Always get the best service. Except for Door Dash.

I'm not sure why Google maps won't allow you to confirmed that this place is permanently closed. I provided an image to proof that the building is actually getting demolished. It sadden me that this place is gone as I was a regular. I hope the owner are alright since it was family own. The food was great especially the fries. What a shame. 4/19/2024

Totally bummed! Ordered 2 $18.00 (each) steak bombers. They were both too salty to eat and both were missing the peppers, onions and mushrooms!!! Oh well- thought we'd try it. But that will be our first and last try!

This place is closed and has been for a year or two

Placed was closed and shutdown. Upset that the location shows active. Drove from Delray. Fortunately found alternative with Desi Subs & Grill.

The service was decent at first, until we realized the extra $5 that was charged on our card. We asked for the receipt and it's no wonder we did not get it. We do not live close, so when the bank sent us our card activity text, we were surprised to see the charge was incorrect. But where I have the biggest issue is the worker argued me down that the money was not charged. Meanwhile I'm looking at my account and see that John Smith charged my card an extra unexplained charge. Check you charges from this location. I wasn't going to mention the fly hovering over the bread waiting to be served to the next customers behind us. Very disappointed.

Drove to this location a few days ago, Thursday, July 6, 2023 and the interior was empty. No people, no tables, no chairs, no electricity. Graffiti spray painted on the windows, trash around the outside, random vehicles parked in the stalls with no one inside the restaurant. Submitted a 'closed' edit suggestion to Google and it was not approved. This place is clearly not open for business but Google maps says it is. DO NOT waste your time driving to this location. It is empty and definitely closed.

I love this place. No matter how many years go by the quality is always amazing. I’ve been coming since I was little. It’s my comfort food.

Terrible kid on the phone was not listening to my husband. Took order. When he picked up and brought home was not our order. We ordered a gator and a triple deli. We got a meatball and turkey with bacon and lettuce. We were so hungry from working all day we suffered thru it. Sadly we paid double for what we actually got and to tied to go back out again. Will not ever be back again I don't even want to give a star. Something has really gone wrong with customer service and good service. I would never do this being in customer service but things need to change, management needs to step up for what they get paid. Or get rid of them

The weekly Day staff is always super friendly, never been in during the evenings. But they know me by name, and the fact they took the time to know that is awesome on its own. AND Honestly this place has one of the Absolute BEST Cuban Sandwich's you can buy in PBC.

Great subs It would have been a 5 stars but the bread was not as good as could have been

Have to say how disappointed I was with my roast beef sandwich. The meat was so thick I practically needed a knife and fork to cut it with. Could not even bite through it, had to literally GNAW it to get a piece off. Flavor of the rare roast beef was good but it was full of gristle and there is very little meat in the sandwich for the price you pay. Probably would have been a lot more meat if they bothered to thin slice it instead of giving me huge hunks. This is the second time I've had this sandwich. Both times they were the same so I don't see anything changing and will probably never order it again. I do recommend the steak bomb if you want a really good steak sandwich though they are getting a little chintzy with the meat on that too for the price you pay.

They do have good food, but internet pricing and in-store are different. So they should honor the price that is on there website.

Nice guy but when My husband dove into his steak bomb sandwich he found 2 long hairs in his sandwich. By the way, I’m the lady who came in with her son and I jokingly asked if you could baby sit my kid.. sorry but that was a rather nasty encounter a very expensive sandwich.. 👎🤢

Always nice workers, fast and healthy

First time back since before the Pandemic. I drive for a limo company in Broward. Don't get up here much but when I do I try to stop here. Reasonable prices and quality ingredients. The staff is always pleasant as is the guy here today. Doesn't seem like they raised prices like all the other greedy owners. My only complaint is I wish they had whole wheat instead of just white bread subs.

went here because other places where closed and figure we try something different and it was good but i would like to try there cuban sandwich i like mines with extra cheese with pickles might be a bit better then the cold cut sandwich i ordered eariler

Best Philadelphia cheese steak in the South

I love this place. Clean, respectful and hard working. I grew up in west palm and always came to this Jon smith. I recently moved but travel frequently back and froth out of state. It's nice when you can walk in and no matter how long the line is, your food will be ready within 15/20 min. Again It's super clean and the guy who works there is the best! Everything is always fresh and in my opinion all the hot subs are better than anything in publix!

Best hot subs in South Florida! Always super quick and they never get my order wrong. The workers are always the nicest people. Plus if you order fries they will make them fresh right in front of you!

John Smith subs is awesome 👌 they make the most delicious subs in the area,I would say right there with Russo's subs. Both are definitely the best in town hands down, don't believe me slide by and give them a try. Everyone that I had brought there always brings it up when we want to get something to eat

This place is hands down my favorite. Jon Smith is a classic in our area. I don't know if they exist anywhere else. Try the Cajun Steak sandwich! I usually ask them to go light on the jalapeños and it comes out perfect!

First time there and fell in love with the fries super crispy not shoestring fries but pretty close so you still have some texture inside as well. I ordered a turkey sandwich and steak and cheese sub both were loaded up with meat and fixed up anyway you want it. This place is pretty outstanding for their sandwiches I have never been able to have a cheeseburger type sub sandwich until I walked into those doors it amazed me seeing all of that on a sub sandwich it was pretty outstanding service and I got my meal made right in front of me and pretty quickly for a good price. I know there is a small Jon Smith Subs in Royal Palm by a Publix so if you haven't been I would definitely recommend checking it out may have some pretty cool categories of food selection especially putting the coolest ideas into a sub sandwich.

I came here yesterday unintentionally i haven't eaten john Smith in years as i walked in i noticed the place was extra clean just lime all the locations i was going to get a steak bomb when i saw a try our lemon pepper sub anybody that knows me know i am a lover of lemon pepper so i ordered foot long of course duuh with fries and drink it was on the expensive side a lil over 15 bucks thats the only knock the chicken was soooo juicy and the lemon pepper was a great compliment to the perfectly grilled chicken breast the fries was nice a crispy with a slight snap just like fries should be the guy even brought out my order to the table on a tray as if i was a five star guest i would say i will be back

I have been coming to this Jon Smith for a while and the food is always great. They make fresh subs and the steak and cheese sub is what put them on the map. The food is always fresh and the staff friendly. The have both cold and hot subs and various kinds of steak subs. From a regular steak and cheese to the smoked Cajun steak, you can't go wrong ordering your lunch or dinner from here. Everything is made to order and they also always play country music. They have these cute posters too about the place and their history.

Their chicken teriyaki sub is to die for.

I just had a Italian cold sub and it was so good I ate it before I could take a picture soft bread great big slices of meat fresh lettuce tomato pickle jalapeño banana peppers and enough salt pepper oil and vinegar to taste but not make the sandwich soggy I love good food I may go back today
