The boneless spare ribs here are the best! I like the curry here it's very flavorful but I wish it was spicier.

Hands down Best Chinese in town

So dissapointed, I ordered an eggplant chicken with garlic sauce but there is no chicken in it, it is all eggplant.

A bit pricey but great tasting food. I had a General Tso chicken combo. I can't say I ever remember being charged extra for pork fried rice, but this was very good pork fried rice. I just thought it was strange seeing an almost $3 upcharge for the rice. I'll definitely be back though.

This is the third time that I’ve had an issue with this restaurant. I’m allergic to mushrooms and specifically asked if there were mushrooms in the chicken pad Thai. I was told that there were no mushrooms yet I found a ton of them in my food and could not eat it. When I called the restaurant, they said that they were not mushrooms and that they were noodles, which was a complete lie. You can obviously tell that they are mushrooms and I even had my husband taste it to confirm. Not only is this wrong, but it is extremely dangerous to the customers who have allergies. I will absolutely not be ordering from here again.

I was so excited when I first heard this was opening near me. I have gone in when they first opened and had some of their Thai food. I had the Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai and curry shrimp and they were not very good but I figured they just opened so I'd give them a little time to get it right. I went in again a couple of months ago and had their Pork egg rolls, pork lo mein and chicken fried rice. The lo mein was very mushy and the egg rolls were overcooked but the fried rice was okay. And a couple of other times it was just okay. But today I felt like having some Chinese for lunch and stopped by for Some Hot and Sour soup, shrimp roll and spring rolls. The spring rolls had a mush in them and were not very tasty, the shrimp roll had ONE small piece of shrimp in it and the Hot and Sour soup was like a container of chicken broth was opened up and they added some tofu, a few minute pieces of mushroom and a few veggies. It Had Zero pork or ANY kind of meat in it and it was like drinking a cup of hot water no substance whatsoever. If you've ever had hot and sour soup it's thick and has Pork, tofu, mushrooms and a bunch of veggies. I don't think I'll be going back here. I've given it enough time and quite a few tries now and I've been disappointed each time. Today was really disappointing.

Close down please and bring in Panda world..cook the veggies till done.

Not a fancy restaurant, but you can order to go and the food is very good. The service is fast and is a clean place.

Somewhat ok if you get what you order. Just do not expect anything but food in a bag. Eat it with your fingers. Btw tried to make it right and still missed the mark. By a mile.

This was my first time trying out the joyful restaurant and everything was good. I wish the fried rice had some egg pieces in it and the bourbon chicken was slightly sweeter, but everything else was very good. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful as well when I had a few questions and got answers for me right away.

The mei fun was great. Now, the egg rolls were another thing. Ordered pork and got veggie. The egg rolls were frozen and rubbery. Either the fryer wasn't working or they were put in the microwave. It's very disappointing since I've been there a number of times. They never should have sent the egg rolls out like that. Not good for business.

We ordered off their website delivery we are very loyal customers there and only did delivery due to having Covid and paid 45$ for pad Thai, beef and broccoli dinner combo and crab cakes Rangoon we were missing the egg roll with the dinner combo they wouldn’t give us the egg roll after calling and speaking with bri she was rude and we will never be returning she told us our order didn’t come with a egg roll when we literally get the same thing every time we order so you just lost a customer that spends 30-50$ a week there and also someone who will not reccomend anybody to your place I will be placing my review on Tik Tok where I have over 10,000 followers as well .

Does not taste as authentic as a privately owned restaurant. Did not get as much for your money as you do in most other places. We were charged extra for egg rolls, most places include them.

Horrible customer service. They gave me the wrong food and then when I called and spoke to the manager, he told me to come to the store to pick up my correct food. When I got there, they basically told me I was a liar and it was a hassle to get the correct food. Don’t waste your time eating here.

To hard to order online when they are insisting on card info even when I'm ordering and paying with cash. The food isn't bad but it's not good enough to put up with service.

