This was the first time going to the Pond House with my wife. The staff were very friendly and our server Chelsea was AWESOME. The atmosphere was great and the food was FANTASTIC! I ordered the fried catfish filet with fries and cheese grits. My wife had the ribeye with a salad and sweet potato. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends. We look forward to going back in the near future.

There for our 52nd anniversary. Great dinner.

We were down here camping at Seminole State Park in Georgia. Passed the sign on the way in. We try to go out one night to eat. This place was out of this world good!!! Nothing was bad. Had fried bone in catfish and catfish filets. Fried pickles. It was absolutely GREAT!!! Lauran, our server, was top shelf!!! Will definitely be making the 5 hour trip back down here. As Seminole State Park is very nice also.

Great meal. Several people there for a Thursday night but there was not any wait time. We did arrive early around 5:15. We had pork chop meal and the grilled chicken meal. Everything was delicious and lots of leftovers so I won't have to cook tomorrow night.

This place is out of this world good. I had the smoked pork chop/fried catfish combo. It was outstanding! Biggest pork chop I have ever seen. Cooked to perfection, and the catfish was exceptional! Top it off with blackberry cobler. Yum! Service was spot on. This place is out in the boonies, but well worth the drive!

We waited over an hour and we beat the crowd if that tells u anything. The place was super tight and cramped everyone is watching u, no privacy what so ever, very dim lit. Only ever had one waitress check on us. They said we were only allowed 2 rolls yet we spent over 50$ a plate. My husband got the steak and asked for steak sauce that never came and being as though only one waitress was assigned to us she never came back to ask of we needed anything, he ended up just taking it togo. I was super disappointed in the size of the grilled shrimp they were no bigger than my thumb so I didn't get full and spent WAY more than I should have. No music, no entertainment, just a big room full of too many people with small portions of okay overpriced food.

Friends took us to Pond House Restaurant. They sat us at a big table at one end. Other people sat at the other end. They were not with us. But when we went to pay they already had tip put on it because said group. We had to explain we wasn't with that group we were just at that table. Our food was great and waitress was great too.

Unbelievable!!!! From the quaint log cabin off a dirt road comes the most amazing food. And their portions are huge!!! Best smoked porkchop I've ever had (better than mine own)!!! You simply MUST TRY IT!!! At least once! YUMMMMMM😋

First time at this wonderful logcabin resteraunt on a dirt road. Friendly staff, clean, smelled great. Had three meals with our family, steak, shrimp, and a burger. All three were outstanding. Blackberry Cobbler was awesome. We traveled from Liberty County for this reateraunt, and it was worth it. Highly recommend.

I hadn’t been to the Pond House in years. Some friends of ours asked us to join them for dinner. Our friends had the smoked pork chops, and they looked awesome. My wife had the grilled grouper, said it was the best she had ever had. I had the fried oysters and they were good. Going to the Pond House should be planned as relaxing evening. It’s not close to anything but the food makes the journey worthwhile.

Sooooo, it had been over 5 years since my wife and I had been to Pond House. Not because we didn't like the idea of going. We just didn't like the idea of feeding all the kiddos, too. Ha! This was one of those times we got a hankerin' fir steak-n-taters of the highest quantity around and didn't have to include our teens. We knew it would be on the scale of "slap yo mamma" good with the valuation to go with it. They've always been able to please the pallet, and they did not disappoint this time either. Do yourself and a loved one a favor, take them to Pond House.

This restaurant has been here for years. The food always been great and the service is top notch. You may have to wait around 15 minutes or so on most nights but it’s well worth it.

Outstanding!!! I really enjoyed the waiters , environment the foods were incredible delicious. Fantastic jobs the staff especially the chef ! I must add this comment two months later . I warmed my leftover steak the next day oh my god it was delicious .Very cozy romantic atmosphere . Plenty of parking. Everything was great, can’t wait to return. Maybe I’ll order a steak dinner to go . So I’ll have leftovers and a full meal as well 😇

Thus is a hidden gem. We arrived early, and I'm glad we did. This is a very popular and busy place. We tried the steak, pork chops, shrimp, and appetizers. We got so much food we had to take some home. The key lime desert is amazing. There were folks waiting to get in when we left, They were playing corn hole on the front lawn. Enjoy!

oct 7, '23 our fifth visit to the pond- and our last. the ribeye was worst piece of meat i've ever been served. hard to chew, lots of fat. ordered medium and was served rare. wife had the grouper. worst fish we've ever had. tough meat. tasted more like cat or mullet. must have been out on kitchen counter for awhile. lacey did a great job keeping up with our group. management did remove mystery fish from the bill- thank you. pond management: get your cook(s) squared away. lots of customers but you can't rush the kitchen! anybody in kitchen doing quality control???

