Loved this place! Follow them on IG and get 10% off, the blueberry oat smoothie was AMAZING. Got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was absolutely delicious. Wishing I got an açaí bowl when i visited but the smoothies and wraps were amazing.

I’ve been in Corolla for about a week now and have gone to Island Smoothie twice without issue. Earlier this morning, 7/18/24, my 2 best friends were on a run and decided to head here, in appropriate running attire and get a smoothie. The OWNER proceeded to be creepy and take pictures and even zoom in on them. When my one friend noticed his phone in the reflection of the window and said something to him immediately and he continued to ask her to “go into the back” with him. After she refused he was visibly shaken up when he knew he was caught. They called the police and nothing can be done because the officer said “it’s not a crime to take pictures of somebody in public”. therefore, the only way any other person cautious - especially if you allow your teenage girls to go here alone, but I wanted to spread the news about the disgusting owner, his name is Doug Krouss. Hoping this reaches people as an attempt to look out for the young girls who come to Island Smoothie.

The owner of the Corolla location began taking photos of my 16&18 yo daughters as they were waiting for their smoothies to be prepared. My youngest noticed at the last minute and saw her orange shorts in the photo from a distance. She immediately addressed him and demanded he delete the photos He proceeded to tell her to come into the bathroom with him, which she refused and he began shaking uncontrollably. I advised the girls to call the police immediately, which they did. The police were very responsive and professional. I’m hopeful this man will get help for his pedophilic tendencies so future patrons can enjoy this establishment without the same unnecessary worry.

I went here all the time this summer with my best friend and it’s so good the smoothies are so good and the açaí bowls are incredible and another this that makes it so good is the vibe on the inside is so relaxed and beach plus the smoothies came really fast and soon after we ordered

Smoothie was absolutely amazing. Very fresh taste to it. Servers were not the friendliest kind of stand offish but they made my order perfectly!

Staff is incredibly rude. Insults customers while they’re sitting there and makes gross, sexual gestures behind your back. Total shame, do your best to avoid this place and it’s overpriced mediocre food

I have eaten twice at Island Smoothie in Duck. Wonderful experience. Today, I stopped at Island Smoothie in Corolla at 9am. The food was still very good. However, the service and restaurant environment was significantly worse than the Duck location. The staff was not very helpful or friendly and the restaurant seemed crammed and cluttered. I was sorry this was my experience at the Corolla location.

Everyone was so very nice. Took little time to prepare. Smoothies were delicious but our favorite thing was the sausage egg cheese english muffin! The most delicious thing ever! Everyone has to try it!

Just an average smoothie place. We did not try the food and the only reason was it was way too busy in there to even consider it. Space is limited as well as table too space. Felt crammed and rushed.

The smoothies are delicious and fresh. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious as well. Plenty of parking available. Well staffed with friendly helpful people. Hope to visit again.

The smoothies are delicious as are the everything bagel breakfast sandwiches. Staff is quick and friendly so don't worry about how many people are waiting.

Loved it, blueberry mango orange smoothie was great. For gluten free option get the chicken salad, ask for no wrap and instead put on bed of lettuce. Quite tasty.

Guys…come on…3 oz of chicken for $6? Please charge less or add more meat and charge more. Tasty but not worth the $

The Acai bowls were good, but we came in 20 minutes before closing and were given irritated looks by *every* employee there while they prepared and gave us our order. We were out of there before closing time as well. This is not how you treat customers.

I enjoyed a summer sunshine smoothie, and a blueberry bliss smoothie a different day while enjoying the family vacation. They were both wonderful! Definitely recommend.

Don’t recommend ordering online. Took 41 minutes for three smoothies. People kept walking in while I was waiting and getting theirs before me. Bummer! Also, be careful what you order. They add a lot of sugar/artificial stuff to many of them. Also, produce comes in individual plastic bags. Not the freshest and definitely not eco friendly.

