This place is amazing!! Great food, and you get a lot for your money! We had the shrimp etouffee, green beans, boudin, and boudin balls, and it was all delicious!! The staff is great and the place is clean! They have spotless restrooms, too!!

The reviews are spot on! If you don’t visit this place, you are missing out! Particularly as a trucker. The food is tasty and deliciously different. From the cracklin to the fried ribs, from the unique egg rolls to the pork steak, and many other items that this place offers. Everything has its own unique taste and easily accessible from the Pilot truck stop ! Atmosphere is country and family friendly. Its food is on display and the employees are friendly and expedient to serve the customers. Definitely a place you want to come back to! The cost depends upon the amount you want to buy. Can be expensive if you want to buy EVERYTHING! Lol

Employees apparently scared of a calm service dog. Dog stayed put, never approached any person and stayed by its owner. Lord have mercy. When a stranger approaches an owner of a svc dog. The dog will calmly be alerted. (Hence service dog title and official card) NATURALLY. FOOD AND SERVICE WAS AWESOME, despite unusual and unappreciated circumstance.

A hidden gem in Iowa, LA. Always try to stop on my way through Louisiana. The food is amazing with great selection, the service is quick and the hospitality is fantastic. A must visit!

Get the GREEN BEANS! Best I have ever eaten in my life!!!!!! I had 2 regular boudin balls & a cup of green beans. Shared a small pecan dessert, and I'm full and happy. They have a small sit-down area inside. Similar food to Billy's Boudin in Scott, La. One block north of I10 at the main Iowa exit.

The fried ribs are very addictive along with the boudin balls that are unmatched! The frozen section is also very good. Pricy, but worth it. I almost forgot to mention the chicken cracklins, 10/10!

This place has it all! Cracklins, chicken cracklins, boudin balls, boudin egg rolls, sausage bites, fried ribs, plate lunches with sides, ....... I could go on and on. I've tried the pork steak and it was so huge and flavorful. Probably the best sweet tea I've had in years! If you're from out of town and are thinking about stopping here, do yourself a favor and explore what In-Laws has to offer! We are blessed to have an In-Laws located down the road in Moss Bluff.

I have dreams of this place!! The egg rolls are incredible, the beignet fries are Heavenly, and the pepper jelly, I’d put it on a flip flop and eat it, it’s so good!! The staff is always incredibly sweet too, worth the drive from Houston that’s for sure!!

As a truck driver it’s hard to eat some REALLY good food but in Laws never disappoints my daughter and I. We’ve had the fried ribs, rice, crawfish balls, green beans and cakes OH YEA! Beignet fries also

I pulled my semi into the Loves over here in Iowa Louisiana and discovered that there's a cajun meat shop right across the street! Giddy with anticipation, i entered the cooly air-conditioned restaurant and ordered three items: The bite-sized sausages, original boudin balls, and fried pork chops. The cajun sausages have resistant, slightly-crispy skin like a sausage should have. The smokiness amplified the sausage. I love hearing the sausage snap in my mouth as i chew it. The perfect snack/meal to roll with in your vehicle without making a mess. The boudin balls were perfect. It wasn't oversalted like many other cajun restaurants would make them which is why to me personally, this was the perfect boudin ball. You can taste the cajun goodness from each bite. If you've never tried these before, you need to put it on your priority list because it's a sin not to try this delicacy out. Want to experience the taste of cajun? Try the boudin balls. The fried pork chops were incredible! It's perfectly moist, chewy, and juicy as you bite into it. No sauce needed. Perfect the way it is. Louisiana pork chops at it's finest. The type of pork chop where you eat everything off the bone including the chewy fat between the bones itself. 5 stars all the way. I'm grateful to discover such a place while rolling from Texas to Georgia. I'll be sure to try their pork cracklins next time.

Love, love, LOVE it here!!! Can you say pork paradise?! Pork steaks, pork chops, and pork ribs are all phenomenal! The dirty rice is the best I’ve ever eaten! The crawfish boudin balls?! Chef’s kiss!!! I have yet to eat something here that I don’t like. (Well, I’m not a fan of the green beans but that’s only due to personal preference, not any fault of theirs. They make them sweet; I prefer savory.) I even picked up some of their prepackaged refrigerated items to enjoy at home!

We wanted food from Louisiana. We're from Texas and always pass by on our way to Florida. I'm glad we found this place. We had left overs and brought them home, the whole family enjoyed it. We need to make a trip to Louisiana just for the cracklins and fries!!

I’m 49 years old and this is hands down the best sausage I’ve ever had I’ve got some experience I’ve eaten in places from Florida to Seattle and I’m telling you no one does it better when it comes to sausage than these guys there’s no chance you’ll be disappointed. Go check them out.

Ordered the crawfish boudin ball (bland) 3/10, (beignet fries 10/10 ),shrimp creole plate with green beans and dressing 2/10 (green beans were sweet and dressing was dry and bland), sausage link 2/10 everything went in the trash except the beignet fries $30+ dollars wasted .

