Great service, great pricing, and super- fantastic food !

Such a bad felafel pita wrap! Travelled all the way from Monroe for this 🥲 the falafels tasted so off. We make better ones at home. 🤦🏽‍♀️ hummus was good though

Shocked and disappointed with the quality of what I was sold. Chicken Gyro, add mozzarella. Open faced, please. That’s my go to order. I have never been sold anything I’ve disliked from this location. Ever. Until this colossal disappointment. I removed the edible portion of the plate before I took the pic. This is literally 3/4 of the “chicken” I was given.

Incredible food and attentive staff. The feta dressing is life-changing.

Great service. The salad I ordered was not that good. Salad dressing was a packet of Kraft dressing. Should have ordered a gyro.

This place was busy but we managed to get a seat. Food was amazing and the server was great! We had just been driving through and happened to find this place. Will be eating here when we are driving through in the future.

Same table each time. Walk in and take a seat. None of that nonsense of waiting to be seated. I am a habitual offender of always getting the chicken gyro, cottage fries, feta dressing, and unsweet tea. It's my habit, and I own it. You just can't go wrong. Did I mention the service is fabulous?

I was traveling for work. My husband recommended this place from when he lived in Jackson. They were wonderful. I told them I wanted to bring food home (4hour drive) to my husband and the prepared everything and wrapped to that it would still be as fresh as possible when I arrived home. The food was amazing!! Love love love the feta dressing and that gyro was so good!! Everyone needs to experience this amazing place.. wish I had one here in Alabama!!!

Edit: we have always loved keifers and never had issues. I had given a 5 star before this. Our waiter was extremely nice. I did order the chicken gyro which is always good, but I'm not sure who was Managing today. Our meal was 70 dollars for 3 people and we did order 2 hummus, so maybe understandable and i gave a very good tip on top of that, but they brought dried grilled chicken that had like 3 bites of the chicken I didn't order. Anyone knows what I mean on difference on the shaved chicken that is basically Greek. I was fine with tha chicken but I didn't order bread for a meal and lettuce. Not sure if yall are trying to cut corners, but its nit right. I should have sent back, but I don't like to complain. I will change the stars when I go next time to see if it's like it was years ago. I really hate to have to do this and know it will be great next time Out of every gyro place they give u a decent amount of meat of the gyro. They are friendly and it is clean

Food is always hit or miss for me. Sometimes it's amazing. Other times I get horrible food poisoning. They have some great food for Mediterranean fiends though.

My wife and I use to love coming here to eat but we came in for dinner we picked our seats and a mouse run through the restaurant. We told the waiter he said I know I am going to get in now. The food came out it taste like it was cooked in old grease, the fries were so over cooked and hard you could not even bite into them.

Love this place. Courtney is a great cook. Shelby is super sweet and very accommodating.

Definitely a hidden gem! I had the mushroom appetizer in a classic gyro. Both were off the chain delicious! Great price point too.

Gyros are authentic and delicious, don’t recommend dessert was charged $6 for a very thin slice of cheesecake

There was a lunch crowd there, but we were waited on promptly. Food came fresh and was very good. Waitress was busy but attentive to us. I usually order to go but ate in. I enjoyed it

Edit- I went back and was a little disappointed with a couple things, i got a salad and the lettuce was pretty soggy and a good bit was wilted, also the baklava was not the best, it seemed like it was a little old and had been sitting out. They still have great gyros though. Keifer’s is by far my favorite greek restaurant! They have great gyros, and you cant go wrong with the pita feta. By far the best part of eating there is their feta sauce. It is so good i can eat their feta sauce on anything! They even sell it in bottles to take home. It it super busy but it is definitely worth waiting for. However their wait staff is so good that they can handle a full house.

Waitress was extremely nice and patient .,my gyro meat was overcooked and hard . upon checking out the cashiers were VERY unprofessional, they all were on a personal video call and not even paying attention to what they were doing while checking us out . I asked for a plastic bag 4 times , while being ignored

Chicken gyro is my go-to. I've been going there since 1995 and it has always been good.

I always get the Suvlaki and cottage fry with a small pitcher of beer and it's always good.

Best gyro i have had in this state. Service is always cheerful and quick.

Food is good kind of expensive though compared to other Greek restaurants in the area. Very crowded on a Sunday but enjoyed my time here

I love this quaint little restaurant. It's been around for probably 30 yrs if not longer. (I remember going here when I was only 13 which was 30 yrs ago!) The food is delicious and it's so much better than your normal fast food...the menu is full of all kinds of delicious dishes with fresh ingredients and everything is yummy. I love the atmosphere and the service is top notch! You receive your food within minutes of ordering it and the waitresses are always so friendly. Go check it out if you are in the area. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I've been going to Keifers since I was a teenager. I am now 57 years old. They are in a class of their own. Personality!

