This place changed! The original owners sold it, it has become very expensive. And lack of food quality!👎

The lunch portions are average and what you can expect to be served. I ordered their grilled chicken and it came out quite dry but the plantains and mixed rice was good. Nothing to rave about here and no one item that I can say was great. An average dining experience.

Fast, inexpensive and nice staff.

First of all, they don't speak English. Not a problem since I could point to what I wanted and when I saw this HUGE pork chop that was what I wanted. I don't know what the Latin or Cuban name of the dish is but it was grilled onions and a batter less deep fried pork chop. I had a rice with black beans and plantains. Everything was delicious!!! And !!! It is just around the corner from the Courtyard Marriott West Miami.

This place is awesome, if you go to Miami like a tourist like me and go to "famous" places to eat down 8th Street, Miami Beach or Downtown Miami, you found those places are ok, but you will notice no many Cubans go there. I found this place thanks to the manager of my hotel, I ask like any other was is the best place to eat in Miami..... she told me go straight is this place call Las Mercedes (she eats there for 20 years) This restaurant is for Cuban people, all bean are boil very early in the morning and that make a huge difference in flavor, the owner is very nice and we talk a lot every time I go there, prices are for working people when you go there you see a lot of blue collar people and they come and go all day. The only downside I will found is that they open 6:30 to 6:00 but other than that for flavor, service and price this is the best place to eat in Miami, the have specials for every day of the week and I tried all of them all I can said is Yummyyyy !!!

Every time in Miami at my companies close by office I look forward to eating here. The food is delicious, served up quickly by servers who are attentive and very friendly! This is a must stop by and eat here place!

This is not only the best food in the area it's the cheapest. It isn't fine dining but excellent Cuban food. I had the roast suckling pig. It was excellent. Went back for breakfast the next morning. Total for two cooked breakfasts with toast and coffee $7.

This is a nice Cuban restraunt serving a mix of local clients. You will see the well dressed to the blue collar worker. This is a busy small restraunt nestled in with other businesses and restraunts next to the interstate. If you don't speak Spanish, you will have trouble ordering but you won't have any problem getting thier best effort to serve you delicious Cuban cuisine. My family and I dropped in for lunch during the week. We ordered from thier lunch buffet with the help of our waitress. The food was very good and the prices very reasonable. We would stop here again without any hesistation. Thanks Mercedes of Miami.
