I grew up eating here from the time I was going to school across the street. This is one of those reasons you come home periodically. The original owner Mrs. Jeneau was a treasure. She treated us kids back then like we where her own. Now, Mrs. Nina has kept the atmosphere alive and the original foods true to form. She has has added flavors to the menu and that has made it uniquely her's, as well. I can not go home without getting my weenie sandwich. It's just a must. I have been ordering one since 1960. Don't pass it up. You can thank me latter...

Snowballs are ok Nothing special.Lacking flavor .Priced good thou.

Last time I was in there a lady named Donna was harassing a dear dear dear friend of mine my little sis as long as that woman stays there and harasses another employee which is unacceptable and y'all let it continue I will tell my friends and family I will never go there again or spend my money at all I've been going to y'all for years though I will tell my family and friends howco workers are being treated like that ! Ridiculous a hard-working person like that is being harassed and continuously is employed there never again will I go there because of Donna harassing Pamela ! I ran a club 25 years and had never tolerated employees such as that employee ! And then going your restaurant for over 30 disgusting !

This is an old school neighborhood restaurant that closes at 3 so no dinner just breakfast and lunch. Very out of the way but been in business since 1949 I think. Great food never dissatisfied ever. I've been going here since I was in High School. Used to skip School at West Jefferson and come down here for lunçh. Laté seventies for sire as I graduated 1980. They aré still in business and doing qúite well. They deliver with in a reasonable area of course. On 7th st by Immaculate Conception School between Ave D and MacArthur Blvd. Hard to find somewhat but definitely worth the trip. Enjoy.

Roast beef po boy was delicious. No room to sit . Had to eat in my car . Stood for a bit , finally a lady ask me .. "Are you waiting for something ". And then she made my sandwich. Apparently my ticket was misplaced. No apology.....

This might be a small place but don't let that fool you. The food is amazing.

Juneau's is the best place to go for lunch on the Westbank! They have the BEST roast beef poboy in town!!! The weenie sandwich is also a great experience if you're up for trying something new! Love this place!!!

Haven't been to this place since the 80's, visited 3 weeks ago and it's amazing

This place was phenomenal! My friends and I stopped here for lunch after doing a swamp tour that was located down the street, and the reviews for Juneau's were ON POINT with how great the food was. The place wasn't too crowded when we arrived, and we were able to find a place to sit. You could tell it was a spot where locals go because everyone knew everyone and kept greeting each other and saying goodbye when they left. Juneau's was super efficient even during the lunch rush, and Ms. Nina Romaguera couldn't have been kinder to take our order! The atmosphere reminded us of our small local spots back home in Georgia. The batter on the onion rings was so wonderful and they were deliciously crispy, the burger I had tasted very homemade, but the best thing was the sweet tea (outside of Ms. Nina's welcoming hospitality)! If you're not a local (or if you are) and are looking for a great lunch, highly recommend Juneau's.

Great food and super friendly people!! We are traveling through from Texas and found Juneau's. We had the BBQ PoBoy, Meatball PoBoy, sweet potato fries, onion rings, Hamburger PoBoy, and Grilled Chicken salads. If we are ever back this way we will make sure to stop and eat!

I have gone a few times on my lunch break and have never had a long wait even when they are busy. I've had the shrimp on bun, hot sausage poboy, and a spaghetti and meatball lunch plate. All were very good. Spaghetti and meatballs was seasoned well and came with corn. Everything is priced fairly and the service is always top notch and friendly. I definitely recommend.

Dressed 10" Italian sausage po-boy was large enough to share for lunch and completely satisfy the two of us. I hope to come back and try some of the other items on the menu!

Stopped by this fantastic old haunt my coworkers and I used to frequent when I worked on the West Bank years ago! Best roast beef Po-Boy, just like I remember it, but everything on the menu is incredible! Thanks to current owner, Nina, for the very generous hospitality and history of the place! Local favorite! It's been here since before my dad was still teaching across the street. The ladies behind the counter are always wonderful! Get the weenie on french if you've never been. Breakfast or lunch, you can't go wrong.

You cannot go wrong at Juneau's. Nina and her crew know what they are doing. The ROAST BEEF is very tender. All the PO-BOYS are great. The place is spotless and the service is SPECTACULAR. Very affordable TOO. What else could you ask for? PERFECT.

Old fashion Nawlins Neighborhood Restaurant. Food is authentic and good, service is like family. Except you are the relative that comes only once in a while so they treat you like royalty.

Nina and staff always do their best to keep customers happy. I am always treated like family when I go in. My favorite of course is as the Westbankers say the “Weenie Samich.”

Roast beef gravy was awesome, meat was too chewy, needs to be sliced against the grain in slim slices. Brought it home cut up meat and reheated bread, made perfect sandwich.

Juneau's Hole in the Wall Sandwich Shop: I can never get enough. I've been a customer since I was 6. I am now 59. I drive over 9 hours to get my po-boy fix from Juneau's. I've loved all the owners: Ms Juneau, Ms Marilynn and Mr Murphy, and now Wonderful Nina! DON'T FORGET TO GRAB YOUR SNOWBALLS AND BARQS ROOT BEER WHILE YOU'RE THERE!!

Born and raised on the westbank. Living in Alabama. Came all the way down just for a hot sausage sandwich. No body makes em like Juneaus makes em.

Awesome place to get a quick bite. They serve both breakfast and lunch. Many sandwiches and poboys to choose from. They have a daily special everyday. Today I had the white beans with fried fish, salad and bread for $7.25. A lot of food for the price. Also Nina and her staff are great. Give them a try.

My first time there. Food was great. No wonder they have been there forever.

I have never received a mediocre sandwich from here. The staff is always warm and welcoming. The food is always the same (excellent). From rhe Po-boys, the plates and the onion rings are to die for. The owner Nina, always knows what I want, even if I haven't been there in a month or two! They are always taking donations for people who need surgery and can't afford the Dr. or hospital bills. She even puts out displays for children that are selling things for schools, such as candies, chocolates and such. And puts out jars to collect money for missing children and the elderly. I commend her and her sraff for their caring hearts. What a way to give back to the community. Nina is one in a thousand and can always count on my business, even though it's not as often as I would like!!!

Man I really wish I could give it more... I’m glad to see it reopened and would break my heart to see it close. However, just know before you go it’s not the same Juneau’s you once knew. Screen door is gone, the Coca Cola box... gone and I honestly think there is too much on menu now which the go to items at times doesn’t come out consistent. If you catch it on the right day you can definitely satisfy that Weiner sandwich craving, but it definitely isn’t the same. If it’s not broke don’t fix it.

What can I say other than this family-owned business is wonderful. I've been eating there since I was a teenager love it. at least 51 years .I would recommend everybody to try Juneau's. Staff so friendly. Their like family.
