Really really good cinnamon roll

Randomly noticed this place on a walk and decided to pop in, and I'm so happy I did. I bought some meat pies, a loaf of Agebe bread, and a couple different types of donut like pastries. The meat pies were divine, my only regret was that I didn't buy more, having never tried Nigrerian pastries before and not knowing what to expect. The donut pastries were perfectly fried and chewy almost like a mochi donut, which was a perfect addition for my morning coffee the next day. The Agege bread was the icing on the cake for returning though. It's very similar to Japanese style Shokupan milk bread, which takes me 3-4 hours to make from scratch. Being able to buy a similar flavor and texture profile loaf instead from a store in walking distance is going to be amazing when I'm not feeling the labor.

Amazing puff puffs and I’m not a doughnut person usually! Proprietor was so friendly. Tried a refreshing distinctive malted soda, maltina. Meat pie with Nigerian spicing was delicious.

I love authentic ethnic food and being a Nigerian-American, Nigerian food is #1 for me. Joba Bakery has authentic, delicious Nigerian pastries. I love that Joba also has it own take on some of the baked goods, but it's still true to Nigeria. My favorites are the chicken pies, which is a great alternative for someone like me who can't eat beef. The pies are my #1 recommendation from Joba's. I love the puff puff, the buns and the authentic Agege bread. I ate that loaf of bread in 24hrs lol. The American items were just as delicious. The cookies are melt in your mouth good. I look forward to trying more items and of course, reordering my favs, the chicken pies and Agege bread.

We ordered puffpuff and meat pie from this lovely bakery. It was top notch! Even wifey really enjoyed it. The owner was on-site and was so pleasant. We would definitely be patronizing Joba Foods again!

I think these were the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had in Chicago! Blew levain out of the water. And loved the meat pie we got. Can’t wait to come back to try more!

An absolutely stellar little bakery with a small selection of high quality sweet & savory pastries and bread. The sweet pastries are decadent but not cloying—a rare treat when most mass market pastries seem to be half made of corn syrup.

Stumbled across this place on a walk and ended up coming back a second time in the same day! After trying the soft/chewy puff puffs (with a chocolate drizzle) that have a similar texture to mochi donuts and the massive cinnamon roll with a heaping serving of icing, I had to come back for the savory pastries which were also top notch! The only thing that was not served was coffee so we ended up taking the goodies down the street. Looking forward to going back for a loaf of Agege bread and another serving of... Everything.

My boyfriend and I like to try different bakery’s out when we watch new episodes of Great British Bake Off. we’ve been meaning to try this place for a while and it was amazingly delicious. The donuts were warm, chewy, and not too sweet, reminds me of beignets or funnel cake. The cinnamon roll was great as well, the cream cheese icing was delightful. Can’t wait to go back. The prices were more than reasonable and the woman behind the counter was very nice.

Well hot damn, this place is BOMB. Now, I haven't been inside, but my partner brought back meat pies and these are some of the best damn meat pies I have ever had. It's buttery, a delicious filling and I can't wait to get more.

I was walking by and didn’t see this place before so I checked it out and was so happy I did! I got a cinnamon roll and it was so dang good. While I was at the bakery there were two men who were eating the meat pies there and loved it so much they ordered more and ate them at the spot haha. I’ll try it next time!!!

Great new neighborhood spot. Amazing quality baked goods and unique selections baked in house (think bread, rolls, pies, puffs , brownies, cookies etc). The owner is very friendly and eager to delight customers. I especially love the meat pie and bread. Actually everything here is pretty amazing. I look forward to coming back.
