Awful experience dining here. Food was tasteless. We got an open-face steak sandwich and the scallop special. We asked for the steak to be medium-rare and it was dry and tough. The french bread it was on was burnt and hard, making it difficult to chew. The sandwich was dry, no sauce or gravy of any kind just a little bit of cheese on top. It was so dry and hard that it was difficult to eat. The fries it came with were more like chips, they crumbled in my mouth like they were triple fried. The scallops were tiny, the cheap frozen kind you would buy at a grocery store. They were not soft and tender like a scallop should be, they were rubbery. They were served with a side of zucchini and rice. The zucchini had no flavor and the tiny bit of rice was definitely old. It was easy to tell that it had been reheated (probably older than even one day). When the waitress asked how the food was, we told her not good and that the steak was dry and tasteless. All she said was "oh im sorry about that" and walked away. No follow up questions, no offer to perhaps get something else, and nothing was comped on the bill. So, what was the point of asking how the food was if you don't plan on doing anything about it? Basically she asked just as a formality. We were there at 7pm on a Friday night which is peak dinner time, yet the restaurant was empty. There were people sitting outside but we were only the second table inside and the indoors has a good amount of seating. This is unusual for a busy island in mid summer on a Friday night, and everywhere else we looked was slammed. I found that strange considering when I went to book the reservation, it only showed two tables available yet the entire place was empty. So either a bunch of people canceled last minute or they are messing with reservations to make it appear like its busier than it is. I took the time to write a long review because I don't want anyone else going here and feeling ripped off like I did. We walked in super excited and walked out feeling duped. Ended up going somewhere else after for food. The prices at this place are too high for the garbage they are serving. You are better off going elsewhere, even if you end up paying a tiny bit more at least you will enjoy your dinner. I highly doubt most locals are dining here and they seem to benefit from people vacationing on the island who will be one-and-done customers.

Seated within minutes of our reservation time on a busy Friday night. All staff friendly, hostess bartender busboy and waitress. Busboy had some recc's which we entertaining and fun. Went with seafood. All was fantastic fresh and prepared as requested. Strawberry layer cake with aperitif were fun. Sat outside under one of the beautiful old trees. Thank you for great service and food at the height of the busy season.

We ate inside and the atmosphere was pleasant. The bread was excellent- crunch on the outside and hardy on the inside. They pour a nice size glass of wine. My husband had steak aupoiuve and I had steak with Bernaise sauce. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. The grilled vegetables were done nicely.

This used to be my favorite restaurant on BI however my last time here was extremely disappointing. I had made a reservation via Open Table noting I have a shellfish allergy. When we reviewed the menu it noted certain seafood entrees could not be served to those with food allergies. I informed the waitress of my shellfish and she informed me I could not be served anything on the menu including chicken. Kimberly the owner also confirmed they could not serve me due to possible cross contamination in the kitchen. To make matters worse, she was very confrontational and made me feel very uncomfortable. Needless to say, we left and then had to find a place for dinner on a busy Sunday night! I have eaten at many restaurants and informed them of my food allergies and I’ve have never been treated this way. My guess is they must have been sued which prompted the strict no serve policy. So if you have any food allergies, stay away from this restaurant because they will not serve you! Needless to say, we will be going here again anytime soon :(

Perfect place. Can’t say enough good things. The owner, Kimberly, is awesome and does everything right.

Our first visit to Kimberly's will certainly not be our last. Everything about our visit was exceptional, from the warm greeting and conversation with the hostess, Ms Kimberly, to the wait staff, the generous pour of our wine glasses, the bread, salad, soup, and both entrees from the evening specials menu. My wife summed it up perfectly, saying, "This may be the best meal I've ever had." When you're in Block, don't miss Kimberly's.

Molly was an absolutely fantastic waitress! She took care of us very well. The food was great - definitely recommend checking this place out for dinner if you're on the island!

Hours posted seem to be wrong. We arrived at 8:27pm, and despite hours being posted as closing at 9pm, we were told the restaurant would be unable to seat/serve us. Incredibly disappointing. It’s reasonable to think if a restaurant is listed as closing at 9pm, that you’d be able to be seated for dinner before 8:30pm.

Delicious well-prepared food, good portions, fair prices, and our waitress, Katie, took very good care of us. We will be back again next month.

We have been coming to Kimberly’s every summer since the restaurant opened several years age. It’s consistently excellent with fresh, local seafood reasonably priced. Last night we had swordfish with a mango sauce and salmon with capers. For dessert we had an outstanding fresh peach cobbler (made by our server Katie!). Don’t miss coming here.

