Wonderful Thai restaurant with relaxing ambiance and amazing food. Everything was fresh and perfect.

I’ve gone here a few times with family and coworkers. I’ve always had nothing but the best service! Tonight I placed a pickup order and the guy who was up front went above and beyond to help me. Highly recommend eating here!

I don’t know Thai food very well, so I always order pad Thai. Tonight I decided to be adventurous and ordered Param. It was unbelievable! I thought that somebody started a party in my mouth. It was so good! Can’t recommend it enough! Peanut sauce was amazing.

Unfortunately the high reviews don’t match up to the quality or freshness I was expecting. Would not recommend. Gave this place a try since Thailicious was closed. Spring rolls - these were ok Dumplings - very dry even with the sauce Massaman Curry - no flavor Pad see ew - this was inedible. Noodles were bone dry and did not taste fresh.

Every time I try to go to the restaurant it's closed. I went in today and they said they were getting ready to close again. Terrible attitude. Terrible times that they are available for food service. I will never go there

This is one of our favorite places to go. It’s a hidden gem. The service is always super fast, the prices are great, and the portions are huge. I always have enough leftovers to eat the next day. My favorite dishes are the drunken noodles and phad Thai, and my boyfriend loves the Param. It’s always hot and freshly made. Golden Thai never disappoints!

I've been slowly trying most items on the menu. Everything has been really good! I love all the veggies. And the people are always nice, thank you!

I haven’t made my way through the whole menu just yet but GT is definitely one of my go to spots when I need a good pick me up meal. In my opinion, they have the best pad thai in the city. Could easily eat here every day of the week.

My first time coming to this quaint Thai spot. Ordered from their lunch menu which consisted of one page of options that were reasonably priced, for the quantity of food you are served. Tried their plain rice with onions and “hot” chix .. (8.95$) It was fresh and steamy.. but a bit bland on flavor.. the chicken was not spicy as the gentleman stated it would be and the rice could’ve been seasoned with a heavier hand but overall tasty. The crab rangoon though deserves a trophy 🏆 - one of the best I have ever had- 8 pieces came with, for just $6.95.. creamy and perfectly crisp. Highly recommend. Ambiance was you know.. Thai themed, a bit dark, but it was a little restaurant with about eight tables. Young server was very nice and had great customer service and immediately gave you a cold bottled water while you decided on your meal. Would recommend.

Second attempt to give GoldenThai a chance as it’s the closest Thai to our house. Sorely disappointed. First visit the Curry was watery, chicken tasted ragged/ dry. Today, the noodles in both the pad Thai and pad se uw were strangely wet, not much flavor to them and the beef literally tasted like old shoe leather. Had to spit it out, haven’t never thrown meat away before. Left with noodles that aren’t good, and wishing I’d driven a bit further for our favorite Siam O Cha Thai food around the corner which is far superior in every aspect. Will not return to Golden Thai.

Plenty of quantity - no quality. Sauces thin with no flavor. Very disappointing.

No bugs in the food, but we still left full as ticks! Food is delicious, portions are huge, and the service is crazy fast. Every time I’ve gone, the place has been packed, yet despite being open since 2006 they have less than 400 reviews…Someone is gatekeeping!

Golden Thai has been here for as long as I can remember, but strangely I’ve never been. Its an cozy location and seems to do mostly take-out. Their prices are slightly lower than other Thai restaurants in the area — about $2 less for lunch than most places I have visited. As usual, for my first try, I had the lunch Panang Chicken and Thai Tea. The tea was very good. The veggies in the curry were very fresh, as you would expect of any Thai restaurant. The Panang itself was watery, lacking body and flavor. Some tastes were very salty and others not so much. The rice was a clump. It even had harder clumps inside the main clump. It was also almost flavorless. Just a quick aside here — a year ago I would have said that rice was just rice, some smoother than others. But after having the rice at Dee Thai in Lake Mary I find that I am SOOO wrong. I can’t put my finger on it, but it is so much better than any rice I’ve ever had anywhere else. Back to Golden Thai — at the end of lunch I would have to say that this seems to be “The McDonald's” of Thai restaurants. The price is slightly lower, the quality is mediocre, and some people would say, “You get what you pay for”. But for me, just a few miles up Rangeline Rd and then up Lake Emma Rd and you would be at Dee Thai. For $2 more its like going from McDonald’s burgers to Ruths Chris’ burgers (in flavor).

