Best place to get Perry's icecream on Chataqua lake!

I was disappointed in the number of flavors this year. In past years, we would go to The Shack to find flavors that weren't available at other ice cream locations. That is not the case this year.

We like visiting ice cream stands , and we enjoy this one. The only reason for the 4 star rather then the five star is the fact that there cone selection could be improved. They have a regular wafer cone and then a sugar cone , but they are about the same size. So if you get a large 3 or 4 scoop cone , good luck. It's gonna be on a very small cone . Your almost forced to pay the extra 25 cents for the cup and spoon. I don't know about you but when I go out to a stand for ice cream getting a cone is part of the experience. I would like to see them add a waffle cone to the menu. Either way it's a nice place to stop and they have a couple picnic tables to sit at with a decent amount of parking space. Enjoy.

I’ve been coming to The Ice Cream Shack since I was young and came from NC to visit my grandma in the summers. She is no longer with us, but I was so glad to see this place is still open on my recent visit with my mom. The best ice cream and memories! Cash only just FYI, and highly recommend!

Very good ice cream with many flavors to choose from. The girl at the window was sweet and served the ice cream quickly. I like this place a lot better than big tree.

We always stop at least once while visiting the area. A small is only 50cents more for that second scoop, so might as well go for it!

My hometown favorite!! I grew up coming here and while I now live a few hours from Lakewood, I can't imagine coming home over the summer and not paying a visit to the shack. They serve Perry's Ice Cream which really hits home with nostalgia for me. The serving sizes are generous and I cannot think of a better place to stop on a warm summer day ❤️
