This place is such a cool dining experience from top to bottom. Don’t be in a hurry cause they take the time to do each course perfectly!

The food was very memorable. Crawfish Cheesecake appetizer is a must try. The Ribeye Chimichurri & Crab Cake were excellent. The historical house converted into a restaurant is really neat to dine in. Plenty of space and ice cold A/C. The staff are really friendly and our server Avalon explained everything in detail. She definitely added value to our dining experience. Overall happy with all aspects of The Mabry, and will return.

This hidden gem of a house restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The warm, inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home, while the eclectic, internationally inspired menu offers a delightful culinary adventure. Each dish is a delicious masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Some of the BEST good in Shreveport!! The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff that elevate the dining experience. Whether for a casual meal or a special occasion, this place is truly exceptional.

Fine dining in an intimate setting, outstanding and attentive service, with next-level food quality! This, all tucked away in a 1900's home and the neighborhood of some of Shreveport's first citizens.

The service was great, the food was great! It is probably one of the most expensive restaurants in the area though.

Went for my moms birthday. Old school but very nice. The service was perfect friendly and informative. The food had some misses—dressing too sweet duck too much black pepper but overall everything was fresh and tasty and the chef I’d definitely trying which I appreciate.

I found this jewel by happenstance for my and my wife’s 12th anniversary and I would highly recommend this establishment to any and all of my friends. Let’s start with atmosphere You walk in to an older historic home and are warmly greeted by the host and waiter. Who quickly take us to a table where the waiter lights a candle for you and sits you down. Where he quickly recites the specials for the night. We tried the quail over sweet potato pancakes. Very well prepared and tasted great Then my wife had a grill romaine salad which was great and very flavorful. Entree was for both of us red snapper with ceab meat. I will have to say that it was the best food I have ever ate and my wife agrees For dessert we decided on bread pudding with jack Daniel’s sauce. Not a thing to complain about This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives. Thanks for everything. We will be back next year if not sooner.

Excellent food! My favourite place in Shreveport !

The food was fantastic. A restaurant in an old house was a great atmosphere, like several restaurants in Charleston and Savannah. I was impressed that the server knew everything about the menu and specials, without pausing or looking up anything!

Attended my wife's Christmas dinner here it was a fantastic experience .Food was top notch our server was excellent dealing with 12 people he didn't miss a beat ! Altogether it is well worth a visit highly recommend

My favorite thing was an appetizer called the Crawfish cheesecake. It was simply amazing!

If I could give it 10/5 stars I would. Argentine Ribeye and salmon were phenomenal. Apple Tart was phenomenal.

Our favorite place for special occasions.

The place may look small and cozy from the outside, but make no mistake, this restaurant can house a lot of people. They get very busy during weekends and for good reason. The food is delicious and the servers are simply impeccable. They have the daily specials memorized without a hiccup and try hard to make your experience as memorable as possible. We went for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Would definitely go back again.

The food was great. It took an hour just to get our appetizer. We were there over 2 hours. They automatically added gratuity to our table of 6, which they only hurt themselves when they did it. Service was not a 5 star. I just felt like the waiter could have been more attentive. We ordered one of the specials, which was $65. The prices were what I was expecting. They did nothing special for the birthdays we were celebrating. The steak was really good and so tender with a crisp to the outside. I would go back.

There isn't much like the mabry house. It's 100% worth going for. Highly recommended you call for a reservation. He will pay between $35 to $70 a meal. It's probably one of the better anniversary places in Shreveport. This is not a place that actively tries to overbook the restaurant. They execute a flawless and controlled dinner every evening. The nut covered fishes are highly recommended when they have them available. The pecan crusted chicken and shrimp is excellent as well. The presentation is excellent. Small wheat rolls are offered as a complimentary appetizer. A palate-cleansing sorbet scoop is offered before the meal. The desserts are small but very artistic and tasty. Overall I highly recommend any couple visiting. You'll enjoy the charm and the food.

I loved the waiter. He looked like Harry Potter and he was so funny. The wine was so good and so was the food. It was a little on the pricy side but honestly totally worth it. I enjoyed my time there. Will definitely be coming back

Second time I tried to eat here but too bad there is a dress code,bad hours and have to have a reservation from out of town would have been nice now never know

Mabry House is the gem of Shreveport Louisiana. Would certainly dine here again. Five star dishes with excellent service. Highly enjoyed the veal Oscar and Caesar salad. Macadamia crusted mahi-mahi was superb as well.

