I AM 72 YEARS OLD, AND THE BOILED CRAWFISH WERE THE BEST THAT I HAVE EATEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE !!! I CAN HARDLY WAIT UNTIL NEXT CRAWFISH SEASON !!!

The only crawfish that were better than these are the ones we do at home. The seasoning is really good, but not enough garlic 😋. They were cooked just right, easy to peel with huge claws!! 🦞 They cost high, though!! Three 5lb orders and 3 beers were $150 plus tip.

My first time ever having crawfish. One of the best meals I've ever had, with the nicest staff and the best ambiance.

If you want delicious, non-gritty, juicy crawfish then you want Hawks! We would drive 1 1/2 hours to eat here once a year. Now we are lucky enough to have moved close by! This place prides itself on clean crawfish and that’s just what you get. It’s 100% worth the drive

Great boiled crawfish, just inconsistent seasoning. My last batch (I ordered the "regular," was not seasoned at all. However, the service and boiling were exceptional.

This place had the best crawfish In central Louisiana. Always the cleanest and biggest crawfish. It is out in the middle of nowhere but it’s worth every mile it takes to get there. If you like boiled crawfish and haven’t been to Hawk’s then you need to try it.

Best boiled crawfish EVER!!!! Almost a religious experience. Cleanest crawfish, super sweet meat, well seasoned. Had the special which included a generous pound of boiled shrimp as well. They were just as good as the crawfish.

Lived in this area for most of my life and always heard how great Hawk's was but never been until some co-workers wanted to go while I was in town for work. The crawfish were ok but it seemed most people were here for the booze and crawfish experience. If that is your thing then you should check them out. If not, there are better crawfish joints in the area.

I'm eating just about every restaurant you can think of in South Louisiana, not taste it better crawfish etouffee here. All crawfish was exquisite. The shrimp was fabulous. The breadfruit is unbelievable. Thank you for a wonderful meal, service and a good time

My wife and I went there for the first time. Experience was good. Great waitress. Nice cajun decor. Food on the other hand not so much. The crawfish were clean and large. Astronomically priced. They were 7 dollars a pound. The market is 1.50 at this time. I refused to buy any for myself and I thought they were very under seasoned. My wife on the other hand thought they were terrific. She is a Yankee by the way. I got the etoufee and shrimp. Etoufee was filling and that's about it.

I'm sorry but this is not the best crawfish ever. This place disappointed me for the second time. Ordered hot or extra spicy with a group at 5 pounds at a time( big group) the seasoning is on the outside. Anyone from Louisiana knows that the season does not go on the outside. And then there is no spice. They serve the spicy with a jalapeno 🤦🏾‍♀️ I guess that's what makes it spicy. Don't get me wrong. They are a nice size. But they do not soak them. Soaking is the key. Period....cook them in plain water and salt. Then soak for 5 to 10 min in seasoning pot. And try a different season. Their season has sugar. Ain't nothing spicy when u add sugar

Hawk’s is absolutely amazing and worth seeking out. I had one of the best meals in my life there last night. I thought I had had good crawfish before but my experience here was on a completely different level. I don’t ever want to have crawfish anywhere else again. We live in California and already are thinking about our next trip to come back and visit. The service is great as well and the space is so inviting.

This place is just amazing. I thought I have had good crawfish boils before but Hawk’s is the absolute best. I don’t know if I can ever have crawfish anywhere else ever again! I had one of the best meals ever there last night and the service was great as well. (Thank you Drew!) The flavor of their purged crawfish is sweeter and so succulent with the perfect blend of seasoning. You seriously need to experience this place. Just do yourself a favor and seek them out.

This Cajun Crawfish Institution is a classic boiled crawfish roadhouse, located at the end of a gravel road surrounded by crawfish ponds. If you are anywhere close it would be a big mistake not to visit Hawks. A true classic.

Had a great dinner last night. We arrived about an hour before opening and we are glad we did, by the time the doors opens the lone was out to the road! That didnt stop them from ver quickly getting everyone seated. Our waitress drew was great, the crawfish were fresh, perfect seasoned to and plentiful! We had bread pudding for dessert and that did not disappoint. Thanks for a great meal, would love to come back if we are in the area!

Awesome boiled crawfish. They are off the beaten path but should not be overlooked if you want some of the best crawfish with 500 miles. The only other place with boiled crawfish this good is in Basile. If you are anywhere near Lafayette don't waste your time with other places, hop in your car and make this drive. You will not be disappointed. They are only opened during crawfish season and only when the crawfish are plentiful so call them before you go just to make sure. The parking lot fills up very quickly.

