Great food and fresh. We had a large group and everyone loved it. Highly recommended if you are in the area. It was our last day of our vacation but definitely will be back once we return for our next trip to Destin. Tostones and mofongo on point 👌🏻😁

I requested the red snapper, my first time here , last the fish was baked with some white sauce, she said it will take 20 minutes too cook , that’s how long it takes to fry the fish , waitress never came back to see if we needed anything, thus was a bad experience il would never go back bad food , service, even after I told her I didn’t order that fish , she never came back , too offer me anything else

I wanted something different, and the owners delivered and spent time with me telling me about the food.

Fantastic food, I love Caribbean food and Puerto riven food in particular. I ordered one of their mofongo dishes and a shot of espresso which were both fantastic. The owner of the establishment was incredibly friendly and delivered some fantastic food. Would most definitely go back again next time in town.

I was on a business trip in this area and I found this gem. Great authentic Puerto Rican food. The mofongo, arroz masposteado, and the pernil are DELICIOUS!!! I'm sure everything else there is great too. I ate there two days, they are great people with great food and great service! Thanks for your hospitality. Stellar service and great tasting, authentic Puerto Rican food. Very well seasoned and large portions. The owner and his staff are amazing and always checking on you to make sure you’re doing well. I’ve been to many different Puerto Rican restaurants in large cities and this restaurant did not disappoint. They definitely beat those places.

If you are looking for some real Puerto Rican food this is the place. We stayed at Miramar but came down by the Papis Cafe area for real food every day. Worth the drive if you want Spanish soul food.

I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and it was a good sandwich. It just wasn’t really a Cuban sandwich. But the service was excellent and the place is really clean. We had people in our party show up sporadically across a half hour or so and it wasn’t a problem at all. They really know how to roll with it. Park in the back, it’s easier.

It is the first time we have visited this part of FL and when we realized the restaurant existed they were almost closing. The lady told us on the phone that if we arrived before 8 they would serve us. We arrived at 7:50 and they treated us with all the patience. The rest is beautiful, and well cultural. The food was exquisite, nothing like leftovers. Friendly and helpful employees. I am proud to find Puerto Ricans shining elsewhere.

The food was amazing, it was my first time eating caribbean food and it was delicious. The meal that I had was Carne Frita with a side of white rice topping with some pinto beans. The staff were incredibly generous. Will 100% recommend this place.

This place has amazing Puerto Rican food!! The mofongo stuff with skirt steak was awesome, their beans amazing, the masonado rice on another level!! I love ghis olace and I highly recommended. If you like Cuban food, you will really enjoy this place! It’s actually Puerto Rican but very similar to Cuban. Don’t be fooled by the tiny size of the restaurant or worry if there aren’t many people eating there. The food is DELICIOUS & the owner is so nice! We enjoyed listening to the ethnic music too because it enhanced our dining experience. ;)

Wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They serve the best Puerto Rican food in the area. The service is very good. The staff speaks Spanish and English. You must try the stewed meat, it is incredibly delicious. However, every dish is delicious. Try them all!

Went in about 45 minutes before closing to get a to-go order, and the staff was so sweet and told us that there was plenty of time if we wanted to eat in the restaurant. We didn't realize it was so close to closing before we got there, so we got it to go. And we cannot wait to go back. The food was sooo delicious. Especially the plaintains, they were so sweet and the perfect dessert. I cannot reccomend this place enough.

My husband and I have never had the privilege of going to a Puerto Rican restaurant before, but we prefer international cuisine experiences over anything else so we were eager to try it during our week-long vacation to Fort Walton. Being that we are foodies and derive quite a bit of joy from trying as many new places as we can squeeze into a short week, this is the one place where we want to come back twice! My husband ordered the Thursday lunch special Castillos en salsa with yellow rice and oh sweet heavens it was phenomenal. I ordered Mofongo Relleno De Camarones al Ajillo which was a treat and incredibly flavorful. We went back to the counter after finishing our meal to order fried plantains. We will definitely be coming back for a second visit in just one week! Our fav restaurant so far down here. UPDATE: We did go back. We just couldn’t leave Fort Walton without trying the tostones and pastelillos. HOLY COW were they amazing. This is the only restaurant in one week that we visited twice: let that speak for itself.

Fantastic place! You’re always served with a smile and they serve authentic puertorican food just like your grandma cooked it. The pernil is delicious and the emapanadillas are even better. If the parking lot in front is full, there is extra parking in the back of the building.

CORREN para allá. Some of the best Puerto Rican food I’ve tried in the United States (and I’ve lived in nyc for 7 years and 5 years in PR). The pork shoulder was so flavorful, the cuerito super crunchy! The yuca was perfection and the arroz con gandules con habichuela guisada were *chef kiss*. Finished my meal with a cafecito. It was so comforting and the perfect lunch (and dinner since the portions are so large). So like i said, NO SE PIERDAN Y HECHA PARA ALLÁ 🤩🤩🤩🤩

I wish I would have taken pictures. This was SO good! The salsa and fresh peppers were delicious. The serving was large and very well presented and just tasted out of this world! If you're not sure about mofongo, just try it. It is so good. This place does it right!

Went there for lunch. Fast service. Food was decent, but too expensive for what I get. My plate with rice, beef stew, chicken popper with a 20 oz soda was over $24 + tip. My third times eating at this restaurant, 2nd times at this location so I don't hate it, just too expensive to do it more than once or twice a year (for me). Staff is always friendly.

The food is so good. Garlicy delicious grilled chicken and yummy sweet plantain. The chicken empanada was my favorite. Lots of flavor, great staff, in and outdoor seating. They also had chicken fingers and fries for the kids.

Just passing through Florida and stoped here to eat. Never had mofongo and wanted to try it and it was delicious. We also had the Cuban sandwich which was great as well. Staff was super friendly.

The food was pretty good but the Cuban sandwich was amazing! The only issue was the whole place smelled like Fabuloso cleaner, and that smell was so strong you couldn’t smell any food and it kind of takes away your appetite. It’s good to know that they are clean but when you go somewhere to eat it would be nice to smell food. Also one of the workers and I’m assuming a customer stood at the end of the table we were eating at and had her foot on the seat we were sitting at which was very rude and we had to get up and move tables.

Portions are small for the price, and the item I ordered was not at all what I had expected having had real Portorican food.
