As soon as I walked in I noticed the place needed to be swept I placed our order and when we sat down the table next to us was dirty and covered with food and sauces and remained that way till we finished eating.

Gave me the wrong order. Someone else got my cheesecake and shrimp with fish. Instead I got chicken and hushpuppies.

Ordered on app almost two weeks ago, got to store and they were closed. Talked to a manager and was told I could get refund. It was a 75 dollar order. Two weeks later no refund and can’t get anyone to answer the phone when I call. Not good customer service. This was the one in Albuquerque on San Mateo

The teller was not taking orders he was in back really is this what we now call customer service?

Went a few weeks ago on a Sunday. They open at 10, we got there at 10:15 and the one and only employee that was there was walking out the door saying she’d be back, she needed to go to the bank. We left and don’t plan on going back.

Stopped in for a lunch. Service was quick. Fish was cooked well. Sometimes it is extra oily but today the fish was great.

Awful, especially the review responses (likely automated, lol, way to pretend you care) Update 8/8/2024 : This place needs a visit from the health inspector. There was literally a fly in an ice cube from the soda machine. Just wow. Never seen anything like this before.

Husband loved fried fish sandwich and chips. I enjoyed grilled fish and shrimp

This location knows what they are doing. Everyone is nice at this location I don't think I ever had anyone rude here. Everytime I go I always get fresh chicken or fish and it's so good that way. The only issue is that I seen is the tables don't get clean a lot, couple times I went in there and see some tables that are dirty and also go back to the fries that you were during previously the waffle fries is not the best but everything else is awesome

I was very disappointed in the food I received today I haven't been to Long John Silver's for over a year because last time I was too greasy this time the coleslaw was soggy and a fries were old the only thing good was the fish I will not be returning again if I could post a picture I would

The store is showing signs of age, but the cod meal was hot and delicious

I used to love this place. I haven't been there in years and wow has it changed. I don't know why this place has just gone down hill. The restaurant atmosphere feels sad and lonely. The food was decent and the employee was friendly.

Extremely disappointed in my experience. How can a restaurant stay in business and they won't even post the actual price of the food? I asked for the price of a #11 and the cashier quoted me two different prices. I asked for the manager to question her about the prices and I was told she wasn't available. I compared the price to what was stated online and it is completely different as well. Please explain LJS...

It took over 20 minutes to get a to go order.

Not what it use to be, slow service and price is up. But the food is still the same, (good).

Had to leave absolutely the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been in! Check the air diffusers above the food delivery area and the wall above. Also all tables and floors were disgusting never seen a restaurant this bad!

Great food have had zero bad experiences there just good food

The main problem is the cost. The same food that just a few years ago would've cost $20 was now was close to $50. Of course that's not the restaurant's fault - thanks to federal government stupidity EVERYTHING costs more today, including the labor, supplies, utilities, and building maintenance that went into what I bought. But that high price will keep me from returning any time soon. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. I love those aspects of my visit. The building could perhaps have used some closer attention - it seemed just a bit seedy, but I can live with that. I just wish I could regularly afford to go there.

Long John Silver's has really gone down. You could taste the old cooking oil, it was extra greasy and it had no flavor like it use to have.

My all-time favorite fried fish place hush puppies are awesome the chicken planks rule also

The service is very slow and got food poisoning there. At one time it served good food, but not at the San Mateo location. Very bad service there. Don't eat at the San Mateo location .Was sick for 2 days with food poisoning. The location doesn't appear to be clean. Going to contact the health department.

Check you order before you leave, this was around 4 pm. He first didn't give me my cheese bites then I left thinking the rest of my order was there because I had two other boxes when I got to the hospital to feed my father the two boxes had the same order both fish! When I ordered one fish and one shrimp....

The food was really bad, they recooked the fish it was terrible.

4/6/24, 7:45 PM - The dining room was filthy. Especially the floors. The food was horrible except the corn. The fish, chicken and green beans were cooked to death and ultra salty. The fish was so overcooked it was rubbery. The cashier mumbled and spoke so softly that we had to keep asking her to repeat what she had said. Overall…suffice it to say that we will not go back!

I’m from NJ and LJS is few and far between. Whenever I visit NM I try to stop in for a meal. Delicious. The employee behind the counter was so friendly and courteous. Ronnie and his crew did a fantastic job, they were busy but Ronnie still managed to walk dinner out to patrons, such service. Way to go Ronnie. Job well done.

We ended up leaving the store, they only had two employees running the whole place. We left and went to Outback restaurant where by the time we would have gotten our food at your store we were already enjoying appetizers and drinks.

Went in 3 24 24. Got order way wrong. Just so wrong and manager wanted tried to correct. Still wrong. Level of employees...low so evident. I was highly disappointed.

It was good Friday and of course, extremely busy. There were no tables or places to wait for our to go orders. It was about a ten minute wait. And worth it! The food was delicious 😋

Usually the food is really good. I haven't been here in a long time, but today it seems like the food was old and warmed up in a microwave or something. Next time I'll just go to another location.

4.5 So I am just a LJS fan and have been for like 25 years or something. When I crave it, then I have to have it. I think you like it or you don't. If you like it, then you will enjoy the food here! I always get the #1.

