Service was a little slow when I was there on a Sunday afternoon but I was busy catching up with a friend so it was ok. I really like visiting this place when I come back into town to visit family and friends. The food is always good with lots to choose from and it's such a nice location by the river.

The food and service was amazing

We always get the large cobb salads. In the past we had left overs and now we're lucky if we get enough. Don't know what happened but are salads use to be much larger.

Food is always amazing, however every single time we've ordered takeout they always forget the breadstick that comes with the pasta :(

We ordered take out while camping in the area. The Thai wings were delicious and were served with homemade ranch dressing. I got the humble pie and it was just ok. The pizza was too thick and bready for my tastes. The toppings were delicious though - it’s a white pizza with ricotta, spinach and mozzarella. My husband got a thin crust meat pizza and he said it was really good. So I’d recommend getting a thin crust versus the regular. The restaurant was easy to get to and had plenty of parking. The server at the pick-up station was very friendly and our order was ready on time. We got to-go, but I did peek at the inside and it looked really cool.

Delicious pizzas. We have been 3 times, and every time the food has been great with excellent service. Our waitress Catherine (Cat) - we have had her 2 of the 3 times - she is friendly, efficient, and what great attention to detail she has! She made us feel welcome.

Good food and service. The nachos were a lot more than I was expecting.

It was fantastic, even with a 1 1/2 and 5 year old. We tried some different beers and drinks. We had a fantastic appetizer, chicken Alfredo was the best I’ve ever had! And I’m pretty much a snob about that. It was creamy and smooth wonderful flavors fresh cooked, because the, the broccoli was cooked perfectly ,on the al dente side. We thought we could sit outside and then we found out we couldn’t because it was too hot so they accommodated us moving us inside to a perfect table. All at all with the appetizer, the chicken Alfredo, and the pizza we ordered… It was five! I had eaten there about four years ago and it put me off because of some of the servers. However, this has refreshed my opinion that this is an excellent place to dine with kids, or without kids. I think it would be a great place for parties, casual dining, and even, romantic lunches or dinners.

Greeted right away and our waitress addressed us right away. The food was average at best. The sandwich was good but the chips with the sandwich was the end of the bag literally crumbs maybe 4 whole chips and the fries with the meal were ice cold like very bad. We let the waitress know but she got very defensive saying that they combine the chip bags and that's why we got crumbs lol makes zero sense chips are not that expensive. She just said sorry about cold fries. Makes no sense to serve cold fries which are not that expensive to a business. She offered no discount or no way to make it right. Just not the experience I'd expect from MacKenzie River. Im a very loyal customer and I love the experience at MacKenzie River I just wish they could've done better and turned it around and made things right.

Great staff! We ordered the pepperoni pizza with added sausage. They forgot the sausage and told us they would cook a new pizza or bring out cooked sausage to which we declined. The pizza was great, staff friendly and drinks very refreshing.

This is right by the water and the food is great.

Waitress was being rude and hostile with us. When she handed my family their food she was snappy like she was in a hurry. Food was raw never coming here again.

We have loved coming to Mackenzie River for years. I started eating here when it was still in the old location across town! The food has always been excellent. Service is usually fantastic, too. (The atmosphere sadly changed a bit after the remodel and the tv’s cheapened the family vibe, though we still like to go). All in all, it’s our favorite. However, in the last 6 months or so the food has been really off. The pizza crust is flat and yeasty, tasting like the rising times are off or the dough is old and baking oddly. I understand that this can sometimes happen in baking with variations in atmosphere/temperatures that can affect the yeast chemistry etc. but it’s literally been every time we get our usual pizzas for months. The ingredients are also not evenly spread on the pizzas anymore- one piece will have all the peppers, the piece next to it has none. Tonight, the house vinaigrette was way off- super salty and bitter, and it’s our absolute favorite but we couldn’t eat it this time. We have asked our servers about these variations and they usually say something like the kitchen “ may be doing something different tonight”. But consistency is something we really like and we have been consistently perplexed by this change in quality. Hoping this can get addressed soon or we might have to find a new favorite spot! :(

Great atmosphere and decor, fantastic pizza, the Cobb salad is my favorite, limited alcoholic drinks but more beer options. Pizzas always look fantastic and are freshly made. This can create a longer wait time for lunch, was barely able to make it back on a lunch hour!