The food is delicious. It's not your normal fast food, but the food is cooked fast and delivered to your table hot! It's a quaint little restaurant located near Baptist Hospital and Milsaps College and if you are in the area, definitely give it a try. The food is not overpriced and the service is great. It's been in business for a long time so they have got it going on....the food, service, prices and atmosphere are all 5 stars!

Good hummus and pita, gyro was good, could have used a tad more tzatziki sauce, the souvlaki was good, too. They were medium busy, our server was efficient but forgot napkins, had to ask for them. All-in-all, average but good dining experience, would visit again

Not what I would call true Mediterranean food, rather it is HEAVILY Americanized...that being said it was good tasting. Our server was kind and attentive enough. The place could use a nice spring cleaning and updating.

Wow; what a discovery on our trip to Jackson and we will be back! Excellent selection of Mediterranean sandwich selections. Appetizers & main dishes are sure to please. Our food was served fresh and with a smile. Beer is cold with several selections on draft. Our waitress paid attention to our every need. A Must Visit Ya'll!

Food is good and decent, and wow, talk about efficient! It goes like this: 1) walk in, get a menu and find an open table, 2) server brings water, asks if ready to order, 3) brings appetizer and other extras ordered, 4) server brings food, usually a few minutes later AND leaves the check which you take up front when done. Love it. I wish more places did it this way.

Salad was made with pickled vegetables so not as fresh as I expected. Strange falafel. Staff very helpful, no the Mediterranean we are used to.

Been eating at Keifer's for many years and food is consistently good.

I ordered 2 gyros and 2 cottage fries through ASAP but only got 1 order of fries. Every time I order delivery with your restaurant my order is messed up. Your food is good but your attention to delivery orders is pitiful.

Food is great, service was ok, not great

The server brought food and drinks lighning fast, but it wasn't very good. Gyro meat was more like lamb patties than shaved, and the onions were raw.

The gyros are great! But I'm into the turkey melt even the day after Thanksgiving.

Service and food are always good. We always make a point of stopping by when we're in town.

Keifer’s is a Jackson staple! The menu is classic. The service is quick, mostly transactional, and get it done — but in the best way. The pita mozz is a classic go-to. I love the cottage fries (I like them the way the come, but you can request them fried extra-crispy). The wraps are all good — literally had most all of them. The Suvlaki, the Beef and Cheese, the Club — all favs. The grilled chick salad is also a frequent flyer for me. I love sitting outside in the Uni-block lawn chairs. It’s a nostalgic thing and just casual as can be.

I decided to eat here for dinner yesterday after getting off the road. I can't say the meal was bad just too much sauce on the wrap is my main complaint and how you don't have veggies is the main thing keeping from getting a better rating.

Good food! Fast service. Plenty of seating options, outdoors and indoors. The staff is very friendly.

Always a go-to when I come home to Jackson! For an appetizer, you can’t go wrong with the pita mozz. For entree I almost always get the souvlaki, but the cottage fries and a side of feta dressing are a must!

Wrong food for pickup and then would not answer phone...not the first time...just thought I would try again...either great or horrible, no consistency and they seem like they don't care

Our server (Connor?) was a delight, so friendly and lovely. I would give her 5*. However, the food was not good. We’re European and this is not Greek food as we know it. The falafel was sloppy and wet with no herbs in it. Like deep fried hummus. The hummus tasted a bit weird like it had cheese in it and the dolmas and pitta were fine but both come from a packet. When I paid the bill, without complaint about the food and with a good tip for Connor, the lady server was very rude, shoving my card and receipt at me and speaking under her breath. I felt very uncomfortable and couldn’t figure out how I had offended her. Not the Southern hospitality we’d grown accustomed to and we’d made a special stop here travelling up from New Orleans to Clarksdale.

This place definitely has a Mediterranean feel. The food was mouth watering. You definitely need to try this place if you're in Jackson, Mississippi.

FYI, you bring the check to the counter when you leave. This is also where you tip.

Consistently exceptional in all areas!

Had the grilled chicken salad with mushrooms added and the feta dressing. It was delightful. I also had their hummus which has a very tasty smoked flavor, also very good. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere is because it was freezing inside so bring a jacket if you plan to dine inside.

Parking is an issue at lunch. The noise level makes it nearly impossible to hold a conversation. Food is acceptable for the price. A decent option for a quick casual bite.

The honey mustard taste like Mayo! I was so bummed out. Please please please switch back to the old honey mustard. This new stuff is TRASH!

If you love Mediterranean food, Greek food, this is definitely the go to spot. It is set up inside a house setting. The seating is awesome. The kitchen is open they have options for to go, dine in or order ahead and take out. They serve beer. The service was spot on, and it seems like everyone here loves their job, and they were just overall pleasant.

