelphia to Orlando at Easter or visiting family and friends i cannot not help but enter this building and eat and take away my menu. Mouth watering and amazing service!!! They had so much to choose from that taste just like the islands. Superb service from the girls with a smile. This place has drinks from the islands and everything was made fresh. The jerk meat pie was flaky and tasty. The ribs were full of flavor and lots of meat. The cabbage had just enough snap and lots of flavor too. You have to try this place!

Ordered the Jerk Pork, rice with Pigeon peas, plantains. Added extra jerk sauce on top. Had some oxtail stew juice added on rice. Everything was awesome, full of fresh ingredients and flavor. The jerk pork and sauce had a deep rich flavor and then the spicy heat. But not overpowering. The plantains were carmelized to tasty perfection. There was enough food for 2 meals. I think I got the large portion. Well worth the price. Great service and facility. Try the Bigga ginger beer, much better ginger flavor from Jamaica.