We were traveling to New Orleans for the weekend and we were starved. We saw this huge sign on the highway and decided to stop. I saw that the reviews were good. They have a HUGE sign on I-10. What could go wrong??? We stopped just in time to avoid being on the road with the hail storm from hell. That was good. Once we got inside, the line moved quickly. It seemed like they had repeat customers that knew what they wanted. They were mostly grabbing stuff from the freezers to cook at home: ribs, boudin, etc. We didn’t have much time to decide and I felt overwhelmed by the options. I just remember it didn’t feel very appetizing to me once I got to the front. The cashier, bless her heart, was not very helpful. I didn’t know what to order since it all seemed like deep fried foods on the hot steam table and pork. We wanted some veggies but the only veggies were green beans with pork. One of us had a pork allergy. We collected so much stuff that we had to ask her to put some of the fried boudin balls back. It was just a crazy amount of food! We wanted to try what was most popular not just the steam table options but it wasn’t explained very well. At the end of it all we ordered a variety of fried boudin balls, fried fish, fried tenders, fries, fried pork chops, sausage, ribs, and a plate of bbq chicken (which was enormous!) and beans. It all seemed like it was going to settle well but it DIDN’T! It’s been three days and I AM STILL SICK! It’s definitely a food bacteria and it wasn’t just me! All three of us got sick!!!! I wanted to call to let them know if I thought that would make a difference but I just thought I’d put a warning out. Obviously the reviews are great! I’d hate to be the one review that contrasts but something was really wrong with the food that day. Maybe the grease was not heated right or the food was contaminated. I’m not sure but my stomach has not been the same since! We ended up having to throw away the food we took home because the smell had me nauseous!

Fried ribs are worth the purchase

We found this place a while back by accident when stoping for gas at the Loves across the street. The food is great! First time I ever had Boudin Balls!! So of course when we passed again this weekend we made sure to make a pit stop here and grab some food. My favorite so far is the pepper jack Boudin Ball and the regular one. The staff is all friendly & the place is very clean!! I went to the bathroom and this restroom is cleaner than most restaurants I’ve been too!! When the food is good and the place is that clean you can’t go wrong! This will definitely be on my pit stop list anytime I drive thru Louisiana again.

Very nice place to grab some boudin or any type of specialty meats. Nice dining area if you want to sit down and eat. I just tried the regular boudin but will be back to try some other things next time I pass through.

I'm giving 1 star review simply because they know we (truck drivers)come there for the food. They open at 6 am, breakfast sucks, and the actual food doesn't come out till 10:30 am. I'm Hangry. The food is very good though

In a state filled with boudin and cracklin options, In-Laws is one of my favorites. The pork cracklins, fried ribs, and smoked boudin are my favorite, but honestly everything we’ve tried there has been great. It’s right off the interstate and makes for a great place to stop, stretch your legs, and get some amazing food!

You’ve got the Cajun Trifecta! Definitely one of the BEST Cajun restaurants around! Their green beans are to die for! 😂

Big sad that this place is closed on Sundays. Was looking forward to stopping here, every since I saw dispatch had me picking up a load from Laredo heading to the Northeast. Spent three days building excitement just to have it crushed by the "Closed Sundays" s" sign. Then I ate at Arby's next door and found myself wishing the sign would have crushed me instead of my hopes and dreams.

This place is amazing! This has been my go to spot for years when I'm traveling on I-10. The food has never disappointed . Everything is good! I can never decide if I want the fish bites, ribs, pork steak, stuffed chops, sausage bites.... it's all just that damn good! And the sides are awesome too!

Great little spot just outside of Lake Charles, La. Had 2 of the crawfish boudin balls and a small order of their baked beans on the side. Boudin was cooked perfectly with just enough spice. The baked beans were the best I've ever had that didn't come out of my mom's kitchen. 5 stars throughout. Limited seating for dine-in. Has drive-thru. Will definitely be back.

I heard about the fried ribs and had to find this place and stop by. The ribs and sides I tried were amazing. I also got stuffed pork chops from the cooler to cook at home and they were really good. It's definitely worth stopping here!

I rode almost 300 miles round trip from Texas to have lunch. Friendly staff, clean place, and the food was excellent.

Incredible food, awful service… Went here with my friend, and he got some food. Picked up a lot of items I wanted to get, but they wouldn’t let me check out. The worker left the register to go sweep the place while I was waiting to pay for my items for like 5 minutes. They had a lot of people working at the time and nobody was paying any attention to the register. Ended up leaving and not buying anything because of that :( I did however try the items my friend got, and every single thing tasted incredible, and the prices were reasonable as well. Would’ve gladly bought a lot of items here and left a 5 star review if not for the inattentive service. Especially upsetting considering the food and atmosphere was on point!
