Food was not good at all. Teriyaki chicken was really plain and the vegetables didn't taste like they were seasoned at all. The servers were not friendly. Not a good dining experience and would not recommend.

My girlfriend and I went to Koriente for dinner and it was delicious, affordable, and healthy. Our meal came with free miso soup (you can get as much as you want) and we each got a tea. Both teas were great, I loved the iced jasmine tea. I ordered the Koriente curry and my girlfriend got the Obake bowl (B). Both portions were very large! My curry was outstanding, it was very flavorful and I especially loved the huge chunks of potato in the curry. My girlfriend’s Obake bowl came with rice medallions, veg, and chicken. We both loved the flavor of the Obake bowl and the texture of the rice medallions was awesome. We split a smoked salmon roll and loved it as well. Overall, our food was filling and very tasty, and it all seemed pretty healthy! The staff was great and I highly recommend Koriente!

We came here because the reviews boasted cheap but high quality food. The food isn’t bad, but it is not cheap by any means. Gravely disappointed by the bubble tea, which was watery. The steamed veggies could use a little salt or spices cause it was just straight up steamed veggies, but I didn’t take any stars off for that. Just took one star off for the price and parking, and the other for the boba. The service was nice and friendly, the bathrooms clean, the restaurant quirky and neat, and the atmosphere was overall great.

Great food at an affordable price, especially for being downtown. Will definitely be coming back.

Visited yesterday for lunch - such an awesome find: cute vibes, yummy food, lightning fast service! Usually struggle to find good Korean food as a vegetarian, but got the Japchae, Shitake Tofu and Kimchi - all vegetarian, all delicious. Huge portions too, making it pretty affordable. Also liked that they have free vegan miso soup to self-serve. Would definitely recommend!

Helpful & friendly staff. The smell alone in the place was enticing. I enjoyed my food and the space itself is very cute and welcoming. I sat outside on their patio which is a good size. Filling portions! Oh and there is free miso soup next to the free water station. Love that.

This is the best hidden gem downtown. Absolutely delightful staff. The realest, down to earth hole-in-the-wall with top notch food. The kind of place that feels like home.

I ordered the Koriente Curry (option a) and my friend ordered Obake Bowl with extra shrimp, rice substituted with half noodle/half brown rice, as well as a side of teriyaki chicken. I like that you can replace the rice or noodles with veggies and that it’s not greasy at all unlike so many Asian restaurants in the US. * changed to 5 stars because the curry is incredible even on a second serving on a different day!!

We were playing the venue across the road and the rep recommended this place. We had been struggling to get a healthy meal on the road - this place did not disappoint! The food was amazing and the staff were friendly. If we’re ever back in Austin this will be our go to for good food The food portions were very good as well

Really great Asian restaurant with a variety of delicious options, including many that are vegetarian or vegan. They have six parking spots available for customers too. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend the shiitake mushroom bowl with vegan kimchi and miso soup!

Stopped by because I was in the area and had never heard of the place. Was honest with staff who aggressively shoved a menu at me that my first priority was to use the bathroom. Was promptly told "for paying customers only". I get it, but it was really off putting. This was not even a busy time for this restaurant/part of Austin. There was plenty of open seating. I honestly think the guy up front just saw I wasn't white and assumed I was homeless. Pitiful a native Austinite can't even bother to wander aimlessly in their own town. Guy was kind of rude too when I asked if he was the owner. "Long time manager" he said with a super fake smile. Sad the owner is supposedly Korean yet there were no Asian people visible- workers or customers. Got an iced coffee and dipped 🙄 And to top it off, all on a day I just found out my mom has to be placed on hospice. People out there be nice- you never know what others are going through.

Very cozy! Visiting Austin for the first time and its down to earth, peaceful atmosphere drew me in. Astonishingly fresh and flavourful with quick and friendly service from wonderful eccentric staff. I got the miso-braised mahi-mahi which I highly recommend!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Lovely people, great healthy food with generous portions. They didn’t even charge me for an extra drink I asked for (used a bit too much hot sauce but it was worth it). I had the miso soup, seared tuna bowl and kimchi. Highly recommended you seek out this place.

