My mom ordered a plate from them initially she just wanted a side of oxtails but they said they couldn’t do that she had to get a plate with rice and she said well can I have the cabbage with oxtails instead they also said no. She got rice and oxtails for 27$ they over charged her meal and it was very little food 2 pieces of oxtail and a spoonful of rice. Another gentleman asked for the same thing behind us they loaded his plate so much it barely closed. Unfair and unprofessional here.

Personally real very,very high price! Folks Rice is Not Expensive ""! The other,Jamaicans on,Daughter are Wat better" and Way Cheaper "-) Unfortunately our mall 😑 will eventually will close"!! Likely after the holidays. There's never ever business in there other then holidays "" not much! Owener will not up grade the place! Nor bring it to new model looks as Tampa, Brandon etc malls. Sears,Macy,American re- sale's all have left have left! Big tickets property! I hate to see it go"" 😕 Lakeland mall all it needs is RE-FACE!!!! Ps. You need to hve A WEEKLY DAILY SPECIAL!!!!! REALLY!!! WEEKLY!!!!!! SPECIAL!!! THXS!

I ordered the plate of rice and peas, cabbage, and jerk chicken. The price was super cheap!!! The potion was amazing!!! The food was good, it wasn’t great but let’s be real it’s good food!!! The jerk chicken flavor was a little different, it has a A1 flavor to it but still good! The rice and peas topped with ox tail sauce is great!!! Corn bread was good just not warm… And cabbage was a little undercooked and unseasoned but overall it was good!!! People are polite!!!

Had the oxtails and curry goat was very good and seasoned well. The patties were great as well and the service was so personal. If you go definitely get the juices too.

The servers were extremely nice and friendly. However, the food was not good. The oxtail were tough and did not fall off the bone. It was actually a struggle to get them off the bone and were not tender (the gravy was good though). The cabbage was a little too hard for our liking and flavorless and the rice and peas were also hard. It just seems as if they might cook everything in a rush and not take time for quality food. We wouldn’t try this place again even though they were nice.

The original people are no longer working there since leaving The food here is not properly seasoned/undercooked. Oxtails too much fat! The new workers are arrogant unprofessional & provide smaller portions. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s closed down or there are new owners by the end of the year. I threw my plate in the trash !

I’m in love! I had the oxtail, cabbage, peas and rice. I also had a piece of cornbread that was so delicious and fresh. I will definitely be back with friends in tow!!

I ordered oxtails, rice and peas, and cabbage. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Just moved to Lakeland and wanted to find a good Jamaican spot. Will definitely be back.

The best mall food ever had. Got the Oxtails with yellow rice with gravy on top. Was a little pricy. Worth every penny. If you like genuine cultured food. This is the spot. Always wanted to try it. Was fantastic. The gravy juices 💯mmmm.

Food tastes great and they serve heavy handed. The oxtail was great, the only thing missing was the beans. I guess thats the american way of making it. Over my family and I are satisfied.

The food was prepared just the way it was when I vacationed to Jamaica. The service was nothing short of amazing.

I see a lot of 4 and 5 stars in the reviews and I'm not sure how. For the reviewers this must be the only jerk place they've tried in the area or they're just being nice. The only positive comments I have is the prices are very reasonable and the portions are good. But on the flip side, I sadly have to say this was the worst Jamaican food I've had in the Tampa Bay Area. I got Jerk chicken but it was more like a barbeque-semi jerk flavor. The chicken I received seems to be a bit old. As KL would put it this was "my" experience but I won't be returning.

I'm not local to the area, but if I was, I'd be in trouble because this delicious spot would be a weekly stop! A year or two ago, I visited the mall after visiting the Florida Air Museum. My kids were hungry and I was not excited about buying overpriced, garbage mall food. When I saw Jamaica Delight my spirits picked up a bit and once I tried a few of their samples, I was all in! They have the most delicious brown stew chicken and they were so accommodating when I asked that they absolutely drench my rice in the broth. I was in heaven! My kids love their fried dumplings. They're huge and so delicious! If they haven't just finished cooking them, they will take them back for a quick reheat. I definitely recommend them warm! Just last weekend I stopped back in and I was so happy to see nothing had changed. The service was still amazing with everyone being so friendly and happy to share their amazing food. The brown stew chicken was just as good as the first time and the jerk chicken sample I tried was so yummy I was almost persuaded not to grab my old favorite, haha. Oh, and though only a small side, let me rave about their cabbage for a moment too! Oh, why does my homemade cabbage not even come close!? It's super tasty. The prices are really great, especially for the overall quality. I can only say wonderful things about Jamaica Delight! The only downfall for me, is it being 1.5 hours away. 😅

The staff was super friendly, meal was delicious (with enough leftovers for a second meal), and it was definitely affordable!

It was my first time going to this restaurant and have nothing but amazing feedback had the oxtail with peas and rice and cabbage and a piece of cornbread and let me tell you the oxtail was tender juicy and had good flavor. The peas and rice was fluffy, and also had a good flavor. The cabbage was smoky and spicy and best thing was the huge piece of cornbread buttery and sweet and full of flavor. Definitely will be coming back and the customer service was great.

Came into the mall with a hunger for Gyro. Found this spot and their delicious curry goat, rice and beans, and cabbage. My partner got the chicken curry. Absolutely melts in your mouth.

I have to say I love the oxtail. I have never had it before and was offered a sample and legit danced I was so happy I tried it. My guy side eyed me while I did, but well, I guess he already understands the joy of the food he makes. 😆 I give all stars bc let's be honest, it's a mall. They do what they can to make it enjoyable.

Can't believe we have no pictures of the food but trust me that everything was DELICIOUS 😋. Everyone oooohhed and awwwed until it was all gone. There were no leftovers 😯. We did go into the Lakeland Mall location to place the order and they were awesome with details and communication. We recommend the oxtails and the jerk chicken. Will definitely use them again. 👍🏽

Their oxtail, cabbage salad, rice and red bean, w/plantain combo is delicious..Best cornbread and Jamaican patties.

I give Jamaican Delight a 5+ Star lil restaurant stop located in mall and I absolutely love this place, Amazing food and Service... Listed in photos I share a picture of a small portion of their delicious curry chicken and potatoes at this time of me eating this meal I had been diagnosed with bells palsey... Much better with recovery now but I state that Specifically bc I was unable to chew and eat properly so for those that love Jamaican food as much as I do their food is soft and amazing... So go try it!!

This was the best Jamaican food I have ever had the pleasure of eating and I have literally been to Jamaica and to all islands in the Caribbean with similar cuisine. I cannot rave about this place enough…they deserve to get out of the mall and have their own stand-alone restaurant! Get the oxtail:)

I had the curry chicken and the rice and beans it was so delicious and the portions were huge. Customer service was great, the gentleman working was helpful and offered samples so I could pick what I wanted better. Just awesome all around.

Food is great . Only complaint is everytime I eat there I can’t completely enjoy it because I’m avoiding chocking on thyme stems .
