Literally walk in, order the coconut mushroom udon noodles and elevate to nirvana. These noodles have changed my brain chemistry. I have been resurrected as a brand new person. I understand humanity on a different level now. EAT THEM. Also, to the host yesterday, 9/8, you had on a leopard or cheetah print long sleeve on and black pants. You are a ray of sunshine. Your makeup ATE and you have literally the prettiest smile I’ve ever seen. Hope your life is good and Kabooki gives you a BALLER raise. Truly a high-end sushi restaurant. Great menu with a throw back to the OG Japanese Sushi houses. If you're looking to go somewhere on a first date or just an entertaining night out, make sure to sit at the sushi bar. This kitchen runs like well-tuned engine. The cooks all take pride in their work. They also always seem to be having fun and enjoying themselves. There is just so much activity to watch and learn from. Just stop reading my review and go over there. My only critique would be that it is a bit pricey. Especially for the portion sizes. The roles are a bit smaller than your traditional American-style sushi so take that in mind when ordering.

Me and my boyfriend dined here for our anniversary. Our server, Kimo (unsure of spelling) was excellent. Gave great suggestions, paced out our courses, and saved an ube cheesecake for us since we came close to closing. Don’t let the outside fool you, the inside is beautiful, dim, and classy. Recommend the yucca fritters, Tom Yum roll, the ribs, and the karaage! We came on a Sunday and it was perfect, no music playing from the lounge nextdoor. Will definitely be back.

Happy hour and magical dining is the way to go to get the most bang for your buck. With that said, even for regular dining you won’t be disappointed in the food. It’s always been fresh and quality ingredients here

Service is great. The roles are a disappointment. Very basic, flavorless, and chewy 👎. I would not but the raw fish dishes are on point.

This place has really gone down hill. Used to be really good which made it easier to stomach the classism. Show up in my honda and I get treated way worse than when I show up in my lambo. The prices aren't justified, you're better off eating elsewhere. Started going down hill about a year ago. The food isn't as good and the attitude is the same. Make sure you show up looking rich or you get worse service. Big disappointment

First, do not go to this restaurant without reservation or a jacket. If you go without a reservation, you will be sat at one of their small high top tables which barely provide you with enough room to comfortably eat. The jacket; do not go here without a jacket at all! My finger nails were damn near blue when I walked out because it was so cold. I give them a pass on this item because this is the case throughout restaurants all over FL. The atmosphere of the place is very nice and upscale, but the music was incredibly loud. It felt like this place was a club slash sushi place, however, again a very nicely designed restaurant. Now,...the food. I could get over everything mentioned above, but the food was quite bland. Everything was presented and made well, but the taste was flat or just rather odd. This was quite disappointing especially when you're paying $20 a roll. I think we had about 6 rolls with some drinks and the bill was easily $200. Normally, I would not care if the food was great but simply put, it was just weak. Out of the 6 different rolls, only one stood out which was the LV - lump crab meat with torched Wagyu. This was delicious. Lastly, the drinks...horrid. We sent back 3 drinks because they lacked balance. Either the drink was so strong, it would knock you on your a#% or it lacked any liquor at all. Even our waitress complained of several drinks she did not like listed on the menu. The one plus I will give them is they serve top shelf liquor with their drinks. The service was good, but the food and drinks were either so bland or unbalanced, I could never see myself going back to this restaurant. There are so many better sushi restaurants nearby (like Yamasan for instance).

Loved the experience from start to finish. Our server was super gracious and knowledgeable. He spaced out our courses, recommended a delicious mocktail I loved and was really attentive. The food was incredible - yucca fritters with tuna and the kimchee edamame were favorites. The only thing I didn’t love was the tempura. It just wasn’t a tempura batter — too heavy..

Birthday dinner and each item was that much better than the last.

Phenomenal experience. From start to finish. It was a solo night for me, so I got a spot at the bar and nigiri tasting with some appetizers. Blown away by flavors. Chef did amazing, explaining each dish so knew what I was tasting. Their house old fashioned is a must have too. Definitely will be back to try more from their menu too

The food at Kabooki’s is hit or miss. Some dishes, like the TOM YUM and Brekwood St. Louis’s sticky ribs, are really good. The ribs melt in your mouth and fall off the bone. However, I don’t recommend the king salmon tasting—it’s overpriced and nothing special, with just five slices of salmon. Additionally, the rice cakes were extremely spicy and not particularly noteworthy, but the chef kindly took them off the receipt, which was a nice gesture and showed that they care about their guests. The overall atmosphere at Kabooki’s is great. We sat at the bar and could see the cooks preparing food fresh. The server was very welcoming, had a great attitude, and was quick to bring food and offer recommendations.

