This was our second time coming here to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday it’s most definitely a 10/10 recommend place for celebration, the staff is really friendly, clean environment & everything is fresh.

Very good. I like that you have a larger selection of broths. And there is a good selection of different foods.

The place be as clean as a newly scrubbed deck, with tidy restrooms fit fer even the pickiest of landlubbers. And there be plenty of room to anchor yer vessel in their ample parkin’ lot, makin’ it a convenient and fresh experience fer all ye diners. * Aye, there be potential on the horizon! Though the current offerings be as scarce as rum in a dry port, methinks they might be plottin’ to expand their menu soon enough. Cons: The selection, though, be as limited as a pirate’s chance at a fair trial! Compared to other hotpot taverns near USF, the vittles and appetizers be slim pickin's, and yer overall feast may be left wanting. * The portion sizes, they be small, like a measly ration on a long voyage. With $30 per head for dinner and an extra $5 for the BBQ, ye might be wishin’ ye’d found a larger pot to fill yer belly. The lunch, however, be a bit cheaper for ye thrifty souls. * As for sweets, arrr, ye best not be expectin’ a treasure trove! The lack of dessert be leavin' yer taste buds adrift, with naught but the memory of what could've been. * Lastly, the ambiance—quiet as the doldrums! If ye be seekin’ the liveliness of a rowdy tavern, ye’ll be disappointed by the near-empty halls of this establishment. Overall: Hot Pot World, she’s got some good bones, like a sturdy ship. Clean, convenient, aye, but with slim pickings fer food, small portions, and no sweet treats, ye may find yerself sailin' to other ports fer a heartier feast. Should they fix these shortcomings and offer a broader bounty, she might yet be a finer place to drop anchor.

Coming into this restaurant i wasnt expecting much, but this restaurant showed me how to live. Just like a wise man named Shoya said, “teach me how to live” and thats what this restaurant did. the food was spectacular dare i say vespacious. service was triumphant pretty lit even twizzy. the atmosphere to me felt a little claustrophobic, felt like i didnt have much space to work with. BUT, hot pot will go down as one of the greats. boom, booya

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Clean, delicious, good value for the money (so hard to find nowadays), great service and so nice that they do no to hotpot and Korean bbq. It is Chinese style food selection but they still have bulgogi, spicy pork belly and kimchi. Honestly amazing, I will be back very soon!

Went here for dinner last night and can't wait to go back. I'd done Korean BBQ before but never hot pot. I really liked the hot pot experience and it was the best Korean BBQ I've had outside San Francisco. The only thing missing was I wish they explained the process more- if my friend wasn't with me, it would not have been clear what was for hot pot.

I love it here. First, I want to preface this review with saying that I have extremely high expectations, so the fact that HotPot World delivers on my expectations every time is a quality most restaurants do not have. My family and I come here at least twice per month, if not more. The food seems to be of great quality, everything is fresh and although you cook everything yourself, it it’s all prepped very well for the BBQ grill. The staff is amazing, they are so welcoming and always very attentive to our table whenever we need something. The bathrooms are clean, and the utensils and plates are clean. I am a bit of an overbearing mom, so I don’t just take my son to any place to eat since I am a freak about germs. This place meets my expectations for me to bring my son here as well. Last but not least, they always accommodate our dietary restrictions for fried rice. The Buffett offers pork fried rice, but we cannot eat pork, so they kindly make us a fresh batch of egg fried rice whenever we come in. I am very pleased with Hot Pot World and will recommend it to anyone who’s willing to try them out!

Great hotpot and BBQ experience! Nice selection of broths for the hotpot, and lots and lots of fresh meats, seafood, veggies, and more to cook. Our server Jackie was fantastic and really helpful throughout the night making it an enjoyable experience. There are some pre-cooked options to enjoy including rice, fried shrimp, and mozzarella sticks. There's plenty of desserts such as cakes, ice cream, and rice pudding as well.

So tasty! I eat much Taiwan steam pot and Chinese and Korean hot pot in China so I have some experience. First time visit was the best, going back for more this weekend. Keep up the great work!