Average Thai - Okay flavor but weirdly watery/bland. The sauce for everything seemed to have additional water added or something. Even the sweet and sour sauce was like kool-aid consistency. I was not expecting this given the great reviews. Excellent service, so I’m adding a star for that - a lot of people seem to like this place so give it a try and decide for yourself.

Best Thai in Orlando Love their Chili Jam

Found a roach in a take out order of vegetable massaman curry. Quite unfortunate as I've been here twice before to good experiences at a good price, but my most recent experience this week involved a whole roach in the take out curry that was almost half eaten. Wretching and heaves followed, after which I returned to the restaurant and showed them the photo of the bug. I was refunded and they said they will notify the kitchen. Quite awful as I can't remember finding such a thing before, in a vegetable dish too. Won't be coming back, a shame for sure.

Adorable little restaurant, such a cute aesthetic, the employees are extremely homely and wonderful, the complimentary water bottles were wonderful too. The food was just stellar, and the crab rangoons were fried so perfectly. The thai tea was also just amazing, love went into this experience, definitely will become a regular.

Hard to get good Thai food in some places - one would think Longwood would be one of those but even our foodie -riend enjoyed eating with us here. The place is not much to look at but the service was pleasant and the food was good. The soup was very good so don't skip it even though its hot outside. Looking forward to trying more dishes!

Me and my Wife have eaten here for over 10 years. Excellent, tasty and fresh authentic Thai food! Crazy Meat (red curry), Garlic Shrimp (spicy) and Pad Pik Basil are my go to dishes. Great prices, large portions and excellent service as well. Don't forget to try the Tom Yum Gai soup with your meal. Lemony, spicy and tasty!

This evening was my first time trying this Thai restaurant and it was Delish!! The portions are huge and definitely worth the price. I will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring family and friends.

Come here once a week, never disappoints. I love the Phad Pik Basil with beef. In and out within 30-40min for lunch is great. The food is inexpensive for the quantity served. Food, except the rice, is prepared to order and always fresh. Like I said, come here once a week.

Went there for lunch. The hostess was great. She was the only server but took good care of each guest. Food was awesome. The quantity was a lot for the price. Enjoyed the food and ambiance. Worth every dime.

Small hole in the wall place almost couldn't find it but the food was unbelievably good, so good in fact I ordered from them again the next day. Plus the staff were so kind and friendly. 1000% recommended.

Cute cozy Thai restaurant offering a variety of unique Thai dishes. We ordered the pork dumplings, pad Thai, special param tofu, and Thai iced tea. The dumplings were well plated but packed much flavor. The param special tofu was lovely and a generous portion. The special param come with three crispy slices of fried eggplant that were just heaven. The Thai iced tea was authentic and you could tell didn't come from a mix.

Had a great experience again Saturday. I’ll be back. Great food and great service.

The food was amazing hot fast delicious. Love to the entrees at first I was started ordering and was told that's no longer on the menu so I pick something else and was told that's no longer the menu and then was told that I have a menu from 10 years ago and he brought me the new menu and the prices went up we both laughed but not by much and then I went to order something else and was told they were out of it but what I did order was delicious Tom ka gai spring rolls Thai salad and definitely recommend the red curry Thai hot. The prices were on point the staff was super friendly would definitely recommend going back.

Overall, good experience and food. Not my favorite location but the service definitely overshadows any concerns. Large portions are served for most meals on the menu. Lots of menu variety to choose from. If you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine you should definitely consider Golden Thai.

The food is great. My brother took me here for the first time awhile ago and couldn't wait to go back. Seems like a family business and owners needed time for their health and were very missed overhearing other customers ask about them. Hope they take care and well soon. Forgot to take pictures, but looks just as tasty as it is. Love the choice of vegetables that set the dishes apart from other Thai restaurants.

Update to my update of my original review: I called at 6pm today to ensure they would be open until 9pm as they stated, so that I could order food to go after work and come pick it up around 8:30. It’s 30 minutes out of my way. Got here at 8:30 and lights are off, after the girl I spoke to assured me they would be open until 9. I am livid, as this is literally the 4th time it’s happened in the last month. I will NEVER come back here, and I will make sure the dozens of people I sent here don’t come back, either. Ridiculous. To be fair, their food is good, so that’s the reason for the 3 stars. Tried again today 6/4/22 and called ahead to make sure they would be open. Arrived 7:25 and they were closed. Bye.