This place is such a vibe. I dine here every time I visit Orlando. 😍 Best sushi I’ve ever had. Truly, I have yet to enjoy sushi even slightly, anywhere ever since I came here for the first time over decade ago. Amazing service, tasty cocktails. I often daydream about Kabooki sushi.

The food quality is excellent, but this is not a restaurant for me. Our server was good/personable, but he did forget to ring in one of our items. I confirmed with him the sequence the food types would come out so that is exactly how I placed our order. We ordered an app, sticky ribs and 3 rolls. Not a big deal, but the lady that brought some of our food to the table mumbled as to what she was delivering and she absolutely did not want to be there. The portions are small for the price. The drinks were excellent. Again, the food is excellent, but my wife and I agreed, we would not go back, but if you want "fancy", this may be your speed.

I’m from Orlando and have never tried this place until recently. I should’ve tried it wayyyyy sooner! The food was so delicious. The way they pair flavors are a match made in heaven. I got a miso soup and a sushi roll. I came here for my birthday and the inside of the restaurant is soooo nice with food service and drinks to match. Go here, you will not be disappointed.

Went with a group of 7 for birthday, we ordered at least 10 different sushi dishes, came out one after the other. Great energy, environment, food.

Got there at 9:20 PM may 21 they told me the dining was closed at 9:15 Pm but i can order sushi until 9:30 . But i have to order at the bar . drove to this side of town Especifically to eat here .

Among the best in Orlando! Our service was amazing and we had a great dinner. The atmosphere is great, food and drinks were incredible. Our sever was funny, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. The Maguro Truffle and Yuca Fritters were our favorites!

We absolutely loved the food. That being said, it was way too loud, and the tables seemed to be on top of each other. Definitely not kid friendly.

Sushi tasted good. But be ready to order 5 rolls to be full and each roll is at least $18. Definitely so overpriced compared to other same quality places.

Great fresh food. Rolls were simple and great taste. King salmon was great but small portioned. Otoro was actually chutoro, so just stick with the regular nigiri/sashimi. Great environment and staff overall.

I just didn't get the hype.. everyone says this is their favorite sushi spot, so we tried it out. It was not super busy when we went, so the food was quick. We spent about $100 and had to go elsewhere for more food. The sashimi was paired with little dollops of sauces that just did not compliment the fish. Tiny, tiny pieces of sashimi. We also had to take our best guess at what fish we were eating as neither the expo or server had any idea what they were serving us. The bartender got distracted by some sort of local celebrity and turned his attention away, completely, making us wait for our bill way too long when we were obviously finished. With being the only other people at the bar, this was majorly frustrating. For the prices, this place needs to train their staff to know what they are serving and to pay attention to their guests.

One of the top 3 sushi restaurants in all of central florida. Always high quality food, great service, and ambiance. Stands toe to toe with sushi in any "tier 1" city like NYC or even Tokyo

Main dining room is very loud. Service is top notch. Food portions are tiny, but high quality. Expect to pay 100+ per person if you want to feel full.

I love this place. Absolutely everything on the menu was fantastic. Had no issues, a little pricey but it’s sushi so that’s typically how it goes! The truffle tuna is a must! It gets really busy so be prepared ahead of time.

So they got 3 stars because we spent over $100/ person, and we didn't even get a half meal. Ths portions were infant sized, each person gets one tiny sliver off each dish. If we had gotten our bellies satisfied, i wouldn't mind spending high prices. Left hungry and went and had a real meal after. The flavor was good, and the service was excellent, as is should with what looked like 30 employees hanging out at the bar. It was an interesting experience. Definitely a one and done, unless you are made of money.

It seems like since the remodel and the expansion that the food has changed. It's still tastes good, but it's smaller portions and more money. Five beers cost $50 so the alcohol has gone up too. Are you usual bill for the same order with the tip used to cost us $130 this time for the same food it was $200

Maybe their bar food is better I had this place saved and figured I'd grab a bite. Tried the 'Maguro Truffle' sushi and a chef's sushi set. The 'Maguro Truffle' had crispy rice on the outside, but it was bland too. They only had one kind of soy sauce, so you had to do your own seasoning. They’re too busy and served the wrong dish :)

Average food; poor atmosphere; disappointingly ordinary. It feels like they’re trying, though, and I’ll give them that. They just missed the mark on quality and being elevated/upscale. It’s not a bad place, just temper your expectations.