Have been living in Lakeland for about 2 years and have tried so many other places, but this one was hiding from me. I'm happy I finally gave it a try, it was some of the best Asian cuisine Lakeland has to offer. They were very speedy and even though I got takeout the inside was very clean and organized.

I ordered via DoorDash and forgot to say no mushrooms, I’m terribly allergic and caught it as soon as the order went through. Tried calling at least 15 times and no one would answer. Contacted my dasher and he tried to have it corrected and they told him “that’s not your job, just deliver the food” even after he told them I’m allergic, he tried giving them my phone number and they wouldn’t even call me. They don’t care about their customers AT ALL and are RUDE to everyone else. I DO NOT recommend. We used to order here all the time. Disappointed is an understatement.

So I ordered food for pick up and it's average at best. Also they are barely listening to you when you order over the phone. I repeated my order 3 times and they still got it wrong. I ordered sweet tea and somehow got a Thai tea and the guy confirmed that "yes we have sweet tea." So underwhelmed with their service and food. Just go anywhere else.

I hate to write this cause. I always write positive reviews. This is actually the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. My husband I've ever had in my life. My husband and I both agreed on this. We got it to grubhub. It was just terrible. It had a weird flightbook to it and quite frankly. We wouldn't order Chinese food for a while. Because it tastes so bad. It and made us not want to even order chinese from anywhere

I had other here a few time. When they open the food was on point. Now is like they have old food. Just order again last night and we all here with food poisoning. Please family this is not the spot to enjoy a meal.

I wanted to try out a different Chinese restaurant in the Lakeland area. Initially I was not pleased with the order. We received what looked like extremely watery chicken soup instead of chow mein. I was unable to return to the restaurant due to a road spill. I believe I spoke with the owner, or at least a guy who was highly concerned and made it right. After a few phone call exchanges, the guy hand delivered a replacement meal, lo mein. It was delicious, one of the best I've had. While I was eating, he called back checking in on the quality of the food. Now that's what I call quality service! He went out of his way to make that call. I will definitely be going back and recommend.

Very bad customer service, the phone number is not link to the shop . I paid for 2 portions of rice received one and am trying to call the store and no one is answering. Very disappointing. We’ll never buy from this place again.

All the dishes I have tried so far are great: Wonton soup, dumplings, Orange chicken, General Tso Chicken, Hunan chicken, Pepper Steak; the rice is so moist, but not overcooked!! My new favorite Chinese food restaurant!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Food was anything but joyful. Hard to get plain fried rice or shrimp fried rice wrong but they did. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was nice so I gave them 3 stars, if not it'd be a one. First and last time.

We ordered takeout. Upon arriving to pick up the food, we found the restaurant to be very clean and the service staff very polite. The food was outstanding! The best egg rolls I've had since moving from NY to Florida 30+ years ago. I've tried dozens of Chinese food restaurants in Florida over the years, and this is definitely at the top. Highly recommend!

We’ve been eating here since it opened and every meal has been great! The food is always hot when we get it home which is a big deal in the world of take out! This is our go-to for Asian cuisine and the Tom Kha Gai is my all time favorite here!

Very fresh and tasty Chinese in Kathleen next to the publix. Takeout is fast and you can order online. Will definitely return again and highly suggest the crab Rangoon