Shhhhh-it is 🔥 af. Gotta be prepared to spend some money ($35 for the soup/grill combo per person, but definitely worth it—not too bad considering inflation and McDonalds is like $12/person). The food is amazing. 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. Granted, I’m a white guy with very little Korean food experience, so my pallet isn’t that educated when it comes to hot pot. But you know what? It didn’t matter. The waiter showed us what to do, gave my wife and I suggestions, and was super friendly. Also, I exercise and eat a lot. You can get all the protein you need here. Spicy and regular pork belly (bacon), ribeye, spicy and regular beef bulgogi, chicken, salmon, shrimp, oysters, muscles, beef tongue, beef short rib (my fave), the list goes on… It’s like a buffet challenge. 10 types of broth and tons of meat, veggies, and ramen for the broth, and deserts too. We got pork bone for flavor, veggies, and soup, and spicy Szechuan for cooking the meats. It was all delicious. Obligatory quote from my wife: “Food was delicious, bbq was fun, and service was great”. I’m probably forgetting more awesome stuff, but long story short, don’t come here if you don’t like great food and service and friendly people. 11/10. Will come back again, and again, and again.

In three words: Best Friends Destination Romantic or Platonic - you all should try hot pot in general, but more specifically, Hot Pot World. I enjoyed the personal hotpot, which allowed for each of us to have a soup base that we desired - I went with the mushroom base, which was the perfect choice for me (also a pretty simple base to work with). For $5.00 more, I added the Korean BBQ grill. This was an excellent move because "You get the BEEST OF BOTH WORLDS." - Hannah Montana Now, this is also great because you can do this with friends, but I arrived late and they were ready to seat me as a single person...so "TREAT YO'SELF" day, this is an option as well (Shout out to the Donna Meagle of Pawnee, Indiana) All in all, I shared a wonderful meal with the best of friends and slept SO WELL!

Went here a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience!! First time ever having hot pot with my little sister and our waitress was absolutely amazing!!! I think her name was Xao. She was so friendly and helpful! Very patient too and showed us how to use everything. The food itself was amazing!!! The endless options are great to choose from for a nice affordable range of food

Excellent friendly service, they cleared dirty dishes and kept drinks and hot pot broth filled. Good options and they had snow crab upon request at no extra charge. They also have some hot foods, e.g. fries, wings, egg rolls, and fried rice for pickier kids

My friends and I had a party of 14 and were seated in a private room in the back. The vibes were on point amazing service and we even got to do karaoke. This was my first time doing a hot pot and the waitresses were so helpful with showing us how to cook the food. If you’re looking for a fun and unique dining experience this is it!

We had such a wonderful first experience with Hot Pot & Korean BBQ at Hot Pot World! First impressions upon entering were great; friendly staff, bright, & very clean. The buffet was kept well stocked & had a TON of variety. Being my first time, I had quite a few questions and asked for a number of recommendations, and they were all spot on. The Tom Yum soup base is lovely if you like spice and I highly recommend the house sauce alone for bbq meats or in a dipping sauce (ask for the special house mix from the sauce bar and add lots of garlic and cilantro. YUM! I particularly enjoyed the lamb skewer, pork belly, and peppered beef for BBQ and the corn, mushrooms, peppers & onions in the hot pot with your favorite noodle. Don't be afraid to eat with your hands and don't sleep on this place! Can't wait to go back!

Update on 5/11/24: It’s still really good here !! Nothin changed from my last review other than to state they stayed consistent with their quality and service. We came at around 5pm on a Wednesday night before the dinner rush. Very slow at this time but we didn’t mind ! Our Server was def on it!! Came by every so often to check on us, refilled our drinks, and even initially helped put our meat on the grill after we made our meat run…. This place definitely one of the best hot pot places I’ve been to in the Tampa area, and conveniently in the Northdale Carollwood area ! The hot pot place Korean bbq spot we needed on this side of Tampa !! Food was really fresh, including the veggies, meat, seafood, desserts… we’ll definitely be back soon !

