This is hands down the best bar in BATON ROUGE. Cocktails are amazing, great beer selection. Alyssa, Andre, Charlie, Nick, and Brian are awesome. The best of all is Rachel, I have never had a Negroni as good as the one she made me. I compare every one I drink to it. But, I do wish they had coors light……

Definitely will continue to go back. The drinks look and taste amazing.

My go-to place EVERYTIME I come to BTR! Best handcrafted cocktails and love the free red beans and rice days and Wednesday night jazz!! I travel a lot is this is one of my favorite places!

We went in for drinks so in all honesty the 5 star for food is really for the drinks.

I sat at the bar for almost 10 minutes and out of 4 bartenders, no one approached me for service. As a service worker, specifically bartending, I was very off putted and upset. When I finally asked someone for a drink, they attempted to charge me $21 premium liquor price, when I simply asked for a whiskey and coke. I expected them to use a whiskey well but to my dismay, they didn’t. Even after I brought my issues up with management, my complaints weren’t even acknowledged. Lastly, a visiting group of service workers from LSU had merged with my two comrades for a lively conversation about 30mins before closing. That was apparently not the best time to end my already “long” night because at 2:10am, another bartender came outside and very aggressively and rudely asked us to pass her the cushions we were sitting on and proceeded to tell us that we should have left a long time ago. This world isn’t about color but the group sitting outside I just mentioned consisted of white and black, males and females and we all had the same feelings about the way we were just treated. What I experienced at the bar happened to me, alone, a black male. I truly don’t believe this had anything to do with color or gender. This came down to a simple thing could customer service……something this place seems to greatly lack in practice and overall business sense. Shoutout to the interior designer and the DJ (I wanted to dance like a sexy-man lol) this past Friday night, though!

Quiet Speakeasy Vibes 🍸🥃 Spent a weekend in Baton Rouge and decided to check this place out. We did not try or ask for food as we had dinner plans already. But the service was awesome! Sadly our bartender was moving on to another career but I will be back for sure. On the interior, you will find PLENTY of seating with chairs and couches to create little pockets of relax zones. There was even a back parlor for additional seating out of the main space. Dimly lit but not dark really gives that speakeasy vibe 😎 We tried the Champagne Cocktail and a French 75 to start. I have never tried a CC, but it’s essentially bitters, brandy, sugar cube and topped with champagne. Very fresh and I love a bubble 🥂! To close out, we got an Old Fashioned and a Dirty Martini 🍸

In town for continuing education and usually research what cocktail bars I want to visit and this one caught my eye. The vibe is cool, but I walked into the bartender saying to a couple of patrons that it was his last few days and would make the most out of their employee discount and get drunk. It wasn't the greatest first impression at all... the drink they made was ok. The other bartender made me a boulevardier that was good.

Great vibe, atmosphere, and friendly bartender staff! Happy hour drink prices until 7pm. Thursday has live jazz music 7:30p-10:30p. These bartenders are very experienced and know what they’re doing. No dinner options (sometimes charcuterie board). Great place for drinks and music! A hidden gem!

We rented the back room on Friday night for my sisters welcome party after her rehearsal dinner, and it was incredible! We had about 20 people show up and were glad we rented the space for a few hours because the venue was packed. We had a bartender who waited on us the whole time, but were also allowed to go to the bar. The drinks were great, and the atmosphere was fun! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved the atmosphere! Took a few minutes to get service, but the drinks were great. The bartenders only added to the vibe and made it worth the wait. I definitely recommend checking out Hayride Scandal. It's a great place just to have a drink and be in a chill atmosphere with friends or a date.

HS has that speakeasy feel but it's in plain sight. The service and cocktails were spot on and the furnishings were very comfortable. Our group of 4 had no problem getting seats at 7:30 but within the hour the lounge was starting to fill up.

I went here on a Wednesday night on a date and it was such a cozy and nostalgic experience. The drink selection is amazing as well as the jazz music that carries along in your background. I’m definitely going to be back here sooner than soon.

Didn't get anything to eat but had a few cocktails with friends. Atmosphere is dimmed lights with lounge type furniture (i.e. sofas/chairs) in huddled seating arrangement. Was a bit crowded -- not a place I would select to go without a group but okay place.

We hosted a grad toast/party in their private room and I cannot say enough about how perfect it was. Remi - top notch guy! Easy to deal with and went out of his way to make our family and friends feel welcomed and created a great time. Recommend for any function! Beautiful space. Great cocktails. Great people.

Awesome cocktail bar with inventive drinks and amazing atmosphere. Was visiting family for graduation weekend and we made several visits throughout the week. Each time we were impressed by the friendly staff and will definitely be recommend anyone to check this place out. Especially felt comfortable for a diverse crowd of people to gather and feel safe.

Met a friend there…she insisted I check with his place out because I would love the aesthetic. Let me say, she was right! Stopped in and sat at bar. What a cozy place. Great atmosphere, along with festively done right and tastefully. We chatted at the bar, with a delicious Old Fashion. Had some of the Happy Hour gumbo, which was actually pretty great, too. Loved our bar tender, as well. Not bad for a quick stop for a drink. If I’m ever in town again, this is a definite stop for me

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! I went to get drinks after work on a Wednesday and only got one drink so I paid for that but later looked on my card and was charged $75!!!!! I have tried emailing and reaching out but NO RESPONSE. I really liked this place but it seems they are taking advantage of people.

A friend and myself visted Hayride Scandal recently, it was AMAZING! I absolutely loved the entite setup and the service was incredible our Beautiful Bartender was Katie. This setup is nice for a night out with friends, a date etc. Definately one of my new places to chill and have a drink will be visiting again.

Forgive me for not wanting the place to blow up. It is not for everybody. If you want a place to have quiet conversations, reasonably priced drinks, good music (jazz on Thursdays), and a great atmosphere, then this is the place.

We loved it!! It was so nice to be in a place where you could listen to great music but also carry on a conversation. Last night was our first time at HS but it won’t be our last.

They have some great drinks here and the atmosphere is cool. Bar service is terrible though. Sitting at the bar for 10 mins on what didn't seem like a busy night, the bartender actually looked over us twice to take other people's orders that walked in after us. Theybwere litetally behind us. Anytime we wanted to get a drink we had to wave at her and almost beg for service. This was sitting at the bar with her 5 feet from us. Not sure why we got such poor service but it probably saved us $80 on drinks we didn't get to order.

Best craft bar in Baton Rouge because it feels like you're in Houston or Dallas when you're inside.

Drinks were tasty and they offer an excellent and diverse selection, BUT they are way overpriced for the small antique-era glasses used. Further, no food or snacks, etc., which is a no-geaux for me.