Very fresh and delicious it's just the wait was pretty long even though I was the first to order. As well as the price being a little steep for the portion sizes. Though that's more the economy as a whole instead of just this shop

Island Smoothie is our favorite place on OBX. We went everyday in the morning. Fresh, great combinations and the Açaí bowls are delicious. Rob the owner at the Duck location is awesome and all the staff is friendly. With our smoothies and protein snacks in hand , we sadly had to leave back home but we wanted to leave a review—it’s the best place in the Outer Banks!!!

Got two green "power" smoothies. They were good, but not delicious. Maybe not worth the $8.50 per drink price.

Had water with my sandwich. They charged $1.50 for a cup of water! Let me repeat that. THEY CHARGED $1.50 FOR A CUP OF WATER!!! The turkey avocado was good, but I feel ripped off! Oh, and by the way, a credit card surcharge too! Buyer beware! Ask. Update after response from owner: No can do. It was a day trip to the area. We have moved on.

The customer service was great! everyone working was so friendly and welcoming. The place itself was clean and organized and I loved everything about the design of the place. The smoothies and bowls were great the fruit was fresh and the smoothies tasted amazing!! I highly recommend to anyone in the duck area!

Smoothie and Avocado toast VERY good! Definitely going to go here again. Just be prepared if you're the only customer they have, you may get a stare-down as they wait for you to read the giant menu and make your decision....a bit uncomfortable (but that was my only complaint), food is VERY good!

So delicious that we went here twice for breakfast on a two day trip. I absolutely love their watermelon and mint smoothie. I also found their avocado toast with egg to be delicious and filling.

If you love Tropical smoothie cafe or smoothie king this is not the place for you! It wasn't as sweet as I would've liked it BUT it was for sure HEALTHY!!! Great to have before a jog or walk, especially in that heat lol

I ordered 6 smoothies and 2 acai bowls, right around 2pm on a Friday. All were delicious, even drinking/eating them after driving back to our house about 10 minutes away. Workers were very friendly and nice. They were also very accommodating in making an (nut) allergy friendly smoothie. They already had a plan in place for 100% nut free smoothies, including using a special blender. Highly recommend this place. P.S. Sorry no photo is available. Everything was eaten so quickly, there was nothing left for pictures. 👍

I got a blueberry orange mango smoothie and it was delicious! You can taste all of the different flavors! Additionally, the customer service was great. Definitely recommend!

There are lots of smoothie places but few have figured it out like Island Smoothie. They really have an impressive menu, chock full of fresh fruits and delicious combinations. The staff was very friendly and service was relatively fast

This place is the best on the island. They are the standard for Açaí bowls. Quick service by a friendly staff and premium product is their recipe for success. If you are at the Corolla location tell em you want a “Josh bowl”!

I have been coming here the last couple of years since vacationing in The Currituck Club and absolutely look forward to the açaí bowls and smoothies. The staff is friendly and super patient with indecisive customers. There are so many great choices it’s hard to choose. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star rating is that this year I was very disappointed at the açaí bowls. Compared to years past, they were lacking. At $11.99 a pop plus $1 for each extra topping plus tip, I expected more. I remember being able to see the layer of granola over the açaí purée and then a bountiful amount of fruit on top, but not this year. It was just a sprinkle of granola. My açaí bowl was purely just açaí. I gave it a second chance the next day and experienced the same thing. The third day I played it safe and went with a smoothie. What gives this year?

We’ve tried a lot of acai bowl places, and island smoothie is one of the very best! We love their peanut butter jelly bowl with peanut butter mixed into the base. We also appreciate their online ordering platform and how quickly they make the bowls. The owner and the team are super friendly. Amazing place!

Delicious smoothies with fresh ingredients!! The owner was incredibly accommodating! I wanted to bring an açaí bowl to my mom but was worried it would melt on the way back to our beach house. The owner make a box filled with ice to keep it safe en route. It was my mother’s first açaí bowl and she loved it! If you are looking for authentic bowls (like the ones in Hawaii) or amazing smoothies, this is the place to go!! If I lived close by I would be a weekly customer❤️❤️

Place is awesome! I recommend the good morning espresso smoothie for a morning pick me up or island bliss for an afternoon protein kick. Don’t sleep on their açaí bowls and food, really really good! Ya Mon! ✌🏾✌🏾

My daughter has a nut allergy and Rob the owner went way above and beyond to make sure her smoothie was made with no chance of cross contamination. Not to mention the smoothies were awesome!!!! Best customer service experience we have had in OBX!!!!