It's a nice Greek spot to go to, and the food here is pretty solid. If you're looking to go somewhere for lunch with a couple of friends, or wanting to go to a Greek restaurant that isn't really pricey, this is the place to go.

Soooo bad. Yes, we were a large party (8), yes they were busy. However, we waited over an hour for our food which was basically sandwiches. The falafel were soggy inside and flavorless. They dont have a chili sauce available, the cottage fries were soggy and not salted, the hummus was chunky.....I have nothing good to say about anything we ordered. I guess the pita was soft 🤷‍♀️

The food and atmosphere were great, but the service was not. Got waited on quickly, and food came in a reasonable amount of time. However, our waitress had little to no personality and NEVER came back to check on us for any reason, even though we needed more drinks and such. Saw one table get up and get their own refills. Not cool no matter how busy the establishment. Other than that, we will be going again in the future.

AMAZING food and AMAZING atmosphere. the building is super pretty and the decorations it really gives the place a wonderful ambience. even the cups are pretty! and the napkins are thick and quality! the books on bookshelf are REAL! wow! the gyro is of course great and you can not go wrong with the cottage fries. they are a must. great place! i would go again! you will need a box though lol so you can go home and enjoy delicious leftovers. THE MAYOR WAS THERE SO IF ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM THEN

Food is consistently good. Waiters work their tails off during the lunch rush. It's noisy and busy at lunch, but it's because they are popular. My last salad was a bit soggy, but usually it's great.

The food was good, like always. They really need help with their service, though. Sat down for like 15-20 minutes with my group, and it took them that long to come take our order. Another 10-15 minutes go by without our drinks, so I get up and tell them "look I know you're busy, but can you please bring us our drinks?" They finally brought them and then ended up giving us extra food for making us wait so long. They need help BADLY.

This is a local staple. If I ever have anyone coming into town I always recommend this place. It’s just good food, good service, good atmosphere, outside and inside options, and a good time all together. The gyro’s are always overstuffed and the tzatziki sauce is spot on. Plenty of cottage fries per order and the salads are crisp. I’m a moderate eater and I typically cannot finish my plate unless I want to walk away miserably full. Food is typically prepared at order so always fresh! Keifers is always a consideration when suggesting eating out destinations. I highly recommend!

Quick and good food for a lunch time meal. I got the tea and a falafel gyro wrap. If don’t already like falafel, then maybe choose the plain gyro.

Horrible service. Had a large party on Father’s Day that left bc they were so rude. They told us we had to pay 1 check per table upon entry. Our waitress said we had to pay one check per party even if at different tables. She heard us talk about part of our group coming later and sitting at another table and became confrontational with me that they would be on our check too. I stated that they weren’t even there yet and would be sitting at a completely different table. She said it didn’t matter they were with us. How many restaurants are there in Jackson that has the ability to split checks and they can’t figure this out. We got up and left. We would have dealt with the check at our table but not dealing with rude servers and a restaurant that is that ridiculous. Too many other options. Too many restaurants going out of business right now to treat people that way also.

Food that I got was nothing special. Service was just okay.

It's been a mainstay for over 38 yrs.. it's always busy, and the menu is simple to understand.. the plank fries, and adding grilled mushrooms and onions are options recommended as well as grilled feta or mozzarella cheese on the pita.. my favorites are the original and / or Falafel with extra tziki and feta sauce. It's easy to describe all the menu items, but I'm sure no one wants to read a novella about my favorite restaurant in town.. we have family birthdays and other events. I'm biased because, once upon a time, I worked at the downtown restaurant..

What a disappointment. We originally saw positive ratings online and made a pit stop to grab carry out on a road trip. Not only did they give us a chicken salad when we ordered a chicken gyro, but the food so poorly packaged that it made the bag soggy. We also ordered a gyro salad and the lettuce and cucumbers in the salad looked like it was rotted. We paid nearly $70 and had to throw out the entire order because it was so inedible. Would absolutely NOT recommend stopping here.

A Jackson institution. Order the feta for EVERYTHING. Sit outside on the porch and grab a beer. I personally love the Pita Mozz, soup, grilled chicken and beef and cheese pitas, and always…the cottage fried potato, EXTRA crispy. They also have solid cheesecake and feta in-a-bottle to go, highly recommend 10/10.

Food is consistently good. The service is always fast. Highly recommend getting a combo of the beef and cheese wrap and add the suvlaki wrap with crispy cottage fries, no lettuce with a side of feta dressing. If you want something light, I recommend the turkey melt. The chicken gyro, light onions is good also.

My favorite place to sit outside and eat! Great speedy service even on lunch.. don't leave without the cheesecake! ..Mmmmm
