First time here, parking is tight. Paid lots and street parking are what I saw, possibly more around back. Lots of people outside as there are many offices attached. Very clean over here, just outside of down town. Small menu but good and fresh! Fair prices. Seating available inside, also has an actual restaurant as well. Friend staff. Would recommend and would return, especially since it’s for a good cause. Keep it up!

I finally got to try this place. It isn’t just good it’s Great! I had the house coffee, avocado toast with eggs over easy, and the homegirl potatoes. All excellent. I kept seeing the pancakes. Next time. They had coffee cake like they used to serve back in the day when I was in school during nutrition. I’ll definitely have to try that. The bathroom was nice and clean. My server Manny was great and made sure that I had everything. Service was excellent and with a smile 🫵🏼🏁

Stopped in to Homegirl Cafe for lunch after shopping at LAX-C, the Thai "Costco" on North Main Street in Los Angeles. Homegirl Cafe is very good!! Had the Chilis Releno sandwich on sourdough (a first for me) and it was excellent! Great service, very friendly staff, good parking and nice menu selections. Highly recommend.

The Chilaquiles were so good! First time, and I loved it! I added Carne asada. Delicious. Their red sauce is incredible. Chill atmosphere and really friendly.

I love the HomeGirl café, the staff is nice, the food is amazing, and the best part of all is that they help give people a second chance of life.

The staff were all polite, smiling, courteous and most helpful. We ate in the cafe, bought bakery goods to go (all baked on premises), and shopped in their little store. Each person is so grateful to “Father G” ; Father Greg Boyle founder of Homeboy and its incredible outreach program.

Wow, what an impressive business and even more impressive group of individuals! Todd, beaming with life and positivity, warmly welcomed us and showed us around, even performed an incredible magic trick that blew not only my kids minds, but my mind as well. A great selection of baked goods and yummy food at a very reasonable price. As we were enjoying our food, we met another amazing worker, Manuel, who is just great at his job. He shared some of his inspiring and redemptive story with us. We also received a warm welcome from the staff in the gift shop and walked away with some great swag we can’t wait to represent homeboy with! My wife, kids and I made a special trip just to see this business, that is truly trying to redeem and bless its community with the love of Jesus. Pro tip: highly recommend reading their book Tattoos on the Heart

Went here on a field trip and it was so good! Everyone was so nice to us and it was a very nice place. Neighborhood 🫤 place itself 😱 So amazing and yummy!! I wish I was able to try a treat because their deserts looked so good to! The inside of the place was very big and good for big groups.

I love this place! The food is sooo good, the servings are big and you feel great supporting a place that is actively helping others. My family enjoyed eating here for breakfast. Even though it’s very far from us, it’s worth it for us to keep coming back.

More than a restaurant, this is a foundational community resource. Located within Homeboy Industries, the cuisine is Mex/American and delicious. Staff are all Homeboy “clients,” former gangers seeking a path out of crime. Highly recommend the tacos.

The food here is bloody splendid and they give you massive portions. Had a breakfast burrito. Bit of a food desert in Chinatown in the morning and this place is legit. Plus it's a good cause.

Was fortunate enough to be working in LA this week so was able to have lunch here! The food was amazing and the service was even better! We walked over to the merchandise store to shop as well and the service there was also exceptional! We had a cookie and some cake from the bakery and it was divine. This is a must visit when you're in the area!

Amazing service and delicious food- a true LA Mecca of goodness with tremendous stories. Love that the patrons all come from interesting walks of life- the table next to us was a group of civil grand jurors on lunch break, behind us was board members of a non-profit and I was have a fab catch up with one of my former PhD professors in education. I enjoyed 1/2 of a beautiful chili relleno sandwich and took the other 1/2 home. With more people an order of chiliquetas is a must. Thank you Homeboy for making Homegirl cafe possible.

I stopped by for lunch. I enjoyed my salad they had big portions for a decent price. They also had a delicious berry Fresca, on top of that it’s all for a good cause and my waitress was super friendly.

Stopped for a quick breakfast while passing through LA. Wow! I can't remember what the sandwich was called, but it was similar to a BLT with egg and avocado (I ordered with no bacon.) It was exceedingly delicious and unexpected. Despite the early hour, the staff were friendly and energetic.

Food is delicious, workers are fantastic/helpful. It’s still fun to go even though the indoor dining is now closed- there are tables outdoors and a small patio on the side.

Clean, friendly, great tasting food!

Went to Homegirl today for brunch and left very satisfied. My boyfriend and I split the chili relleno grilled cheese, which I read was very popular, with a side salad. The grilled cheese was more than filling and all of the veggies in it were seasoned perfectly. We got it on the sourdough bread, which I highly recommend. The sandwich also came with egg on it. The side salad was light and had a delicious dressing.

Home Girl Cafe has amazing one of a kind food. The tastes here are diverse as the hard working people that take care of this place. Parking is a bit tight but it is right off a gold line stop show there's no excuse to not try it out.

Finally made it in to Homegirl Cafe and it did not disappoint. The chilaquiles were on point and the staff was very kind.

Love their green chilaquiles! And the paulinas latte is a must!! Customer service and food are usually great. Until I tried to order cantering. Reason for -2 stars. The employee named "Rocio" was an absolute deterrent in considering Homegirls for my event. I asked for specific items and she would suggest complete opposites. I get suggestions can come in handy but if I've kindly declined once already, can we just talk about what I want? Without giving me the run around. After all I want my guest to be happy like she should want her customers happy! In the end I chose another catering company. And would only give Homegirls another try if "Rocio" is no longer the point of contact.

You MUST try the carne asada tacos. They are so delicious!!! They have excellent customer service! Everyone is so friendly.

This is part of the assistance program started by Father Greg Boyle, so it's already an awesome cause in the effort to help folks realize their worth and gain the skills needed to get back on their feet. That aside, our family had an awesome lunch experience. Each of my kids ordered their tacos, which are 3 for $10 and you may select from any of the tacos on the menu for the 3 you want. You can even substitute a cactus leaf for the tortilla shell. Both of my kids enjoyed their tacos and I believe the white fish option was their favorite. My wife ordered the chile relleno grilled cheese on multi-grain bread and a mixed salad for the side. The sandwich was huge and was one of the best tasting items I ate in my entire week in the L.A. area. I ordered the special for the day which was chilaquiles (chips coated in one of their salsas with cheese and onions) and included sides of potatoes and beans. I also chose to add scrambled eggs. It was a huge plate and I was stuffed for the remainder of the day. Everything tasted awesome. We also bought a couple of items from the bakery to take with us for a later dessert since none of us had any room. If we were to return to the area, we would definitely come back here. Highly recommend scheduling ahead for a tour of everything the facility offers.
