Made reservations. A little disappointed Staff friendly however didn't tell us anything about the wines we tasted. Or anything about the winery. We visited Fugishin prior to Huston and were very Impressed with the knowledgeable staff.Numerous wines for tasting and comparison. Great wines . Our out of town guests bought several bottles. We we will definitely go back there. 8$ a tasting.q+

Came here while I was visiting my mother, very nice staff and the wine was fantastic. We can’t forget about the star of the experience, they had the sweetest dog on property! Would definitely come back if I’m in the area!

My wife and I had a great time visiting Huston Vineyards this past Saturday. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable walking us through the different nuances of the wine. We did the wine tasting and bought a bottle to take home. Overall a great experience and would recommend.

What a super fun Diamonds & Denim. The food was fab and the band was rockin! But best was that new sparkling wine and the new released Cab. Wowza!!! Those wine dinners cant be beat at Huston!!!

I was actually looking for one of the other wineries on the Idaho wine trail. Getting frustrated I decided to stop at Huston and am very glad that I did. 10 years ago my family relocated from the Monterey Bay area to Michigan and we have had a very hard time finding wineries that met out tastes of wine. My son invited me along on his road trip to Idaho. I left him there and ventured on to Sutherlin, Oregon to visit family and tour some wineries. My goal was to find not only great tasting wines but also varieties that I have not had and could not buy at a Total Wine store. I found 3 wines in Oregon that I wanted to bring home. I traveled back to Idaho and had a few hours until my travel companion would be ready. I decided to look for wineries. Huston had some amazing wines. The server was awesome - he gave great descriptions of the wines and told a wonderful story about the Chicken Dinner name. I came home with 6 bottles of wine and when in this area will definitely visit again. Thank you for being out there and showing me some new wines! Cheers!!

Always love to stop when I'm in Idaho and have a glass of wine and buy some wine as well. The girls are always so helpful and informative.

Had a great wine tasting today and also bought 4 bottles to take on our journey. I would highly recommend this boutique winery and will look forward to stopping in on our next journey west.

This is a cute and quaint winery, highly recommend their Chicken Dinner White wine. I was so glad I was able to purchase a convenient bag of it to take home with me in my luggage! I highly recommend this winery for a tasting and friendly staff.

Huston Vineyards was the first stop on my 3 day tour of the Sunny Slope Wine Trail in Idaho. Ina welcomed me to their tasting room and provided me with the Wine Passport listing all the local wineries participating in the program. She discussed the uniqueness and character of the AVA and Huston Vineyards place in it as well as the folklore surrounding Chicken Dinner road. Their wines were exceptional and set the standard of what I could expect during my tour. Many thanks to Huston Vineyards and Ina for making a great first impression.

Our very first visit to Huston and what a treat! Tried 2 flights of wine and a couple extras. Enjoyed every one, especially the Malbec and Chicken Dinner white. Jen explained the wines well as she poured; she was extremely friendly and fun! Made some friends, laughed a lot, loved on Movy dawg, didn't want to leave! Thanks Jen and all, looking forward to our return.

What a fun and charming place! Enjoyed the wines, some live music and amazing BBQ the other day! The Malbec was the smoothest I’ve had.

I messed up on an order that was shipping out and I worked with Kristen to get it corrected. She was so helpful and she took time to help me with the order and I appreciate it. It is hard to find someone willing to help you out. We enjoy there wine and we are sharing with our family in another state. Happy Holidays

When I visit a winery, I look for the following things. These attributes dictate how often I return. They are: A wide selection of wines. Artistic effort and technical skills put to use in order to create the finest wines. We see the best winemaker skills implemented in their new (small batch) Reserve red and their excellent Gruner Veltliner. A welcoming environment bolstered by a friendly and knowledgeable team. Huston Vineyards follows this blueprint perfectly. Less being a hermit in the Covid year, I have been a very delighted customer since 2015. I highly recommend a visit to Huston vineyards. Ten stars out of five.

A wonderful place for an afternoon tasting. Driving through on our way home to Texas and decided to try this place. The staff was so welcoming and friendly and the wines were very good! Would definitely recommend!!!

Friendly local winery with decent vino

They were initially overpriced in the early years, but I went back the last 2 years and was pleasantly surprised by the great wine and more reasonable prices. There is a charge for tasting, but most wineries refund that when you purchase a wine or two. Very nice folks. Extremely friendly servers. I love this place! Now I never pass this by. There is something for everybody here. Come taste the passion.

Nice quaint place! Staff so nice. Here on vacay. Owner stopped and chatted for a while. Gave us great tips on the area. Really enjoyed the white wines!

Wine tasting today at Huston Vineyards was divine! Love all the tasting we did I think the cab is my fav! We will be back!!

We called to taste over an hour before they closed. They told us they didn't feel like doing any more tastings. This is one of the only places we haven't tasted at in the area and it is going to stay that way.

Loved coming here! The atmosphere was really warm and cozy. I enjoyed the tasting and talking to the workers. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. By far the best place my husband and I went that day!

Fine wine only topped by wonderful people. Fun location to visit and take advantage of the many activities. Great for holiday gifting.

I love this place! Great wine and great people. The Convergence and Reserve labels are my favorites but it's hard to pass up on tap refills of the Chicken Dinner. They do awesome farm to table dinners too.

Surprised by the size of the winery. Great hosts & Hostesses serving four varieties of their most wines. We purchased a bottle of Margaret's favorite.

They are the nicest people and run a great little family winery. Second time visitors from Southern California and we wish there was a place like this down there. All we have is over priced outsourced grapes they make wine with in Temecula. These are great people, make several wonderful wines, and have the two cutest dogs you'll find. Definitely recommend this winery!

