As with every time that I visit this place, I know that I'm going to get some good, fresh cooked food. Not only do you know the food is going to taste good, but you have the assurance of knowing you will not be hungry after leaving. As a matter of fact, when you leave, you will need a nap because it will put you to sleep.

Had such a lovely lunch here! Loved all southern soul food options and everything we had delicious (pork chops & oxtail with mac & cheese, black eyed peas, and collards). The entire staff Wesley, Bri, and Sherilyn were so personable and seemed to genuinely want feedback on the food and experience their customers were having. Nothing but positive things to share... Highly recommend!!!

You have got to be kidding! The menu special for Wednesday, meatloaf, was not available because she said she was tired of making it. So I ordered a veggie plate. Everything was straight out of a can including the collards. Soul food? No way!! 4 little bowls of unseasoned veggies and a tiny piece of cornbread... over $16.00 not including tip!! Never again!!

Looking for a home cooked meal and went to their website, checked out their menu for today. Figured you couldn't go wrong with smothered pork chops, collards and lima beans and who could resist an ice cold lemonade on a hot day. Called in for my to go order which was ready when I arrived and I barely made it to my truck before I had my spoon in the rice & gravy which comes with every meal plus the 2 sides, the pork chop (you get 2) was tender and who doesn't love collards and limas with a little hot sauce. Oh my, takes me back to when my family sat down to a sunday dinner with all the fixings. Can't get any better than that. Good ole southern country cooking at it's best. If you haven't been then you gotta go..

Incredible hole-in-the-wall. Food was really delicious, it’s a laid-back come as you are atmosphere, and the owner takes the orders and prepares all of the food. Slightly pricey, but you get great quality food and a large portion.

The service is great considering the owner does everything.. .sometimes she has help, sometimes she’s alone. For this type of restaurant, you cannot beat the food! Everything I’ve had is delicious! It’s a long drive for me, but I’d she were closer, I’d be there EVERY day! It’s not big….you can tell the customers are locals and definitely repeats….can’t say enough good about it…The owner is a gem!!

This isnt a fast food joint so dont expect alot of speed but do look forward to a generous portion of food that is very flavorful.

This is the best soul food I’ve had in Fl . My boyfriend and I left full with tons of leftovers , portions were plentiful, taste was amazing service was great . The owner was amazing and really loves her customers and it shows . Enjoyed our conversation with her and th food was amazing ! Will definitely be back everytime we come to PCB it was worth the drive form the beach , only complaint is she isn’t open for dinner !

Listen....... When I say, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, I felt like my Grandmother was in the kitchen, you have to try this for yourself, This place has become my most Favorite place to eat in Panama City. Price is right, food is delicious, and location is perfect

I came because of the very misleading 4.7 rating....lol Being from the south Imma say bless their hearts, if you think so! I got a veggie plate. The green beans, yams and collards were straight from the can. I clutched my pearls in disbelief. I'm from the Atl where I've NEVER experienced that before. Our ancestors would not support this! The mac and cheese was the sabing grace and was cooked with love/care. They got a 2 because of the very nice gentleman with a welcoming spirit who checked me out.... and the mac was good. Canned/unseasoned sides, crumbly and dry cornbread...smh. Maybe their meats are good or something. I drove from PCB, 25 mins and ended up throwing out most of my plate. The place was quiet and clean. The lady/maybe owner with short platinum hair said nothing and never cracked a smile. I miss the A! I wish them the best but would not return

Family owned place right down the street from the hospital. Everyone that was working was kind, the food was banging, had a good variety of food. I had the fried ribs but wsnt to go back and try the grouper throats.

My family and I were on spring break. We were so delighted to find Josiah’s, the food was amazing and service was top notch! We will visit again on our next trip to PCB.

So their aren't many words to describe how great this place is. I haven't food like this since my granny passed. No seasoning needed at all. The owner is serious about her food and so funny. We had oxtails, fried Ribs, porkchop, rice gravy, chicken dressing, turnips, collards... and alloy of other stuff. Definitely have to come here if you're in Panama City Florida. It's worth going over the bridge and hitting MLK for some of the best soul food you've ever put in your mouth.

1st time visiting Josiah's. I heard about Grouper throats and had to try them. They were described as big bones and big chunks of meat. That description was MOST ACCURATE with great flavor!! Oxtails were also on the menu and the owner brought me some to sample. It was tender and paired well with the rice and carrots! I also forgot to mention tje cornbread. Moist and tasty! We ordered pork chops and catfish to-go! The owner was Super Nice and attentive! If you're in the Panama City area, and want some real home cooking, you definitely need to stop by Josiah's Southern Cooking!

First time having grouper backs. Great southern food, koolaid was a treat, food was fresh and hot. Loved it.

