If you are looking for great food, and a great atmosphere La Place BBQ is a must. Nina, is an amazing cook, with her homemade recipes, and wonderful person too. My wife and got the opportunity to eat dinner, and talk with Nina. We enjoyed both. La Place BBQ will definitely be on our list for future visit to Fort Walton.

I had the pleasure of trying the Hawaiian pork sandwich and I was not disappointed! The sandwich was huge and piping hot. The potato salad was phenomenal and baked beans were bursting with flavor. The owners were very accommodating and clearly take a lot of pride in their food. I'm looking forward to trying more things on the menu!

Very delicious! I came with my husband and we tried the Brisket. French fries and bananas are delicious. Customer service is the best. We will come back to try the ribs.

Great food, very friendly staff!

I serched maps for a good location and came upon this for lunch. I bought 3 orders of ribs, totally excited to enjoy, and bring some back to the family. However greatly disappointed after all the build-up, but only because my ribs weren't hot. Could have been 1 in a million situation.

We are at FWB for vacation and we’re looking for a barque place. We lucked into this place. The owner was the sweetest and the food was amazing. There were 5 of us and we all tried something different. Each item was delicious! We will definitely make this a stop every time we are in the area. I can not say enough good things about this place!

Stopped here tonight after driving by for the last 3 years, and boy I'm glad we did! The BBQ is leaps and bounds better than Sonnys!! I'm usually not a fan of baked beans (prefer ranch style beans) but thiers are some of the best I've ever had! Also enjoyed the black beans and rice, it wasn't at all what I expected. I had the pulled Pork sandwich. When I unwrapped it it seemed like half the meat fell off, when I went to put it back on the bun there was no room!! My wife had the brisket, both were excellent! Prices for the portion sizes were great! Beer prices seemed a little high, but they did come with a frosty cold mug. My only regret was waiting so long to try this place. I'd like to add, the inside is exactly what I was expecting when I walked up to a single wide trailer restaurant, but it was clean and well done. I've been to the world famous (original) Rudy's, it's on par with that place for ambiance. Will be back for sure.

Super good smoked pulled pork great service

Had the BBQ Ribs and Fries. A generous Rack of Ribs that were tender and Delicious! The Owner and his Wife were super friendly and helpful. Wonderful locally owned business that I will definitely return to on my annual visit to Ft. Walton!

Been here twice in the last week. Ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich on the first visit and the half rack of BBQ ribs on the second visit. The ribs are nicer and tender, falling off the bone.

Seeing a converted house trailer as a restaurant gave me pause at first. But I thought I would give it a try at least once, as I like checking out new food venues. Do not let the exterior fool you. The food at this place is AWSOME. I got the LA Place Ultimate Burger. This thing had a hamburger patty, 3x Swiss cheese, pulled pork, bacon, ham, coleslaw, lettuce, onions, tomato, pickels, and BBQ sauce. It was so big and so very juicy. I would highly recommend it. Brought the three kids, and their food was good also. The owners, Nina and Duane, were so nice and attentive. It's definitely a great place to eat. As I just moved to town, I will be coming back many times in the future.

Ordered the brisket for lunch; it feels like I met the Ancient Gods of BBQ and had a spiritual awakening. The food here is incredible!!! I also order the homemade cake here, and I have not been the same since. It so rich and fluffy I want to cry after the first bite. 10/10 would spend all my money here again.

Delicious! Easy to find, simple menu but fantastic food!

I traveled to FWB for a license renewal but that office closes from 11-12 for lunch so I looked for some lunch myself and found La Place BBQ. I was greeted by the nicest lady and promptly got a seat. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich with 2 sides, BBQ baked beans and potato salad. The food came out fast and every mouthful was absolutely delicious. Some of the most flavorful food I've ever eaten. All the staff is super friendly too! When I come back to FWB I'll be sure to visit again.

The BEST ribs in town! So smokey, juicy and fall off the bone! I love thier rice and beans and baked beans as well. The owner is so sweet and customer service is great! The place is cozy and casual! I want to try other food on the menu but just can't get past those ribs! I recommend giving them a try! I don't think you will be disappointed.

