$32 for 2 cheesesteaks and we were not impressed. Cold, soggy rolls, hard cheese on the one and barely any whiz in the other. The wife took 2 bites and refused to eat the rest. I typically don’t leave bad food reviews unless I really have a reason to, but I’m sorry, you can’t call yourself a cheesesteak shop and put out steaks like this. This is Philly (Philly area) after all. Steaks are a dime a dozen and there’s a lot of competition, so if you’re gonna specialize in steaks, they better be good. I’ve gotten far better steaks from a pizza shop and that’s saying something. First and last time I ever go here.

I think putting a cheesesteak on a roll made of pretzel is blasphemy. Mustard goes on pretzels, cheesesteak goes on normal roll.

Quick stop eatery - should be reviewed by Guy Fieri (DDD fame) for its legendary pretzel roll and the variety of sandwiches. Awesome! I enjoy cheddar pretzel roll chicken cheese steaks with provolone. I recently had buffalo dip sandwich- not to be missed. You want plain roll-Order baguette- you may have enough for tomorrow if you don’t get tempted later to eat it!

I always eat here and the blonde girl is always outstanding kind and patient along with the girl with darker hair! I came here a few weeks ago and a young man served me I can’t say the same for him he rolled his eyes at me multiple times and made it very obvious he didn’t wanna be there I find it very hard to find good customer service nowadays and the girls always do an outstanding job yet the young man definitely not the same it doesn’t feel as welcoming with him serving people.

Was really hoping this place would live up to its stellar and ridiculously consistent reviews, so my group and I stopped by for an early dinner on Juneteenth. Four ribeye cheesteaks, an order of cheesesteak fries, another order of regular cheese fries, and three shakes later, we found ourselves comparing the bland, tasteless cheesteaks to ones we could've gotten at a casino foodcourt. We're not sure why they refused to season any of the meat. Were we supposed to tell them how to when we ordered? The cheese that was heaped onto the cheese fries tasted old and suspiciously tangy. And with the cheesesteaks themselves failing to make an impact on our taste buds, you better believe the cheesesteak fries lived up...to our now much lowered expectations. At least there's some consistency there. Shakes were decent. Nothing bad to say about those. Service was decent and the set up for dining in (outdoors) was sufficiently adequate. I'm hoping this was an atypical experience as we saw that the place was due to close from 6/21 to 7/5 for repairs. If that's code for "we need to train a new cook", we wholeheartedly agree and understand.

Service is great but food is pretty average, and sometimes lower than average, I've tried different cheese steaks from there within the span of a few months, all with different toppings, pretzels, French onion dip, and a bunch more, and none really wowed me, they were always either dry or the bread was too hard, so the bad experience was consistent enough for me to not go there again. Best of luck.

We hired Jay's Food Truck for a private graduation party recently. Right from the start, we were simply blown away by their attention to detail. We had a few guests with Celiac disease in attendance, and Jay personally made the gluten-free sandwiches first and stored them in a warmer to avoid any possible contamination. Everyone raved about the food. Jay and his wife could not have been any nicer, and they truly deserve to be supported for their attention to detail and for their dedication to food safety practices. We plan to visit their permanent location in the near future. They are truly wonderful people.

Man...this place is great! Nestled in Parkland PA, it's worth the drive up the hill to this quaint little town. Obviously you need to try the Chz/Stk on a pretzel roll...but don't be afraid to go for a burger or hoagie. The homemade chips are out of this world as well. I don't do the gluten free stuff...but having that on the menu is a game changer for those that need or want it. Parking can get a bit tight (especially on the weekend) so plan on maybe parking up a side street if need be (it's not a big deal at all). Outside dining is also a nice option. I found myself driving around this little town after pickup more than once. There is a little Church right down the street from the "Joint" and a few Victorian era houses near by. The public park right up the street is super clean as well ( my kids love the ride there and picnic at the park). Strange place for a steak spot...but that's what makes it for me.

I have no problem paying $17+ dollars for a cheesesteak. This one unfortunately isn’t worth it. Owner seems nice and all but the quality of the food just isnt there, even though he thinks it is. Sorry to say. This place gets a lot of hype because of the gluten free thing they do. Just look at the pics of a real steak place and here. Skimpy on the cheese, frozen steak um meat. Won’t waste my time here again. Even have tried their “dip” sandwiches. Pretty gross to have to slather cream cheese on a cheesesteak.

4/7/24 Edit: Prices of most items were raised by 2 dollars. Extremely disappointed. This vs a deli for hoagies, the l deli wins at the new price range. Cheese steaks were good but not 15-17 with Cooper Sharp. Standard steaks dont have enough cheese. Shame this place was close and my go-to. Sadly not sure anymore. Food - The best Italian Hoagie Ive ever had outside of a small local deli, but delivers and better hours so Win Win there. Cheese Steaks are amazing. Hoagies are absolutely PACKED with meat, and every time the Lettuce, Tom and Onion are fresh and well seasoned. Customer Service - 10/10 he ran out of Pepperoni for the Fat Italian, called, let me know, and hooked me up with more of the other meats. Excellent service and his passion for this truly shows. If you like Italian hoagies, cheese steaks, or wings you gotta try this place.

