Great local place! Went for the Cod chunks platter...tons of really great fish! Place was really busy, and yet service was still really great! Will be back next time I'm in Ohio!!

I absolutely love this place! Their food is excellent! The people are awesome! I can't say one bad thing about this place. I will say, you're very lucky if you know Joan personally. She will light up any table, really quickly! She loves people and it shows!

If your very hungry and love huge portions this is your home. Had the cheese burger with the works. The chicken salad could have fed 4 people. Great times!

It was all very good and nice portions but the fries could of been a little less greasy, other than that it was good and when I'm back this way I'll definitely go back 👍

I drove 1:20 to get there, kinda hard to find thank goodness for GPS. But it was worth it. The atmosphere was great, the food was very good, and our waitress was icing on the cake. Will definitely be back & recommend to others. The name JP's Saloon says it all.

Nice little out of the way place. Went while on Vacation. Family of four ate the large fried grouper platter and was satisfied. Also, had an order of Frog Legs. 1st time ever. Total bill was very reasonable.

I want to say first, this place is cash only so be prepared and great food takes time so be patient with these wonderful people! I cannot say enough good things about this place. My family and I stopped here last night for dinner after reading the amazing reviews on the Ohio Valley Food Fanatics group. My daughter and I shared the seafood platter, which is easily enough food for 4 people! It includes their fried cod chunks, calamari rings, clam strips, popcorn shrimp, thick, fresh cut fries, and onion rings. Everything on the platter was fried perfectly and the fish is buttery, flaky and very lightly breaded. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and cheese sticks and my husband ordered the JP burger which is a ONE POUND beef patty with slices of thick cut bacon and onions on top. Everyone loved their food and we left with tons of leftovers. I cannot wait to come back and try the homemade gnocchi(the saturday special). Also shout out to our amazing waitress who was working very hard in an extremely busy restaurant and still managed to keep the service on point!!

I try to eat healthy, lightweight keto, I avoid fried food and starch, hard to do eating out in Harrison County. They were out of steak, I got the grilled shrimp salad, it was huge and surprisingly amazing for a backwoods dive. I'll be back. Bring cash.

Hole in the wall place off the beaten path. Small, hot, long wait for food due to small kitchen. But worth it! We had the cod platter and it was fantastic. Flakey battered cod chunks with fair style fries. $1 beer night on Thursday when we were there. Recommended and will be back!

Located in a small town but has the best steak and cod fish in the area. Friendly owner and staffs. Very unique place! It's a must visit!

I give it a 3 star. If u see the building u will say don't stop its nothing to look at. But the food is amazing. The portions you get can feed a couple people. The owner is a treat in its self. She is charming an she's a hoot. She's fun. Go early or make a reservation. If you don't you can have a 3 hour wait. Why. Because the food is that good. An large portions.

We really enjoyed eating at this resturant. The food was good and fresh. The service was great. We loved the appearance of the place. We were leaving around 4 pm and people started coming. We were told to get there before cause it really gets busy. Thank you for making our trip delicious.

The food took so long i couldnt beleave it. like 2 hrs. And there was no flavor to the food. Looked good. But didnt taist any seasoning.

The girls really hustle, the place seems to be always busy, been their 3 times, we love their cod fish chucks, lite breading, nice chunks and crispy!

Went to JP's for the first time today with my Dad and my Uncle's and we had the fish platter and it was absolutely delicious 🤤🤤👌👌 To top it off the customer service and hospitality was great and I felt very welcome and will be back to try the burgers next! We're from NC and was back home visiting family and they took us there for dinner. Had the fish dinner and my wife had the shrimp dinner, both were delicious and very plentiful !!! Definitely coming back to have a hamburger, they looked huge and very appetizing !!! Can't wait to get up here again.

Love this place! Would have given it a better rating but the covid guidelines tend to do harm to smaller businesses. Due to social distancing and their lack of service help we had to wait for an hour to get a table and get waited on. Then another 45 minutes for our meal. Once this covid scare is over, I am sure service will improve

Food took about an hour but was so worth the wait. My burger was perfect and huge!! 4 of us ate for under $50. Everyone was friendly. It was clean for being a bar and restaurant. Can't wait to go try more of their food.