My daughter and I went to this restaurant on 5/11 Saturday to celebrate the Mother’s Day weekend. We will NOT come back again and we do NOT recommend it to any friends. 1. Food: food is meh… Nothing is exceptional. They charged the dinner price on weekend lunch, but we didn’t really see anything fancy that worth the dinner price. The snow legs are neither fresh nor meaty. The broth base tastes very plain. BTW, the waitress told us that all broth base is the same, and they will add different stuff (e.g., pork bone, chicken or mushroom) into the same soup base before serving the pot to the table. 2. Waitress: our waitress is friendly and attentive to us. 3. Manager Julie (or Julia?): We saw the pop up promotion page on Facebook that they are offering $10 off for each mom customer till the Mother’s Day. We also saw a blackboard outside the restaurant when we walked in which says $10 off for mom. We also verbally double checked with our waitress that I can get $10 off for Mother’s Day. However, the final bill didn’t reflect the $10 promotion. Then the waitress called the manager Julie to come over. Julie told me the promotion was for Sunday only. And she further said that “if everyone comes to our restaurant this week and claims she is a mom and we have to give her $10 off, then we can’t run our business, and we will lose money.” Her follow up explanation was very disappointing because they are not honest by not honoring their promotion. Then I told her if this is for Sunday only, you should specify that in every promotion you circulate. Then she went out to change the words on the blackboard outside by adding “only Sunday”. She came back with a 10% off discount card for us to use next time. I told her that $10 off is not a big thing, but the business integrity is something more concerning. I would like to support the local Asian business, but I don’t appreciate the way she is running the business and how she was responding to me in a rude way. Then she took the 10% off discount away!!! OMG! My daughter and I were shocked! My daughter concluded, well, there are plenty of hotpot restaurants in Tampa, I won’t come back to this one again anyway, so I don’t need her discount card! LOL…

The restaurant is huge. Kevin was exceptional he explained the Hot Pot process. We were all pleased. I recommend coming early otherwise is kind of noisy. But hey I didn't come to speak but eat and it was really good.

We had the pork bone broth and the spicy szechuan broth, both had great flavor. The szechuan wasnt spicey but it was flavorful. The vegetables were fresh. The meats and fish were great as well. Cannot speak on seafood as I'm allergic but if what I had was good then their seafood must be good. Also tried their chicken feet, not sure how eat them but good flavor... I sucked on them but they were a bit tough. Their cook squid was also fabulous. They also had cooked food such such as French fries, chicken wings, egg rolls, But we did not try those Maybe next time. I will definitely be coming here again this will be my new hot pot place. Also cannot forget to mention the customer service, I did have an issue but the management team was on it And their customer service is above and beyond.

My boyfriend and I have been to Hot Pot World twice so far, the first time just us two and then the second time we brought my Father in law and his partner. I came for my birthday a couple days ago and had the most amazing experience! Not only is the food selection, drinks and sauces top notch, the service and atmosphere always is as well! We had a nice big table for the 4 of us and Kerem was very attentive, explaining how everything works for the newcomers, changing out our grill and bringing sauces that we could try. Because it was my birthday, Kerem and the staff were kind enough to sing me Happy Birthday and bring me a DELICIOUS chocolate cupcake. Perfect ending to a great meal! This is the perfect place for an all you can eat, cook your own food type of atmosphere & honestly, our new favorite place to eat. I will be bringing all of my friends and family here with me in the future to try it out.

Very good it has yummy food and it’s very clean.

My bf and I have come here at least 4 times, every time we come we get sat in the same section. We always end up getting Eric who is polite and on top of our drink refills! ( We love him, my bf always says he hopes we get him.) Since it is buffet we can get what we need and cook how we want so we do not need a server constantly at our table which is what I like. I have tried (literally) every single hotpotbbq in the 727 AND 813 area. This is my FAVORITE. Even if it is 15 minutes away, I like it much more than the ones in the USF area. The short rib is the best, amazing flavor and I love the crab legs for my hotpot. My bf says the only thing he does not like is that they do not do "Special meats" which is just bigger pieces of "fancier" meat. Other bbq places do this, but I literally only eat the short rib and bulgogi so I am completely happy. The inside is clean, simple, and new ! Always coming back, only down fall I suppose is the lack of bigger meats for BBQ. Some places have the bigger "Special" meats from the kitchen. I hope they add this to menu !

First time here for AYCE hotpot. Really like the atmosphere, looks clean and nice pop music. Lunch is $19.95. For everything I want to eat in a hotpot is a really deal. Free drink with a post. I wish I live closer to Hotpot World, lol.