I had a great experience! It was nice and cozy when I went. I have been to 2 Johns, Earnest, and Stone forks on multiple occasions. Hands down Mabry out does them all. The food is delectable and fresh. The other restaurants I mentioned are higher priced for entrees and when I'm done I'm not quite full. At Mabry House the entrees are cheaper and I'm not still hungry when I'm finished. But because it's cheaper the quality is not lessened. In my opinion it's greater! I have been a few times and have only had two different waiters. One was great, the other was knowledgeable and knew the menu but lacked some people skills; he still was good though and not a bad waiter. For your first time I would recommend going for an early dinner on a Tuesday night. They are usually not as busy and our waiter was able to spend a little extra time with us on the menu the first time we went. He even brought us a sample of the sauce that went on the Argentine Ribeye entree. Although my favorite is the the filet. The atmosphere definitely stays true to the historic Highlands side of Shreveport. As younger dinning customer, I appreciate there being a place that captures that window of time. I don’t mind the mismatched plates and such. But I could probably care less what they do esthetically as long as the food stays great!

My 60th birthday party dinner was superb in every way. Definitely the place to come to celebrate 🎊 The staff treats guests like royalty and the menu is excellent.

My husband’s company has had their Christmas party at the Mabry House for several years now. It is always good food and good service. Last night, did not disappoint.

We were celebrating our 35th Anniversary. This was definitely the place for a special occasion. The atmosphere was romantic. The food was amazing. I tried my wife’s Snapper and crab. Wow! Everything was great and we finished the meal with their family’s bread pudding and coffee. We just can’t say enough about this great find. If you haven’t tried them I highly recommend, they won’t disappoint.

My wife and I visited Mabry House for a special occasion, and it did not disappoint! The food was truly among the best we each have ever enjoyed, and the service was great as well. Don't be fooled by the fact that the exterior needs some TLC... The kitchen is where the magic happens! All that being said, Mabry House will have to remain a location for special occasions only, if you catch my drift. ($$$)

Amazing place and awesome folks working.

Love restaurants in old houses. They allow you plenty of time for you to settle in. Waitress explained everything. All answers were great. She did not skip a beat. Food of course was good. They go out of their way to do special request if they have the stuff. No rushing you. When you are done you are taken care of and your next dish is not thrown at your table. On top of that she was training someone. Also like that they have a chef's table.

My friends and I wanted to try this place since we moved here. It did not disappoint. The ambiance, the service, and selections were top-notch. The food was fabulous. The starter bread was fresh with a hint of sweet. I went with the shrimp and grits topped with crumbled chorizo...uhm yum! My entree was the flounder - a special - with scalloped potatoes, and seasoned vegetables. I was too full to finish, but enjoyed my leftovers for breakfast the next day (don't judge!). I have to say the oreo cookie pie selection for dessert was the one thing I didn't enjoy, but the homemade ice cream totally made up for it. Be aware, parking is limited. I wholeheartedly recommend this place! Enjoy.

The food was OK but the waiter made me even scared to ask for lemon for my drink. He said he would get to it when he got through telling us about his food as if he was the cook. Very uptight And we went there starving and he refused to even give us bread until our food came out which was an hour and a 1/2 after we got there

An outstanding fine dining experience from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. We were cordially welcomed the taken to our table with our name on a decorative ornament. Our server quickly waited on us and was very familiar with all menu items. The crawfish bisque appetizer was flavorful and spiced well without being overly hot (spicy hot). The server reset our place settings for each course. The selections for main courses are nicely varied with an array of seafood and steak options. Each item had a unique sauce or flavor. I had the Ribeye that has a cilantro based topping. The dessert I chose was a piece of flour-less chocolate cake that was rich and decadent, not to mention beautifully plated. The atmosphere is charming in an old Victorian home. The only thing I missed was background music, making it a little awkward when seated close to others. Some light jazz would be perfect. I can't wait to return!

A gem in our city. My comfort zone is more sports bar than pallet cleansing sorbet but I'll make an exception any day if The Mabry House is an option. I've visited numerous times in their 20+ year history and never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is pleasant and quiet, the wait staff is always on point and the food NEVER disappoints. The apple balsamic salad and duck are my go-to's but on the visits where they weren't on the chef's menu that evening; my alternative quickly became another favorite. Ginger is a delightful lady and eager to visit at your table and make you feel welcome. There are other very good restaurants in town but none better.