The best part of my experience was the big portion size. Many options for healthy meals, and very quick service. I ordered the Japchei, and the taste was decent, maybe a bit plain. Half of an avocado is not worth the $2 add-on. They are very open to modifications. The outdoor seating area is really cozy and hidden from the main road. Order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place.

Koriente provides a product that looks and tastes like it came from a very upscale restaurant. The staff is always helpful with recommendations and suggestions. The bowls that I have had from them have been flavor packed, fairly large in size, and very feeling. They offer an amazing drink selection also. The establishment is fairly small on the inside and reminds me of restaurants you see in Asian countries with the decor selection. After eating at Koriente, I always feel like I did my body a huge favor by giving it something really healthy. The parking lot can be a little sketchy at night, and you do have to pay for parking. Koriente is a must try if you are a fan of Asian cuisine.

Vegan friendly meals and boba tea

Excellent quality and great value. I was staying nearby and wanted to eat something late -ish on the evening that was fresh and healthy after doing "grand and go" fast food for a few days. I went with the Mixmix Bibimbap (steamed rice in a ring of fresh julienned veggies: carrots, cucumbers, cabbage, red cabbage, red bell peppers, and organic baby greens. served with your choice of red pepper paste or mild wasabi soy sauce) and added toasted garlic and sashimi grade spicy tuna and it was delicious! It was fast, presented really nicely and the portion size was perfect too. Friendly and knowledgable staff too. Forgot to get a receipt for my expenses when I ordered (my bad!) but they too care of it as soon as I mentioned it. Highly recommended!

Four people got four separate meals and we all got upset stomachs/food poisoning. Not sure what happened because I’ve eaten here before with no issues

Homey, low key, legit eats. Don’t sleep on this place - spicy chicken, ahi tuna, summer rolls were all great - loved getting to try their new (maybe here to stay?) kimchi. The story on the wall entering the back set the tone for a great meal.

Visited on a Friday evening but got a table to dine in within a few minutes. Ordered the Japchae and Spicy Chicken entree dishes and they were both excellent. They have the option to make the dishes spicy and I'd recommend trying that out. Ambience and service gave out the good downtown Austin vibes.

The mission of Koriente is to use Asian flavours with good seasoning and light fats, which allows for actual vegetables, proteins and noodles to shine. A filling meal that didn't make me feel heavy afterwards. Good vegan options. Service was prompt but abrupt and aloof. Small place, outdoor seating under a veranda.

Everything we tried was delicious. Working out the ordering system was interesting but the learning curve was steep. Friendly staff. The Miso spoup with a Dumpling was awesome. The Obake bowl with Tofu & rice medallions was delicious. We also had the Teriyaki chicken and the regular Obake bowl. We will be back.

Fantastic find! The vegetarian bowls at this cafe are a true delight. Each bowl is packed with fresh, vibrant ingredients and bursting with flavor. A perfect spot for a healthy and satisfying meal!

I'd never had rice medallions before, but they were amazing. I had the abake bowl B with pork belly and really enjoyed it; if you're very sensitive to spicy food, you should know that mild isn't going to equal an absence of spice altogether (although it's very good)!

Great place for a quick, affordable meal with quality ingredients that will leave you craving more! The atmosphere/ambiance wasnt anything to write home about (it wouldnt be any kind of centerpoint for a date, for examole) but this is a great spot for a launchpad to start a night out. I will be back next time im in the neighborhood!

Consistent, great value, healthy, and delicious. A very rare combination that has made Koriente one of my favorites in Austin for years. Their food isn’t overloaded with salt or sugar like many others. The portion size of protein and vegetables is good, and you can add extra if you want. My favorites are the koriente curry a and the spicy chicken with sweet potato noodles and a fried egg on top. I love food from restaurants that you can eat every day and feel good when you’re done. I highly recommend Koriente if you do too.