I absolutely love Jay’s! They go out of their way to ensure that celiacs and gluten free folks can enjoy cheesesteak and other great foods. They have a dedicated kitchen for gluten free food prep, gluten free pretzel rolls, gluten free fries, gluten free ice cream, and more! They even offer catering of gluten-free platters. Plus they have a kitchen for “regular” (gluten-filled) foods, which I’ve heard are also very good. I only wish their food truck was able to offer gluten-free options as well. Visit them at their main location in Langhorne, which has a small parking lot (but there is almost always a spot nearby), and there is a wheelchair ramp, as well as covered outdoor seating. Follow them on social for all the latest deals and deets. Pro-tip: order ahead online or by phone.

They cook all of the gf food in a separate fryer. We love the gf chicken fingers too. Since all of the gf food has to go through a single cook, it's best to order that before hand because it might take a few extra minutes during busy times. Jay also gives back to the community with donations towards heating oil for those in need during Christmas times. It's an order up window only but there is an outside covered area where you can eat. They also have gf ice cream sandwiches and cakes. It's so nice to have a place that offers delicious fast food that is safe for all members of the family! Thanks so much Jay for everything you do!

After spending a long weekend in Bucks County, we wanted to treat ourselves to a cheesesteak before heading back to Lancaster. Did some quick research on Google and Facebook and found a handful of places within a short drive of where we were staying. We opted to try Jay's, and we are SO glad that we did! As soon as we pulled up, the intoxicating aroma of cheesesteak was prevalent in the crispy afternoon air. The options were plentiful, but we were fixated on the South Philly Philly Cheesesteak (Whiz wit Onions) on his famous pretzel roll. Yes, a pretzel roll! I know tradionalists would probably frown up the roll choice, but it paired amazingly well with the Whiz and meat! Ordering was easy, the service was friendly, and the food was delivered fast (we also got the Smart Italian, which itself was good, but paled in comparison to the South Philly Philly). Keep on killing it, Jay and team!

Pulled pork fries were absolutely amazing and I couldn't ask for better, chicken tenders were good but have a very strong pepper flavor and did not come with any dipping sauce, and the Philly cheese steak was great quality meat I just found it to be bland as there is no sauce/peppers/onion etc. If I find myself back in PA I will be back but I will definitely be making sure to add some sauce or try something with more flavor on the menu!

Jay's is great. It's your standard suburb steak shop in terms of ingredients used (very similar to The Works). But Jay's has a ton of unique menu items, including a bunch of sandwiches on pretzel rolls and a full gluten free menu. The food is always good. Location is brutal. It's smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood. And to make it worse, it's a neighborhood surrounded on 3 sides by Neshaminy Creek. Great for the people living in the neighborhood. Not so great for anyone living outside the neighborhood. It's only a 10-15min drive for me though, so I make it over there from time to time. They seriously would do so much better in a shopping center though. They're already busy, so they would clean house in a place that's more accessible.

Took my son n husband there for Fathers day , enjoyed eating outside cuz my granddaughter loves to run around. Will definitely go back Unfortunately my daughter couldn't eat there were no veggie options. Like putting lettuce n tomato on hoagie roll isn't considered veggie option

This is a good place. I always get the turkey club wrap or the frilled chicken salad. They have gluten-free options, and their sandwiches are really good, also according to everyone. it's often busy there; they handle the orders very efficiently, and food is always ready on time and hot. It is handicap accessible. There is a small parking lot, but people are not parked there very long because most of them are just picking up food. There are some outdoor tables if you would like to eat there. 😋

I hate to give a bad review to this restaurant because it's one of the few places I can GF that i can depend on. However the pricing is getting a bit outrageous in relation to the amount of food you get. For $17 I would expect a sandwich that is substantial, however, I think you get more meat on a wawa hoagie. It's $6.50 upcharge for the gluten free roll which is starting to feel like being taken advantage of. I hope they can either increase the size of the product or reduce the upcharge.

I ate here for the first time today. I woke up craving a hoagie AND a cheesesteak (pregnancy craving) but I have a gluten allergy. So I went online and I found this gem. The look of the place is old school and it’s refreshing looking I loved it right away. I ordered my food from a nice young man. He has a shaven head I don’t remember the name but he was very professional and kind to me. I got my order and let me just say it was AMAZING. I will return again and again. I have had no side effects so this was truly gluten free. New fave spot I highly recommend to my fellow celiacs and pregnant ladies. Go satisfy your craving.

I had not had a cheesesteak yet and needed to get one before I left Philly. I found Jay's on the route to the airport. There aren't many parking spots, but it was raining, so I had no issues. You go up and order, then wait. It was raining and chilly so he told me I could wait in the car and ge'd bring it to me. What service! I prefer a steak and cheese made with provolone, so I got Jay's favorite. It was delicious, and I loved the kick the hot pepper relish gave it. Be ready to eat! The roll size is 12", and that's the smallest. They do have outisde seating under a carport. I would have sat outside, but it was a little too chilly for me. I was very satisfied and happy to have found them along my route!
