Wow, wish we had patronized this establishment sooner. The service was excellent, the owner spoke with us to ensure all was correct and in order. The servings were generous and delicious. The Pineapple Mango drink was yummy to the last drop. Highly recommended!

The food is flavorful and delicious! The portion sizes and great for the price and the everyone there is super sweet. I don’t eat meat or dairy and they were able to accommodate me without any issues. I would definitely come back again, thanks so much!

Wonderful food and friendly staff makes this home in the wall one of our favorite places to eat! Both the burritos and enchiladas are amazing, the portions are generous, and the owner clearly cares about his food and his guests. As of August '24, it looks as though they are making some changes to the layout, so expect the interior fit & finish to improve. We'll definitely be back again!

The owner is in premises and very proud of his food putting traditional cooking methods and love into it. He took care of us personally and we loved our dishes: enchiladas con mole, enchiladas salsa roja. Carnitas platter one with green sauce. Hibiscus iced tea or water which was a hit. We cleaned our plates! Totally recommended it. Not an instagram place but Im done with those place where all is cute but food is small expensive and not impressive. Thia place has our business for a long time! They deliver through the platforms go support it

I was craving a steak burrito and this place hit the spot. I ordered a homemade pineapple juice — so refreshing. The chips and salsa were also tasty; my favorite salsa was the green one but the spicier red one was nice too! Very glad to have found a delicious Mexican restaurant in Fairfield! Really nice service, too! The man working here clearly loves what he’s doing; and it shows in the food and energy of the space. Looking forward to trying more dishes 😋

This is by far the most authentic Mexican food we have ever had in Fairfield. Carlos the owner is so sweet and welcoming. I always order his crispy taquito platter, mole, burritos & fresh orange mango juice.. can’t wait to come visit him again.everything is freshly made and delicious! What a gem!!

I recently dined at green chilitos, and it felt like stepping into a warm embrace of a family gathering. The server was exceptional, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was incredibly fresh, from the handmade tortillas to the vibrant salsa that danced on my taste buds. The drinks were a delight, generously portioned and bursting with flavor. A truly homely experience that I can't wait to revisit. Carlos was our amazing server. This is a must visit.

The food is 10/10 would absolutely come again. This is more of a small takeout spot, so definitely order ahead of time. Also, I get the feeling they are using some really incredible spices because the flavor of the food was so different than what I've had in the other Mexican restaurants. Most importantly, the owner was the sweetest person and you can tell he cared so much about not only the quality of the food but also that we were happy. Carlos and his kitchen crew make the food with love! It is beyond outstanding! If you're looking for fresh ingredients and amazing flavors -- this is your place. If you're looking for spice that burns your face off -- go elsewhere. The focus here is on classic dishes and subtle flavors. When you go, know it is a tiny, basic dining room. The homemade chips and 3 sauces are worth the close quarters. Of course, you can take out and enjoy the wonderful dishes at home. We are working our way through the menu and haven't had a single bad bite!

Food is prepared fresh. Wife says she hasn’t had Mexican food this authentic since she lived in Southern California. This is our go to place.

We had Green Chilitos cater for a birthday party--trays of chicken tinga and carnitas for tacos along with rice, beans, chips, salsa and guac. Our guests RAVED about the food--so fresh, flavorful, and delicious! Best guac and salsa too. The portions were generous and the owner made sure we were satisfied with the order. It won't be the last time we order trays for a party!

Wanted late night tacos, showed up at 10:15pm. Owner was happy to accommodate and had my chicken tinga tacos ready fast and quick! The portion was way bigger than expected and tasted amazing! Can’t wait to go back for more, 5 stars for everything.

Food was fresh and delicious. Ordered steak tacos, perfection. Chorizo burrito was packed to the gills with rice cheese and beans, again, perfect. Owner gave me a few sample of fresh squeeze pineapple, orange, mango juice. Hit the spot, and you can tell how fresh it is. Go support local and enjoy a great meal!

