So the food is okay. But this place need a deep cleaning. It is so dusty in there. The art on the wall are full of dust. The tables and dusty and they also need better ventilation. I been coming to King Bao for a while and it seem like they don't care about dusting or cleaning. Also the drink/fountain machine needs to be clean. The management and the owner got to get this situation fix ASAP.

About a year or so ago, the food was pretty good. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone done tremendously, ventilation is absolutely terrible (burning eyes from the oil), and needs a good dusting of the interior of the building. It is extremely unfortunate for this establishment was my go-to spot for a good tasty and affordable bao.

I love the food flavors at King Bao. Very tasty Asian flare. The only complaint I have is that I can’t breathe inside the shop and my eyes always sting because of the hot smoky oil from all the frying - so hard to eat there. I have to get take out. They should ventilate better to get the smoky oil out of the ordering and dining area.

I haven't been to this King Bao in a few years and apparently they seem to be falling off in terms of their cleanliness. The fountain machine and area was totally sticky. Our drinks tasted awful which wasn't surprising based on the condition of the machine. The area near the utensils was dirty and quite dusty. Unfortunately, the food quality has depreciated as well; my Korean beef was completely overcooked and my crab cake based bao was edible, but did not contain a morsel of crab. The only item I had that was worth even discussing was the WTFish Bao which was tasty. I even got an order of Tatertots which was quite bland and unimaginative. For the price which is the only thing that appreciated, I was quite disappointed. I ended up ordering from my local Chinese restaurant on the way home which was much better and cost effective. Sadly, I won't be visiting this location again unless the cleanliness and food quality is restored to what it once was.

I recently visited King Bao Mills and was thoroughly impressed by their diverse selection of bao. My favorites were the spicy chicken and Cuban, both made to perfection. If you're looking for a great place to eat and happen upon this hidden gem, you won't be disappointed! Despite being a hole-in-the-wall, the staff is incredibly friendly. The steamed buns are delicious, and the fillings are the cherry on top. Prices are reasonable, but be warned—two baos won't be enough!

It’s a street food type restaurant. 4 tables only for seating and bar seating along the wall. Poor ventilation so expect to take the fried food smell with you. Sticky floors and lack of cleanliness distract from otherwise excellent food. Bottom line, Take out recommended over dine-in.

Walked in at 5pm on a Sunday. One person ahead of us and we only ordered 2 bao’s. Waited 13 minutes for our food while 4-5 employees talked in the kitchen cursing and eating full meals behind the counter (health risk). Place is covered in dust and really needs a good cleaning. Bummer as this used to be a go to for us.

King Bao's vibrant atmosphere and enticing menu initially promised a delightful culinary adventure. The concept of gourmet bao buns is intriguing, and the promise of exploring innovative flavor combinations sparked genuine excitement. However, upon closer inspection, the experience fell short of expectations. The menu, while concise, lacked depth and variety. While some may appreciate a streamlined selection, for those seeking a more expansive exploration of bao possibilities, King Bao felt somewhat limited. The initial visual appeal of the bao buns quickly faded upon tasting. While the presentation promised a flavor explosion, the fillings themselves fell flat. The meat fillings, particularly in the Hogzilla and Glen Rhee baos, lacked the depth and richness one would expect from "gourmet" offerings. They deviated significantly from the menu descriptions, leaving a sense of disappointment. The overall taste profile felt underwhelming, failing to deliver the exciting flavor combinations King Bao is known for. This inconsistency between presentation and taste was the most significant letdown of the entire experience. King Bao has the potential to be an Orlando gem. A more diverse menu offering bolder, more exciting flavor combinations would elevate the dining experience. Additionally, actively listening to and addressing customer concerns would demonstrate a commitment to culinary excellence. Ultimately, the success of any restaurant hinges on creating a memorable and satisfying experience for its patrons. While King Bao possesses an initial charm, the lack of flavor depth and responsiveness to feedback prevents it from reaching its full potential.

I never had a Bao bun before but wow! The food was great. A perfect snack to fill you up. The beef was my favorite. I would say to order to go or order ahead online like DoorDash. The only con is that the parking is trash, street parking, right at the main intersection of a busy road and the place is hard to find if you’re not from here. Also inside is very small and tight. The Baos were excellent though, definitely worth a try!