WOW, the difference is amazing!! A few years ago this place had gone downhill bad... Other than the prices going up (as they are everywhere 😞) the quality of the food and service were 100% better!!! If you haven't been in a while, it's definitely worth trying again!!!

Was one of my childhood favorites. Tried the location on San Mateo. Fish was over salted and dried out. Looked like it was fried the day before. Didn't give me the chicken I ordered fries were soggy. Will not be returning.

This is the worst Long John I have ever been to. Order was wrong, food was cold and greasy, and took over 30 minutes to get my food. Never heard back from corporate or the restaurant. Completely disappointed!

Place closes early doesn't want to make money bunch of slackers

I haven't been here for a couple of years. Service was better than before, but food was subpar from what I remember. Even with the face-lift on the building, the dining area seems cramped and uncomfortable.

Not to many as there use to be, love there chicken planks with the extra crispy. And never go wrong with the Hush Puppies.

I love their food! The fried clams are my fave but I like it all! Atmosphere a lil drab. Been the same for years and years! Huge portions! Yummy! I would recommend avoiding the central and atrisco location. The staff is horrible. Forget items. Poor portions. Take forever. Get the unsupervised teens out of the kitchen. Or at least put a responsible adult in charge. Kids leaving the counter to talk to girls. Fighting amongst each other. Being rude to customers who have waited a really long time! The San Mateo location is so much better.

I never wait long for my food, no matter the number of people inside. The food is always on point and just as ordered. With there being very few locations in Albuquerque, I'm thankful it is still up and running as well as it is.

Not super fast, but surprisingly, it wasn't that greasey. The service was awesome. There were only 2 workers so it took a minute to get our food. But it was well worth the wait.

Was odd to see sign advertising for help as I was only car in lot and customer in store. Employees sitting at empty tables as I opened door but promptly arose to wait on me. Gentlemen at register quite nice and took time to review the menu with me. That was quite refreshing as it had been a long time since I had been here. He asked my preferences and made suggestions based on my responses not some pre programmed response he had been told to say. Could hear employees conversing and preparing online orders as I was getting my drink and preparing to leave. Expensive like everything else these days but will be back.

They have improved the breaking and it's less greasy.

The place is awful and needs a renovation or a good cleaning! The staff have NO time for upkeep, they are so flooded with customers and not enough staff. Just as mentioned over a MONTH ago, look at the vent above where ALL food passes! GROSS! Customer service is top notch and overworked.

Bryneen is so friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my meal and watched her work very well with all the customers she is just a delight!

So the reason for 1 star is the lady that was working was rude to me and the guy working he gets 5 stars he was chill and was trying to make it right but she was not I was over charged an she said well order online.

LJS is to fish as McDonald's is to hamburgers. The food was tasty, healthier than a burger. Satisfied a craving for seafood.

Worst LJS I've ever been to in multiple states! No drive through. Walked in, rudely advised at least 30 min wait. GET REAL. I completely understand why 90% of LJS have closed for good

It had poor customer service and dinner wasn't clean and all tables were dirty.

We ordered two fish pieces and chips. Food was hot but very greasy. Oil needed changing. Most dinning area was closed off. Bathroom was very dirty.

The lady that was running the register was very polite and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure our order was correct and that we were satisfied with everything

Shrimp was mostly breading, clams were much better. My order was to go but did not get my slaw. Staff was only two people but they were working hard. The building is old and mostly clean except for the air vent right above where you order and pickup your food.

Ordered a fish chicken n shrimp mail to go. Got home and only the shrimp and Fryes were in the box

I got the fish and chicken, both delicious. A lot of places go too heavy on breading (looking at you raising canes) but I really felt there was plenty of meat inside just the right amount of breading. I love Long John Silvers in general but this place was the best LJS I’ve ever had. Wish I lived nearby so I could come more to this location. Keep it up!

The fish was overcooked but the real problem was the salty taste. It was so salty it was almost uneatable. Never again.

Haven't been there in probably 15 years. The food is still good but not as good as I remember.

Way too much breading on fish and shrimp.

Got there just before 9pm and was told I couldnt eat inside even though it clearly stated on the door the dining room was open till 10pm. Most people might not think its a big deal but I work out of a car and the last thing I want to do is spend more time in it eating. To top it off the girl behind the counter was rude and made smart a$$!comments to me when I brought it up. If you dont like your job go somewhere else. Its not the customers fault.

I love LJS! I ordered fish and shrimp to go and it was ready withinin minutes was perfectly cooked, and .the cook himself delivered it to where I was waiting. Place was great. The only place I would have rather been was fishing....

Didn't have a drive thru other than that it's a nice LJS.

Already spoken to Steve and he is going to handle the situation that took place at that location. Because of him I will continue to give his chain a chance.

Food was okay. Staff was great. I think it's time to remodel the place. Very outdated. Note to management---clean your intake vents by the kitchen door. You will give a WAY BETTER first impression.

The crew here is great. I've been twice within the past month, and they have been slammed. On both occasions, the crew was rolling with it and always maintained an upbeat attitude.
