I’ve never ordered from here prior, but I will be ordering for EVERY event moving forward! We got so many compliments! Her cakes are delicious and light! We got canoli on the top layer and custard with strawberries and bananas on the bottom! Sooo yumm!

I found this bakery accidentally because I was searching for a bakery at the last minute. I ended up getting a decoration from Instagram and Kris was able to replicate the cake extraordinarily well. I selected the strawberry cheesecake filling and had both yellow cake and chocolate cake. My guests loved the cake and everyone wanted to know where this bakery was located. So, it’s safe to say I’ve found a new bakery where I will get all my cakes moving forward. Kris was so welcoming, helpful and sweet-Definitely 5-Star.

As a resident of Teaneck, I’ve always passed by this shop on my way to UPS. The store front looks appealing and their baked goods looked beautifully made. I am not sure why it took so long for us to visit, but we finally did after checking out some reviews. The empanadas and tres leches cakes we’re highly recommended. Their empanadas seems to sell out rather quickly. My hubby stopped by today and their mushrooms empanadas were all sold out around 1pm. Maybe we’ll get lucky when we visit for the third time (they were closed on a Monday when we attempted to stop by a few weeks ago.) We picked up a tres leches cake today since it was recommended by other reviewers and it was indeed delicious. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet. I wished it was soaked with more milk- it was slightly dry, but the cake was very fresh! I’d definitely buy this again for $4. The raspberry oats bar is probably the healthiest baked goodie that they offer…it tastes like a fresh granola bar with an extra burst of raspberry flavor! Tip- they will eventually set up a new system to preorder empanadas ahead of time :) —— 1/30/24 Super late post, bc my new mom life has been a big adjustment! I ordered a baby shower cake a few months back and the outcome was beyond our expectations!!! Our guests complimented on the beautiful cake and how delicious it was! I love how Krisota took the time to note down all the notes for my custom cake! We purchased the cake tops and dropped it off. She did an excellent job recreating a cake from two inspiration photos.

I had the pleasure of getting a cake for my sister’s 30th birthday. I came across Kris’ website by chance and I am so glad I did. I sent her a design and she said sure not a problem, I can do that! I wish the pictures did this cake more justice because it was sooooo pretty and shimmery. We did yellow cake with custard and strawberry preserves. It was fantastic! Cake was super moist and the buttercream was so smooth and not overly sugary like some can be. We were all raving about the cake all night. It’s rare to have a cake that’s super nice and tastes just as good. Kris did an amazing job! Her customer service is top tier. She’s super nice and works with you on making sure you have exactly what you want. Great prices too. I will be sure to tell everyone to make sure they get a cake from here. Thanks so much Kris!

Ok so my family ordered a custom cake from Krisota’s and could not be happier! My son is going to the University of Tennessee and we wanted to commemorate this accomplishment. The cake was beautiful! We chose the tres leches flavor because that is his favorite cake and I have to say everyone at the party raved about it! Super happy I randomly found this place online. Got a cake for my daughter's 13 bday. It was race theme. Great job Looks good and taste delicious. We made it two layers first one was checkers and on the top the tire. With the stars on the top and number 13 standing up. Everyone loved it.

I had an unexpected abysmal experience with Krisota’s Cake Shop. I have been a customer of Kris’ for many years for my kids’ birthday cakes. This time I felt they are very busy, MOST businesses when get busy keep the quality and they even get better. This business went extremely down in quality. She showed me something that I approved but when I saw the actual cake my jaw dropped however I didn’t have any choice half an hour to birthday party. Costco makes nicer cakes. The shape was awful, in the sample shape you would think it’s a 3D shape of sports balls but in the actual cake they were printed shapes cut terribly , the happy birthday was written on a PIECE OF TAPE with MAGIC MARKER! The inside chocolate cake was dry and tasteless and instead of chocolate fillings was a tasteless brownish cream. This is not the way you serve a returning customer. I will upload the actual cake picture please compare it to the sample picture she sent me and judge yourself. The one on the right is the cake she made for me, the green small soccer balls in front are candles that I added to soften the awful look of the cake. The one on the left is the sample I agreed to.

I bought a slice tres leche cake drove ten minutes home and took a bite spit it out and realized the milk was spoiled. I called the store immediately to let them know but they were closed or weren’t answering not sure which one I left a voicemail letting them know and they never reached out back to me

I had the cupcakes here. I went in for one and decided to have another. It was the best cupcake I ever had. The crème was very creamy and the cupcake was very moist and full of flavor. I love that it was not very sweet. Just the right amount of everything. Will definitely go back. Cakes looked amazing also

The owner is upper kind. Great place to stop in and get an empanada and a slice of flancocho. My personal favorite is the chocolate flancocho. And favorite empanada is the cheese and mushroom. You can even get custom cakes and cater cakes as well. Would i come back? Yes. Worth the money? Yes.

