I’m back for the Nth time. It’s so delicious. Every time I go on a business trip, I must come here to show off three bowls. Recommended vegetarian dishes: shredded cabbage. Recommended cold dishes: saliva chicken. Recommended meat dishes: bullfrog. I didn’t order the beef in golden soup this time but I also like it very much!

These dishes look absolutely mouthwatering! You've got some perfectly stir-fried noodles, golden and delicious, mixed with veggies. Then, there’s a bowl of tender pork slices cooked with green peppers, giving that nice balance of savory and spice. Best food in Orlando

I recently dined at Hunan Taste in Orlando, Florida, and it was a delightful experience! I ordered the spicy beef and chicken in chili sauce, and both dishes exceeded my expectations.

The takeout I just ordered was all spilled when I got home. I'm really speechless. The soup was placed at the top of the package. They didn't even wrap it with plastic wrap. No wonder there's no business. I won't mention the taste first. I'm not in the mood to eat it. OK, continued from the book. Boss, you didn’t reply so politely in Xiaohongshu. You gave me a scolding. Why are you so polite on Google? I asked if there was a manager or boss. The clerk didn’t answer very hard. I just gave me a soup. Is it enough to drive 20 miles to get your soup? You are so stubborn, why don't you pay me a car?

Update 7/27/24: Still good. Tried the truffle fried rice this time which was great. Cumin beef and lamb always good. Restaurant full today at lunch but managed well. Update 6/3/23: Much better! Everything we had was good, all traditional Chinese food. Perfect fried rice. Very Chinese place, so bring a Chinese speaker to help with ordering. This is not an American Chinese food restaurant. Don't come here looking for NY style General Tso's... Update 1/23/22: There may be new owners? Menu is deferent and food is saltier this year. Things feel a bit different, but not too different. Can't quite place it. 2020: Great tasting food. Lots of variety. OK service, though servers shift often. Clean restaurant. Family owned. A more affordable alternative to the Chengdu restaurant in town for certain dishes. 9 regular tables + 2 lazy susan tables. Not crowded during weekdays for social distancing. Crowded late on weekends. Sometimes they do weird things like on a cold night, they have no heat and even have the AC on... Also will sometimes sit two tables right next to each other even though half the restaurant is open.

The real deal when it comes to flavor. One of my favorite restaurants of all time. Authentic and delicious food. Very friendly staff.

Absolutely delicious food! Nothing will disappoint your Chinese stomach. The best Hu'nan dishes I have ever had. Stir-fried yellow beef, preserved egg with red pepper, hot fried kidney, omg… I'm drooling even when I am writing this review. Check this place out!

The food is so amazing here! It’s extremely authentic and was THE BEST hunanese food I’ve ever had compared to anywhere else in Florida. Check this place out, it’s worth every bang for your buck. They also deliver food to the table extremely quickly (like within 5 minutes). AMAZING!!!!

It tastes good every time I come

I feel that the Taste of Hunan is the best restaurant in Orlando. The pickled fish is really delicious and tastes almost the same as the ones made in China. The spicy and sour chicken gizzards have always been one of my must-order dishes, such as stir-fried pork, saliva chicken, and thunder. Peppers and eggplants are also very delicious👍👍👍

July 4th update with more photos! This has become a regular stop for us! This restaurant is a hidden gem in West Orlando! Everything is authentic and perfect from appetizers to mains to specialty Hunan cuisine! Don’t miss the “Spicy Pot”, it’s incredible.

We are two hours away from Orlando. Every time we come to Orlando, this restaurant is our first stop. It’s authentic Hunan style and dishes are just fabulous! We wish they could open one in St. Pete!

Me and my wife were looking for some traditional chinese restaurant around the area and found this one. The restaurant offers Hunan province food which is more flavorful and let’s say more spicy. The menu is in chinese and english and the servers are always very helpful assisting in translation or recommendations, without making us feel out of place. We frequently visit this restaurant. We recommend the sautéed eggplant with green beans and any dry pot. Price are very reasonable

Went to Orlando today, and found this restaurant by accident! For a spicy lover, I know the best authentic spicy Chinese food is from “Hunan” and “Sichuan”style! So when me and my friend saw the sign “HuNan Taste”, we’re so exciting and decided to give it a try. All the items we tried were great. I am really looking forward to going back and trying some more. The chicken is incredibly delicious. It's tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, making every bite a delightful experience.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for 3+ years and thought about not writing this review to help keep this our hidden gem, but the public needs to know how great this place is. Food is our love language. We eventually started bringing friends with us here to share this experience with them. They love it so much themselves. Now when we go they always want to bring a new person to share this experience with. The string beans are the best beans I’ve ever had. The fish in hot chili oil with Szechuan peppers is a staple along with the beans every time we come. The servers have grown to know us and let us know when anything new item is added since many of the specials are not in English. The servers have helped us discover the salt and pepper pork ribs, their wings and a crispy chili beef with peanuts which are now in our regular rotation. Out of all the places we have tried in central Florida, this is the one we come to with the most regularity. It’s truly a hidden gem.