I posted a review in January that our waitress nearly set me on fire with a lit candelabra that was knocked over in my direction. Luckily, I wasn't set on fire, but was sprayed with hot wax. My clothes were ruined. Not only did Ginger, the owner, not want to replace my clothes, she was extremely rude to me. She also vindictively contacted my husband's employer and spoke to his supervisor to try and get him FIRED. My husband who was NOT at our dinner. Since Ginger likes to contact people, so do I. Let's see....the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Louisiana Alcohol Tobacco Control, state fire Marshall, city fire Marshall, Department of Environmental Health, LA Department of Health, and the Office of State Inspector General/State of Louisiana. Shall I go on? If you so much as breathe our names in the direction of any living being, or otherwise, I will contact my attorney, file a restraining order against you, and will call all the local news agencies for a consumer alert letting them know what you have done, what a poor business owner you are, and how you treat longtime patrons who have spent A LOT of money in your establishment. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself! But I doubt you are.

If you're looking for a fine dining experience with great food in a warm environment, Mabry House is the best.

It was a wonderful experience. Staff is very friendly and the service is outstanding. I cannot brag about the food enough, absolutely delicious. We were not disappointed. We already have our next reservation. Cannot wait to go back. Please do not hesitate. This is now my favorite fine dining restaurant.

Consistently exceptional fine dining. Order whatever you like, you won't be disappointed. We love the specials. This was scallops and quail for appetizers and filet mignon and duck mains.

One of the best kept secrets in Shreveport. If you are in town this restaurant has to me on your dinner to do list. Just make sure you make your reservations in advance. Where do I start you are treated as royalty as soon as you walk in the door. The appetizers were perfectly prepared. The main course were all seasoned and cooked to perfection. All of our plates were completely devoured. The wine was a perfect complement to our meal. Five 🌟

The food is excellent! We were met at the door by the owner's wife. She welcomed us in and took us to our table. The service was beyond imaginable. We very much enjoyed our dining experience. It was memorable indeed!

Perfection, everytime we visit. The food, the staff and the setting are excellent.

Service was very slow. I believe they were short staffed like many places are today which is not my reason for four stars. I had caesar salad, crab cakes and dessert. Caesar salad was normal. The crab cake itself was very good but the creamy tomato butter or tarter that was on top tasted like the container of salt was accidentally dropped in it. Bread pudding was too hard around the edges.

Easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to ever. This has to be one of the best culinary experiences in America.

Mabry House is definitely a MUST. It is by far our favorite restaurant. The experience is overall unmatched for fabulous food and service.

This restaurant is in a beautiful old house, so there are not many people to each room. This makes for a cozy, quiet experience. Service was wonderful. Our server was very helpful with info about the selections. Food was very fresh and good.It is pricey, but it is great for a special occasion. Every meal will probably be at least $50.

Quaint little place with delicious food. Not quite as fine dining as I expected but respectable. Place was kind of cramped and noisey, it had a similar feel to going over grandma's house for Christmas dinner.

We often go here to celebrate our anniversary, birthdays etc. The food and service is always great. I also support this restaurant as it is a fine example of a way to preserve historic structures.

This is the best restaurant in town! We did the chef's table one night and that was even more amazing! Great quality food, expertly cooked and seasoned. Be careful keeping up with the wine pairings if you do the chef's table and you're not used to drinking a lot.

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner with my wife and my parents! I absolutely love the steak and my wife enjoyed the fish! We had the bread pudding and key lime pie for dessert! Amazing! My favorite restaurant in SBC! Great service and food!

The Best food and service anywhere in town

We had a lovely dinner tonight. We had the grilled mozzarella salad and fried conch for appetizer. The entree was the veal oscar and the lamb. For dessert we ordered the key lime pie and the chocolate cake with homemade vanilla ice cream. Please excuse me for not naming the exact names of the dishes. Everything we ate tonight was delicious. The only thing the veal oscar could've been a larger portion. Loved the atmosphere and warm and very knowledgeable waitress (don't recall her name). Highly recommended the Mabry House. This was the last high-end restaurant I wanted to eat at in Shreveport. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Nice atmosphere and very attentive staff. A good place for a romantic or special occasion dinner. The downside: It was rather pricey and both of the entrees that my wife and I had were too sweet.

Grateful to get a table for eight we took the plunge Friday night. The restaurant was full, and the servers and kitchen were surely stretched to the limit. Appetizer trays for the table were excellent. Same for the Gouda soup and salad. Almost non-existent these days, the lettuce was torn, not cut. Let this be a clue. My steak was delicious as was my wife's fish. My steak had more topping than I prefer, but a little raking with the knife solved that. The table shared 5 or 6 different desserts, all singularly good, instead of the all too familiar whatevers you usually get.

It's been years since we went to the Mabry House, but one of the best anniversary dinners ever! I've been recommending it to any and all...