Excellent barbeque! The cook/owner is friendly and helpful with plenty of jokes. The food is fresh and delicious. We had ribs and Hawaiian sandwich (a special).We had the potato salad, smoked baked beans and green beans as sides, all very good. Inside is clean, well-lit, soft music, and pleasant. Worthy of note, all barbeque places in the area besides Sonny's close early, except La Place. We will be going back.

This place never disappoints! Has become one of my absolute favorites for lunch.

I love this place! Wife ordered the jerk chicken, I ordered the brisket. Only 1 item we deemed not good due to our taste. The slaw was vinegar based and had too much sweetener added, wish it was savory. The brisket was spot on! I do recommend this place as one of our local gems.

I stopped by here on my way back to Pensacola to try the BBQ. The ribs were hot and fresh, tender and flavorful. I enjoyed the black beans and rice, tasted like authentic spanish recipe. also got 1/2 chicken. It was a bit burnt on the outside, so I expected it to be dry, but it too was juicy and good. The owner is friendly, and I am happy that I stopped by. Definitely recommend.

Heard a lot about this place so my wife and I stopped by to give it a try. It was great we will be back great service very nice server. I have the Cuban wife had pulled pork sandwich both excellent. Also had the plantains we will be back.

The food and service were outstanding! Some of the best food I've ever eaten! We ordered the LA Place Carribean pork and the smoked teriyaki chicken tips. Everything was super good! The server was very friendly and helpful. We loved it and will certainly be back!

Quiet, unassuming atmosphere is backed up by delicious, homemade BBQ with the perfect amount of seasoning. The BBQ baked beans were easily the best I've ever had, and that's not an exaggeration. This is my new favorite BBQ joint.

My first impression when I pulled into the parking lot was that I was in the wrong place. The restaurant looks like a trailer. So I was a bit leery walking in. But happily the interior was squeaky clean. The waitress/hostess was very friendly and most importantly the food was delicious. My wife’s ribs were literally falling off the bone and my chili hit all the right spots. I just wish they had some sour cream to top it off. I've had the Caribbean plate and the rib dinner. Both were excellent. The plantains are good too. The restaurant is clean and simple. It would be great if their hours were longer. Get there early because they have run out of ribs in the past.

Omg!!!!! I'm just ate here for the first time I ordered the chicken wrap, my party ordered Gumbo and Brisket and all the food was Amazing. Nina and staff were awesome servers and I'm probably gonna get nap now. If you're searching for great food you've found and portion size. Seasoning is on point and sauce 😋😋😋

Cuban sandwich was excellent. Sides were good except for the bbq beans. They were delicious.

Family owned resteraunt. I ordered the ribs, which were a special item that evening. And they were amazing! Freshly made, juicy, good flavor and a nice sauce for dipping.

The decor is simple but clean. The staff was friendly and prompt. For the typical BBQ restaurant, it took longer to get our food than I would expect. I got the jerk chicken, it tasted good but was not what I'd call jerk chicken. Jerk anything is not a saucy dish. My friend's pulled pork sandwich was exactly what you want for a pulled pork sandwich.

I had the Hawaiian pulled pork sandwich, my husband had the Ultimate burger and both were absolutely delicious. The cole slaw side wasn’t mayo based, which I’ve never had like that before, and it was very good! The potato salad reminded me of my childhood. Everything was just really great home-style food, we will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try the desserts next time.

Sitting here now at la place bbq, inside is a nice feel and good customer service! There is a sign asking for reviews on the door. Come try as well, and leave them a review !

Don't let the exterior fool you, there is amazing food here. Everything is homemade and delicious. The Caribbean Pork had so much flavor it surprised me. The ribs and sauce were seasoned just right and they weren't too dry or too greasy. Definitely a place I plan to visit again.

Absolutely amazing, possibly the best food weve had from Fort Walton Beach. We haven't noticed this gem and have lived here for 3 years. When a family member told us about it, we had to try it. I got La Place Ultimate Burger and oh my goodness. So many different flavors. Best burger I've had. The wife got Hawaiian pulled pork, slightly sweet with pineapples and their sauce has just enough kick. The price was very fitting. We will definitely be back. Thank you guys for the great meal!