The Pond House Never Disappoints. The food was delicious. Each plate is big enough for 2 meals. The atmosphere is charming, and the service was excellent. Thank you Tina. 😊

I couldn't believe that we'd find, quite possibly, the best restaurant around at the end of an old dirt road in the middle of nowhere in Bainbridge Georgia. The Pond House is worth the drive to try their amazing pork chops! You will NOT be disappointed! Trust me!

SO LETS TALK ABOUT THE POND HOUSE, THIS FOOD IS AMAZING, WHEN PEOPLE ARE OK WITH A 2 HOUR WAIT TO GET SEATED, OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND YOU DRIVE AN HOUR TO GET THERE... ITS THAT GOOD AND THEN SOME

1st visit, Definitely worth the drive over from Dothan. From walking in, to drinks, to getting our order, appetizer, salads and meal, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Only thing wrong, Im sorry I didn't get my hostesses name, because she was part of what made our visit so good. Will definitely make the trip again. And your menu is misprinted or the cook is blind..lol, because 16to20 Oz rib eye is a gross understatement. Best ribeye I've ever had at a restaurant. Thanks for a great night out.

So, I was only slightly disappointed in service. But where our waitress had her hands full, others definitely stepped up. You will not be disappointed in waiting to eat.

Aged ribeye was very chewy and tough. Also ordered medium and came rare. Also tip money went missing off the table, and not the first time that has happened

It's a small house. Go early and if you dont, you can expect a wait. I have traveled in many places around the world and many cruises. The Filet here in its' au jus is better!! Everything was perfect! I hear from locals that there's nothing that isn't excellent. I had the Filet Mignon, which was a good size and done perfectly. I literally savored everything. Side dishes were very good I had a piece of homemade light angel food type layered Key Lime cake/pie. It had no bitter after taste,(which can be common with Key Lime) and was excellent. The Cobbler is warm and yummy. I'll be trying that next. Wine and beer options.... Price is expected for the quality and quantity of food. My new favorite place and very very worth the drive.

My husband brought me here for a date night. The food was unbelievably Awesome!!! It is well worth the drive for Tallahassee. I can’t wait to go back!

Steak is excellent but the seafood platter is lackluster and bland service depends on who's waiting on you But still the steak is great

Today was my first time eating here, the service was great and the food was amazing.

For an unsuspecting log cabin out in the country, I was shocked when this was the best filet mignon I've ever had. It was so soft and it cut like butter super easily. The salad and baked potato was just as good as any other steakhouse, with gold southern sweet tea. We drove from Tallahassee with family, and it was definitely worth it. And very reasonably priced for a filet mignon, especially compared to the "fine-dining" options in Tally.

Went on a Friday night. Didn't have to wait long to be seated. The food and service were both great. I had the seafood platter. The catfish was incredibly delicious! Next time, I'll just get catfish.

Pork chop was tender, but extremely salty. Must've been brined too long.

The pork chop was huge, yet not dry and had a great flavor! The restaurant was clean. Great atmosphere. The server was great. The food took a little longer to be ready than normal, but well worth the wait.

With all the local hype, I was expecting more. This review is based on other resteraunt which prices the same and are considered resteraunts with ambience and finer foods. I can not rate this as I do for a dinner. 1st. It judged on appearance and service, this would be a 5 star. This small cottage in the Florida outback of Lake Seminole was adorable. It looks more like a rustic lodge inside. It was a bit noisy, but this was, I believe just a group of 4 where the middle age men were trying self promote their lives and jobs... loud and annoying. Even other tables were looking and shaking heads. Thus the wood wall were kind if a amplifier considering they were placed in the corner. But I degrees, I did not subtract ant stars for this. Service was friendly and I noted nit just my waitress, but all appeared courteous and attentive. 4½☆ for Location and Service. It's a bit inexpensive but not overly priced, at least on seafood side with dishes around $18 and Plater around $26. Steak and Beef plates were all priced around $37. I DID NOT EAT BEEF so can not rate these dishes. Saying that, sides were all the same: potatoes, baked potatoes, french fried potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans with bacon, slaw and grits.. salad(?). Fried pickles as appetizer .. they tasted great though all had holes in middle. I took this as cheap pickles used, but they were still very good. Seafood was a hit and miss. Sine items like shrimp were perfectly cooked but was chewed. Oysters were perfect. Fish, was good and cook average for this area. Crab cake was almost black ftom overlooking as was hush puppies. Scallops were also chewy to the point, wife put them on my plate as she does with anything tgat is bad. Speaking of this, I also got her Cole slaw and Grits. This did not matter since I could not eat these either. Hush Puppies, most of Scollops and crab cake also went untouched. Cole Slaw problems seemed tp be at forsy they had not put any dressing on the cut cabbage. We actually sent it back. Waitress returned and said it had to be stirred since all dressing was on bottom. An examination configured that it had sat so long the dressing settled along with water from the cabbage leaving a watery whitish dressing in bottom. It spooned like water and looked like water with a bit if milk in consistency. Unless you spooned this water fluid with the slaw, you could not taste it. I'm not sure if it was bad or cheap dressing, or if was made a few days before and left in refrigerator and allowed to settle and cabbage to leach out water? Grits were a disgrace considering this was Bainbridge Georgia. I have never been served a more watered down runny bowl of grits in the South. Period! Overall. It's a place that will impress those who have little more than fast food, dinners, BBQ resteraunt and pubs. Seafood was exceptable in at a fair local price. Though I prefer a couple of seafood resterants near Eastpoint, this establishment is closer and about same price, though not as consists with cooking or quality. I can not comment on beef, however with sides, it would have to be exception at the prices I noted... perhaps or perhaps not? My taste for beef in my old age and in this area is fine with the Bainbridge Buffet (not naming but located near okld mall) that serves unlimited un-trimmed Prine Rib in Saturdays. At half the price and probably 30-40 sides... I will gladly trim the cut on my plate. But have to admit, this building and service is better! From combined experience of both myself and wife, trying to be as honest as possible.. This is an Average, Small Town, Resteraunt with a better than average special meal ambience snd good service. Expect a small charge for using a Card (that was unexpected, even fast food establishments simply apply this to their menu prices. ) So Overall = 3.5☆ but that extra charge did keep me from rounding up.