Currently, this is the best Chinese food in the city of Lakeland. We have been to just under a dozen Chinese restaurants here in Lakeland, and this place has both good food, clean kitchen, and friendly staff The restaurant - 8/10 - It was very clean and the seating and tables were not torn or stained or run down. However, there was only about 4 or 5 tables, but this is one of the few Chinese places I’d actually eat in at. The staff - 9/10 - I have no complaints. My order was correct. Everyone looked as though they were all very busy. Both people I interacted with were nice and accommodating. The food: General Tso’s chicken - 9/10 - The chicken was perfect, the sauce was a good amount of spice, and there was plenty of it for the price. The only thing keeping this from a 10 was I like my sauce a little thicker and I wish there was more of it Hunan chicken - 9/10 - Perfect spice, perfect chicken, crisp vegetables, this dish was on point. The only thing keeping it from a 10 was there was quite a bit of celery in mine. I’m not a fan of the useless veggie, but that’s just me. Sweet and Sour chicken - 5.5/10 - The chicken was perfect, but the sweet and sour sauce was as quite bad. It was very runny like water, but the taste was quite “tangy” with almost a “chemical” after taste. The sauce unfortunately brought down the score of both the egg rolls and the crab rangoon as well. Pork fried rice - 9.5/10 - Wow, other home run, and from a side dish… The rice was moist and the veggies and pork added perfect flavor for a perfect fried rice. The only thing it was lacking was a little extra soy… but hey, I added my own and made it a 10. Egg rolls - 6/10 - The wrapper was crispy, but the filling was rather heavy on the cabbage. But what really drops down the score is that sweet and sour sauce. But what keeps these at a 6 and not lower is the fact that these were good without the sauce Crab Rangoon - 3/10 - These were edible… that’s about all I can say. The wrapper was limp and not crispy. The crab and cream cheese stuffing was “thin” and runny for a Rangoon stuffing and I think it was because there was very little, if any, crab. And again, that sauce didn’t help this score at all. All in all, I would give this place a solid 8.5/10 and I would definitely recommend.

So far best Chinese food in lakeland! Can't go wrong with the price cause the quality is right. The crab ragoons are great and sweet and sour chicken are amazing!!

I think they got off to a rocky start about 8 months ago but we have been there several times since they opened and have never been disappointed. Great service, great food, prices are good. They will customize your order (I don't do onions or sweet peppers) without any problem. Definitely recommend them.

My family has Asian food for dinner on Saturdays and it has been such a hard process finding decent Asian food in Lakeland. One night I suggested to try Joyful and let me tell you I am absolutely thrilled that I did. They give extremely generous portions, food is always delicious and hot, and the customer service is always top notch when picking up the order. I always order online for the ease and have never been disappointed with the process and everything has always been correct. We have been back many times and always suggest it to others who ask for good Asian around here.

Love this place, I work near the area and at the end of my shift or during break I come and buy some spring rolls once in a while, they are definitely my favorite and they are always very kind!

First time I try this restaurant. The orange chicken is really good and the best I have tried on the north side of Lakeland. The dumplings, eggrolls, and the fried rice all taste fresh. The price isn't to bad for the quality of the food I really recommend this restaurant.

This food is amazing! It is about time Lakeland had good Chinese Food. It is actually New York Style Chinese food and Thai food. Everything is made fresh to order. You can even ask to have veggies left out or added. All food choices can either be made spicy or the spice left out. The lunch and dinner specials are an entire meal that comes with a choice of egg drop soup, wonton soup, pork egg roll or soda.

Great food. Even if it isn’t perfect they always trying to make it right. A new business trying to make it in this economy. Our family loves it. Thank you!

I ordered from Joyful thru Grubhub for the first time & their food was delicious & very generous portions & they included the soy sauce, duck sauce, etc. Had been looking for a good new Asian cuisine place & think I found it with Joyful! I had their beef & broccoli, egg fried rice & vegetable lo mein, it was all good. Look forward to trying more of their delicious food!

My first time at Joyful. I called and spoke to Mr. Brinson. He took my order and had patience answering my questions. He said 25 minutes and it would be ready for pickup! It was ready! Order perfect. Friendly service! The food was so good and fresh and hot! Perfection! I’m happy Joyful moved close to us!

I got the shrimp fried rice and 2 shrimp egg rolls. Everything came out wonderful. Large portions on the rice when I was expecting, but that is not a bad thing. Also they had a good shrimp to rice ratio. This is now my go to chinese food place
