Loved the fig and olive mini trees. Food was verygood. Sweets were amazing. However, the nuggets we ordered tasted like fish,probably fried with the same oil as fish.

The food is incredible. Everything is always fresh and full of flavor. The falafel is my favorite in Rochester. The baba ghanoush is out of this world!! Excellent option for lunch and dinner!

Its rare that everything on a menu is a 5 star dish; but this place always delivers. Just had a lamb shank special that was perfect. Love this place!

I'm visiting from out of town and where I live has very limited and not great middle Eastern food. I heard amazing things about the place and ordered some take out. Pita wasn't heated (this is unimaginable to me). Excellent babaghanoush. Chicken shawarma was fine but the rice was hard, like it had been cooked hours earlier. Baklava was good, yalenchi were nothing different than I could have gotten at a Greek diner and without a lemon wedge. Other than the rice and pita, everything was ok and nothing was memorable. 😞

Chai was the best I've had, hummus was creamy and tasty. Lamb shank was tender, enjoyed all items we ordered and had extra to take home.

Delicious recipes unique to the area, Levantine's is now a staple of the neighborhood. You're likely to see me personally in there bi-weekly to grab a hot Shai Karak alongside an Original Fetteh Bowl, their flagship dish to my eye anyway. -flavor profile is amazing. I've always found Mohammad & Beth to be kind, courteous, & professional as well. If I had to impart any form of constructive criticism I'd say that any restaurant should strive to see an increase in, or a maximization of, the freshness of their ingredients. At one point I was told their mixed salads (edit : their "Bayti salad" only!) are indeed pre-packaged - these impart a moderately higher risk of contamination via e. coli & other pathogens - & I haven't ordered any since, & based on flavor I do suspect their Chickpeas are from-the-can (but I'm uncertain about that), just as a couple examples.

It was very clean and comfortable inside. Nice display of baked goods in a case at the from. The woman working the register was patient and helpful. And my online order was ready right on time and the food had excellent flavor. Make sure to get a hibiscus tea!

Levantines is one of the best places to eat around Rochester! The care and love put into the food here are noticeable with every bite. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly polite and eager to help you. The owner of this place is an excellent chef and great person who still cooks everything from scratch daily and serves it with a smile. There is something for everyone here, and if you haven't had Syrian food yet, you're missing out! Also, don't sleep on the deserts here.... they are also amazing!!

You walk in and immediately smell the lovely food. A fun cultural spot to check out. I'll be back for more baklava!

I saw a post on Instagram for a dinner special and decided to give it a try. Pick up: the service was great. While waiting I got a few baked goods and iced tea. All delicious. The staff and chef were so nice. The food: the chicken was flavored well without being salty. The rice was amazing and so were the sides. The hummus and tabouli were fresh. I want to go back and try the lamb. It's tucked away in a plaza on the west side. But don't pass it up!

Genuinely one of the best restaurants I have ever gone to, and I take every opportunity I can to go! Every dish I have tried is wonderful, but special shout out to the lamb shank special and the falafel.

This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Rochester. Their kibbeh easily ranks among the top three I've ever had. I seriously can't rave about this place enough!

3-year update: Portions are perfect (I most recently got the half rice bowl with 1 side and 1 protein). Rice is great, baba ganoush is great, the kids' leftover grilled cheese pita is great, chicken shawarma is great... Service is always positive and kind too. We had a family dinner here and loved the food. The value for the portions was excellent. Hummus was bomb and chicken and beef had good flavor. We thought the baba was a bit too smokey. The baklava was some of the best I have had and the barley salad was shockingly good-- we went back and bought more treats to-go. Excited to go back and eat here again!

So I came today thinking I had placed the takeout order on GrubHub, only to realize I had forgotten to submit it. Life Skillet the counter actually said you can order here and you'll actually save some money. Show me a taste test want their homemade blended teas which tastes like a chai but it's not and was awarded Rochester's most unique drink and deservedly so. She told me your food will be ready in about 10 minutes and 10 minutes later she brought me steaming hot food well packaged and easy to take home. And I will say that the food is absolutely delicious so I happily do business with this place and happily recommend any locals in the area to do the same.

I love stopping here when I get a chance, everything is amazing. I literally crave the falafel wrap and don't get me started on how delicious they all are . You just have to try them all !!!

Levantine's is by far my favorite place to grab something to eat in the area. The food is always fantastic and the amount you get is generous. Though I always pick up my meals to go, the atmosphere inside the cafe itself is comfortable and clean. I have never been disappointed with the service, the quality, or the portions here. It's my favorite!

I cannot recommend this place enough, the people are extremely friendly and well dressed, and unlike most places now a days you can taste the amount of love they put into the food they make. The salads and rice plates are delicious. The desserts were displayed beautifully in a shiny, well lit display case and taste even better then they looked, I had the baklava and it wasn't covered in honey and was baked perfectly, I can't wait to try the other desserts they have there. The price was amazing, especially since me and my girlfriend were able to get 2 (she got 3) meals out of it. The place was extremely clean and the little bit of the back you can see is gleaming with that beautiful shiny steel. Thank you so much to whoever owns this place and had the dream of bringing syran food to gates! TLDR: Food was amazing, Staff was great, Great desserts and most importantly it was clean!

