We love going to popple River pub. We love everyone there. We are always treated like family. Such and amazing family and place.

Stopped for pizza on a Friday for lunch. Great service. Pizza was delicious. Beer was delicious.

Nice place! Excellent staff and service. The fish fry was good, and they brew their own beer. The Hwy 139 Amber was very good.

This place rocks !!! My buddy John's cabin is not far away and everything I go up that way I have to stop. Great food, service and true American people around this area and especially at this place. I absolutely love this place. I love to laugh and have great food and drink and this place is Awesome for that.

Very fast service, excellent food, beer was cold, got to visit with friends without feeling rushed.

The pizza was wonderful. They brew their own beer which was also very yummy. Not very kid friendly. Last time we were there the bartender and patrons were yelling and swearing. Please be aware if you have children with you!

Can’t believe we haven’t stopped at this gem till now. Made our first, of what will now be a regular, stop this past weekend. Nice quant establishment with plenty of parking. Kindly greeted by the bartender whom most certainly was not afraid of working hard to take care of her customers, of which on this particular day a split crowd of locals and us out of towners out on the trails. Good vibe to this place and felt welcoming. Bartender enjoyed bantering, joking and having fun with all which added to the fun vibe of the pub. Drinks were made right and priced right. While I didn’t eat on this stop, I most certainly will try their menu options on the next visit. Keep it up Popple River Pub. Looking forward to the next visit.

This place has the best pizza I’ve had in the north woods. The pull pork pizza was awesome. Plenty of toppings and cheese with and excellent sauce that’s just sweet enough. The beer they brew is also quite good, especially the raspberry wheat.

Haen's is a friendly bar with good fish fries and pizza. These are the only things we have tried, but there are many other menu items. We've never been disappointed. Plus, Haen's makes their own beer...flavors vary but are quite interesting. I don't drink beer often, but The Old 139 is a beerI can't pass up.

Pros: Cozy place, good food. Cons: bartenders trash talking with patrons loudly about locals. Also not very attentive when customers need service.

Our family stopped here for the first time while on a drive to see fall colors in our area 🍁🍂. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, there were sports on the TVs around the bar, all of the food everyone in our family ordered was delicious, and my Bloody Mary was outstanding!

This place is fabulous!!! The atmosphere is nice and laid back, and the family that runs this pub are super nice and cool. They take the time to make sure that the quality of their food is the best around. They usually are smoking some type of meat (usually pork for pulled pork menu items) next to the building which smells delicious. Their burgers are delicious and they make the best take and bake pizza in the area, hands down. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try, as one stop and we are repeat customers!
