Overall, my experience at this restaurant was decent. The tapas sampler platter was okay, but I would probably opt for something else next time. The atmosphere was nice and cozy, but I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't get a window seat even though the restaurant was close to closing and not very busy. I understand the need to accommodate potential rush after we sat down, but as a former server myself, I would have tried to make the customer happy if possible. Despite this small hiccup, I still had a great experience and would consider returning in the future to try out some other menu items.

Wonderful food, fresh, friendly and the best homemade tzatziki EVER!! Btw- their menu also denotes all the items that contain gluten for us which are gluten free. A gem of a restaurant with friendly service.

Chicken skewers weren’t cooked entirely (we both had to spilt out the meat), and the service was very spotty. We were looking forward to a great meal before the theater. The restaurant does have a cute and romantic vibe though.

Had my birthday party here. Absolutely loved this place! We were a big party on Saturday night so we preordered, the manager was so helpful, answered all kinds of questions and helped us prepare. Staffs were great! Everyone was so nice and attentive. Tasty foods! I tried kofte and octopus, both so juicy and tender! Also love the vibe there. This is definitely the place for a memorable night. 💖

We have such a dearth of fondue restaurants in NYC (I know, right?) that I think people's expectations are just lowered. Kashkaval ain't all that. I'm tired so I'll keep this short. The Truffle Fondue lacked truffle flavor. The Assorted Veg & Fruit plate and Charcuterie plates both came with grapes, which was annoying, and cauliflower/broccoli that was way too big. Plus, the meat selection (roasted kielbasa, loukaniko and soujouk) left a lot to be desired (too similar and chewy). And don't bother with drinks--watered down nonsense.

My husband and I got married at City Hall and then had a small, intimate dinner for 11 afterwards at Kashkaval Garden. Leading up to the event, Jeremy was extremely responsive and helpful, answering all of our questions and being incredibly accommodating! On the night of the event, the space was beautiful, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff, led by Hayden were simply amazing - kind, efficient, and overall incredibly helpful. Our night could not have gone better, and I would definitely suggest Kashkaval Garden for your next event! Thank you all so much!

Went to Kashkaval Garden April 27, 2024 and had a good time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Overall, would rate it and the experience (4.5 out of 5). —————- Cozy restaurant with a good relaxed vibe. Ordered some tapas & meze (pick 4) got Hummus, Tzatziki, olive tapenade, and Harissa. A chicken skewer and classic fondue. Pick 4 notes: served with warm pitas that were fresh and tasty. Nice presentation, great for sharing. 1) Hummus was (4.8 out of 5) good, fresh, tasty, 2) Olive tapenade deep relish serving in the photo stole the show and we thought it was outstanding (5 out of 5) 3) Tzatziki (4.8 out of 5) nice consistency and tasty cucumbers were diced into small cubes which I liked and provided some extra texture and crunch 4) Harissa (2 out of 5) menu said home made and at least for my taste it was disappointing. It was served in a ramekin and was watery more like a soup, lacked taste, and had no spice or kick. If you enjoy thick, tasty, spicy Harissa steer clear of this. Classic Fondue was excellent (4.8 out of 5) served in cast iron - tasty and fun to share. Skewer (4 out of 5) chicken was seasoned well with a good savory spice combination. Ours skewer was a bit over cooked and slightly dry - but enjoyable. Rice was done well and while the vegetables were excellent. Shared a bottle of wine over the meal and had a very good time. Server was very attentive and very helpful. Really enjoyed this restaurant overall and look forward to visiting it again.

For the appetizer, we had the bell peppers stuffed with cream cheese and the puff pastry rolls filled with feta and spinach. The former could have been bought at the local supermarket for 2-3 dollars and would have been a better deal. The bell peppers were filled with the house's usual cream cheese, nothing special. However, eleven dollars is way too much for it, even the presentation was very sad. The puff pastry rolls were also very disappointing. More puff pastry than spinach or even cheese, of which there was virtually no taste. The puff pastry overwhelmed the entire dish, being much too thick. The tzatziki was also more than a disappointment, and I am firmly convinced that anyone who manages to stir quark with cucumber, a little bit of dill, and spices can do a better job. It was relatively tasteless, and the cucumbers were much too large. For the main course, we had skewers, once the chicken skewers and once the ham skewers with asparagus. The chicken skewers were immediately sent back as they were much too dry and barely edible because they were just too tough. The ham and asparagus skewers were not convincing either. The ham was much too thick and also extremely tough. Not to mention the sides. The bulgur was unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The vegetables were practically raw and absolutely bland. The service was okay, friendly, but not really attentive, and when we sent back half of the main course, saying it was simply inedible and the chicken was too tough, he just briefly apologized with a sorry, and that was it. Our feedback was not taken seriously at all. All in all, we have no idea how this restaurant has 4.5 stars.

