This place is always busy, so food is always hot, fresh and delicious. Only downside is picnic tables are right next to the drive through. Cash only, but they do have a cash machine right next to the ordering window. 🤔😊

This is a great place to stop for a hardy meal/ snack. Good seating space, shade, and space to stretch your legs, it is cash only but theres an ATM on site. Super close to downtown Redwing MN if you were headed that way.

Love this place. Food is amazing all of it not just the chicken but yes the chicken is amazing too. Side note. They do not accept debit or credit cash only. They do have an ATM right outside the windows you order from.

My wife and I stop for chicken a year ago,it was Great! Yesterday we stopped and got a 8 piece meal.I think they over cooked a Humming bird!!It was the worst chicken We have ever had!The tables were dirty,trash can was over full so I set our trash on top of the can,then A guy worker came out and was pissed that I didnt throw my trash away

Ordered 8 piece bucket chicken. Got home it was all dark . Called and told it was chefs choice. But was charged for a bucket of mixed chicken. The person who answered acted as if I was bothering her . Didn't know when ordering 8 pc bucket of chicken you have to specify 2legs, 2 thighs 2 wings 2 breast. Nice way to run a business .

Old fashion drive in food. I highly recommend their chicken.

Priced a bit high. The broasted chicken was good, but really greasy. They provided 2 napkins only, no plates or utensils. I guess you need to pack yourself all the necessities. We also ordered onion rings, which also were too greasy. The tots were good. Trash can was spilling over, so we had to take our trash with us.

The food at Hager Heights Drive-In is super delicious. If you don't feel like cooking that day, I recommend you visit that place.

My first and last time here! Definitely won't be back to waste my time or money. French fries were not even close to fresh. Burgers were plain - nothing on them. We did not finish our food. Service was lacking communication!

I haven’t had Hager heights in years and decided to drive down 45 minutes so I could show my bf how amazing the chicken is there. Sadly the minute we got the chicken in the car I could smell the old fryer oil. It’s a smell and taste that is hard to get rid of. We got home and when we sat down to eat neither of us could eat the chicken. It taste like it had been in week old fryer oil :(. It happens. Not the end of the world. I’ll definitely be back someday but just a bummer to drive all that way and couldn’t eat it.

Nice surprise while driving HWY 35. For a chicken joint, it was exactly what we thought it would be. Service good, Chicken was great. We will stop again when traveling through.

Excellent chicken! Stopped in for a bite after smelling the chicken almost a mile away. The prices were very reasonable, and we only had to wait a few minutes to get our food. The chicken had very good flavor, as did the beans and coleslaw. They also have the crinkle cut fries I like. I will definitely be stopping again when I am in the area.Don't forget to save room for ice cream! Biker friendly too!

Super overrated, the burgers are school food quality. The curds are fine. The shakes are the only good thing. But it's more expensive than the Culvers which is a 10 min drive away. Right next to a major highway intersection so the road noise is loud. All in all, don't waste your time and money, just go to Culvers.

It's always a pleasure returning here and the chicken, YES, Please!! Their can sometimes be a wait depending on how busy it is, so DO NOT think fast food here. The staff is great, and the one gentleman who I believe is the owner at the walk-up window is like a human calculator. He has your total as soon as you confirm your order is complete!

A time travel back into my childhood days. These were the type of restaurants and style that were cutting edge back in the day. There's no roller what waitresses but the atmosphere is close. Picnic tables and shade trees and then these picnic tables they have next to the building for dining. This is old school Classic American eats. I gave it only a 3 star because unfortunately my chicken and fries were not fresh out the fryer. The chicken was good they have a tasty recipe. A little more crunchy than KFC original but not like extra crispy chicken like I really love. I got the 2 piece dinner which comes with beans, coleslaw, toast and choice of mashed potatoes or fries. Beans weren't anything special, coleslaw was OK, toast was toast. But what shined like a diamond was the clam strips! They were salty sweet, tender and succulent! I'd go back several times a week just for those! Looking forward to trying their burgers and fried mushrooms and shakes as well. If your in the area and looking for an old school drive through experience is give this place a try. They only except cash but have an ATM on site. And are only open during the spring, summer and early fall months. Update I went back on the 12 of September the next day and they were closed for the season so I made it just in time for the year.
