Relaxing outdoor setting and great beer.!

We enjoyed the three cheese, plus got my beer upgraded to a michelada! Glad it was dog friendly too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here last April while on the islands for our honeymoon. The beer was great, our bartender (sorry, forgot your name) had a great sense of humor and he was a delight to chat with. We really enjoyed the space and sunshine and will definitely be back the next time we're on the island. Keep up the great work, guys.

Beer was skunky and pretty disappointing. Staff was very friendly. I wish I could give a better review based on how awesome the staff was, but the beer was just not very good.

A great local brewery with some very good brews. Nice little menu to grab a bite or bring a lunch and enjoy inside or out. Friendly staff, welcoming environment and a great place for a brew and a break.

Such a cool place! We really enjoyed our time drinking their beer and cider.

Excellent afternoon stop. I had the IPA and ISA and I liked them both. We also had the cheese plate as a snack which was great. Local cheeses, very good, adults and kids devoured. They also have a selection of non-alcoholic including kombuchas. Cute outdoor beer garden.

They said this is the best brewery on orcas island. They also said this is the only brewery on orcas island. A fun place with good beers. No real food other than snacks but for a brewery that’s ok.

No acknowledgement from the bartender while waiting to order. While waiting I had to listen to her four bro friends gossip who were sitting at the bar while she worked. Typical micro brew vibes where bartender has her friends hanging out. Wouldn't go back.

While having lunch in Eastsound I tried their Elwha Rock IPA and found it quite delicious. So I tracked down the taproom. Nice little brewery on Orcas Island with a very nice and welcoming beertender. A little disappointed they didn't have the same IPA on tap and offered it in can. Should have tried another beer but the IPA was so good I went for it again. Definitely hitting this place back up upon return to this remotely beautiful island.

There’s no place more cozy or welcoming!! We are always greeted with a smile and seem to make wonderful acquaintances learning about everyone’s journeys.

Great select of beers. All made onsight. Not a fancy taproom. Just comfortable. Service is great. Not a lot of food options. I was there in the off-season so difficult to sit in the beer garden. It looked really nice, though. My favorite was the Elwha Rock IPA. Not extremely hoppy. Just right.

my selections (IPA and cider) were just OK but my buddies like their selections more than I. Could have have been an off day for the brewer when brewing, idk.

This place is perfect. You can tell the locals love it, and there’s good reason. The bartender was crushing it all evening with a full taproom, plus our wedding party who were all there for a perfectly wonderful rehearsal dinner. The drinks were super tasty and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Cannot recommend enough. This is a gem.

Great spot to hangout and grab a beer if you are visiting Orcas. Their beer is good, staff is friendly and their space is dog friendly.

We keep returning to Orcas Island & Island hopping Brewery ~ Must try Feel the Bern chili beer, is just delicious! And amazing local cheese plate.

This place really surprised me. I wrote in another brewery review that one can't expect much from a small, isolated brewery like this. Demand would allow mediocrity to be acceptable. But the brews were top notch! We ended up making three(?) trips here while on the island, and I tried nearly every offering. It's hard to explain, but the beers had that fresh, homebrew taste to them. Not only would I go back again, I will miss this place now that I've returned home.

This brewery has such heart and was a fantastic stop on our trip! The cutest patio - we took shelter here on a particularly windy day!! Becka made us feel so welcome, was knowledgeable about her beers and even had some great ideas for beer cocktails! Definitely give it a visit! Thanks from your Canadian friends ;)

If you are looking for a good/chill/relaxing place to enjoy a beer/cider/soda, this is a great brewery to visit. Plenty of seating, heating lamps, etc. parking is located on the hill to the right of the brewery incase you miss the sign right when you turn off the main road. Staff was friendly and efficient. Good beers, cider and soda!

Well first of all, they have a brewery on Orcas Island!!!! BOOM, enough said!!! Second of all the beer is good. Not the best beer I've ever had, but good! The outdoor patio is great, socially distanced and the STAFF IS AMAZING!!! Friendly, helpful and awesome! We are staying here for 10 days and we will be back! Beer breakdown: The beer is solid, I really enjoyed the Kolsch, raspberry wheat and the chili pale ale. People were raving about the red, I personally dont like reds, but if you do... give it a go. Overall...come here!!!! It's a brewery on an island for heavens sake!!!!!!! ENOUGH SAID!!!

One of the most chill afternoon flight spots I've found. Very comfortable and friendly.

We had tried the flight, and it was amazing with pretty big glasses to taste. Small sitting area especially when it's raining.

Great beer here, so glad we stopped and visited. The lady working was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and even a regular customer was super nice and helped us turn on the heat at our table! I highly recommend a visit!

A flight for $15 will get you five ounce pours of basically their entire menu. Great variety of distinct flavors. Something for everyone. Their smoked salmon app is fantastic.

Delicious assortment of amazing beers brewed on site and some limited edition that are only sold at brew pub. And on some afternoons you can get amazing food from a food truck in the parking lot by chef Mark.

We tried the flight and enjoyed the beers. Had the crackers and cheese as well as the smoked salmon...yummo. We had a great time and even got their new hoodie and a beer glass. Fun spot.

