My favorite place for chocolate covered fried cake donuts!

The BEST doughnut shop EVER. Do not miss this place. A true mom & pop gem in the heart of Erie and the owners are lovely humans. I have lived in NYC, Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Denver and have never been able to find a doughnut shop that compares. My grandparents had a cottage on Lake Erie which I have visited from childhood and still do now, and this is the number one business I look forward to frequenting every year. The cake is baked to perfection, icing is just the right amount of sweet, the eclairs have cream that is to die for! The business is clean, the owners are friendly and always treat your kids so sweetly with a donut hole in line, and the locals sitting at the bar for coffee reading the actual newspapers warm your heart. It’s okay to love Erie!

Every time I visit Girard pa. I have to stop at H & K, because who doesn't love fresh donuts on a Saturday morning.

Came in here pretty late in the morning on a Sunday. They were busy but the service was fast and friendly. The kiddos even got some free samples. Clean place and yummy stuff.

The doughnuts are really fantastic and freshly made. It doesn't get much better than their peanut butter cream.

I've enjoyed these donuts since I was a child! NO ONE makes donuts as good as them.....js! Since I moved to TN I've missed them so much and can't find their equal here. It's a must stop when I'm back in Erie! 😊

We stopped at least once or twice a month the little lady working behind the counter is a delight she always seems happy about her job and helping others and she picks us the best donuts for our nurses at dialysis keep up the good work I would love to have those chocolate chocolate glazed donuts more often yum

Love the homemade donuts here, especially the cream filled. But it gets crowded early on the weekends. Any time after nine and the selection goes down rapidly and you may be waiting outside. I am not saying it isn't worth it, just be prepared. Get your workout at Presque Isle done early in morning and then grab a dozen of guilt free donuts as a reward. Extending that smug satisfaction to your late rising friends and family as you all enjoy the donuts is up to you.

Going to HK has been a family camping tradition since I was 13 and now we take my kids there when we go camping! Always a treat to get donuts and hot chocolate once while we are visiting my mom. The service is excellent and you need to get there before 9am to get the best donuts.