A pleasant break in the day, wine tasting and picking up our wine for the June release. We brought a small lunch that paired nicely with the tastings. The cold shade under the tent canopy and the company of the lazy pups that belong to winery owners made it feel homey. ;)

Tasty wines, great service and wonderful rustic atmosphere! Staff can speak to their wines. No other establishment did that during our trip. This was the third stop on our wine tasting adventure and I was a bit tipsy after my first sip here. They don’t serve any bites but the owner gave us a box of crackers after she heard we have been to a few wineries, free of charge. She just asked that we tip her staff. Done & done! Highly recommend. I loved the 2019 Chicken Dinner Rose.

Lovely place. Great wine. Great views. Super friendly people. Some insects flying around but that’s what happens when your outside. All employees were respectful of personal space and wore gloves. Very responsible during the times of CoVid 19. Wish minors had more to do and possibly juice or something to color. Again it is a great place.

Our favorite of the Snake River AVA wineries. Consistently very good to great wines year to year. They have built a beautiful new production barn, but we will miss the atmosphere of the quaint corrugated steel shed that houses their current tasting room! Visit before they move!

One of my favorite places to unwind and relax. The staff is amazing and I love that the owners still take time to stop and say hi. Take some time and go find out for yourself how amazing it is. And get a growler or two..

My husband, friends and I absolutely LOVE Huston Vineyards! They are my favorite stop on the Sunnyslope wine trail. The wine is fantastic, the winemakers and staff and friendly and knowledgeable, and the tasting room is fun and comfortable. There is nothing better than stopping by, being greeted by name by everyone working, tasting some delicious wine, and then settling in out in the garden area with glass of perfect wine. It’s an added plus if you get to visit the winemakers’ adorable black and yellow labs! I go to Huston every chance I get!

We've been visiting Huston almost since the beginning of their wine journey. We absolutely love the wine, the setting and the people. Idaho wines are maturing and becoming more and more fantastic each year, and Huston has been at the forefront of this growth. For CA chardonnay lovers, you'll love the Reserve Chardonnay.

If you are looking for excellent wine and extremely friendly service visit Hustons. Greg and Mary, wine maker/owners are often onsite and love to meet visitors, discuss wine and just mingle! Their malbac is over the top delicious and you can't beat chicken dinner white for taste and value. Bring a picnic and relax in the shade!!

We loved this winery! The wine was very tasty and the ladies pouring were friendly, knowledgeable and completely unpretentious like too many wineries lol. Plenty of outside tables and chairs to relax in the shade enjoying your wine by the gardens and fruit trees. A completely enjoyable experience! ❤

Wine tasting is one of my favorite hobbies. I am a big fan of Chardonnay , unfortunately it was not ready for tasting . Usually I am not a big fan of Rose until I tried Chicken Dinner Dry Rose.... Wow, It was so refreshing , unique aroma and strong taste which I normally prefer. 🍷🍷🍷

Awesome family run winery with the best Malbec around. All of their wines we sampled were on the dry side. I truly enjoy the wines and atmosphere the Alger family provides. When headed to Idaho wine country, make this one of your stops.

Visited Huston Vineyards for the first time yesterday. Friendly staff and really enjoyed the surprisingly good dry wines.

Thoroughly enjoyed the barrel tasting. Great wine featured and good education. For a great tasting experience make sure you ask for Hailey, she was very helpful and informative.

Fantastic wine tasting. Wines are superb and had a great time enjoying a bottle of wine outside in beautiful November weather. Chicken Dinner and Rose were our favorites.

Family owned and operated vineyard near Caldwell, ID with a nice selection of premium vines. Cute shop and bar in the barn with small items, t-shirts, etc available for purchase. Property and buildings are very clean and tidy. Tables and chairs in shady back yard for a quiet setting where visitors can enjoy a glass or bottle of one their excellent wines.

This is such a fun and beautiful vineyard. If you get lucky and go when they are a little slower they spend a lot of one on one time with you describing the wine and it’s history. My favorite wine is the refreshing chicken dinner white wine. They have a tasting room with a small gift shop. They also have a very pleasant outside area. Last time I went they have a few cute puppies roaming around. What more could you want-wine and puppies?! Everyone who works there is very knowledgeable and attentive. One of the greatest wineries in the treasure valley!

What a cute tasting room. We went on a wine tour. It was our first stop so I wanted to try the others. I am going to go back to this one. My favorite wine and the atmosphere was more intimate and inviting. And who could resist having a Chicken Dinner souvenir. Don't hesitate to ask how the road got it's name.

Not a big wine person and I have to admit the wines they have are a little too dry for my liking. My father-in-law LOVED there stuff though and he's MUCH more of a wine person than me. However, that said. The girl they have working there is AMAZING!!! Not only is she REALLY cute with great personality. But WOW she is VERY smart and knowledgeable about not only the Huston wines, but also about the wineries in the area. She was able to talk about a wide berth of wine subjects with my father-in-law AND she was able to help us find wineries that were open on Monday afternoon. It was REALLY fun experience.

My husband & I stopped by Huston Vineyards for the 1st time yesterday. We were treated so kindly & they had such great wine we bought 5 bottles. Thank you for making our Memorial Day so memorable! We will be back! Pat & Terry

Very nice winery which should be on your list. Good wines... liked the reds over the whites... actually preferred the Melbac over the Cab.

I worked in the Napa Valley in California for five years and never found a wine to match the Huston 2013 Malbec. The Private Reserve Petit Syrah is wonderful and their new Cabernet is terrific. I'm not a white Wine fan, but I would drink the Chicken Dinner White all day. The Merlot is to die for and for an every day wine the Chicken Dinner Red can't be beat anywhere.
