My husband and I sat with 2 other random people at the grills and we were charged their 15% service fee... their policy is when 5 OR MORE are at a table there will be this fee. Why are we being charged when there's 2 groups of 2 people?? Service was pretty slow as well. Don't recommend Kobe's.

It's a decent place. Food was good. Service was great.

Peaceful, calm atmosphere; excellent staff, excellent food! The only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars is the place is a little run down, the womens restroom needs some work, just needs an overall freshening. Food and chefs---outstanding!

Quality:price ratio here is off the charts. I just wish they had GrubHub so I could get delivery rather than walking here to get take out

Everything was awesome. Would never expect to find such great sushi in North Dakota but it was all fantastic, and cheap!

Coming from Florida I was hesitant about sushi up here, but this place nailed it! Also the 1/2 price rolls are amazing!! I would love if they had some otoro and Uni, but I understand the complexities in shipping such items in the Midwest.

My girlfriend said she can't stand sushi and brought her here to change her mind. Now she wants to come here two-three times a week. 🙄 Priced great, love the shows they put on. The koi pond and aesthetic is to die for, and the place isn't so busy that you have to wait. Love it.

Got their half price rolls today and they were so good. Also tried their pork dumplings (gyoza) they were gone so fast! Definitely a great place for lunch. We have tried their hibachi as well and it was very good and the chef was entertaining. Cocktails are made well. Recommend the Crazy roll 😋

The people who work here are extremely lazy. If you close at 1030pm why are you shutting the grills off at 8pm especially on the weekends.

first timer here! 25 of us came in on our lunch break and we're greeted with kindness. everybody made sure we were well taken cared of. the chefs for the hibachi were pure entertainment and made delicious food.

Come here for their hibachi and did not disappoint. They have variety of sushi (at half price if you come lunch time, I think?) which is very good. Very friendly staff and atmosphere is nice. Will come back again

Food was ok. Price was good for teppanyaki. Our chef was great. The kids really enjoyed it. The half-price sushi rolls were a good deal. We were only a party of four, and an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. So keep that in mind when you tip.

Over the past few years we’ve really enjoyed Kobe’s. The food is always good and it’s entertaining! It could use some updating and a deep clean in my opinion though. Still enjoy it though!

Food was excellent, our first server was excellent, but because we came about an hour before close, we were rushed out. We were told we could stay for a few minutes and take our time. then the next gentleman came over about 5 mins later and asked us to leave. Overall pretty decent experience.

Food was good, little blah, service and atmosphere, great, Hockey boys at a great time.

So my girlfriend went out here again. We have many times and have always had a good experience! This time we went out and wanted to sit at the hibachi... the wait wasn't long and turns out we were surprised guests at someone's birthday party! They got to know us, we got to know them, we laughed, there was fire and rice everywhere. Magic. Definitely will be back!

Great food but they are very bad at math for their 1/2 price menu... It's half plus 1-2 dollars per item $14.50 divided by 2 is $7.25 yet they charge $8.25 on their half price menu.

Very well customer service, only had to wait 5-10 for my food. The chef was really entertaining to watch and made sure we had a wonderful day and awesome experience. Will be back again. High recommended this place.

Wonderful service and atmosphere

Very good experience, price isn't too bad. Got an appetizer (teriyaki chicken yakatori), a half price sushi roll, one tall strawberry mojito, and two of the combination teppanyaki/hibachi for about $100 even. I like that they include a service charge to pay the chef. Their complimentary mushroom soup is amazing, I got two servings. I had steak and shrimp with fried rice. I'm a bit sad they no longer have buffet.

The fish pond is really cool! The servers are great, and the food is served quickly. The crab rolls aren't as flavorful as they used to be. They're still worth ordering, but they used to be amazing. (That's what I always order because they were so good.) I'm not sure exactly what's different, but they were bland. I'll try them again another day.

Went for a birthday and the absolute worst service ever, felt as if we were completely invisible. Sushi was good, shrimp fried rice -sheimp was way over cooked. Not sure it would be worth tring again.