Really fun place. Good food. Not fussy. Some of the desserts they had little samples for so young could try before buying (like at an ice cream place) which is one of those things that seems obvious when you think about it but seemed miraculous at the time. Everyone liked what they had. Also the staff was quite nice.

Krisota just made the cake for our wedding of 120 people, and it was incredible. She was so so easy to work with, flexible with delivery, and made a cake people could not stop talking about. It was beautiful and delicious. She made our vision come to life! She's definitely someone I'll go back to for future events!

My kids loved the cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. We all loved the tres Leche cake and the apple carrot cake. The texture of the cake was soft and not too sweet. Even the buttercream was delicious. The front lady was amicable.

Bought a birthday cake last Saturday. Half chocolate and half tres leches- very good cake. Not overly sweet and the buttercream frosting is the smoothest I've had. Will come back again.

I had to find a last minute baker to make a Super Mario Bros. themed cake for my sons birthday. The initial person I had put a deposit down with canceled and I’m truly glad she did. It lead me to find Krisota on Instagram. I did a search for Super Mario Bros cakes and found one that I loved the design of. I live in NY and mapped her location and decided to reach out to her to see if she had the date open. She responded back very quickly (less than 24 hours) and said she had the date available. She sent me her flavor listing and I told her the design I saw on her IG that I wanted her to do. I chose my flavors, she sent an invoice, I sent a deposit and the date was locked in. Due to covid she was unable to do deliveries but that’s totally understandable so I arranged for it to be picked up. When she was finished with the cake she sent me a pic and I was floored at how gorgeous it was so I would give it 5 stars on looks alone. My sons birthday was the next day and my family couldn’t wait to try the cake because it looked amazing! The flavors I chose were tres leche and vanilla with guava buttercream. When I tell you, everyone absolutely loved the cake and there was a small debate about which layer was better. It was absolutely delicious and I loved both flavors equally. I reached out and thanked her so much for her hard work. She definitely has gained a repeat customer for life.

Best bakery I’ve been to yet. I was able to buy a last minute ready made cake for my mom’s birthday that was gorgeous. The people there were so nice and helpful! I also picked up a chocoflan slice while I was there as they had a sample out. Both the cake and chocoflan slice were delish! Im definitely going there again!

If you are ever in Teaneck area, you have to check out Krisota’s Cake Shop! The shop has a very cute decor and an array of savory empanadas to delicious cupcakes/cakes. It was difficult not to get everything. Très Léchés cake is to die for! Definitely my new go to for a little pick me up. 😋

During these pandemic times, I am extra grateful for helpful and friendly staff that goes above and beyond to streamline ordering over the phone a personalize cake. They were able to accommodate with short notice as well. The results - BAM BAM WoWs from my family. We got a chocolate cake with sesame buttercream. We loved the Sesame! The chocolate was moist and not dry or hard. Simply Perfect! We even picked up their empanadas - my vote goes to the mushroom and cheese combo, but my kids loved the chicken. Wished we got more! And don’t worry about Covid in store horror stories - customers are shown vividly spot markers on how to safely approach in socially distance fashion to the counter to order: there’s enough space and sanitizing materials at hand. Love that!

The baker (Kristosa) has apparently been baking for 15 years before opening this wonderful shop on Cedar Lane in Teaneck. I tried the Tres Leches cake, the Banana pudding and more. Every single thing is delicious and the service is so friendly and helpful!

I bought a bunch of things to try. The mushroom n cheese empanada was truly amazing. I would have never thought that combination would have such a great 1-2 flavor punch. Next I tried the beef and potato empanada. The beef was perfectly seasoned and the potatoes added a nice smooth touch to it. Now on to the cake. I bought a piece of Tres Leches cake. Normally cakes of this sort are TOO SWEET for me, but not this one. You can savor every single bite of this cake without being hit with too much sweetness. The cakes are made fresh to order so do not expect to have them waiting on the shelf as the owner does not like to serve anything but her best. Add to that the fact she can make many, MANY custom cakes (provided you ordered in advance), her great demeanor, her clean shop along with her expanding menu and this place joins Delicious Orchards as the only other place to receive a perfect 5 out of 5 stars from me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone. Kudos to Krisota's Cake Shop.