After a long hike and a round of mini golf, the perfect stop was the IHB. Although the parking was a little confusing, once we arrived at the order window the nice lady was knowledgable about their beers snd friendly. We got the flight which allowed us to try all their beers. All seating is outdoors. We also order the cheese platter and salmon platter which was perfect for the flights. It wasnt crowded so it was nice and relaxing. Overall, worth a trip to experince some local brews.

Enter on the parking lot side, and definitely try the Roktoberfest, which is fantastic! The Wit is also quite tasty.

A good place to visit when exploring everything the island has to offer. The tasting room offers a good variety of brews to sample. Take a mix pack back to your lodging to enjoy as the sun sets.

The best beer i ever had, K-Pod, Kolsch

Fantastic little brewery with evening sunlight, right outside the main part of Eastsound. Their chili blonde is unique (not for everyone but definitely a fantastic twist in my opinion). Old Madrona and the Kolsch are go-tos and excellent choices. The flight is very generous for the price! Definitely some neigh-sayers below whose reviews I wouldn't put too much trust in.

Tasty beers in a laidback, shaded setting. The hefeweizen and kolsch are favourites. Snack menu is simple - cheese plates ($16) are adorned with nothing but a heap of pretzels and crackers - but quite satisfying.

Truly the finest establishment in all of the San Juans. The beer is fantastic. My favorite brew, the red imperial, is unique and delicious. Every other beer ranging from Irish stouts to ipas to pilsners are delicious, and certainly the best among the islands. The bartenders are fantastic. Such kind people that are fun to talk to and get to know. The food is fantastic. Cheap snacks like peanuts and pretzels alongside artisan cheeses from samish Bay that will knock your socks off. Love this place. Go here and be kind and enjoy the fantastic offerings, making sure to show your appreciation for the hard working folks making Orcas Island a rock worth coming to.

Came here for a post-hike beer with our dog. Ordered the pilsner (lots of flavor), the IPA, and the Chili Blonde (earthy with a kick). Chili Blonde was the favorite!

This place has very friendly owners and staff and very good beer! They make one of the best Kölsch style beers I've ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes good beer and finds themselves on Orcas!

Right now they have a great fresh-hopped and Octoberfest on top. And their Elwha IPA and Old Madrona (double red) are always a good choice. Can't beat friendly staff and awesome beer with an island feel.

Beer is good and the server was really great :) Ambiance needs more polish, but I do appreciate the outside seating and respect for social distancing.

A lot of breweries have a plethora of games, I like this, gives the family something to focus on while getting hop-headed. What set this place apart, for me anyway, was an old Japanese Takamine acoustic hanging on the wall, inviting patrons to strum! Oh yeah, good beer too!

Wife loved the raspberry wheat. The IPA I tried was very ok. A little too bitter at 80 IBUs for a 5.1% abv beer in my opinion. The sour pickles were solid. Kind of tough to socially distance due to layout but all of the guests and staff were great about wearing face coverings.

Got 5 growlers in the fridge right now. 2 are the raspberry wheat. I don't like wheats as a rule but I really took to this one. I got 2 of the madrona and I didn't think I'd like it...but I did. And then the chili blonde was great too. Got one of those just for me. All 7 were excellent but the 3 I've named were very worthwhile. Bring your own snacks or have some of theirs which are good. Honestly there are so many places in eastsound to eat why bother with food. Keep doing great beer!

I would expect the bartender to ask a few questions of me when i ordered a flight of beers. I was alone, of petite size, and i ordered a flight when i entered the doors. He did not bother to let me know how many ounces the flight was as is was TWICE THE SIZE of normal flights I've experienced. They give you 7 - 5 ounce glasses of beer!! Too much for this lil single gal! Would've made sense to at least inform me that their flights were twice the size of ther breweries flights! Got charged the full amount by the way even tho i couldn't drink them all.

Deliciius beer. I had their amber which with an ABV % of 8. So good but one was enough for me! They have a great patio where we brought our puppy to chill with us. The staff is great!

This is one of my favorite local hangouts, especially in the off season. This kid and dog friendly brewery doesn't serve food but you can bring your own or buy some peanuts or chips. Great beer and the staff is always fun and happy!

We came across Island Hoppin' brewery during our stay at Orcas. The gal at the bar was soooo friendly and fun (I wish I had caught her name). The beer selection was great and delicious, they had quite the variety. Added bonus, the oeanuts and pretzels available for purchase. Our crew really enjoyed the back section of the brewery which was perfect for games. It was also kid friendly which was popular for familes coming in for a few beers. We will be back next time we are in town!

We were highly satisfied with our visit here. This place had great beer not just because it was the brewery around, it’s great beer that can contend with the likes of breweries in Portland. We enjoyed a tasting flight and not one of the beers were unenjoyable. I particularly liked the collab IPA, while my boyfriend was a fan of other IPA. Our bartender was friendly and fun. The merch here is great as well. This is definitely a ‘must visit’

Very nice to stumble onto a brewery in an out of the way place on Orcas Island. Even better when they have seven of their own beers and all pretty good. I recommend the IPA and the Imperial IPA (Madrona?)

Really great place, they had plenty of board games and activities for while you have a drink as well as quiet corners if a board game isn't for you. We enjoyed the beer options and the ice cream sandwiches were the best I've had.

Tried a few beers here between the four of us, no one complained about them not being tasty. Nice chill little place, good atmosphere and seating/lounge areas—both inside and out.
