Being that I don't speak Spanish I wish there was a menu for me to look through to see what was being offered. I felt kind of rushed along being that i was indecisive in what i wanted because there was so much to choose from. For a place that is busy the service was fast & professional. Clean and meals look freshly made. Spent more than expected.

Excellent service from the staff, congratulations, you have good food and the kindness of the people in that place is excellent, I recommend it.

I'm going to give this place a 3 start ratings. No for the food but for the service and the way the handle the business they get, the food is good the food is great big portion but a lot of things to fix like they don't have a board posting what time of diferente meat or plates you can choose from or the prices or the meat, plates etc. When u do the line and get to the counter one person take your order so a lot of people be at the counter asking for food and is a complete mess what do you guys don't do a assembly line is easier for everyone even for you guys one person do the chicharon, one person do the rice and beans, another person do the colds the line move faster and everyone is happy is just a suggestion but keep it up guys!! U are doing great good food that's why u get a lot of business 😉

It is the best place, the employees and managers are excellent people with high education and good service. I give it a 10/10 for everything, food, attention and speed.

The plates pictured is how I was served. Pernil was super salty and dry ass hell and chicken a la plancha was hard as hell but the flavor was there. The rice was the best thing. The yuca smelled like soap and tasted like soap. The flan was super good. The chicharon doesn’t look NOTHING like the ones on their instagram/tiktok. It was pure fat, the flavor was good too. SMALL PROPORTIONS. I should’ve said yes to more because they do ask you that was my fault but it was my first time there. I got 2 torillas they was good too. The ladies in there were very patient with me and kids and they were all nice. I would only come back for a plate of rice but wouldn’t give it a second chance. I wasted $70 and I felt robbed. I could’ve gone to pinolandia or anywhere in Miami and ate better than this.

Sure full this was a Sunday between 1pm to 2pm parking is bad, no organization chicharrón, crackling was not crisp like it supost to be. And other places they @ least service it with some lime. 1bls was like ½a pound. Did not try there other food I will be trying it on another day and another plate and see if there is a difference or organization and taste on other plates. But this place comes out as one of the best for chicharron/ crackling. Not so. My opinion from trying from homestead to Jacksonville. This is just my opinion so wen and if you decide to go be ready on a Sunday. Stay tone 4 next update.

Awsome Latino! Enjoyed the Chicharron and the place was really packed in out the door waiting I saw the regular working man, the roofers, the landscapers, mechanics, nurses, working women, rich kids all getting that awesome food. They are banking for sure, i enjoyed the whole experience, highly recommended.

Thi was almost like being back in Puerto Rico at a family restaurant. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. The food was better than I have had at any other Puerto Rican restaurant in South Florida. Great taste, portions were large and the food was fresh.

Best Hispanic food in all of Broward!!!! Been looking for a place like this for a while and it’s amazing! Would recommend to everyone and anyone looking for some great food!

Food was overall very dry and lacked serious flavor. The pulpo was very delicious and so were the beef empanadas and avena. The pernil and chicken breast were extremely dry as was the rice. The portion of the pernil was so small, it was unbelievable. Would not return despite the couple of items I liked.

I like this place however I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with some of the food I've had. The baked chicken leg quarter which is pretty fatty and kind of hard to overcook was absolutely bone dry. The same thing with the baked salmon. The chicharron as well as the goat stew are very good. The empanadas are OK too. The slices of cakes by the register look very good but I have yet to try them. Please stop overcooking your baked chicken and salmon.

It's not all that the food is rushed it's more like a buffet food tasted old..

I wanted to like this place and based on the reviews I thought I was in for a treat but sadly I was very disappointed. Firstly this is not Puerto Rican cuisine the cook and workers are not Puerto Rican not sure why when you search on Google it comes up as Puerro Rican cuisine but it is not. It is however Latin American food. Second food was cold, third food was tasteless and lastly we sat at a table outside the table was filthy and it smelled so bad. It smelled like a dirty bathroom. Will not be returning

On my trip through Florida I passed by the tropical house, it is a corner full of flavor and charisma. I had the pleasure of being served by a girl named Letty. At first glance you can tell that she is a girl full of charisma who enjoys working happily. I wish everyone had the same dedication and energy; The chicharrones surprised me, they are much more than I expected; without a doubt I plan to return!!! I assure you that if you want to feel pampered, visit them! And if possible, let that girl take care of them and they will see that she shines with her own light! The tropical house is wonderful in Florida!😊

The food was AMAZING! I ordered the fried pork belly with yuca, and it was incredible. The pork belly was tender, with chunky, crispy skin, and the flavors were spot on! My daughter had the fried chicken with white rice and green pigeon peas, and it was equally flavorful—the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the green pigeon peas were fantastic. The authentic Dominican flavors reminded me so much of my mom and grandma’s cooking. Dessert was a treat too—I had the Dominican cake with pineapple, and it instantly transported me back to childhood birthday parties. I’m giving this place a well-deserved 5-star rating. The staff is super friendly, and the food is phenomenal. This is now my go-to spot for delicious Dominican food!

The pork cracklings are excellent

Well, we know that each head is different, and that there must be opposition in everything, they have typical food from our countries, but from the DR I only saw the soft drinks and the juices and delicious chocolate, the price is very high for the quality of the food. Food, everything is sold by the pound, and they don't have the prices displayed, VERY HIGH BY THE WAY, and they deceive you about the weight, they do everything in the back, with their back to the customer... and the natural drinks, very high price... .

Letty's attention is very nice, that girl is great, fun and very helpful! If there were 10 stars I would definitely give them. The food is the best in the area. I recommend that if you want to feel pampered, you visit the tropical house!

I visited La Casita Tropical, a charming local eatery. It offers a cafeteria and convenience store with covered outdoor tables. The service was friendly. The menu offered a variety of traditional Hispanic dishes, and I was excited to try a few. I ordered the masita de cerdo (pork chunks), but unfortunately, they were a bit of a letdown. The pork chunks were overcooked, making them tough and hard to enjoy. However, the chicharrón (fried pork) was crispy and flavorful. The arroz blanco (white rice) and frijoles (beans) complemented the meal nicely, providing a good balance. To drink, I had the piña juice, which was incredibly sweet but still tasty. I found that adding ice and water helped balance out the sweetness. Overall, La Casita Tropical is a good spot for a quick, casual meal with good service and some tasty options. While the pork chunks didn’t hit the mark, there are definitely other dishes worth trying.

Great experience! Food was REALLY GOOD 👍 the chicharrones are some of the best I've had. What made the experience even better was how welcoming and friendly the staff are. The place is lively from the moment you walk in and all of the staff have smiles on. I believe the owner introduced himself and was very friendly and attentive. I 100% recommend this place!!