So Delicious !!! We live at the Naples area and cant find any Chinese restsurant that beats this one!! Hunan people must visit here;)

I brought my mom and baby to the restaurant and they were so kind. We shared a few different dishes (scallion pancake and chicken in chili sauce) and really enjoyed it. Some of the hunan dishes are spicy but ask if there are mild version. Very authentic, especially when there’s two languages on the menu and the wait staff spoke Cantonese and mandarin (and likely other regional languages). We felt very comfortable here and came back for a second meal.

This place hits it out of the park every single time. We drive 90 mins each way just to enjoy proper Chinese dishes. Unbeatable. Consistently great, never anything but.

Top notch - One of the BEST restaurants in Orlando! The flavor and taste is unmatched. In my opinion, HuNan is the standard that I compare other restaurants to. Whether you order online or go to the restaurant, you will uncover a gem. My first order was an Uber Eats delivery. I knew something was different when opening the lid, I could smell the veggies, the sauce, and the flavor. I haven’t been the same since. If it’s not HuNan, it’s bland food. Try it and taste the difference.

If you don't want to come to a restaurant like this, don't come. I didn't expect that the waiters could chat loudly with guests and friends. Two 50-year-old grannies were acting coquettishly in public. I almost vomited. I didn't expect that 50-year-olds could still be embarrassed. Yinjiafa, are you a Hunan cuisine restaurant or a restaurant with a fever? Let’s eat dry-pot cauliflower and you will find it smells of salt and pepper. How can I not know what it tastes like after eating so much salt and pepper? I asked for the dish to be withdrawn but it was not refunded. Then I didn’t pay. Is it considered a tip if you recruit money yourself? No wonder it deserves a 3.9 rating. I can only describe it in four words: "Unshakable Bilian"

Very authentic Hunan cuisine, which is rare. I have eaten at no less than 20 Hunan restaurants in North America, and this one can be ranked in the top three.

The beef brisket pot and stir-fried yellow beef are very authentic🫰🏻It would be better if you add more celery and stir-fry with the beef

Took my wife to these small unique place that we discovered and I must say it was amazing. The food was so awesome, I had the duck and she and the chicken. And I must say I was blown away by the flavor, I’m a big Chinese foodie so I always been looking for a good place to eat from I think I found it. This is a must try.

i’m no Chinese food connoisseur but according to friends that are, this is the most authentic Chinese food in central Florida! With that being said, everything was DELICIOUS. flavor overload, bright vibrant dishes, just a marvelous experience. Aiming to return with at least 7 others just so we can sit at one of those tables with the spinning center! Get the green beans!! The dandan noodles were my favorite! There was also a dish with some sort of white fish in a fragrant broth….incredible. Never had fish with that texture or flavor before, and sadly don’t remember the name, but it was also delicious! We’ll be back!

The vegetarian dishes without garlic and onion are great! Hopefully, the restaurant will provide more variety of vegetarian dishes. I like the quiet dining environment.

forget about the negative reviews, my group and I, consists of pretty picky chinese food dinner, emptied the plate. writing this review after 2 years still recall how delicous the dishes were, would absolutely visit again, it was great!

Nom nom nom What I went here with my family and we got a couple of items. I got the string bean and eggplant stirfry, this was pretty good. I don’t eat out much but I also do find that Chinese food is overly salty… I could eat bowls of rice with these dishes! Some of the string beans were a bit old… the truffle fried rice was really good, quite fragrant. The dry pot was also decent. We got this at the mild spiciness so it was not as spicy as I imagine dry pots to be. We did the build your own dry pot and the base came with veggies and we added beef brisket, shrimps and fish balls. This dish was good! I think next time I’ll try some of the dry pots combos already listed on the menu. Environment This is in the same plaza as enson supermarket. There is plenty parking available. The inside can be a little small, could fill out pretty quick! I went around 2pm and was able to get seating right away. They had around 3 large tables for large crowds of 8-10. Niceness of the staff Wouldn’t say they were terrible or over the top. Often you find at Chinese restaurants that the service is not great. But this one was okay. Dollar I thought the dry pot for $34 was a little pricey tbh. The build your own has the base for 8ish and then you needed to add 3 items below at 8ish per. The fried rice was $15some and the string beans around $13. 3 of these dishes was easily $60 total. Plus thing is that they accept tap :D Yes? I would. Interested to try some other dishes. But it is a little on the salty side… so maybe not anytime soon

We also ordered the Mapo Tofu and a Whole Fried Bass with Szechuan spices -- all I can say is *WOW!!!!* It tasted like we were back in China -- Flavors of Beijing and Chengdu, with a *hint* of Guilin -- truly *the* most authentic Cantonese flavors we've experienced in the USA. Can't say enough about how much we loved the meal. :-) We are looking forward to ordering their frog dishes next time -- the chef(s?) are amazing here.

This is the best Chinese food I've had in Florida but it feels overpriced. The cauliflower portion was small (maybe half a head) and cost $17, the beef stir fry was also a small portion for the $24 price. Though I enjoyed it, I think it's too expensive. Lunch for 2 was twice as expensive as a comparable restaurant elsewhere and MORE expensive than similar restaurants in NYC. I'll probably come back but I feel like I'll need to save up for it 😆