We travel 30 min to dine at The Golden Thai. It's quaint, quite & clean. The Food is always served Fresh. The Prices are very fair and the service is great. It's our families very favorite Thai Restaurant. Keep up the great work. Very Enjoyable.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Always great food but the hours are awful. Also, last time we were there I ordered a glass of wine and the lady serving us brought me the entire bottle (unopened) and a wine opener and left it with us so I could pour my own glass. She later returned to get the remainder of the bottle and the opener. Not super safe.

This is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. The food is very good and the value for what you get is also good. Top 3 dishes I have enjoyed are Garlic Meat, Panang, and Pad Thai. I recommend adding the lunch combo, which adds 2 spring rolls and a cup of soup.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while I’m glad we did. The seating is self serve but that’s okay the server was very welcoming and took our order quickly. the stir fry basil is as expected very good kris had the stir fry broccoli with beef thai hot and it was hot. the place was full by 1200 that says alot

This place I would recommend to any person interested in fast and family owned Thai food. The service is amazing and very quick. The food has always been delicious and always fresh. The customer service has gotten better since I started going around in the summer. The inside of the restaurant isn’t the most up to date looking area but I never have sat inside the restaurant. Overall this is such an amazing place and I love coming here for some quick Thai food!

We happened upon this restaurant by chance. We thought let’s try it but were very pleasantly surprised with the taste of the food. Tom yum kha soup in vegetarian was so yum. Everything ordered was tasty at a reasonable price. This place will be our favorite for Thai food now.

Awesome food! We ordered chicken egg rolls, Masaman curry, and pad thai. Great egg rolls, fabulous curry- thick enough, with plenty of curry paste, meat, and vegetables. Pad thai was really great too.

The food is good with generous portions and fair prices too. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated with Thai decor. The only thing is that the service is slow but that's because it's popular and for good reason. Overall a good experience and worth the wait.

A new favorite! **Update 3 yrs later** While the food at this restaurant is still very good, I have been disappointed recently with the service. More than a few times, the young kid, I think he's a college student, has messed up my order, but today was a straw that broke the camel's back. I called and placed an order, He tells me 15 to 20 minutes, I give them 30 but when I get there he tells me that they have no more rice. Yes it is true I called the order in at 7:45 p.m., but a Thai restaurant running out of rice is like KFC running out of chicken. At that point, I'm a annoyed because how do you have curry without rice, but I'm already there, right?! So I reluctantly agree to some noodles. So I'm sitting there waiting for an order that was literally supposed to be grab and go, and 15 minutes go by and I ask him what the status was because I placed the order 45 minutes prior and he tells me he didn't put it in when I called it in because he didn't know what I wanted with my curry So instead they didn't put any food order in for me. No attempts to call me back and ask me if I would like a substitute. The restaurant was not busy, there was literally one couple sitting down eating, one other to go order that arrived while I was sitting there waiting for my food so I cannot even make an excuses for him. So I get home, I'm already annoyed but I'm even more annoyed when I go to try to eat the noodles. They were bland and rubbery and completely stuck together in a big mush. I literally had to throw them right in the garbage and make myself some rice so that I can have some with my dinner. Tonight was a flop, there have been other times where he's messed up minor things, like the protein that I wanted my soup or the type of soup and one time he forgot my spring rolls, but today, today was not good. I've decided I'm not going to stop supporting this business because I have met the cooks and owner and they're really sweet. I also know it's really tough during the pandemic, but I've decided that if I ever hear the kids voice on the other side of the phone, I'm hanging up, calling the next local spot. I really miss when the girls that used to work the front! I took the liberty of photographing the unappetizing noodles.

Golden Thai restaurant is the best kept secret in Longwood, You can be assured when you sit down to order your favorite dish, you can be certain it is going to be made 100% prepared from scratch and made to order. There's no dish too hot as it can be prepared to your liking from mild to traditional Thai hot upon request. The atmosphere warm and inviting and the staff are helpful and efficient. Over the past 20 years that I have been introducing friends, business associates, and family to experience this Mom and Pop Thai restaurant, the feedback was always very *[flavorable]. Pun is definitely intentional.😃

Food was great, not the best Thai I've had in Orlando, but very good. And while we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, it was not their fault. It was the fault of two very rude and selfish men, that just sat there talking after paying their check for a long time. The staff was simply never trained on how to get guests like these to move on.

Decent thai food in the area. First time here a week ago for dinner. They have this chili jam item on their menu that I have not seen at othet thai restaurants. I felt like there was not a lot of vegetables in my dish then what I was expecting. My friend had the shrimp dish.
