Hard to find... Fast, Fresh, Healthy, Tasty Had Falafel Bowl & Yummy Baklava.

LAFA by ZEINA'S is probably my favorite place to eat...I usually get built ur own bowl with chicken & every veggie on the menu...Love it & the price is alot cheaper than any other Mediterranean restaurant around & the freshest, The same goes for ZEINA'S on Varick st which his Father owns & is a friend of mine....Try them both,u will not b disappointed!!!

I have never gotten anything at Lafa that was less than delicious. Everyone in my party loved what they ordered.

I order take out here so I can't comment on the service or atmosphere but the food is fresh and delicious.

We tried the grain bowls. You choose what you want in it and they fill your order. The bowls are quite sizable, filling and delish. Server was very knowledgeable and patient

THe only bad thing about Lafa is that it's addicting! I crave it every day. It's such healthy eating. :)

Our family loves Lafa. It’s always fresh and beyond delish! My daughter will be going to an out of state school and says that you need to franchise it so she can have it all year long!

My wife and I visited from out of state, and this was the best food we had all week. CAVA/Chipotle style Mediterranean food, well seasoned, well portioned, and well priced. If there was one near us we would eat here regularly, it was delicious.

Love this place and go here about 2-3x/week sometimes. It’s one of the only healthy ‘fast’ food options in the area, with actual real whole food, not greasy or heavy, there are lots lots of veggies, a sugar- and sweetener- free drink option, and the staff is friendly and quick. Had previously given 5 stars but am now to 3, as I was really disappointed when they changed their menu last week - the small bowl option I always ordered for myself has been discontinued and been replaced by a not-so-great kid’s plate option. The problem is that 1) the kid’s plate only allows rice pilaf as the base (so while delicious, it’s higher in carbs and fat than the salad or mix of greens and brown rice I prefer) 2) you are only allowed two toppings, so definitely not enough veggies/fiber possible in that for an adult for a well-balanced meal from a nutritional standpoint. While ok for a little kid, it is not enough variety, balance or portion size for an adult simply looking for a portion size that is larger than a kids plate but smaller than the large bowl. The small bowl was truly the perfect option for an adult seeking a reasonable portion size and nutritional balance with lots of flavor from various different toppings and base options. The wrap and large bowl are simply too much of a portion for me (and I think many diet-conscious people would tend to agree), and I don’t like to order the large size and just keep leftovers with bread and salad that get soggy and aren’t so pleasant after a few hours or the next day. This means that I end up throwing out what I can’t eat, which is a waste of both food and money, and has really made me reconsider Lafa when choosing to eat out. Please bring back the small bowl like before, Lafa! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ventured off my path, and Zeina’s is phenomenal. The summer menu has a nice Mediterranean choice of flavors and the food is fresh and delicious. Owner and employees are all great people. Highly recommend it all

I live in Syracuse, but have occasionally been going to the Utica area for work. Stumbled on Lafa just from searching for a good lunch spot in the area since I'm unfamiliar, and I've been in love ever since. Fresh, convenient, unique food that truly makes me feel happy to eat :)

Wow. Lafa by Zeina is a unique, bold, healthy, and a really delicious addition to the foodie choices in the Greater Utica area. Great for lunch and dinner; and a convenient online order and pick-up on the way to work, or on the way home.

Food was served promptly. Pricing is fair. Always enjoy sitting and eating in a clean and bright place.

Usually love this place! But the online order glitched it just kept loading then showed an empty cart, but charged me. So it went through but this is the disaster that was waiting... So messy. Sauce covered the entire packaging.

I have been to Lafa several times, both for eat-in and take-out through the app. I usually opt for a build your own bowl. The food is always top notch and super fresh! The flavor profiles of each topping and sauce is so, so delicious and thought out. My favorites are their chicken shawarma, their awesome vinaigrette, and that green jalapeno sauce! The employees are kind, patient, and helpful. Prices are on point, servings are generous. Well done Lafa!

Lafa is always consistently delicious and I would recommend it to anyone! I love to make my own salad/grain bowl and load it up with my favorites. The food is always exceptional. I usually order online, so I don’t really interact with staff, but I’ve never had an issue with ordering or the quality of my food.

Did a pickup order. Was ready when I got there. Food was great as always. (Should add authentic grape leaves to the menu :) only thing missing otherwise my favorite place to get food when I have to work in the office)

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The schwarna was excellent, and so was the baklava. Also recommend the half&half mint tea lemonade.

