Pretty restaurant with beautiful employees! The decor, atmosphere, and cleanliness are a pleasant surprise and the food was amazing!!!

The atmosphere is inviting, I love the paintings and decor. The food was precise and spiced evenly. I got the curry and samosas. They also have a huge vegetarian selection. The appetizers took a tad longer than expected, but very delicious

I go here religiously every week. Food is incredible and very consistent. I love the thali (lunch) that's served with a small salad, rice, naan, and 2 mains (chicken, goat, seafood, or veg) and galum jamun for a sweet treat. The staff are incredibly polite and friendly. Great value as well. Highly recommended!

The food was probably one of if not the best I've had in Richmond. We started off with the vegetable samosas and the chicken peppercorn, for dinner we had the butter chicken, and the chef's special chicken which came on a hot skillet like Mexican style fajitas. Everything was fantastically packed with flavor. For the drinks I highly recommend the mango lasi.

I cannot recommend this place more. Delicious cuisine! The roti was fresh and chewy though the ice cream would've been better eaten at the restaurant. The Paneer 65 gets all the stars!! You gotta check this place out.

We asked our server Sarah for a recommendation. We got the lamb vindaloo with garlic naan. It was amazing! Also highly recommend the butter toffee cake for dessert

One of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to, and we’ve eaten Indian food all over the world. We look forward to returning to this restaurant from our home in Alexandria; it’s that good!

Currently eating here now with my family. I would rank them as my top two Indian restaurants I've eaten at. Food is very good (some of my favorite garlic naan I've tried), atmosphere is pleasant and clean. There are quite a few people on staff so nobody waits long even though we ate around 5:30-6 and they seemed busy. If we're ever in the Richmond area again we know where we'll be eating 🙏

The Paneer masala here is so good!! We've had a few dishes (Vindaloo, Butter chicken, Tandoori) and it is all very rich in flavor and texture is so smooth! Love ordering from here and worth the price :)

My favorite Indian restraunt in Glen Alen. They've kept their standard high since they opened. Definitely recommend their goat dishes

It's nice and dim and not too noisy, the food is tasty, and the service is great. They ask you for a lot of the menu items how spicy you want it — going 1 to 5, 5 being the spiciest on offer, and what the servers refer to as "Indian Hot", although in my opinion, it's not really all that spicy. I had the Chicken Masala at Indian Hot level spicy and it wasn't as spicy as I was expecting, so it's not gonna blow your head off if you've got a lower spice tolerance to me. Very delicious though, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and hopefully I will be back again soon.

UPDATE!! Eat here. Please!! If you don’t like spicy food get mild. I love spicy food. The only reason I want mild is to eat everything real fast like a hungry hippo! If you like flavor…EAT HERE!! This my service while waiting for a to-go order. I had every intention of placing the order and going to get gas and come back. However, the welcoming atmosphere of the establishment not to mention the aroma of the kitchen kept me here. This is a Leche drink…get it! They are going to know exactly what you want. I have been wanting to try this place glad I did! I will update when I eat my meal!!

Read the reviews and was hopeful to try some really good Indian food while in town. Went there with my coworker who is Indian. We were both disappointed as the food tasted not fresh, the butter chicken and paneer both lacked spice infusion or good flavor. The naan was good but the rice seemed okd and the entrees just were off. By the time we got back to our hotel, we bith had to run to the bathroom and our stomachs were messed up the rest of the night. I dont recommend this place.

Decided to pick a new place for my birthday and was not disappointed! Everything was amazing. Samosas, Korma, Rogan Josh, Biryani, and Butter Chicken were all great!

My favorite Indian restaurant! I've tried many dishes and all have excellent flavor. Better quality than other Indian restaurants in Richmond and Henrico. The thali lunch is an amazing deal - for $15 it came with salad, naan, rice, tandoori chicken, coconut curry chicken, and rice pudding.

This is a great place to take your friends who like Americanized-Indian food! The quality of food is not bad. The meat quality if good. The quantity could be a bit more generous for the price. They make very mild-moderate spice level to please all. If you prefer authentic Indian food like they serve in Nova or Queens, then this is not the spot! The service quality is excellent. Very clean!

We could not have enjoyed Jannat more. We have never eaten Indian cuisine before. This was an amazing first experience. Sarah helped us understand the dishes and helped us order as first-timers. The entire experience was fantastic. Will be back for sure! We didn't take photos. Sorry, too busy enjoying the food lol

We hired Jannat to cater a corporate luncheon and were beyond pleased with the quality of customer service and the delicious food. Everything was delivered hot and in very generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the veggie samosas and aloo gobi.

Had the baby eggplant korma and appetizer. What makes Indian food great is the sauces. In this case, it’s a bit bland and lacking flavor. The eggplant was good with a soft and together texture. Appetizers were good and nice presentation, and the dipping sauce was right on. Would come back to try again.

