Horrible horrible service the staff was rude I and my family had ordered an omelet to go yet we waited almost an hour for that one order! Everything was so unorganized personally wouldn't recommend going.

This location is the closest to where I live, and each time I come here, it's crowded, and the customer service is below average . I totally understand being understaffed, BUT that's not the customers fault. They need a better system at getting customers seated. I visited last weekend with my son, who's 4, it was definitely BUSY. We were waiting to put our names on the list, and a customer bombarded his way in, disregarding the line. I was a party of 2 and he had a party of 5. They were still seated and served before us. The food was small and basic and other tables were complaining as well. The same attendant that was seating guest was also serving our table, and that was below average. Despite everythingshe dodnt earn a tip, the customers give youthe same service you deliver. Again staff wearing multiple hats and they're over worked and can't provide the best customer experience. Get this location more staff and training on customer service.

I gave 1 star for food but we didn't eat there, so technically I can't rate the food. There seemed to be a lot of staff but not interested in taking orders, etc. We finally ordered. After 10+ minutes without the coffee I ordered arriving, we left. No coffee after 10+ minutes? At IHOP? And there weren't many customers. Long wait to be seated - we were the only ones waiting and the dining room was not even half full. Long wait for order. So, we went to another IHOP.

It was 1 am, poor management skills, poor attitude from a primary server, the new guy was all over the place in the wrong way, the guy that popped up to host was rude and ill informed of take out procedures for call ins

Worst ihop experience. Server took forever to come to the table then again took 10+ minutes to bring the drinks. Once we were finally able to order it’s took over 30 minutes to get our food and they didn’t even bring all of it. The coffee was weak and full of grounds. A drink was knocked over and the server looked over and saw that it had spilled and just went back to what she was doing and I had to walk over and ask for something to clean it up with. There were only two other tables. They weren’t busy but the service was as if they were slammed and understaffed. If zero stars was an option that’s what they would get.

1....whoever took order was rude 2......food was burnt ..cold 3.....service was terrible 4....atmosphere too many people waiting and complaining Never will go to Takoma park ihop. They don't deserve the name😡

I almost never complain about service but this was such a bad experience. The waiter never once checked on us, so we spent the whole slow breakfast waiting patiently to flag him down so we could stop sharing our one set of silverware or get syrup or water. It just never happened. We ate dry pancakes and I used a spoon for my whole omelette.

They take a long time to make the food, bad service, it's hard to serve you, I don't recommend it.

ZERO STARS. Waited 20 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant at 36 weeks pregnant. Couldn’t even get a water. This waitress intentionally ignored me. I hope she doesn’t treat everyone this poorly….. what a waist of time. My poor kids are exhausted and upset at the experience..

Don’t waste your time with online order and expect it to be ready at the time specified. The waitress have to beg the chef to make food and he picks and chooses what he wants to make instead of what was ordered first. Never again.

This is ridicules wait time! Its the worst ihop I been. Waited 20 minutes to be seated Waited 10 minutes for waiter to come to are table 20 minutes for 3 drink And 30 minutes to get are food My son waiter 20 minutes standing w a broken legs!!! What it's going on here! Need to get better services After past one hour no to get get even drinks decided to leave. And let the waiter know For the one of the cooker to tell me to go cook at my house! This is irrespecfull Will never come back here.

Had to wait an extra 15 minutes for my food after making mobile order. The food however, was fresh, and always is.

Midnight on a Saturday, place was packed. The staff somehow finds it in themselves to be incredibly pleasant and accommodating. Huge props to this team.

I got the lamest side salad a bowl of lettuce and two slices of tomato. that’s it. and the tiniest bit of ranch in an already small dressing container. lmao a joke and waste of money

This is the worst IHOP I ever visited . They sit me down and nobody came to serve me . Not coffee or water for 10 minutes. I left and went to Denny’s and got good service. I will never go back to IHOP again. They lost my business for good. Btw another lady left in that was sitting in front of me as well. The date 4/6/2024 and the time was around 11:30AM.

It takes forever to pick up carryout at this location, I don't know why it takes forever but next time I'm ordering from Uber Eats so I do not have to wait there so long

I did not receive all my food and items that I asked for, I placed my order March 16. They said they was going to refund me my money. It’s been a whole two weeks… And they still didn’t refunded me my money‼️‼️‼️‼️

My takeout order was not ready when I first arrived, so I sat waiting for ~15 minutes when I checked again to see when my order would be ready only to find my order had been bagged and ready getting cold on a counter top while staff had not notified me it was ready. I ordered 2 eggs over easy and was served 2 eggs barely qualifying as Sunnyside up with clearly undercooked egg whites contaminating the majority of a combo.