Dined here with my daughter and we loved the sashimi. The service was fun and helpful. We tried some new to us fish. And the quality is exceptional. It is a bit pricey, but you get good value for that. Make sure you get reservations because this place fills up fast. And save some room for the Ube Cheesecake.

It is a very warm and cozy atmosphere and the service was excellent. The servers were great and the food did not take long to come out. I highly recommend the pork ribs and any of the sushi rolls should be superb.

It had been on my list to try and we finally made it for my BIL birthday! I know it took a while but it sure was worth the wait. We made reservations so check in was fast and grateful that they have complimentary valet. We were looking forward to a couple of items we had our eyes on and they sure delivered. Not only on taste but the quality of ingredients. We got miso soup, wakame, brussel sprouts, nigiri, LV roll, lobster tail dumplings, wagyu A5 hot rock and wrapped it up with the c-4! Service was good but could had been a bit better. We will definitely come back and try the Sand Lake location.

Our meeting with clients was enjoyable at Kabooki and the round table made it easy to give attention to everyone. The wait staff was great, worked together and our waitress was SO helpful in making suggestions for the table. Drinks from the bar were delicious and everyone left pleased.

Food was really good! Went on a weekend so of course it was busy. Service was bit slow but it was a Saturday. We were seated in back by the liquor cabinet. The place is setup really nice, beautiful art and decor.

Wow! Food was spectacular. Service top notch. I’m in from out of town a friend of mine recommended this place. I forgot my credit card and they actually called me to tell I had. I was already in an Uber on my way back to the hotel. I told them to destroy it. I would order a new one from Amex. The manager, unfortunately I don’t remember her name offered to drop it off to the front desk of my hotel when she got off. Amazing such a nice gesture. Talk about going above and beyond. I’ll definitely be back!

Not nearly as good as I hoped. The lounge section was awesome so if you choose to go, definitely sit in that area. If you want sushi definitely get the ghost roll, that was delicious. We loved it so much we got two. The zen roll was awful, it was mushy and devoid of life or flavor, aside from some fishiness and a slight acrid aftertaste. The Hokkaido was okay, the flavors didn't really get along and the fish was quite gelatinous. One of the toppings was quite bitter (I'm wondering if it was the truffle oil). Soy sauce helped a lot to balance the flavor to finish the roll. I wanted to try the LV but after two of the three were a disappointment, I gave up.

Nothing bad to say. A bit pricier than other options, but worth it for a nice night out.

1/13/2024 I don't know if I had my favorite sushi of all time but it was pretty inventive sushi and I did enjoy it. Everything seemed to be fresh and carefully prepared. Gage, our server, was friendly and made good suggestions engaging the experience further. This is not a cheap outing, so be prepared to pay but it's unique with lots of energy. We sat at the sushi bar which seemed to be a living entity the way each person added together to produce a final product. I'd go back for sure. Lots more to try.

We absolutely loved our dining experience there! Our bartender Chen was outstanding with great drinks. The food was delicious, as we shared multiple plates. The caviar was really good, the uni shot was delicious, and the beef carpacio was amazing. Everything was great, though extremely overpriced for the size of the portions you get. We still had an awesome culinary experience!

Some of the absolute best sushi I’ve ever had — a must try if you’re visiting the Orlando area and looking for good sushi. The rest of the items on the menu (ie not rolls) are also really good. Cocktails and bartenders are solid. Only downside is sound levels in the place — some strategically placed fabric panels or something like that would help absorb some sound traveling where now it can get quite loud at peak hours.

First time here. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. The Japanese Uni, the Bluefin Tuna fight, and the Hamachi Carpaccio were all excellently prepared.

Cannot park here. There are plenty of empty parking spaces, but they are all blocked by the valet. I complained to the manager about that and she carefully explained to me why I was wrong. The wine is twice as expensive as in the best steak house in Orlando/Winter Park. The restaurant is in a beaten down strip mall on the noisy Colonial drive. Sushi is so-so. Would not come here again.

Very snobbie staff members the employees think they own the place this place is looks the food but it's over priced for the location and parking situation is horrendous your better off going across the street to juju.