Look, I’ve been to lots of hibachi joints. The food wasn’t bad, but you go to these places for the experience and let me tell you the chef was terrible. I should’ve went to Benihana’s.

Shrimp was overcooked. Hard to chew. Sat at flat top. Expextations a little too high for experience we received. About 10 minutes of utensil banging, squirt of saki in mouths around table. Rice prepared first. Proceeded to wait approximately 20 minutes or more for protein and another for veggies. Top shelf tea was very good. Scallops were very good and so was sushi. Staff very friendly.

The service charge is overkill. Plan on adding ~$20+ to your final bill. Gave a cash tip to the hibachi chef because he was great and frankly the chicken teppenyaki is amazing. I was surprised to have an additional $25 "service charge" for 2 adults and 3 young kids.

Service was great. Good atmosphere. Sushi was flavorless. For these suhsi lovers, it will be a hard sell next time.

I'm about an hour from kobes I live in MN but every time I'm in fargo I go to kobes, I have never had a bad experience sitting down just eating sushi or sitting at the tepanyaki grill and enjoying the show, it's my favorite sushi restaurant in fargo ND

Mushroom soup tasted like hot water, lobster was way way over cooked almost couldn't eat it, fried rice was literally white rice and pepper.

My husband love the food. He had steak with rice. I had lunch box. I like my food so. My husband had Philadelphia rolls but I think looks not really good for rolls. But everything is really good. The waitress is really nice. We like him and food comes really quick than we think in restaurant

The worst Yaki Soba I have had in my life. They just threw in a few chunks of overcooked beef, no seasoning. Oh, yeah, and all the seasoning was clumped up in one corner. This is bad. Please at least don’t call it Yaki Soba.

Great hibachi place, huge portions, good food, different than others I've been to before. Not the most flashy hibachi style place you can visit but the cooks are great and still entertaining. Actual, live Koi pond is a beautiful touch I haven't seen elsewhere. King Crab Crunch Roll is a fantastic roll. And what I at first thought was garlic, was actually peanuts, which added a unique flavor to the noodles in particular. If you're around I'd definitely give it a shot.

Took the grandbabies and they loved the show!!!! Was our 2nd time there and will be back again.

Pretty solid spot! Food was alright but for the price definitely worth it!

Heard nothing but good about this place and it was terrible. Won't be going back. It was just me and my son. Took 20 minutes to get a drink and another 20 to order food, after asking multiple times if we can order. Server was not in a good mood and acted annoyed at everything. Fried sushi was soggy and cold.

The hibachi chef is our favorite. Always entertaining.

I'm not a huge sushi fan, but all the food I tried was delicious! When they brought the rolls out to us (we got 7 of them) they were beautifully displayed, and our server was able to tell us what each roll was. I loved the food and the service was quick and willing to cater to our needs.

Never have had a problem and the food has always been great.

Our first time at the grill, the chef was really nice and entertaining but he used way too much oil on everything, it made the food taste rancid and oily and too much liquid in the rice making it soggy. I ordered the shrimp and only got 6 pieces, my husbands food as well as mine had hard small hard pieces like shells in it. I also didn’t like how long it took to get all your food plated, shrimp was cold by the time I got my rice and veggies. I thought it was over priced and not worth it. We spent over $100 for the two of us and we didn’t finish any of our food or want to take it home. We can say we experienced it but won’t be back.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in the area, but I think the pandemic got this place kind of hard and it's been tough for them to bounce back. The food is still really really good, but depending on the chef you get at the tepenyaki grill your food could get overcooked (or undercooked). This is still such a fun atmosphere that gets everyone at the table involved.

My Husband and I got sick after eating here. We orderd sushi and it did not taste fresh. The rice was dried out and the fish tasted like it was going bad. We spent the entire next day sick.

Policies on who can order the kid size. This is an archaic practice as it is not about age but rather portion sizes.