A casual restaurant that offered just what we wanted- an excellent steak, as well as a seafood platter, each prepared to perfection. 💯 Food could not have been tastier. Our waitress was very attentive. Superb service with friendly staff! We will return! Check it out if you're hungry.

Great Ribeyes. Most restaurants can't cook a spectacular steak anymore, but Pond House can. Worth the drive from Tallahassee.

Dinner was fantastic!! The steak was served as ordered and did not disappoint. The whole restaurant is on the small side but still accommodated our large crowd. Nice homey atmosphere.

We went out as a small group. This was a first time for all of us. I thought the setting was really great. The building is this rustic old cabin on a lush green field. We were seated right away on a Friday evening. The staff was friendly and reasonably attentive. The app we had was huge. Salads were ...small but nice in presentation and the dressing was decent quality. Sides were ok. I had the smoked chops, my wife had the crab cakes and the other couple with us both had fried seafood. My chops were pretty good and the Red Eye sauce was good. The seafood was your typical breaded, deep fried seafood. The shrimp were a decent size and you got a decent amount for the money. Crab cakes were a nice size - a little "fishy" and our group thought they were a little over cooked. For a small town restaurant, this place is definitely above the bar. Prices are decent enough that you can go on the regular yet it is a unique enough place that this can be a special occasions kind of place. This is a restaurant I would go to again and bring guests from out of town to.

The food was good, but they don't tell you they ADD 3% to your credit card!! It may be a long time before we go back. No one I know carries around $125.00 cash.

Such a busy and popular restaurant. And once you taste the first bite of your food you understand why. I got the infamous pork chops and they were amazing. My mom and husband were both stealing bites from my plate even though their steak and seafood were wonderful as well. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely eat there.

4 of us dined at your restaurant tonight . After not eating for two and half months due to covid, it was a wonderful experience. Rebecca was our waitress and took such great care of us. Food was delicious.

This was an amazing find! The ambiance is laid back, relaxing, come as you are. But the food and service is five star. Don't be afraid to venture down this dirt road a little ways. You will be glad you did.

Great place for Dinner. Nice people, nice atmosphere. Steaks have a bit to much Dale's or Worchesire sauce on them.

Was amazing. The food was more than one person could eat and cooked to perfection. I had the catfish filets and they were the most flakeiest I have ever eaten. The Cole slaw reminded me of my granny. Service was a little lax, but they were packed.

Known locally for good steaks and amazing smoked pork chops, we also love it for their shrimp and one of the nicest, most hilarious waitresses we know, Ms Tina. The salad is a bit weak, but the menu is otherwise great. The location (near Lake Seminole) is rustic and reminiscent of earlier times. If you go on Friday or Saturday nights, go early or expect to wait as this is a popular spot in SW Georgia.

Me and 9 other people ate here, and the food was delicious, I admit, it was a little slow but trust me, it is worth the wait. The service speed was great; fast, attentive, and helped when I needed to know something. They keep the glass filled and watch out when its low. When the food came out it smelled so great, i couldnt wait to dig into it. Upon my first bite I realized that this was gonna be an awesome experience. The food was amazing, the people I ate with said their steaks were cooked perfect to order and had great flavor. I had the shrimp and crab cakes, and it was some of the best ive had in a good while. Overall, perfect 5/5, great job Pond House!

I started off with a side salad with their homemade vinegrette. Highly recommend! I ordered a side of fried pickles, perfectly cooked! I had their 90 day aged steak. Best I have ever had! I was on a business trip 10 years ago in Syracuse NY and a had a steak from a 5 star chef. The steak at The Pond House handsdown a much better steak!!! Highly recommend!
