A ripple in the space time continuum. We were visiting LA for my 50th birthday celebration. LA Prime will deliver amazing food and spectacular views. Our server was truly struggling and elderly. They mistook my 41 year old wife as the person celebrating their birthday and tried to force her to take a picture with the beautiful birthday plate sent out for me. Before desert we had the prime rib, which was amazing! There seems to be no restrictions on who can come up to the 35th floor restaurant and take pictures. There were tourist interrupting our dinner and views taking pictures while throwing up gang signs etc. The food was undeniably on point and the views breathtaking but do not expect an exclusive dining experience.

The food is excellent! The views are great! It is pricey but for a special occasion it's worth it. You must get your parking ticket validated, or you'll be paying twice the price.

What a dining experience. Views forever, food and wine, top notch. Holly recommend for a celebration or to enjoy a few hours with someone special.

The ambiance with the city skyline in the backdrop is beautiful. We were lucky enough to go on a clear day. The team was beyond attentive and made sure we had the amazing service that was expected. The food was just as expected. Cooked to perfection and the sides (which are shareable) were all superb. They even made us specialty margaritas that weren't on the menu. You definitely get what you pay for at LA Prime.

It's really to bad that the food and atmosphere were great because I WON'T be back because of the general manager Duke's lack of care in customer service. We were ignored for over an hour! When asked to speak to a manager Duke continued to ignore us. Horrible customer service at what seems like a fine dining establishment. We spend over $500 and we WON'T be back!

The restaurant is older, dim lights can't hide the old decor. Meat tasted bloody order mines well. So it's clear they don't rinse the blood of. The service was good, and the view was good. Just an upgrade and rinse their food. If you know, then you will understand I what I mean.

We had a great here, the food was amazing, the filet mignon was soft and delicious, perfectly cooked, I went with my friends for girls night out and the ambience was perfect and comfortable, with amazing view to downtown LA.

My dinner at LA Prime Steakhouse was an all around awesome experience. I was in LA for business and this was not only a terrific location, but the ambiance and views made it very welcoming as well. More importantly, the service was INCREDIBLE. I had arrived for an early dinner Friday night and although I did not have a reservation, the hostess could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Moreover, Norma provided some of the best service I have had in a very long time. She went above and beyond to ensure my time there was the best it could be. The steak and side of mushrooms were perfectly prepared. Although there are so many different restaurants to try on my trips to LA, due to the terrific food and more importantly, the incredible service, I will definitely be making my way back to LA Prime.

Had a great time at LA Prime. Food and service was amazing. Our servers were very attentive and helpful. This is on the 35 floor of the Westin Bonaventure. We started with the chilled oysters, they were fresh and yummy! For dinner we had the Filet Mignon with the lobster tail. 2 sides were Asparagus and Brussel Sprouts. The views of the downtown L.A buildings were great. We will be coming back soon!

Very disappointed! Walk into this 4.6 star restaurant to no hostess! Nor greeting from any server, 10 min I stood there I actually had to walk through rest to find someone to seat us on my birthday! I ordered the app French onion soup and shrimp cocktail, the worst French onion soup ever and the shrimp cocktail were tiny! While the manager Christian walk by 7 times and never greeted us nor said anything till the complained to my server Cameron. He a very well rounded knows the menu and very professional! He may be the reason we may try it again but definitely 1 star! Maybe you guys should go to steak 48 and see how well they treat there guest!! La Prime i would not recommend to anyone period

It's at the top floor of one of the best hotels in LA serving prime steaks. How could it not be amazing? Great views (obviously) upscale dining room and big luxurious tables and booths. Really can't go wrong.

Service was impeccable. Very good service from John, the servicer. The restaurant made accommodations for us even though we made our reservations for the wrong date. The food was great! The center cut fillet mignon, mac and cheese, sautéed mushrooms and wedge salad was great.

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. We arrived here without reservation and were seated without a long wait. Our server Raphael out did himself and went above and beyond. I highly recommend the New York Strip steak or the Prime Burger.

My friends and I ate here on 3/30/24 and Maria was our waitress. She was so exceptionally sweet and attentive to our table and made wonderful recommendations. We had steak, 2 bottles of wine and several delicious sides! The views were also incredible and an absolute must for anyone in the area.

The steak was really good, but the shrimp for cocktail was raw. Atmosphere there and the views are great.

You're paying for the view. The food was very good but not exceptional. The service was good but not outstanding. The prices are high. The view was very good but the revolving lounge was being refurbished. A complimentary birthday was served and very nice.

Five stars for exceptional service delivery!

Expensive, but worth it. Update 2/3/24. Food / cooking quality has diminished substantially. My wife and i order steaks. Expensive steaks. They both arrived over cooked (she requested rare, I requested medium rare). We got replacements very quickly (good). Mine was overcooked again, and hers was physically cold to the touch. The steaks were seasoned not at all and flavorless. A real bummer. This has been a favorite spot and now is one to avoid.

I can definetly say that the food, especially meat was delicious. The view is awesome; however, prices are quite expensive. Service is super slooow.