An amazing time and food. The service was great and the server even cooked a few of our dishes for us. This is now a permanent restaurant in my repertoire. A great atmosphere to have an amazing time. Exceptional service and great food! The server went above and beyond explaining each broth to my boyfriend & I as it was our first time trying both the hot pot and Korean BBQ. Not only was he great, but there was another woman walking around checking on everything (I assume it was the owner/manager), who went out of her way to bring us sauces to try and offer suggestions on spices/seasonings to add to the broth since it was our first time there. To add, the cleanliness is on point, as well as the pricing. Already making plans to go back! Highly recommend!

The food is quality and staff was amazing. The food is buffet for you to pick and cook at your table which I like since you don't have to wait for it to circle around or you can try a piece of something instead of a whole plate. What through me off is when we went to get selections we were shocked to she the server cooking out food for us at the table. The server stayed the whole time doing the hot plate. I prefer cooking my own it's what makes this type of food an experience.

I feel like Hot Pot World read reviews of all surrounding hot pot restaurants and catered to become one of the best and cleanest hot pots in Tampa. They have only been open for 7 months. It sits on the end of a shopping center plaza and can be spotted easily. Upon arrival, staff greeted and were very friendly. Tables are huge! You’re not crammed up in spaces next to other tables and the booths are spacious! Restaurant and restrooms are very clean. I love that they have cooked foods for those who want to eat some food or have little children that can also eat. Their fried rice was absolutely delish! Yum! Wings have a garlic seasoning and were good. Got the spicy Szechuan broth and it was good, not the best but with extra sauces, it was delish. Their selection is huge and love that it’s self serve. Soda was not canned either like other restaurants so you get free refills! Service was impeccable. I can’t say enough about this place, worth the farther drive out. I would and definitely plan to come back!

Although it's not easy to balance a party of 16 (with 3 toddlers), Hot Pot World still managed to provide my family with a night of fun, enjoyment, and excellent food for all. Our server Kehrem did a remarkable job of serving our huge party by himself (while still providing other tables the same excellent care), and he was incredibly kind, quick, and attentive. From Julie, the wonderful manager, down to the entire staff and the warm atmosphere - by far, HotPot World has the best service I’ve had in a Hot Pot/Korean BBQ restaurant in Tampa. Will gladly return!

This place is incredible. Nikki was possibly the most attentive server I’ve ever had in my life. The food quality is top tier and the prices are lower than some others in the area that aren’t as good. COME TO THIS PLACE!!!

This location was new to us, and was great for a last minute birthday celebration. The food was great for the pricing, and the waitress was very sweet and attentive. The food is not on a conveyor belt nor do they bring it to the table, just FYI.

Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean and smelled good. The staff and greeter Julie was very nice. Our server Kerem was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and awesome. Then we also had tons of seafood: crawfish, snow crab, large selection of different food, dessert and that was really good as well. Great atmosphere with really nice people.

The first time I came to this place with my family, we could smell the typical aroma of mainland Chinese food. The place is very clean, neatly arranged and even the bathroom is kept clean, I hope this place will continue to be maintained like this. The waiter who helped us was very kind and friendly and helped us cook the food and was very helpful for people who had never tried a restaurant like this. The taste of the food and the prices are very tasty and affordable. Overall I really recommend this place for family and friends to visit

Holy Shoot! This fricken place is absolutely incredible. The food quality is absolutely amazing. The service is unbelievable. The servers literally come around and help you with everything and are so helpful. The drink and food prices are very reasonable. I mean this place is perfect!!!!! Yeah eat here seriously and I’m an extremely critical person.

The best hotpot in town, I love to come in here, the table is so spacious, food is fresh and yummy, especially seafood is so good. I have been come in here many many time and their service is always excellent. 100% recommended

First time at this type of restaurant and I cant wait to go back! So many choices and different flavors to try! Many types of red meats and PLENTY of seafood! Also had things for kids like fried chicken, fries and mozz sticks. Loved all the dessert options as well highly recommend the tiramisu for your last bite. Nice customer service, reasonable price, and excellent food! This place is AYCE and they have very fresh ingredients for hot pot. They even have snow crab legs! It is one of the better hot pot places in the market.

Clean and great service. While pricey, it is all you can eat, and for a small up charge you can do both hot pot and Korean BBQ.

Our first experience at a Korean Hot pod BBQ restaurant and it was amazing!!! Our servers were outstanding . They explained everything to us and helped us choose the best ingredients and cook our food. They made us feel súper confortable and happy. The Restauran is super clean and has a very nice environment. We will definitely come back.