Goodness gracious! This place has the best food with very reasonable prices. Homemade taste you cant find in other places! Everything is delicious! One of my favorite places in town!

Really love the food and the smiling faces here! I think I could never eat falafel anywhere else now that I've had it at Levantine's.... The dining room is decent for a quick bite but isn't very homey if you're looking for a date night spot or anywhere private. They've done their best with their limited floor area, though, and I think if they had more space it could be really neat!

A hidden gem among Rochester-area restaurants! Everything I've tried here is delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Portions are generous, so I usually get 2 meals out of a dish.

Food was pretty dang authentic from what I can remember of spending time in the Middle East. Generous portions for a good price. Definitely give it a try. I will be back!

Everything is delicious, extremely authentic, and fresh. Rochester is lucky to have such a restaurant. Had the restaurant been in NYC, it would have surely received a Michelin star by now.

I frequently come here. I love the food . Always fresh . You get a lot of food for the price also. There’s nothing like this around the area. I get the eggplant and beef fetteh bowl when I want something warm . I also get the rice plates . Salads and drips are delish

Food is always excellent! Love the wraps especially, and all the specials posted on Instagram so far have been worth checking out. Bonus: the owners happen to be interested in connecting with the community and customers. Such a pleasant experience to dine-in or take out. Updating my review seven months later to include photos from many tasty meals and desserts. This is still my favorite spot in Rochester. Photos include pita wraps with delicious pickles, rice plates (half portion is enough for two meals!), hibiscus iced tea, various cookies and a remarkable medjool date toffee cake. I have also purchased stickers and olive oil from the product shelves near the register with items from Syria.

This is my regular lunch place and I enjoy food here. I mostly have falafal wrap and falafal rice plate and Shai karak tea is one of the best.

The food is always delicious and the customer service is excellent. When they were out of their chocolate chip cookies, instead of giving a refund or offering another dessert option, they freshly baked some for us. Unbelievably generous! And fresh baked cookies are my absolute favorite; so worth the wait! Thank you!

There’s so much depth of flavor in these dishes. I just tried the Baklava finally after months of eating here and trying various dishes. I’ve never had such a delicious piece of baklava in my entire life. Literally. It’s buttery and rich, and perfume-like in the mouth. I’m not sure if they use rose or orange essence, but it’s literally the best I’ve ever had. All of the entrees I’ve had have been wonderful. It’s my go-to for this style of food, every time.

This was one of the best places in Rochester for Syrian food. Everything was freshly made. My husband had the Lamb shank he loved the flavors, and rice was delightful. Loved the mezze platter picking hummus, mama babaganus, Fava beans, tabouli salad, and falafel. Friendly hosts. You order at the counter and pay. They serve the food to the table when its ready. Tables and overall restaurant were very clean.

The absolute best and most authentic middle eastern food in the Rochester area. As a middle eastern family we are very critical of middle eastern food, we have tried several local restaurants and Levantine’s is by far the most authentic. It is our go-to whenever we want a home cooked meal without doing the cooking ourselves. The only thing better than the food is the service; Mohammed, his family & employees always provide a five-star experience. I highly recommend Levantines!

I have been to many Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean restaurants, and this one stands out. The food, service, and decor are absolutely amazing. I tried multiple dishes such as the hummus, kibbeh, baba ganoush, and tabbouli salad. All dishes were extremely delicious all while being pleasantly flavorful and they arrived very quickly. They also have a good kids menu and a variety of vegetarian options. Would highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

The dining room and waiting area is uncomfortably small, I probably got bumped into 4 times while waiting in line. Then waited for 40 minutes for my takeout order before I got fed up and asked for a refund. The manager was prompt and gave me my money back and the food I ordered. I had high hopes for this place, even after the wait and not wanting the food, but the portions of the rice plate were very small; barely a scoop of salad and maybe 5 pieces of cut up meat on plain white rice served with cut up pre-packaged pita. Beef kofta wrap was good. Iced coffee style drink was good. Probably wouldn't go back for food.

So good! A great selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, and everything is clearly labeled. We started with Mama Ganoush (Baba Ganoush, but without yogurt), falafel, and lentil soup. The lentil soup has a lovely hint of lemon, and the falafel and mama ganoush disappeared quickly. My aunt & I each got the half portion rice plates (mine with falafel & tabouleh, my aunt's with beef & tabouleh), and my husband got the Shwarma pita wrap with an extra side of beef & an order of hummus. We all ended up taking food home because we were stuffed. The rice is so flavorful, and the tabouleh is a perfect balance of bulgar & parsley. We were hoping to get baklava, but it was in the oven & wouldn't be ready until dinner service, but the sesame cookies we got instead were a perfect treat with tea at the end of our meal. Not too sweet at all. Looking forward to going back again & trying different dishes!