Kashkaval Garden in Hell's Kitchen transcends mere dining; it's a captivating journey. Entering this cozy enclave feels like stepping into the warmly-lit abode of a dear friend, where the air is redolent with the enticing scent of melted cheese and the hum of conversation envelops you. The ambiance is enhanced by flickering candlelight dancing on exposed brick walls adorned with evocative Mediterranean artwork, whisking you away from the bustling streets of New York City. The menu is a testament to the region's culinary richness, offering a diverse selection of dishes crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients. However, it was the grape leaf-wrapped salmon from the skewers menu that truly captivated my palate. Picture succulent salmon, perfectly flaky and seasoned to perfection, ensconced in crispy, delicious grape leaves that impart a subtle earthy sweetness. Each bite is a symphony of textures and flavors. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply seeking a romantic evening out, Kashkaval Garden is an essential destination. Just remember to secure reservations in advance, as this hidden gem tends to fill up fast!

I was really hopeful for this spot; the space is really cozy and the ambiance is nice, especially in the back room. The staff was also really friendly. However, service was really, really slow, and everyone seemed a little discombobulated. (I got the sense maybe they were understaffed?) Again, would not be the worst thing - gave us a chance to chat - but unfortunately the food was pretty bad. I almost wonder if we got yesterday’s reheated leftovers. I got the strata from the brunch menu; both it and the potatoes it came with were lukewarm and kind of sadly soggy. I think the only one of our table who finished their meal was the guy who got the scrambled eggs dish. Really bummed since the menu looked amazing and there were so many positive reviews. Maybe it was just an off morning?

I was VERY disappointed in this experience. We dined here for brunch today. When we entered there was only one table occupied. We received our menus almost immediately but waited for 15 minutes before someone returned to take our order. We had simple orders of eggs and sausage and my eggs were cold, the sausage hard, and we waited 15 minutes for our meals. Both I and my friend left most of our food on our plates. We weren’t offered refills on our coffee or the water decanter. I put my salad bowl on top of my plate to indicate that I was finished and STILL had to ask for our plates to be cleared. I was disappointed that upon seeing how much food we both left on our plates the server didn’t ask us about our overall satisfaction with the food and/or our experience, both of which were subpar. Not a place I would visit again. Maybe they’re just having an off day. I don’t see how this place rates 4.5 stars.

We had the classic which was good - a bit sour/bitter and got roasted potatoes for dipping. I’d recommend getting sausage or potatoes to also dip in the cheese for some variety. The Kofte (lamb) and chicken skewers were good too, especially if you like Lamb. The chocolate fondue for dessert was a sweet ending to the meal. Outside of the fondue, the Mediterranean dishes were okay, nothing incredible. I've been coming to Kashkaval at least quarterly for the past year and a half for their prix fixe meal. It is one of my favorites in the City with a kale salad that I dream about, but I feel like every time I've come there has been less and less included. This includes the price going up on weekends, no more included dippings, and now everything but bread for the fondue (apples/sausage/veggies) now requiring an additional purchase. It's still really good, but not the excellent value that it was before. Have always had excellent service - until this last time, which was actually much less busy than usual. Hopefully the downhill slope has leveled off!

Fondue was meh - cheddar & cider cheese with caramelized onions was too sweet to enjoy with the bread. Tasted ok with the fruit & veggies - grapes, apple slices, cauliflower, broccoli, mushroom (mushrooms not great with the cheese) Service was a lil patronizing- asking how the fondue menu worked I could see the internal eye roll of the server who explained it like he was talking to a couple of toddlers.

My friend and I went there on a Saturday evening and they were willing to accommodate us even w/o a reservation. We decided to get 2 different cheeses- Gruyère and sheep’s milk cheese- they were both good. We also got extra veggies and fruits and roasted potatoes for dipping- which were all good. The potatoes were seasoned well and towards the end, we just nibbled on them. Our fondue turned off half way and staff was prompt on turning it back on for us. Overall, can’t wait to go back there!

Would be a 4 in any other town but 3 in NYC given so many better options out there in NYC.

Took the family here but this definitely feels more like a quiet date spot. Food was solid but forgettable. Server's demeanor shifted from friendly to snooty after a few questions about the menu. We wont be back. Overall 3 Food: 3 Value: 3 Service: 2 Misc: 3

Get the spinach and feta on flatbread. It’s really good. The cocktails especially the garden gimlet here are also spot on refreshing w a very spirit forward kick!

Really lovely wine menu and sampled lots of different foods including mezze, skewers, and halloumi. Sparkling wine was great and happy hour was solid. Would go again.

This spot was part of Hells Kitchen Food tour. All the samples were flavored and amazing. We had small plates of Tapas.