The ambiance and scene is very elegant, upper scale casual vibe. Had Jocelyn/Joslyn as our server, she was fantastic. Food portions are appetizer-sized, so keep that in mind. But overall, a very nice date option.

Such a delightful experience! We got there early in the evening, around 5pm. It wasn't busy, nice and quiet. We were told the food was "small portions" but i disagree! Each plate was an average normal size. Delicious, but we should have ordered less. Each dish we got was incredible. I'm afraid I'll never eat bbq sticky ribs the same again though. They won't live up to the kabooki ribs. They were perfect in every way. And the kimchi edamame was surprisingly great too!

The quality in food and technique in the kitchen was beyond expectations. This is probably the freshest sushi I have sampled here in Orlando. If you're debating whether the food matches their menu price - just order it. You will not be disappointed. Everything was fresh, cut to perfection, and rolled with love/grace. We tried the Zen Roll, Akami Unagi roll, and the Ghost Roll. All absolutely delicious and bursting with so much flavor! My only regret was not coming in with enough $$ to sample more delicious food and drinks. The drinks are on the same level in quality as their food. I've never had hot sake that actually had such a smooth flavor. Highly recommend - it makes for a good pallet cleaner in between dishes. Although I highly recommend trying some drinks from their lounge menu which will only appear when you're inside their restaurant. So delicious I only wish I could remember the name of this cocktail it was the perfect balance of smooth and sweet. I cannot wait to return and try more delicious choices! 10/10

We were heading out to see Pink and had heard great things about the restaurant. What an amazing experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable, fun and attentive. We loved the energy of the room, the decor and the uniforms were great as well. The food was delicious! Our dishes had the best pairing of flavors. We did items on the Chef’s Specials menu and we were not disappointed. We finished the mean off with the carrot cake. Seriously, the best on the planet. We left wanting to comeback and try everything on the menu. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is extremely loud!! People were drunk and super boisterous which took away from me being able to enjoy a conversation. But, yes there is a big but. The chef here is amazing and although the food is pricey, I have to say it was worth it. The meat was a melt in your mouth sensation, the sushi was fresh and the rice was soft, my old fashion was delicious I ordered two. I could not stop eating the ube cheesecake. It wasn’t heavy, had a great flavor to it. My belly left happy but my ears not so much. #tryit Update came again in 2023 now and was able to sit in the lounge. The music volume was just right and I was able to speak to boyfriend. The waiter was super attentive and our dishes came out at the right time. I had the king salmon tasting and it was delicious!!!! The sauce was mildly spicy. Just enough kick!! Perfect!! The scallops were in a beautiful presentation and the sweetness of the apple butter complimented the walnuts. The sticky ribs fall off the bone and the meat is greatly seasoned and has a crispy sweetness flavor when ripping the meat from the bone. I decided to order the pumpkin gnocchi and unfortunately it did not taste so goo. I kept getting a smoked flavor from the gnocchi but was hoping to taste the pumpkin and I tasted something else and can’t put my finger on it but I couldn’t finish it. So not so good dishes. We had the kabooki sushi. It was clean, packed tightly and sliced perfectly. We finished with the carrot cake and omg the ginger and orange zest ice cream was delicious and creamy. I left a happy gal and oh yea definately had my good old fashionsx2. #tryit

Quite possibly the best sushi I've ever eaten. A friend found Kabooki on Eater as a top restaurant experience, and I was in Orlando for a meeting. It seemed like a small risk to leave the Disney campus and take a long drive to a restaurant, but wow! The quality, presentation, and taste were outstanding. Our server was all-in, and her passion for the food made the experience even better. A great night.

Kabooki never ceases to impress me. From the quality of the seafood, plating, and attention to detail, my tastebuds are always satisfied. Not only does this apply to their main dishes, but to their desserts and crafted cocktails as well. Of course I couldn’t finish review without mentioning the wonderful service. The staff is friendly and educated on the menu. They’ll be happy to pair you with a plate that matches with your palate. Don’t forget to stop by the lounge next door after dinner!

For a date night this is a great place to go. They have a lounge to get small bites or drinks and the atmosphere there is excellent. In the dining area it's very modern and chic. Really enjoyed the teriyaki edamame and they had a seasonal pumpkin gnocchi as well. The rolls were unique and tasty. On the pricier side so prepare for that, but it's worth the cost for a nice night out.