Great place with a stunning view. And we must not forget that the hotel and the bar were locations for the Clint Eastwood film In The Line of Fire.

Place always tries to rob and double charge my card ive came here twice about 2 years apart from eachother and they did it each time extremely sketchy place

Great Food, Great Ambiance, and Great Service. Plus, the rotating bar floor is only one flight down. Impress your guests or treat yourself. This place is always the perfect spot for dinner and drinks.

This place must have a contact with the pharmaceutical companies to give as many people as possible hypertension because EVERYTHING is salty beyond consumption. We litteraly took a bite of each item and took the rest to go. And the only reason we took it to go was because it cost an arm and leg for the food. The service was good though. Very nice and attentive. She even noticed we didn't touch our food. We told her we were full but the truth was a plate of salt would have been less salty. We made sure to tip well because that was the only thing good about this place. The view was dissapointing because we got seated infront of a pillar and had an 85% obstructed view of the skyline. What we got: Gumbo Lamb Prim rib Mac&cheese Lobster bisque Bluecheese salad Backed oysters Also, website states complementary valet parking but we got charged $15 even with validation.

Great location, great food and drink options. Loved it!

The food was very good. Had the 8oz filet with a nice sized lobster tail, which was cooked perfectly. The appetizer included prawns and lobster bisque which was flavorful, but fell short on the portions of lobster. Was a bit disappointed about the bread being cold. Other than that, I would recommend the restaurant.

The food was good. The only thing that bothered me was that gratuity included for 2 people, I knew the gratuity it’s included for 6-8 or more people at the table but the server didn’t tell us about the gratuity the he included for no reason.

Awesome lounge area. Minimal food selection but service and view make up for it. Great first date and anniversary location. Perfect to just chill, have a drink and enjoy the ever changing view.

This is an extremely remarkable, luxurious restaurant. On top of The Westin hotel, this restaurant has stunning views of downtown Los Angeles. This restaurant does best with reservations. Known for their steaks, I suggest their Filet Mignon. They offer it with and without sauces for those who have preferences or dietary restrictions. It's definitely the best filet mignon I've had in a while! Their cocktails and desserts are also fabulously made. They are extremely accommodating towards any dietary restrictions, and our waitress was kind enough to explain each menu item to a friend who was having trouble. A small group of us came for a celebration, and they brought us a free dessert!

The staff at this steakhouse truly knows the art of hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we felt like royalty. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made great recommendations. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The steaks were cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The side dishes were equally impressive, and the wine selection was outstanding. The ambiance is elegant, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that's perfect for a romantic evening or a celebratory dinner. Anniversary dinner. Good atmosphere, view (choose Red tower, 35th floor, left after entering lobby). Pricey, but man up and bring your credit card, chief. Ps, the lounge below has a floor that rotates as you dine. You'll be the man for days.

Beautiful view Service is great The food is not worth it at all. We visited this past weekend. Dinner for two was almost $400. My lobster was awful, had to be sent back, it was mushy and had a foul taste. The second one was better in texture but the taste was only slightly improved. The filet mignon was mediocre in taste, but to be fair was a nice medium rare color. As far as sides, potato’s were good. Mushrooms were probably some of the worst I’ve had at a high end restaurant, brussels sprouts were good. The best thing we tried was the waygu carpaccio salad. Drinks on their signature cocktail menu were just ok. Overall experience was mediocre, at best. Skip dinner and go to the cocktail lounge instead if you want to check them out. Also, they should remove the poster by the elevators advertising the awards they’ve won for their dinners because there’s no way that’s accurate.

I can't rate the food because we did not have a chance to eat there. The reason being the hostess would not seat us in an empty resteraunt for an hour. We only wanted dessert and asked if we could order it to go. We were staying in the hotel. They told us they did not do to go orders. This is ok some resteraunts don't so we asked for a table to order dessert. We were told we had to wait an hour in an empty resteraunt. It was my wife and I anniversary. The staff at the stand was rude and there really wasn't a need for it. Based on how I was met I would not return.

Disappointed. This place has so much potential. Has been there for years. I ordered the Lobster Thermidor and it was overcooked. Dry and not creamy like all the others I've had. The Onion Soup was really bad couldn't finish it. My wifes Steak was perfect and she enjoyed it. Very expensive for what we got. The view however was great, but didn't revolve

Worst experience ever. The waiter was rude - terrible service all long. They asked you to leave when half of the tables were still available, and the attitude was quite problematic.

Filet mignon au poivre and the asparagus are top of the class, as always, but it was a special treat to see our server Norma still there after more than a decade. Personable, knowledgeable and a master class in service describes Norma. If only every fine dining establishment had a Norma. But for over a decade it has been L.A. Prime.

