This is a small family owned business and the owners are so kind and helpful.They explained the menu options for me and made sure I was going to like what I picked out. The food was amazing, perfect amount of spice, my jerk chicken was tender and falling off the bone and the Oxtail was as well. So delicious. I’m still new to this cuisine, so this was a perfect place to start exploring it and felt safe and welcome to thanks to the service. Check it out!

If you are near Hollywood Beach and Sheridan are, do yourself a favor and try this place. My husband decided he wanted JAMAICAN Food. My son and I stayed in the car because we didn't want JAMAICAN. He came back to the car with JERK CHICKEN and Fried Dumplings that were so good, I went right inside to get my meal!!! That was an excellent choice. Definitely coming back!!!

The husband and wife are so sweet and they really fill your plate. Loved talking sports with the gentleman and they can cook a damn good stew/salmon🔥🔥!

I ordered jerk pork and baked chicken with rice and pea, fried plantain and steam vegetables along with curry goat. The food was so delicious words can't explain. It took me back home. Also ginger beer and coconut water. Owner were great

I usually don’t do reviews but my boyfriend and I haven’t been this impressed in while at any other place. As soon as we walked in, I immediately loved the energy. It was very good lighting, the gentleman was very welcoming, instead of waiting for us to engage he immediately welcomed us, with a smile on his face and had a whole conversation with us. Then he starts to show us all the options they had, mind you we walked in about 7:15, they close at 8:00, usually I’m expecting to see scraps and dried up pans of old food because they are about to close. I said to him “Why do you have so many options 😩😂” I never thought I’d ever say this at any restaurant lol EVERYONE of the pans were full like they were just refilled, and if it was empty, it’s because they have some coming right now, like my large oxtail (iWas every excited about that). I didn’t know what to choose, I was stuck between curry and brown stew. I’m very picky so I want to know what im getting. I don’t want to get a whole plate of something then I don’t like it. So there was another lady that came out, I went up to her so shy and timid and asked her if I could try a Liiiiiiiiittle tiny piece of each and I did the thing with my finger and she repeated what I did and said and I laughed so hard🤣😂. I love that type of customer service. Needless to say I ended up getting a large oxtail and a large curry chicken and my boyfriend got a large Jerk Pork and a large curry goat. We also met the chef briefly, seems like a nice lady, also very welcoming with a smile. The First Lady comes to bag the food and as she’s bagging up the food she’s making jokes, not just bagging in silence then telling us the total. The experience overall was amazing. Definitely 10 out of 10. Price was good for the portion that they serve you. Lot of refreshment offers. I have no complaints 👍👍

I was in town for a quick, turnaround trip and decided on my last day that I would have Jamaican food for dinner. It just so happened that I was shopping in the vicinity of Liks when I encountered a man who told me that he worked at the restaurant and that I should check them out. Because I was using Uber for my transportation, I ended up calling the restaurant multiple times to be sure of the closing time and that they had plenty of what I wanted to eat. Each time I spoke to Don and he was so friendly and patient. I explained my reason for calling so frequently and he told me that he would put aside a plate for me to have it ready when I arrived. The establishment faces the main strip with adequate parking and it is bright and open inside. Don greeted me with a smile as well as the other woman working at that time. The food was nicely displayed and looked absolutely mouth-watering. My order consisted of rice & peas, jerk chicken, steamed vegetables, and sweet chile meatballs. Note: Pictures are attached to my review but you’ll have to forgive their presentation because I ate several forkfuls before remembering to take a few snaps. The food was sooo good! The jerk chicken was falling off the bone with the right amount of heat. Everything else I ordered was also so, so good. If I’m not mistaken I think I ordered a large plate which meant I had plenty for leftovers. If you decide to visit I think you will not be disappointed. Bon appetit!!

I ordered from here via Uber Eats. I ordered patties for the office here. I had ordered a coconut water but they called me to tell me they were out. What a lucky opportunity because I was offered to try their fresh Pineapple Ginger drink. This drink was so fresh and so tasty without the extra sugar. The patties were pretty good but I will definitely order again to try their dishes.

The staff were very pleasant. We were worried considering you could not place orders over the phone, but we took the risk and the food was amazing! My whole family was able to eat twice out of their entree with how much food they gave. We were in love with the flavors and presentation of the food. We were so happy with our food choice and so sad to recall that we could not get this food in SC. We cannot wait to return to Hollywood, Fl and eat it again! Don't sleep on the macaroni! They gave it to us as a courtesy and we were shocked at how good it was!

Wonderful and delightful Jamaican place. It is like eating at grandmas and grandpas place. The food is delicious but the oxtail is magnificent and the atmosphere is great. High recommend to all who love Jamaican food going back to try the jerk chicken.

We came into town for spring break with our kids and happen to stumble across this little gem of a restaurant. Food was excellent and my son and I really enjoyed the oxtails and jerk chicken and beef patties. The owner was very friendly and kind. Keep up the good flavors!!