Nice sit down restaurant. Service was great. Food was excellent. Some of the best tasting Indian cuisine I've ever had. Chicken Tikka was gooooood! Most entrée's on menu were gluten free and were noted as so. Relative has wheat allergy so we chose this establishment because of the awareness to people with gluten intolerance. I'd go back anytime. YUM!!!!

I ordered Chicken Biryani, potato kulcha, and Punjabi daal for myself to satisfy my pregnancy cravings. Impressed by the food portions and the taste and the quality of the food. Only thing I didn’t like was the taste and texture of onions in the biryani. The Punjabi daal, kulcha and the biryani all had that home cooked taste I like. Even my husband enjoyed sharing the meal with me. I had plenty of leftovers.

Lovely service and decor. But whatever on that - the real review is that the food is wonnnnderfull. The baby eggplant korma and the palak paneer in particular are well above average. No-hesitation recommendation.

Jannat Indian Cuisine was superb. The food was amazing from the first bite. The Palak Paneer and Vegetables Samosas were delicious. I truly appreciate them still taking our order even though they were about to close. I would highly recommended this location. We look forward to coming back again soon. Lastly, the decor is really nice to sit down and have your meal.

One word: Thali! We have been searching for an Indian restaurant that offers thalis and found Jannat. If you’ve never had a thali, it’s a great way to try different foods. The dal and rice pudding were the standouts to me - two dishes I probably wouldn’t order on my own. So happy to have this Indian option in the west end!

We came tired and hungry, and left blissful. Warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for a special night out, but unpretentious. The smell of the food as we walked in told us we were in for a treat. As the food starting coming, it only got better. The vegetable pakora were light and delicious. Butter chicken was delicious, not cloying. Goat biryani was perfectly seasoned, and the raita had just the right amount of salt to complement it. What a treat, we’ll be back.

We’ve eaten at a few Indian places in town, but Jannat has blown everyone out of the water. Today was our first visit and I have no doubt we will be back. The food was seasoned perfectly and very flavorful. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and also prepared to offer suggestions when asked. Very impressed with tonight’s experience and I’m already sad it’s over

The food was okay. Decent portion sizes and had good flavor. Unfortunately, it was cold by the time of delivery and my Veg. Pakora was overcooked (very brown and had a burnt taste to it. May need to change the oil). If you're ordering the entrees online, it comes with rice. That wasn't mentioned on Grubhub. I called to verify and the person that answered, was nice. Based on the reviews, I expected a lot more...maybe next time.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! I have not had Indian food this delicious or fresh since I was in India. With all of the Indian restaurants I have visited here in the US, or even at my own home, I have not had it this good in ages. The paan was as fresh as you get it back in India. Bahut pyaar yeh ghar ki khana.

Even with a table of 10 the staff had no problem! Service was great and the staff were so nice and fun! The food is fantastic! Some of the dishes ordered include, Kachumber Salad, Lasuni Gobi, Aloo Kulcha, Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken, Chef Special - Indian style, Chicken Tandoori, Mango Chicken Curry, Coconut Chicken Curry, and Vindaloo Chicken Curry. I would recommend all of these and We are excited to come back and try more! I wish we took some photos of the food to show but everyone was too focused on the great time and great food we were having with friends which is what you want out of a great restaurant experience!

Very pleasant restaurant with great staff and incredible food! Thought I would try a new Indian restaurant today and I am so glad I stopped in to Jannat. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had, from the mango lassi, to the vegetable samosas, chicken korma and garlic naan. The waiter suggested the white cheese dessert, which I had never had and probably would not have selected on my own. Truly a great experience and will definitely be coming back. Portions are generous enough that I am bringing more than half of my chicken korma and naan home for dinner! Highly recommended!!!

We’ve ordered take out from Jannat twice and we love it. Butter chicken, 5/5. The Dal Makhani and Tadka Dal are great vegetarian options - just be aware that the spice level is high. There’s always enough for lunch the next day as well. I can understand why this wonderful restaurant was recommended to me!

We eat a lot of Indian food, and this may be one of the best ones in Richmond that we have been to. The service was extremely fast and friendly, the portion sizes were generous, the dining room was clean and well decorated, and the food was seasoned well and was very good. The garlic naan was soooo good. We had the lamb curry and biryani. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was prompt, friendly and respectful of private conversation. The atmosphere was authentic and private and the parking was plentiful without any wait for a table for 2 at lunch time. We had the chicken Biryani and tofu Karahi at spice level 2 of 5, which was perfect kick without being too spicy (my daughter would probably have preferred level 3 as she's more used to spicy food). This was our second visit and the food & service is most definitely worth coming back for.