This is a sub-par flavorless food place for non-foodies. Dirty place with dirty tables near highway. Pass a ton of hobos on the way. Appetizers and food served in cheap containers and plastic spoons! Bowl was a real bowl that's it (wow). No alcohol offered. Absolutely no spice sauces offered only packaged soy sauce. The chicken was tasteless, rice was tasteless, seemed like boiled chicken served on a bowl. Veggies overcooked and flavorless. It was awful. It's warmed up flavorless food. If you're a foodie and enjoy flavor and taste this is NOT the place to go. I am shocked by the good reviews. 3 of us spent $80 bucks for food you can get at a cheap Panda express. Actually, Panda is better which says a lot.

I’m very confused by the ratings of this restaurant. I had high expectations. First, the good… The noodles were actually tasty. Now for the WHOLE TRUTH. The teriyaki “chicken” was highly suspect and did not taste like it came from a winged animal (if you know what I mean…). It lacked flavor and required A LOT of doctoring up. Even still, I could not get past the odd texture. The service was mediocre at best. Judging by the appearance of the staff, I can’t help but conclude that the selection came down to who deserved a “second chance at life” if you know what I mean….(insert raised eyebrow emoji) LOL! I won’t be back.

Overall I would recommend this place if you’re visiting Austin. I had the ahi tuna and my son the teriyaki. My husband had the curry and wasn’t a fan but it’s because he’s not a fan of curry LOL.

The food here is delicious. I was in Austin for a conference, recently, and this restaurant was within walking distance of the convention center. I had the Pan-Seared Ahi Tuna (cooked medium at an employee's suggestion even though I normally eat it rare), miso soup, and peach ginger tea. They give great portions and the food was delicious (I didn't take a picture before I dug in, unfortunately). I was also eyeing the Lemon Pepper Papaya salad, so I decided to go back again the next day. That was my absolute favorite and I added salmon to make it more filling. The restaurant is quaint with indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of the city. The service was great and they gave me a complimentary miso soup the next day, I assume because I either came back two days in a row or because I brought new folks with me the second time. Either way, it was appreciated. If I'm ever in Austin again, I will definitely be back.

Really good food, friendly staff and a clean and nice but casual atmosphere. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience but a couple small things kept it from being 5 stars. For one, when dining in the food is still mostly served in to-go containers and second, the rice was not rinsed before cooking so it was clumpy and which is a shame because they have really good rice.

Absolutely NOT! I came here with two other people and we all got so sick within minutes of eating here. The meat was dry, and the food was overly salty, I couldn’t even finish my food. My wife who is vegan was sick for an entire day. I really believe cross contamination was involved, but I cannot say for sure. Also, in the brutal Texas heat, there is no indoor seating. I do not recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a good meal. I do recommend it for those with low blood pressure, as the amount of salt will surly fix that for you.

Where to begin... My niece and her wife are in town, so figured I would show them around Austin. My nieces wife is vegan, so we always try to find a restaurant that serves vegan dishes and regular. We found this place and we all found something that we could eat. We drive 1 hour to get to Austin and arrive as this restaurant. If was alittle different (no inside seating, clean your own table, etc), but I'm not going to knock it for that. What I am going to knock it for is the horrible food they served. The meat was horribly dry on all our dishes. I ate a few bites and had to throw it away. My niece at a little more on her dish and threw it away. Her wife at ALOT of her dish, but she refuses to waste. About 10-15 minutes after eating there, all of us got sick. Lucky for me, I get over sickness real quick, but my nieces wife does not. She was sick the rest of the night and the next day. I DO NOT recommend eating at this place unless you like dry food and stomach illness. Stay away.

I walked here and was excited to try their food, however, they aren't doing indoor dining. The outside temperature was 101 degrees and the outside patio would not have been nice to sit at, it also didn't appear to be the safest area. I am very disappointed they did not allow people to sit inside.

I come here all the time. Well, I get delivery from here all the time. The Obake bowl A with a fried egg is my go to. They used to have spring rolls with a peanut sauce that I would’ve sold my first born for, but idk if they have it anymore. I can always find new stuff on the menu that’s amazing though. I felt that the dishes were worth the piece and they were a great mix of being unique and great tasting. I wish I could sit inside but I understand that every restaurant has its way of doing things.