Not only is the food tasty like everyone on here said, but the owners made the entire experience super pleasant. I went with a friend and she was not very versed in caribbean food. The lady owner (I didn't get her name, so sorry) was very patient and helpful until she decided what she wanted. Described everything to her and gave her the options of what she could have (she got a little bit of everything). On top of that, it was near closing (20 minutes to be exact) and we didn't get any kind of attitude from them, NONE nor did we feel rushed or like we were inconveniencing them. Very warm and considerate people, thank you! The portion was more than the usual too, very generous, i ate twice out of a small serving. Highly recommended! I had jerked chicken with curry chicken gravy, rice and peas, steamed cabbage and plantain mmmm 😋

There is garbage outside near the premises Definitely a place for rats and roaches I asked the owner to let me know who was responsible the city or the landlord so that I could inform the landlord they need to make sure they clean up their garbage The owner was super rude she did not care at all she actually hung up on me and told me to do my own research and find out who the landlord was As a neighbor in this community it is so disgusting to see this garbage everywhere I have a photo now where it was placed back in the bin but this morning it was all over the premises

I literally told everyone I know about this place, the food is so good— meat is fall off the bone and so tender!!! The Jerk Pork was full of flavour and the salt fish fritters got me addicted 😂 please check this place out, my large serving lasted me for 3-4 days! The service is excellent and the owners of the restaurant are so sweet and generous!! GOOD VALUE FOR GOOD FOOD!!! 🥰💪🍖🇯🇲

My first visit there today and I can say that it won't be the last. I was in the mood for salmon and it wasn't on their menu. But the wonderful Lady behind the counter said give me a few minutes and she kindly prepared and cooked my salmon. The meal was Awesome and I am greatly happy with this spot. This place has the best oxtail stew. If you're anywhere near here. This restaurant is a must in my opinion.

I’m from Toronto and I came to Miami for a bit and have been looking for good food! I finally came across this restaurant and the food was excellent, and the service was even better. The owners, are a beautiful and sweet couple who make you feel at home in their restaurant! They are so nice and welcoming. Their food is also really good! I wish I could have gone back before leaving Miami!

The food was amazing….it was so good I dined in and ordered some to take back to my hotel, it was so good we came back the next day for more….. definitely 5 STARS

What a treat to go to a family run restaurant with the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time. We are from San Francisco and don’t have options when craving Caribbean food. My husband drove here straight from the airport on our way to Miami. I had the oxtails and my husband had the jerk pork. The servings were plentiful and perfect after a long flight. Finger licking good!!!! Also the husband and wife proprietors are so nice and welcoming. We loved it.

I was in the area and looking for something non-commercial to get for dinner. My boyfriend found Liks on Google so I decided to pull up and give it a try. I’m so glad I did! The owners are so pleasant and welcoming. And the food was amazing!! We got the large baked chicken, large oxtail, and the macaroni pie. Needless to say, not a drop was left behind. Great flavors all around! We called and thanked them for the fantastic meal. Will definitely be back!

I wish I lived in Ft. Lauderdale because this would be one of my favorite restaurants! Not only did the food taste amazing but the friendly atmosphere and service was spectacular! I had the oxtail I paid $26 for this and it was very nasty and I don’t recommend this place to no one it didn’t even have a caribbean taste. I took the food back and was told that I couldn’t get my money back for a full plate of food.There was no sign that said NO REFUND. They stole my money

By far the best restaurant up and down Sheridan Street. The Jerk Chicken was great. Plantains and rice were cooked perfectly. The skin on the chicken was charred and seasoned to perfection. Have to try out more of the menu. Friendly employees who know their customers, clean place, and great service.

My friend and I came here to pick up some food before heading to the beach. We ended up getting the large jerk chicken and small brown stew chicken; both with cabbage with rice and peas. We ordered some jerk mac and cheese to try it out. The jerk chicken and brown stew chicken were both fire! I had brown stew chicken before and wasn't a fan but Liks was on point. The rice and peas and the jerk mac was also really good. The cabbage was alright. But overall, the food was great. Shoutout to the owner (I think) who served us our food. He was extremely kind and served us some good portions of food. I'll ne coming back again to try out some other menu items for sure.

The food is unbelievable. This is the type of local place you take a friend to impress them with good food and good vibes. Always a warm smile and hot food. The oxtail fell off the bone. The gravy was sweet and mixed perfectly with the rice and peas. The baked macaroni tasted like it had 5 different cheeses. And it still had a nice crust on it. I loved all the food. Every time I go there I feel like it was money well spent.

I was looking for a great local Jamaican spot and I think I found it! The oxtail, jerked chicken, and brown chicken stew were all insanely amazing. Everything was seasoned extremely well and the meat was fall off the bone tender!! The rice and beans and cabbage were also perfect. And most importantly the service was excellent. Smiles light up the restaurant, feels like I was walking into home.

Liks was absolutely amazing, the food was flavorful and the portions were a great size. The smell of the Jamaican cuisine was sensed as soon as I walked into the restaurant, with the sweet sound of early 2000s reggae. The service at looks was familial and the owner and her husband were incredibly friendly. The oxtail was delicious and the sweet chili peppers were tasty and a great compliment to the yellow rice. I cannot wait to return to Liks and recommend anyone in the Hollywood/Miami area to try it, you won’t regret it.

You know how you see something get really excited to try and finally get it and it isn't giving what it was supposed to.... This isn't that scenario at all Saw the pictures on a day it was closed came that following Monday (today) ordered the oxtail and let me tell you I was very beyond impressed. It was so good. Look exactly like the picture i saw. They actually have a small oxtail option. And I didn't feel cheated on what I received vs what I paid. (If you go to Dutch or Golden then you know what I'm talking about) This place is definitely worth a try.

This Jamaican restaurant surpassed my expectations. The owner is kind, poised and generous. Her food was phenomenal. Flavorful, fresh and fair priced. The fried chicken had the perfect crunch and taste down to the bone. The braised oxtail was tender and juicy. The curried was aromatic and delicious. She also had some specials that I’m excited to try in the future including salmon and meatballs. I have high expectations as I hail from east Flatbush. This restaurant surpassed many.