There were four of us and we were seated at the grill with eight other people that we didn’t know. I don’t enjoy eating with people I don’t know. Our reservation was for 6 pm we sat until 6:20 waiting fir service and others to be seated Very small portions due to 12 people at the grill and the grill next to us had 2 people. Hmmm. I ordered scallops and only got three the guy didn’t say anything but you could tell he was missing one that was on the grill earlier and placed on another plate with shrimp. We had a service charge on our bill for and extra 22 dollars. Probably not going back anytime soon

We did the dine-in half price sushi/rolls, and the service was incredibly fast and accommodating, the food was so fresh and delicious, and watching the hibachi grill service was entertaining!

First experience was a great experience.

Attempted to dine here last nite. When we asked, our party of four, was told there was NO wait. We WAITED for a seat. Once seated at the grill, we WAITED. Eventually an employee asked us to move to seats on the other side of grill. We moved and WAITED. Along came another employee and told us we needed to move to differant seats because they wanted to fill all seats @ grill. We left. Apparently they did not want to serve us. Loud, stinky, dirty place anyway. I remember it being kind of a nice restraunt the last time I was there. What happened?

We attended a birthday party here and always love the food. My only complaint is the cleanliness. As you enter the restaurant, there are enclosed shelves with japenese decor. This is one's first impression and the shelves are thick with dust. We were the first that day to eat at our grill and it was bothersome to see food along the side of the grill from the night before (see picture). I've always been grossed out by the women's bathroom there. It needs not only a deep cleaning, it needs to be freshened up with paint, etc. If the bathrooms are dirty it makes me concerned about what the kitchen looks like. Like I said...the food here Is always awesome which is the only reason we return.

We like the dine in specials and excitement of the hibachi grill...$2-3 veggie rolls?! $6 specialty rolls? Perfect for a quick lunch stop. We also like that as long as your bill is over $20 on your birthday, you get a $15 gift card with the tempura ice cream! Other than that, expect relatively slower service with very mediocre rolls. Very friendly service though, with short waits during the day and a very long waitlist during dinner on the weekends. They do accept reservations which is strongly recommend, especially if you want to sit at the grill where they take and spray sake in your mouth while they're doing their doing their cool flipping and grilling tricks. Daily specials, except on Saturdays, and a lot of different types of seating. Decent drinks, even if sometimes they show up after you've gotten your meal. Great place for vegan food as well :D

Absolutely disgusting, this place fakes Kobe's name to deceive people, our servor was awesome, but 10 minutes after we ate we both throw up to not to get sick, the COOK if you may call!!!! Is the worst person to prepare food let alone call it JAPANESE. We returned yakitori that was really YAKIIII, rice was a nice musty plaster, if they have respect for Chinese food then stick with it, YOU'RE NOT A JAPANESE COOK

Excellent sushi and the prices are great. We love sitting at the grill as a special family night. Entertaining and delicious! Excellent service. The server was on top of it all and made sure to keep gluten free items seperate from gluten items. Much appreciated!

I ordered the Yakisoba, salmon roll and Yakitori. I've been to Japan in the past and tried all these dishes there before visiting this restaurant so going in, my standards were already high. With that said, it wouldn't be fair to judge it solely based on that, I'll give them a 3 star for an ok attempt at Japanese cuisine. The yakisoba was ok for my taste, a bit dry but ok. The salmon rolls was good but you really can't mess that up lol. And the yakitori weren't grilled? Usually yakitori is grilled but the taste was ok. Chicken was a bit dry but the sauce gave it good flavor. So, if you're like me and wanted to feel like you were eating cuisine straight from Japan, don't come here. I was disappointed from that aspect but, if you just wanna try something new then this place is an ok option. A couple of other notes would be the staff was very friendly and its a little bit on the expensive side. Be prepared to spend at least a minimum of $12 - 20 for a meal

Had steak & shrimp meal. Steak tough while rest of meal very good. Had susi for first time. Not impressed with that.