Holy smoke, this food puts a new meaning to good ol southern cooking. The chef in charge makes me want to slap my mama! Very affordable and great hospitality.

The food was absolutely amazing. They have amazing service and you feel like your apart of a family.

I don't know how this place have a 4.7. The food is ok. The Mac and cheese is blended no seasoning. The yams are just yams. The meatloaf and rice and gravy is basic not a lot of favorite for me. And the CORNBREAD SMH Stop it. I took a bite and said NOPE. Customer service is wonderful from one of the ladies. The older lady I guess she is the Boss. She got a little attitude when I asked is the cake Red velvet. She said do you want a pieces. In my head I was saying that wasn't my question. Then she mumbled something , then I just said nevermind. So she decided to start naming all the cakes and said yes that is Red velvet. I still said no thank you I'm good. But she still tried. I said no thanks again she walked away and the other lady came and I paid. When I receive my food she gave me a piece of cake for free. When you don't react to people's attitude and humble yourself great thing happen. So when I received my food I had a free piece of cake in my bag. She know that she was wrong for the attitude because I gave her no attitude and I was very respectful. Then she came to me and asked where are you from. I tried here Atlanta. Gave me a safety-pin to put on her map on her board. Then started asking me what do I do. So when you're respectful and humble. People cannot get to you and they can see that. But the food 1-10 a 5. Come to Georgia for some good soul food. And the cake is very good.

Incredible lunch spot with delicious food and friendly staff. We were passing through town and wanted to eat at a local lunch spot. So happy we found the reviews for Josiah’s. The oxtail lunch (w/rice, gravy, cornbread and two sides!) was the best I have had in years.

Good food but horrible customer service.

Here because my family loves southern food but each encounter has been over an hour wait… Please take into consideration your serving time. Nonetheless the food is superb every time, down to earth staff and incredibly CLEAN kitchen. I love supporting local, small black owned business such as this one.

Good,hearty and delicious food. The owner was very down to earth, up close and personal in her kitchen talking to us while she prepared our meal. She made us feel at home. Great customer service! We will be returning.

I ordered the fried catfish, potato salad and greens. This Was the best fried catfish I’ve had in years! It was flavorful, not too greasy/oily and tasted fresh. The prices were very reasonable. The staff was very welcoming and gave me excellent customer service! I highly recommend Josiah’s if you have taste for great soul food and excellent customer service!

Some people might shy away from a local place, but my wife and I love to try them. The people that run this restaurant are very friendly. You feel like you have been invited over for dinner at a friend's house. We ordered fried grouper fillet but got chunks of grouper, which we suspect were grouper throats, but definitely not a fillet. The meal took longer than we expected (about an hour to get), and it was disappointing not to get a fillet. Everything arrived nice and hot with generous portions. Worth the time!

Been going here for a couple years. This is my number one southern cooking restaurant ever! Service is great! The lady who runs it is so nice! Love it! Five stars! Recommend the fried pork chops! Just like my momma made em!

First visit. Small restaurant but you can dine in. I chose to take-out. There is a wait because the food is cooked to order. Bring patience but it's worth it. I got the fried porkchop (2) with lima beans, yams and cornbread. All meals come with rice and gravy. If you're looking for real and good soul food, Josiah's is the place to go. You will be full and satisfied. I will definitely be returning. Sharonlyn is very nice and definitely makes sure everyone is taking care of.

This was my first visit. I only ordered 2 sides, rice and green lima beans. I didn't order a meal because I didn't see any options that was not something fried. The beans were well seasoned but I'm not a fan of crunchy rice. Will I go back, it's likely, but I will definitely make sure the rice is done before leaving.

Living in PCB for a few years now and finally making it to lunch here, took a minute to find this hidden gem behind Steele's, but totally worth it. We had the chicken wings, catfish filet, mac n' cheese, and green beans, and everything was amazing! Everyone was so friendly, and food came out quick. Just a fabulous experience all around. We will definitely be back.

saw this place online and HAD to try it when i say literally the best food i’ve ever eaten THE BEST so so good and the owner was so nice and accommodating to us i got the oxtails with mac and cheese and green beans and rice and gravy comes with every meal i wish i could take this place everywhere with me. Fried Ribs were wonderful. Tasty, just like a pork chop but more tender. Locally owned, so stop by and see them.

I never leave reviews, but... WOW!!! DELICIOUS!!! Southern hospitality at it's best. Everything we ordered had wonderful flavor. We happened to stop in while we were passing thru the area and we're glad we did. If we're ever in the area again we will definitely be back!

This is my go to place for Southern home cooking period! Always hot, always delicious! From Grouper throats and smothered Pork Chops to some melt in your mouth Ox Tails! And the veggies; collard greens, lima beans, blacked peas awesome! If you want the best Southern food around here, you have to make this place a must! Right in back of Steele Boys Bail Bonds building!