This was a great stop made on our visit to Corolla. Before we started our day here, we wanted to get a quick bite to eat and found this spot. It’s definitely a destination for the local kids and was busy but their service was outstanding. Our sandwich’s were fresh and the cold brew was on point. I’d recommend people come and have a smoothie or quick bite whether your local or out of town visitor.

Okay their OG avocado toast just rocked my world. Pretty sure I just spent 10 minutes talking about it....it was that good. The tomatoes were so tasty and just everything about it was bomb. If the TOAST was enough to make me post a review, you bet the poke bowls and everything else on that menu has to be incredibly dank. Staff is super friendly and I love the vibe of the place. I can see why they have such high ratings - yall rock. Loved the blueberry almond butter bliss shake...just, yum.

A fantastic spot for a little tropical goodness on your vacation! You can't go wrong with any of their dozens of smoothie varieties! All fresh, all delicious! Visited here on our last day of vacation in Corolla. We enjoyed how they let you walk up outside and order, then the cashier brought our smoothies back out to us. The man working when we went was very friendly and helped me decide on which smoothie to get. I got the Island Smoothie Powerup and my husband got the Strawberry Banana - both yummy smoothies! They were not too icy or chunky. Consistency is important to me when getting a smoothie. We will return next trip!

Our favorite spot for healthy choices and so conveniently located right outside of our neighborhood. The owners are great guys and the ingredients are always so fresh. We’ve had many items off the menu, but the açaí bowls are our absolute favorite! We also really appreciate the ability to order online and pick up outside of the shop during this time. Thank you guys from “Don’t Worry Beach Happy” :)

This place was amazing! My husband and I are big fans of açaí bowls and we have had plenty in different states ranging from NYC to Miami and this one is definitely worth each of its 5 stars. We also ordered smoothies and sandwiches and the kids as well as the adults all enjoyed everything that was ordered! If in the OBX/Corolla area make it a point to pick up some delicious and refreshing food.

I was so excited to see there was a acai Bowl place that opened up! Stopped in to get bowls for my entire family to go and everyone loved them. They were super friendly and even put them on ice for me and carry them to my car. Can't wait to try the poke next! Update: went back for more bowls, including poke. Fish was super fresh and very tasty. We got both regular and spicy bowls. Both very good. Love the one stop shop of healthy yumminess!!! Back again August 2020: still delicious as always. We love ordering online, bring our coolers and enjoying them on the beach! Mmmm!

Amazing staff/owners. Very convenient and efficient. Online orders ready super fast. Felt very safe with the COVID precautions: online ordering and picking up outside in a social distanced line. All of the bowls and smoothies were delicious. We loved it so much, we came here 6 days in a row! We already told the owner that we will definitely be back again next year.

Great cold brew coffee. They provided a variety a flavors (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut). Had the vanilla cold brew and it was delicious.

Really appreciated the precautions in place for COVID (order online then pick up and everyone in masks). Strawberry pineapple smoothies were refreshing but a little bitter. Acai bowls were decent-sized but the acai base had chunks of ice in it which watered down the overall taste.

When we are in OBX this is my go to every morning! Their ingredients are fresh and the shop is SO clean! I love this place so much and it's great for a break from the heavy/unhealthy vacation food.

Awesome place to go, open seasonal, so plan accordingly though. They have a huge selection of smoothies as you would certainly hope haha and a good variety of foods to dine on. A great place to grab a quick bite or drink on the go, the staff was amazing and quick. Truly a place to not pass up

Smoothies taste great and it's an excellent alternative to the abundance of fried food and ice cream in the area. The staff are super friendly as well. Maybe a bit pricey, but well worth it. Makes a good breakfast option.