Read the reviews and this is a great choice for a quick, filling meal. Others describe the restaurant as a hole in the wall - accurate; we walked past it without noticing the sign. Retrace our steps and looked over the menu on the wall. Then used the kiosk- no interaction with the staff until they called my name. But even without interaction, I can say the staff knows how to cook: the food is great. Had the kicking chicken and the tofu and- since so many of the reviews said to try the tots, we did - tasty and rounded off the lunch. Next time I'm in Orlando, I'll return to King Bao Mills

King Bao was delicious. It was my first time having Bao. I loved the variety they offered. Upon entrance to the restaurant, there is a touch screen ordering "kiosk." You select what you want and pay, then once the order is ready, they call your name and you and free to enjoy!! There are more options at the kiosk for the Bao than there is on the wall menu. That was a pleasant surprise. I recommend trying the combo. You can select any 2 or 3 baos, and you get a drink with it. The combo doesn't include the sweet baos, just a heads up!

First time having a bao and I can say I'm officially hooked! I got the 2 bao combo and everything was made fresh and fast. My favorite was the Kickin Chicken 😋 My group really appreciated the unlimited drink refills after spending half the day out in the heat. I'm not local, but King Bao has definitely set the bar high and I hope any other bao places I come across are just as amazing! Seating is a little cramped but they maximized it as best as possible with 2 4-seater tables, 2 2-seaters and a bar along the wall with 5+ seats. Staff was consistently keeping tables clean/sweeping. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

COM-BAO: First time ever trying Bao & it was a cool experience. Definitely get the 2 or 3 piece combo Bao options if you’re hungry. The tater tots are good appetizers as well. Some of the Baos are hit or miss. But they may just not be for me & others probably love them. Like the Baja Avocado wasn’t for me, but the kickin chicken was my favorite. The steamed buns are super soft & the sauce here shines the most on whatever Bao you choose. The staff were awesome & gave us extra sauce when we asked. This is a clean spot. I liked that you order off an iPad & there’s more than 1 so it makes ordering more efficient. Pictures of what you’re ordering too with prices on the iPad. Only negative is the street parking kinda sucks.

The baos were a 3/5 for me, but I’m knocking off an additional star because the three bao combo that I ordered ended up being more expensive than if I had ordered the three baos individually. I knew there was a surcharge for seafood baos, but the surcharge shouldn’t make the combo more expensive than ordering individually. There’s no customer support email, so if anyone from the staff sees this, I would appreciate some help in rectifying the situation. In terms of the food, the baos were drenched in sauce, which made them not enjoyable because I couldn’t taste the actual protein. The sauce was also messy to eat and made the crispy coating soggy. I also didn’t like how thick the baos were. Overall, I’m disappointed because the menu looked promising.

Edit: TLDR - ITS TERRIBLE NOW. prices wet up, quality went way down, and the tables were filthy and dusty, and the customer service was non-existent. INCREDIBLY DISSAPOINTED. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND. ----- Previous review Walked in here on a hungry whim and was entranced by the smell coming from this place. I had 3 baos and that's a good amount for a substantial meal. You can get 3 baos just for 9 dollars which is great for the amount of flavor in these. I had the hogzilla, the shrimp one and the Korean short rib one. My lunch mate had the same and also the tofu one. Honestly, I thought all three that I got were phenomenal and would come here again to try the others . The tofu one was so, so but I'm not a huge fan of tofu it's usually quite bland for me. Very casual and can get busy around lunch time so be ready to share some space! ------ Current review I was in the downtown are and decided to stop in to one of my favorite spots. I was so excited because I have my perfect Trifecta of baos. I went un last weekend and OMG. IT was awful. From the customer service, ti the cleanliness if the tables, to the food. I ordered the Coco Loco, the hogzilla, and the Glenn Rhee. The Coco loca has 1 singular tiny shrimp, and a little bitnof Mango slaw. SEVERELY disappointed in the portion size but flavor was still there. Moving in to the Glen Rhee. Lots of meat, dry dry dry meat. And then the hogzilla one of my favorite things in the world. They replaced it with pulled pork which was so dry. It wasn't even pork belly, they have changed it! It used to be the most beautiful braised peice of pork belly in a succulent sweet and salty sauce. It was Divine. And now. It's way mor expensive, the quality is down, the restuaruant is now as clean ( I had the wipe dust/ debris off the table and I was the first one in. Super disappointed. I will no longer be coming here, it's a shame.