I had high hopes having eaten at Zeinas a few years back and was amazed at the food. This felt highly commercialized, like if the original Zeinas and Subway had a location. I'm going to return to Zeinas to get that amazing food once again but I would skip here in the future.

Came in after 4pm and ordered a Santorini salad and a falafel salad and some hummus. Everything was delicious and healthy. We also love going to Zeina’s .

If you want fresh, delicious food this is the place. Very friendly staff and will answer any questions you have. Fast service, made to order. So worth the price. Never disappoints.

I have been several times. The most recent visit was for their 3rd anniversary/birthday. I’ve tried a few different menu items and they’ve all been really good! This time I had a Beirut bowl (just changed the garlic sauce to their vinaigrette). No complaints! Such a great mix of flavors. I have a young child so I just ordered a chicken pita wrap with basic veggie ingredients and it came out great. Another family member has Celiac and has to eat gluten-free so we ordered a custom bowl with chicken and veggies, no wrap, and no pilaf. Everyone enjoyed it and the family member did not get sick which is a plus. The baklava was just as good as ever. Definitely will continue to eat there!

The food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced.

I ordered the new honey chili falafel and it was good, but it wasn’t spicy at all. It was sweet. My favorite is always going to be the rosemary falafel!

Have ordered from Lafa roughly half a dozen times…usually rice bowls. I saw their Valentine’s meal offer and am SO happy I ordered!!! Was my first time trying humus and falafel and both were great. Also, was super happy that baklava was included and though it looked like it would potentially be dry, it was also fabulous! (Sorry father-in-law with competing baklava). Will absolutely be a continued customer! Staff is also very friendly and helpful for new customers and their business is clean and modern.

I ordered the Athen chicken gyro and grain bowl with chicken. Absolutely fantastic as always, fast, friendly service and the food is always fresh. Just want to say, get out of the car and go order a fresh meal, takes less time than a drive through and definitely more for your money. Meat helping is generous, much better than at other local mediterranean take outs. Personally, I would like more lamb offerings, but for now I am more than satisfied. Thanks to the friendly, helpful servers, always so patient.

Food is not only a little different, but very tasty. The garlic whip is very good, but go slow it could overwhelm your taste buds and then you will not taste the rest of the food. 1/4/24 - Update, We frequent Lafa quite a bit so I wanted to add this new information from out recent visits. We have noticed that in the past couple of times we went to Lafa for take out the portions are noticeably smaller. I understand that portion control in a restaurant is important, but prior to this we always had a very good portion size. Is this a way to make more by giving less, which is a way to not have to increase prices for increased cost to the restaurant. Sad, love the food and will continue to see what happens, but may need to go elsewhere for take out. Check it out for yourself as the food is pretty good. Just thought it was worth mentioning because of the difference from previous purchases.

I had food delivered and omgggg. I was craving something light but filling and also fresh tasting so I decided to give Lafa a shot. And thank God I did! Portion sizes are HUGE! Prices are great! Quality is amazing!!! My only suggestion to the reader is to get more sauce on the side as the food soaks up sauce quick but that obviously has nothing to do with the establishment. Also the best baklava I’ve ever had in my entire life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have ordered from Lafa both at the Restaurant and used delivery for work functions. I can always count on Lafa's for a great experience from start to finish. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is delicious. What sets Lafa apart, is their exceptional delivery service. Despite the challenges that can come with delivering hot, fresh food, my orders arrive promptly and in perfect condition. It's clear that Lafa values its customers and strives to provide the best dining experience for them.

An extremely poor execution of a "Mediterranean" Chipotle's. I will NEVER eat there again, nor recommend it to ANYONE.

Stopped in and was pleasantly surprised. What a change from the typical fast food on offer. I ordered a huge salad bowl with spicy falafel as my protein with a delicious jalapeno dressing. You get this for under $13 and includes half a pita bread. Quality food and great value. What's more there were lots of happy customers and the atmosphere felt vibrant. Highly recommended. An added note: as a new diabetic I'm very mindful of my sugar levels. I ate the entire bowl and was pleasantly surprised it did NOT greatly spike my glucose levels. This is the biggest meal I've been able to enjoy (without repercussions) in a while 🙂