The three stars are a combination of all the good and bad which makes this place just average compared to other fine dining establishments. The amazing 5 star views are undeniable, the restaurant sits on the 35th floor and overlooks LA. The service was 3 to 4 star, a little slower than expected at a place like this but when they came around they were extremely friendly and our server went above and beyond to get us drinks they apparently aren’t suppose to make anymore. The food was decent at best, nothing wowed me. I ordered the most expensive steak on the menu as I always do, which is an 18oz bone-in ribeye. To me it was and way overpriced for the flavor and quality at $98. For sides we got the creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and the Mac and cheese. The sides were so-so nothing spectacular at all but definitely shareable portions. Which makes me rate the food a 1-2 stars in comparison to the price. Overall value, I’d say not worth it, and I don’t typically leave this harsh of a review but I don’t feel the food was much better than an Outback Steakhouse on the 35th floor with views sadly. Without the views and the service a two star would be a stretch, especially in comparison to what a fine dining steak house should offer.

To me, it's overrated and overpriced. Food was good but the price and atmosphere are higher than food quality. Service was adequate, I just do think I got what I paid for.

LA PRIME is definitely for Date Night, a Birthday Dinner, Anniversary or a very special occasion. Mostly known for the views. Service could of been a little better and more attentive.

I was staying at the hotel. I went up for dinner on a Friday night and my waitress Norma was the most charming and kind waitress I’ve ever had. She was a perfect blend of sweet, professional, and welcoming. Her recommendation of the peppercorn filet was spot on with what I wanted. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town

Overpriced for the below average food that is served. Needs a lot of improvement for the pricey cuisine they served Absolutely not worth it. They didn't even allow us to take pictures in the waiting lounge, which was the only place that had a bit of a view.

I've been going to Westin Bonnaventure for six years. This is the first time going to LA Prime and for my birthday. The ribeye I ordered was seasoned beautifully. Crusty edges and tender pink in the middle. I got it cooked medium rare. It came with a whole roasted garlic. My partner ordered the king oyster mush

Every dish was cooked to perfection. Three of us had filet mignon & lobster. I asked for my meat to be cooked medium, my brother asked for medium rare, my aunt asked for medium well. Each filet mignon was cooked exactly how we ordered it. The lobster bisque was creamy with chunks of lobster. The shrimp dish was exquisite. The strawberry and banana crème brûlée was a different twist from the traditional crème brûlée, but it was delicious Our servers Norma & Roberto provided exceptional service. Five stars well deserved.

First time came here. I thought the place would be super busy so I made reservations in advanced. Well, when we got there at 6:30 pm only 3 tables there including us. It’s too eerie quiet, there’s no music playing in the background, we only heard people talking softly. Steak was good, the experience was ok, not great.

The entire experience was one of quality, care, and ease. First the staff was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. They did not push or try to upsell. Made great suggestions and were the perfect amount of attentive. The view is wonderful. We arrived just as the sun was going under the horizon and oh it is an amazing view of LA. One of the best in the city. The food was top notch. It was hard to decide what to order. The lobster bisque was spot on, a great creamy texture with chunks of lobster. My prime filet and lobster tail was perfect. I could not have asked for a better rare steak. The lobster was buttery and cooked just so.

Ended up here twice to do an event in the hotel and couldn't have been more plesantly surprised. While it seems to position itself like a typical hotel restaurant, it is anything but. Superior service, exceptional food, incredible views. Totally plan on coming back not just while I am around for other reasons. It's worth it.

Very Beautiful Atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately my Sister and I were very underwhelmed with the lobster bisque. It tasted more like a "broth" vs a "bisque". It lacked the richness and flavor of a bisque. I also ordered the New Orleans Gumbo which the waitress did ask if I was from New Orleans and I advised yes. She indicated that it's not going to quite like New Orleans persay (which we understand everyone has their own version). The version we experienced was just ok. We did enjoy our baked oysters.

Dont waste your time here, its not the same nice, luxurious, romantic restaurant as before, this is basically a Dennys on the top floor. Made reservations for a window table but got there and they didnt want to give it to us. What is a reservation for?? Lol. Wow. The restaurant doesnt slowly spin anymore either how boring. The place looks different from before and the name has changed, looks more low class now. Used to be a nice place with good service but things change, wont be coming back here again and i will let everyone i know the bad service we received.

I rarely write a negative review, but there were multiple missteps that shouldn't happen at that caliber of steakhouse. Ordered a salad with my meal, never came. Was offered one when my entree arrived, politely passed. Seafood in the gumbo was very over cooked. Ordered a creme brulee for dessert, a different one came out (flavor). Egg custard in the brulee was overcooked. I'm a part of the hospitality industry, so I rarely write a review like this. However, it wasn't a good experience.

Spectacular view of DTLA, the freeway and skyscrapers. We could see Century City, the Observatory, and Hollywood sign. The server said, after it rains you can see the ocean and Catalina Island. Planning to return soon.

Dear friends of ours invited my lovely wife and I out here. We enjoyed the view, the food, the drinks, and especially the company. The Ribeye was flavorful but the sides are not family style size as indicated by our waitress. I felt dinner was a bit pricey for what we received. The wine selection was more than decent. All in all it was okay.

Oh my goodness. This was nothing but the best. We were staying in the hotel and wanted to give it a try, and we were VERY glad we did. Dinner, drinks, dessert- Everything was so rich and the flavors were layered in such a way that makes you want to come back for more. Sides are served family style, so absolutely bring a group and try them all!