A real bummer because this was one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando editing from a 5 star. The portions have gotten tiny. The hogzilla just has braised pork and no longer has the thickcut pork belly even though the menu still describes it that way, was very dry. Coco Loco shrimp bao has literally 1 small shrimp that they upcharge for. Glen Rhee bao was very dry. Tater tots were still good. Meal for 2 was $32 both still hungry. So glad my dad found this place on Google during our stop into Orlando today. It was excellent and has us wishing for a similar place in Gainesville. I had the baja avocado and mr potato head(absolutely delicious vegetarian options!). My dad had the hogzilla, glen rhee, and cuban. It was so good. I wish I had taken pics before we devoured our food because the presentation was great. Staff was very friendly, service was fast, and food was hot and fresh. Music was quiet background reggae, which didn't seem unfit for the restauraunt despite what other reviewers stated. This is a fun fusion restaurant, not authentic asian cuisine only, so seems perfectly fine. Great deal on a nice lunch in a cute little place with funky art.

Now, the buns are great, I tried the Cuban, the Kickin Chicken, and one other flavor as well as the Kimchi tots and Nutella bao bun. The food is good but, The place is quite dirty and is primarily take out. The good reviews come from delivery services and not dine in at all. The walls are now all painted black, and it feels like either the owner, manager, staff or all just gave up when it comes to pride and cleanliness. The staff had metal music playing, which is confusing in an Asian inspired cuisine. People come for good food, cleanliness and culture. The photos show a clean, bright location, and it's quite the opposite. If you have not been there, please go take a look, and maybe it would help to mention these things, but sadly I doubt it. There is another location, and we will try that one in the future. My advice is, close the store for a week. Clean it from top to bottom. New manager for sure and start fresh. It will triple its current business. The food is great, but the bad smell, culture change and lack of care for the rest is concerning. You're losing business daily. I hope they take this advice. I have trained some of the best in the business and my advice is worth more than diamonds

Excellent bao at a very good price. Cool little place. Staff were really professional and also very nice. Highly recommended. I'd never really got what the fuss was about with bao bun - IKR. But after King Bao, I get it. We loved: Hogzilla; firecracker shrimp; fried fish; oyster; fried chicken.

Tiny hole in wall joint serving inventive and mega delish Bao. Totally yummy.

I just wanted to say no issues with the food or pricing. I got the 3 bao combo with the Cuban, oyster, and hogzilla and they were really good. My only complaint was the customer service. They weren’t outright rude but more uninterested. I would like to see the staff overall be more friendly to customers when they walk in and greet them. It is kind of awkward and off putting coming in never been here before and the staff doesn’t give any sort of guidance or help.

I love this place so much. The baos are PERFECT and very flavorful. They have so many good veggie options as well. The prices are amazingly fair which makes it taste 10x better in my opinion. Definitely recommend!

The food is delicious. The place is small but with character. The service not that great. The communication is very poor, as you don’t know if you are supposed to order on the monitor they have, since they are taking orders in person too. So you will stay in line waiting, when is your turn, they arbitrarily can simple say: order with the screen. Maybe you can say it as you are watching as wait in line? Other than that the food is very good and the prices are reasonable

I am unable to understand the hype about this place: might be a great place for folks who don’t care about cleanliness, food quality or breathing air. The food weren’t as good as the other reviews claimed. The tots were dripping oil. Baos were bland. Staff, umm were friendly to others but then it appeared they were their friends. The whole place oozes friend smell ! The jacket I wore to the place smells like it was fried in the 100 times used oil ! Parking is an issue and the place has no visible signs so locating it in the evening is another pain. I wouldn’t recommend. Especially considering how many other good places are around this one.

Amazing Bao fast service place. We were quite reluctant to enter, outside looks like dark and not inviting. Once inside we were excited. From self ordering (pretty cool) to high quality and super tasteful Baos at affordable prices. I was planning to take pictures but the food smelled sooooo good that I dig in without saving for eternity. I wish there were more tables and parking was easy (only street parking) but it is really worth to go. I will come back multiple times.

The baos themself are nice but the toppings just weren’t particularly good. The flavor profile of each one was very one note and none of the meats were heavily seasoned. As a quick snack it’s not bad though and fairly affordable.

This place solid. I ordered da porkzilla bao and it tasted pretty unseasoned, but nothing cant be fixed with hot sauce! In all seriousness the food is okay but there is definitely better bao

You have to get the firecracker shrimp, hogzilla, kicking chicken, and the lobster roll.... the tots with the pulled pork and nacho cheese are also excellent.

Excellent food and attention! You can't stop trying the desserts! Neither the pizzas nor the pastas, so don't stop trying anything! Everything is divine!