We read all the hype and studied the reviews and were so excited to go but sadly were disappointed. We had boiled crawfish but they almost tasted like bleach or cleaning solution. maybe they didnt rinse out the buckets well after cleaning them idk but it was gross. When we told our waitress, she was confused and said she didnt know what to do. We helped her and told her to bring the manager by and we would pdiscuss. Manager never came by. We sat for 22 minutes before getting the check that we were charged full price for the 6 crawfish I ate on a 5lb tray. Asked for the manager again and waited 32 minutes. Paid in full but we will never go back. After we ask for mgmt waitress avoided us like the plague

I called it the restaurant in the middle of no where, I did not even knew this place existed until i start delivering ice there. The owners are super nice. The crawfish is excellent I really don't care what other people post.

Great crawfish. Super clean. Sauce could be a little more spicy... I added some Tabasco and their special garlic sauce and a little sauce and it was perfect. Cleanest crawfish ever and they’re HUGE. Worth the drive. They have other menu items also. Bread pudding is very very good for desert.

Huge crawfish, best I have ever eaten. Nice yellow fat. We got there extra extra hot, and really it's not as hot as you think. I like my fingers and lips to burn, they didn't. That is the only reason I didn't give em 5 stars. Also, bread pudding is not worth it. It is lacking flavor. We tried their seafood stuffed jalapenos, very good. Overall, best crawfish around and will go back!!!

We live in Lafayette, La and kept hearing about Hawks Crayfish. The crayfish was very good and very clean tasting. Otherwise the menu was not too interesting and the salads were mediocre to say the least. No ambience to speak of If you want to go on an excursion out to the country its a destination.

The absolute best crawfish I have ever eaten. They are so clean. You don’t have “smelly hands” after eating them, ever! That’s a big bonus to me. This place has spoiled me to any other crawfish place, actually. We drive from Baton Rouge frequently during their open season.

The Crawfish is as great as everyone says n totally worth the drive. The fried bread n bread pudding is also amazing!! The only thing missing is that they don't do all the fixings that I love to have with my Crawfish; the red potatoes, sausage, mushrooms n corn.

They are literally located in the middle of nowhere (as the t-shirts state) bit are one of the best places to get boiled crawfish anywhere around (except for D.I's which is a further drive for me). I will definitely go here again as the spicy crawfish were wonderfully seasoned and they were boiled to perfection. Much better than the places located in Lafayette and worth the drive. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

They really are located out in the middle of nowhere! Well worth the drive for the best crawfish in town. Go early or be prepared to wait. Be sure and save room for the bread pudding! It’s well worth the calories!

Slightly “out of the way” but the location is awesome. The crawfish were some of the biggest I’ve ever eaten, seasoned perfect and service was very good. The only negative was that the crawfish were so good that we ordered some to go for the next day but sadly those we ordered to go were small and no comparison to what we ate in the restaurant.

We got there right when they opened (5pm), and there was a line of people waiting out the door! We ordered crawfish, they took about an hour to be served to us but they were worth the wait. All medium and large crawfish, perfectly purged.

Well worth the challenge to find the place! Family type atmosphere & the best boiled seafood around!

This is the “Disney World” of crawfish! Once you have them here you will never be the same. My husband and I have been known to eat there three nights in a row on some of our visits to the area!

If u are ever in south Louisiana and you are in the mood to try crawfish then this is your place. Just remember it is a seasonal places. Usually open from about January to May every year! Regular seasoning is perfect for those that don’t like alot of spice and it only gets hotter from there. They do boil them in seasoned water and they also pit seasoning on them! Just perfect!

Used gps to find which made it pretty easy to locate.Got the 3 lb Crawfish and asked for the regular seasoning which was very mild.When they are this clean,I don't like too much seasoning to get in the way of the taste.The wife got a Hamburger which was pretty good.They also have chicken tenders for those that don't like seafood.

They used to have the best crawfish money could buy, which made it worth the drive and extra money! With that being said the last two or three years, the quality has gone down!!! We have always gone there to celebrate my brother and father's birthday, as well as my own. This year may be the last time!!! So disappointing, as we have had years of good memories and good food there!!!

This is a hidden gem. They have the best food here. We make a special trip every year, just to get their food. It has always been excellent. Highly recommend this place to everyone, you will not be disappointed.

Had dinner here in April 2016 during a Casino run ( over from Houston). We had a little of everything they had to offer, to include the bread pudding. It was the best, can't recommend it enough. You owe to yourself to make the trip.
