Where else in the world 🌎 can you get amazing barbecue 🍖 🐖 (On the cheap!!!), A gun, a hunting license, a fishing 🎣 rod and 🪱 bait, and a fishing license! This place is from another time!!

Im a bbq nut, I’ve eaten all over this country and I’m often dissatisfied. This place was good and we will be back. I had the two meat combo plate with baby backs and brisket two sides fried Okra and corn pudding, all were very good! $14 is a super great value for the portions I received. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and enjoyed it, it was a large portion. I personally could have used more seasoning on the meat, but it’s easy to add. Can’t wait to get back with the whole family.

We got the burnt ends with Mac and cheese and coleslaw along with the half rack of baby back ribs with fried okra and collard greens- for dessert, the HUGE brownie! Meat was smoked well and delicious- they also gave a generous helping of the okra. Cashier was kind as well.

Pretty good spot, you’d never know it was there unless you’re local. Good smoke flavor.

One of the best barbecue places in Western North Carolina. Outstanding, highly recommend. Everything is homemade. Nothing comes from a can or frozen.

I have given this place multiple chances. Every time, one or two items are bad. Today was the absolute last straw. Got a half rack of ribs, green beans and fries. Fries were the only thing they didn’t mess up. The green beans were absolute mush, like they have been on a stovetop for 6 hours. The ribs were comically bad. Hard, rubbery and impossible to eat. I literally had to pry them apart. I didn’t eat them. I want to support local businesses, but between bad barbecue and aaaaaallll the terrifying Christian Nationalst wall art, I will never give them another dime.

I would without a doubt make the drive from Asheville to Marshall for the sole purpose of eating their “nachos”. They were absolutely amazing - and if you save some of them for after a night of drinking, they’re insanely better.

30 dollars for pulled pork that we tossed for cold pizza. Green beans tasted like they were supposed to be collards pork tasted unseasoned at best and the macaroni looked like it was from KFC. They need to go to a real BBQ place or something. It was disgusting.

High Ridge helped us with the food for a Church event and did an amazing job. We had to get the food ordered on short notice but High Ridge was able to get us what we needed and was on time for the pickup, all while having great customer service.

I love this place! I’m as local as they come, born and raised WNC, and I’ve been all over for BBQ. My husband and I both love the food. High Ridge, take my advice or leave it (we will still frequent for the wonderful food) but I would be in heaven if you guys would come up with a good mayo based bbq sauce. That’s the only recommendation I can come up with! The brisket and fried okra is our favorite. If you haven’t had the bbq, you’re missing out! I also highly respect how they put family first, and take care of their employees by closing for time off. This is how a good business is run. Thank you guys for being here and serving up some amazing BBQ!

Best brisket and collards. Live in Candler. Yes, I will and have driven 45 minutes one way to eat here. It's that good. Best brisket. Best collards. You will ever eat.

I have been here 3 different times including today, July 4th. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is excellent. I especially like the sweet corn pudding and bbq bean as the sides to accompany the bbq. Be sure to take home a large brownie for later.

This must be a place the locals don’t want to tell anyone else about because I hadn’t heard of it during my crazy Pinterest “where to eat” searches, but let me tell you. We saw this place on the side of the road and IT WAS THE BEST BBQ we’ve ever had. We ate our whole meal, then went back and bought more so we could have a second dinner late at night. It was literally to die for. Best place I ate during my entire vacation.

I wish I had taken a picture of our barbecue sandwich, but I was so hungry I dove right in before thinking about a photo, but I can tell you, it was textbook and appearance, very delicious, with soft bun and great coleslaw. The baked beans were delicious also. The staff was fast and friendly.

This is a hidden gem. We stopped with a large group and every single person raved how excellent the BBQ was. I went with the Brisket. One pound is A LOT of meat. The bark was super crispy and flavorful. Amazing! Check out my pic! Corn pudding - yes please! Excellent! Fried okra and potato salad was to die for. Service with a smile. Overall just an excellent meal.

Amazing ! The first time there definitely not the last.the food was unbelievable. Place was very clean, the staff was extremely nice to us, we got there 20 min before closing, the food was fresh, hot. So much bbq on the bun it falls off b4 you take a bite. I would recommend this little place to everyone.

Great place to refuel after a nice FB9 paddle. Great food and sauces, I'm from the Southwest and Texas so I'm very picky about BBQ. I mix the spicy mustard sauce with the sweet and smoky sauce... so good. If you see the pork quesadilla on special, order it! I always take 1 Super huge brownie home which takes me about 3 days to finish. I eat here often and the food quality and portions are consistent.

Great food and great service! Some of the best in the county. My personal favorites are the ribs, toast, and the beans.

I live right down the road and I had never been in until today. I ordered country ribs, Mac n cheese and collards. In this part of the state a good vinegar bbq sauce is hard to come by but Y'ALL this is hands down the best I've ever had. I mixed it with the mustard base bbq sauce and it was literally amazing. The prices are right and I truly enjoyed my lunch! Will definitely be back 💕

This is the place that is different when you're tired of the chain restaurants, country food or Mexican. I had the 1/4 chicken plate with fried okra, collard greens (my favorite green here) and added an extra side, sweet corn pudding. Yummy, yum!!!! Your drink choice is unlimited. You cannot go wrong eating here.

Best BBQ outside of Texas. Very unassuming place. Would have never gone there, or even realized it was a legit BBQ restaurant, if someone hadn’t told me about it. Made an hour detour on our road trip and it was worth it.

Great BBQ and convenient place to purchase firearms. Everyone is friendly and the guys at the gun counter are very knowledgeable.