We dined at Kimberly’s based on trip advisor ratings, and our dining experience met and exceeded our expectations. My wife had the seafood Fra Diavalo and I had the bouillabaisse and both were outstanding. Our waitress, Bailey was delightful - engaging and attentive to our needs. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Several folks at the B&B we were staying at recommended Kimberley's so we thought we'd give it a try for dinner, even though we had arrived on Block Island late in the afternoon on Thursday ahead of the first busy weekend in June and had not made a reservation. Kimberley's was very accommodating and we had our choice of indoor and outdoor seating and we opted to dine outdoors, which was beautiful. Wife's Crispy Calamari and my Chilled Lobster Roll were both absolutely first rate. Perhaps the best thing about the dining experience was our server, Katie L. She was not only pleasant and efficient as a server, but also provided us with a wealth of recommendations and pointers for our weekend stay on Block Island. She was a fabulous ambassador, not only for Kimberley's, but for Block Island, as well. Kimberley's is a great place to enjoy a casual and relaxed, yet higher-end/upper-scale, dinner.

This was my first time dining at Kimberly's. My wife and I spent a couple of days on B I in the early fall, and wanted to try Kimberly's, which we had seen being very busy each time we went by in the summer. Not usually one to write a trip advisor review but could not gatekeep this place!! This was my first time on Block Island, such a lovely town! One of the locals told me I had to check out Kimberlys, and who am I to question a local!! OH. MY. GOSH. This place made my whole trip (maybe even my whole life? will keep you updated) The food? to die for!!! I highly recommend the chicken parm. I'm a little skeptical of eating anyone but my Nonna's chicken parm but decided to be a little crazy (lol!) and try theirs. SO SO GOOD. Despite the amazing food, I would have to say the best part of my visit to Kimberlys was the service. I had the most phenomenal server, Mark! He truly restored my faith in men. I will live the rest of my life trying to find someone who will measure up to him, but my heart breaks as I know there is no one. I would have proposed on the spot, but he was out of my league. Such a genuine, charismatic man! He was serving alright! (and I dont just mean food) So knowledgable about the island, had ton of recommendations for a first timer like me. (He suggested I go to disco night, and woo-wee I have not had that much since college! But I'll save that for a different review) If you're debating where to plan your next adventure, I hope this review entices you to choose Block Island just in the chance you may run into Mark. Based on the reviews, I was expecting better than average. The calamari was undercooked and dripping in gooey sweet sauce. Our steak sandwich and chicken parm (reportedly a specialty, which we ordered as a change from all the seafood we had been eating), was just average. Seemed like average diner food, to be honest. Not bad, but not special either.

I’m a foodie and I have to say I struggled with food on Block Island in general. The food here is good and they are willing to work with you if you are gluten or dairy free (but as the menu says they can’t work with seafood allergies). But the Chimichurri sauce that comes with the steak is NOT chimichurri as it’s white and creamy. Weird

I have been going to Block Island every summer for over 30 years now; this past week was the first time I've been to Kimberly's. I loved it so much, that I went one night and then back again three nights later. This place is a gem! The service was friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean, the decor is beautiful and comfortable, the available parking is a nice bonus. The star of the show is the food! The warm and crusty bread with garlicky olive oil they give you at the beginning of your meal is scrumptious. On my first visit, I got the chicken teriyaki potstickers appetizer; the potstickers were just the right amount of crispy, and the chili sauce they were served with was delicious; I liked these so much, that I got them again on my 2nd visit. On my first visit I had the Plain and Simple White Fish; don't let the name fool you, this fish dish was incredible! The fish was cooked perfectly - flaky and moist. The accompanying rice and vegetables were delicious. On my 2nd visit, I got the Miso Glazed Cod - literally the best fish I have ever had! And the accompanying basmati rice/roasted corn curry succotash, wow! I don't even have the words to describe how outstanding it is. I wish I could jar up that succotash because I would be thrilled to eat it every day! Amazing! I skipped dessert, but would like to try something on a future visit. We had Kimberly cater our wedding earlier this summer. Her and her staff couldn't have been better to work with. They were so accommodating to all of our culinary requests and even had creative ideas and 'fan favorites' that they recommended. They are clearly a well oiled machine when it comes to execution on the big day. They have everything under control and truly make it a worry-free experience. I have talked to many of our guests since the wedding and they are still talking about how delicious the appetizers and meal was (specifically the fried oysters and lamb lollipops). We would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a catering option for any sort of event!