This restaurant is the worst in service, I don't want to visit it, the service of the waiters is disgusting, apart from the fact that it took forever to take my order and the place is practically empty, there were only 2 families including mine and the food took a while. about 2 hours apart 1 hour of waiting I arrived at 5 in the afternoon and left around 8 at night terrible service I will never return

The pancakes tasted like they were pre-cooked and warmed up. Had a rubber taste. The eggs were not cooked and i asked for scrambled well. . I'm going to stick with cracker barrel for bkfst

I got the lemon ricotta blue berry pan cakes. There is supposed to be blue berries cooked inside the pancakes as well as a syrup/compote type sauce on top along with the lemon ricotta. The blue berries inside seemed like and after thought you'll see in the picture they are all in the center instead of spread throughout the pancake. The blue sauce was good not too sweet it really only worked if you got the ricotta & sauce on the pancake other wise it was lacking. I had to ask for more of each. The blueberry syrup given was the syrup they used to leave on all the tables which was different tasting and significantly sweeter. It at least wet the pancakes. I used to debate with waitresses the true definition of an over easy egg, they'd insisted the white should be runny... I don't know who wants to eat something that's the consistency of snot, maybe it's just me. I guess there are people that eat raw eggs. So, I finally gave up and started to order over medium and normally got close to a real over easy egg. This time I didn't ask their cooks definition on how they fry their eggs and I truly got over medium eggs. Take that how ever you, please 😆.

Ordered a big steak omelette with no hash browns. There was hash browns stuffed in the back like the cook remembered half way through he wasn’t supposed to add them. I asked for wheat toast instead of pancakes. I received 2 pieces of wheat bread barely toasted. This the second time I’ve been to this ihop and they’ve given me bad service and so-so food. Cmon ihop. Y’all are killing me

Basic IHOP. Service is pretty slow but they check in with you every now in then. It’s very busy

So I use to come here alot with my family went yesterday with my siblings once we got our food our server never came back over waited 20 still nothing I have to go ask for my check and to go boxes mind you it wasn't even busy 😠 Went back today for the first time in a while. The service was great. I got seated right away. The waitress was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately, the strawberries on my French Toast were frozen.

Kinda funny. Google tracking. I sat in front of IHOP for about a 1/2 hour but never went in. Generally, not that impressed with management attitude (from previous visits).

When the ambien wears off ihop’s got you. Bottomless coffee, scrumptious sprite and eggs if you can afford them.

Not sure who cooks in the kitchen, but their scrambled eggs are out of this world! Always a friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. If you show up to eat in, make sure you get to the desk first, there’s always people waiting around to take orders to go.

Place was too tie with the tables and only one server for all area

Well we arrived and were seated in the “back” near the restroom, no windows and were promptly forgotten After 10 mins I reminded them - nothing. After another 10 mins I had to literally raise my voice to get attention. We are of the opinion that it is because we are senior citizens- over 80 and as such should be ignored. The gentleman who took our order was very apologetic and we are now waiting see what happens….. more to follow…

I was so happy that this place allowed this lovely spirit to sit and eat her food, while she was sitting out in the cold homeless. I gave her one of my drinks from 711, ran to Mcdonalds and grabbed her some food, then ran back to 711 for more drinks for her. My nonprofit, My Journey Today Foundation enjoys serving all 50 States of the Union in all capacities if we can make a difference, Ase!

Genet and Kiki have been running the ship there for awhile and have always made a difference in an even more enjoyable experience,much appreciation!

Sunday morning way to crowded waiting food 25 minutes online pick up 25 minutes later than promised

I ordered online, 2 of my items we’re missing. Had to go back to get it. They put bacon on it even though I said no bacon.

Took my granddaughter here to celebrate her 7th birthday. She loves pancakes and milkshakes. The waitress treated her like a princess!

The manager or owner seems to really care. The staff not so much. He had to get on them about selectively not serving tables. I saw my waiter twice and waited a very long time. He also forgot my salsa. A bit disappointed in the service here.

I can’t express enough how great the service was at this IHOP. The customer service was beyond amazing they were so friendly and welcoming. They made it a great experience for us, they talked and joked with the kids which got them in a happy mood. The manager was great as-well very patient and well spoken.

It's almost as if the wait staff are paid to ignore you. (Response to review by IHOP provided link that Google doesn't allow to be copied and pasted as response directs and when typed in browser takes to chat bot that doesn't collect any meaningful responses.) Review based on multiple visits. Analysis of all reviews shows clear drop off after start of COVID pandemic.

We came there as a family and first we walked in we had bad customer service experience. Short lady ( manager from what she mentioned) didn't know how to said hello; food was burn ; water dropping on our table from the roof; nobody checking on us until Mr Patrick ( Other Manager gat there and corrected everything like this guy was so ready and knew what to said and when to said it. All these stars are for his move on us to be honest. The Management and customer service at this location need to be reviewed for training.

I came here on Sunday 7/16/23 at around 1pm. WHY would you hire GREAT servers and waitresses (who are like a beautiful wedding cake) but NOT UPGRADE THE BUILDING (this is like flies on that wedding cake)???? ARE YOU SERIOUS???? ONE BATHROOM STALL FOR OVER 100 PATRONS? ISN'T THAT AGAINST THE LAW??? A door which slams you in the behind because the hinges don't work??? Now THAT is against the law. I came herre to celebrate my grandson's birthday because it was midway. I live in Loudoun County, VA and our Ihop has several stalls...in fact, I've been to over 20 IHOPs in my life and don't remember ever seeing a restroom with only one bathroom stall. I am pretty sure that since you make more money with 4x the customers as our area that YOU CAN AFFORD UPGRADES!!!! And your parking area is AWEFUL TOO!!! Looks like a shadetree mechanics place. GEEZ! If it wasn't for your great servers, you would have gotten a 1 star instead of 2. I am a store evaluator and you should be thankful I was not assigned to this one. I will call your corporate offices about this.