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in ct if you’re reading this please go and show your love and support and let’s help this man grow I believe more people should be able to experience this man’s food damn near shed a tear after trying his dips and salsas and the carnitas burrito will honestly make you want to live there or in his actual home

When I was a little kid I live in Mexico City for one year. This place took me back in time. I’ve been in the U.S. for 25 years and out of all the Mexican spots I have eaten at, Green Chilitos is by far the most authentic Mexican food. My first bite took me back to 99 when I was a chamaco

Found this little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food they serve. Having lived in Mexico for over 6 years, I consider myself an expert in Mexican food. This is the only place in Fairfield county that truly serves authentic delicious Mexican cuisine. Truly a hidden gem in Fairfield county. My family and I had lunch there. Our server was very nice and accommodating, going above and beyond while making recommendations and bringing our order. This place is small and cozy and, overall an excellent alternative for those who have eaten authentic Mexican food in Mexico, and wish to recreate the true experience of this unique cuisine. Kudos! We will definitely be back!

I was looking for Late Night Mexican Food and found this place. Best Decision Ever!!!! When I went in it seemed empty, but the owner was the only one person in there. I ordered the Birria Taco and it was Delicious!! Put icing on the cake I got the Jamaica/Floral Juice and it was the best juice I’ve ever had!! He told me that he gets the Hibiscus Flowers and hand makes them. I agree with everyone who reviewed this place that it’s true, the owner is very passionate with his food. Looking forward to coming back again

We tried Green Chilitos for the first time tonight and we were thrilled! So hard to get authentic Mexican and this establishment nailed it. We had the enchiladas and the quesadillas which were both excellent. Everything was very fresh and so tasty. The owner is lovely and so appreciates the business as they are rather new and trying make it in this tough market. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Delicious, authentic Mexican food! I had the chicken tortilla soup and the grilled steak soft tacos. Both came out warm and you could tell the ingredients were so fresh. The space was spotless and the owner could not have been nicer. Will definitely be back!

Yummy food. Stopped by when going to NYC. Our food was delicious. Very big portions! We got one order of burritos and shared, and the owner added a complimentary bag of chips. Also, the owner is extremely nice and just a welcoming guy. We would come back when in the city!

Kid wanted Gai Jai chicken. Drove all the way down to find out they went out of business. After some tears, she agreed to try the place that opened up in its place, Green Chillitos. We tried the Chicken Tinga platter, the carnita platter, and shrimp Platter. The Carnitas was the best damn carnitas I've ever had. Many times it's bland, or greasy. This was neither. Seasoned well and texture was perfect. The chicken Tinga had that awesome char flavor with the sauce they use. The rice,.Pico de Gallo, and guacamole all seemed fresh and packed a great flavor. He gave us each a drink. Hochata (think a drinkable rice pudding), mango pineapple drink, and a Jamaican sorrel flower drink. All extremely tasty. He also gave us a sample of their sauces (green, red, and mole). All really good. Great addition to the food scene here. Anxious to try their tacos and burritos.

This is the only place for a reasonably priced but 5 star Mexican food experience! Top of the line food generous quantity and certainly delicious! Must go!

By far the best Mexican food I’ve had in CT, and I’ve had a lot!! Authentic flavors, delicious dishes and the owner is wonderful. Anyone that appreciates a good molé- try the chicken molé it’s amazing!! My husband and I just tried the food and already can’t wait to get it again. We lived part time in Mexico for a while and this is as legit as it gets!

The real deal. Stopped in for some tacos and all expectations were exceeded, the food was well worth the price and had so much flavor. you can seriously taste the care going into the dishes. the owner came out and greeted us and he was super sweet and welcoming. we will 200% be back. the carnitas w/ green sauce tacos are a must try, same w the their homemade watermelon and limeade drinks. tl;dr- go here immediately, this place rocks

This is the kind of restaurant that we should all do our utmost to support, because not only is the food delicious, it is locally owned by a family and they are wonderful and kind people. Their food is great, their homemade juices and drinks are great (horchata was amazing), and the service is wonderful. It's perfect both for takeout as well as super casual dine in (they have outdoor seating as well as small amount of seating inside). The owners gave my kids some complimentary mango drinks which I felt bad accepting because they are too yummy to be complimentary and wrote the sweetest message on our takeout bag. Please everyone, support this local gem! They even have a breakfast menu which looked absolutely delicious.

This has to be the best Mexican food I have had in years. The flavors are incredible and the serving generous.

Ordered the Queso Birria tacos to go for a beach night dinner. Super friendly customer service (even gave us an ice tea while we waited for our order). The Birria Quest tacos including the dipping sauce and the additional garnishes of grilled onion and jalapeño were delicious.

High quality and skillfully prepared dishes at very reasonable prices. Service can be spotty but well worth the wait.

Tacos and shrimp were ok. Both chicken dishes were not so good. Pricy for what it is. Senior Salsa is a close by much better alternative.