There was an employee in the kitchen screaming and yelling, making all kinds of sounds. Made the 45 min wait hard to take. We enjoyed coming here in the past but don't know about the future.

They lost one of our pizzas and had to remake it while I stood there for 20 minutes leaving the rest of our food cold

Easy walking from hotels close by, and nice location to walk by the river after dinner.

Had dinner with my family of 6 and had the best time. Taelar was our sever and she was so polite and kind. You can really tell she loves her job. If you get the chance to have her you won’t be disappointed! Food was great too!! 10/10

We looked forward to stopping here on an annual basis. We came here last year and the food is absolutely amazing. We were excited to stop by to enjoy the wonderful food but we had an awful server today. This servers name was Owen. Our food arrived and he purposely spilled ranch all over our table, and it was very obvious it was on purpose. He grab a few napkins and made us clean it up ourselves, and he never replaced the ranch. Overall amazing food, horrible service.

Got sat (there were 2 of us)and watched 3 other tables seated after us get there drinks and orders taken. Mean while we sat with just menus.... no drinks nothing. Did have someone say in passing say she'd be right with us. After 10 minutes still nothing. Like the food and atmosphere but what horrible service!! LEFT and went to Tracys

Ordered a petite sirah and it tasted watered down. Send it back to the kitchen.

Horrible, pizza had 1/2 pound of corn mill on the bottom of it, wings were way over done, salad was made with two week old lettuce. Save your money and anywhere is better than here.. Very sad.

I recently visited this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The food quality is amazing, with each dish bursting with flavor and freshness. Prices are very affordable, offering great value for money. The location by the river is perfect—quiet and serene, making for a relaxing dining experience. The friendly staff added to the charm, providing excellent service with a smile. Highly recommend!

Came for early dinner and sat on the patio. It was perfect! Music was at a good volume, the waitress was kind and attentive, and food was good and hot! The Buffalo mac and cheese is great!

We only did take out. The ordering was easy, just picked up at take out window. The pizza came out correctly. We used the bathrooms and they were clean and the place was really cute and had a riverview. The pizza was good the crust had some herbs in it. Would go again.

Best thin crust pizza I've had in a while

I can’t leave a zero….but would have to. Why? Because after being seated by a young lady that acted like we interrupted her text messaging, we never spoke to another staff member. We waited at least 15 minutes before leaving. We never even got water. We need to try a different time of day……the menu and other reviews look amazing! UPDATE: I called as suggested and spoke to The General Manager. I reviewed our experience with him and he was open and receptive to the review and focused on a way to make things right. His incentive did help a lot given we were skeptical to try again. We returned and our food was really good….My husband and I shared the chicken pesto linguini, small Greek salad and the pear and blue flatbread. We had four children with us and all found something different and tasty for lunch. The children’s menus are fun for adults 😊 Our son loved his Cajun chicken pasta, too. Final word! GO…..speak up if you feel the service needs a nudge and enjoy your time there with family and friends.

Ordered the barbecued smoked pulled pork pizza. I expected tangy BBQ mixed with the pork. Hardly any pork and where's that barbecue sauce Where's that tanginess? forget it. Beer was good Thai salad was excellent

perfect place to stop after a long day of travel. convenient location, amazing food with a wide selection and our server brittney was amazing. the service we experienced was 11/10, she was friendly, attentive great with suggestions/ questions and was spot on with my many modifications to my pizza!

This place is fantastic! Our server Britney was so sweet and very knowledgeable about the gluten free options (of which there are SO many). The food was great, vibe was killer. Highly recommend :)

Me and my husband went here today and it was ok. The atmosphere was fairly loud from the music and it wasn’t very busy but our wait for our food was a bit long. The food was average but really I was hoping for better. My pasta dish was good but I’ve had better. I actually wanted pizza but all the kinds were weird and I wish there had been some traditional kinds to choose from. If you want a modern social vibe you’d like it but I was hoping for more of a cozy quieter place.

Great gluten-free options for pizza. Their gluten-free crust tastes good you can hardly tell that it's gluten-free. Wonderful variety of pizzas, pastas and salads. My kids love the Good Ol' Boy (pepperoni pizza). Their manager or assistant manager (not sure which), Crystal, is a cheerful delight, always smiling and helpful.

The food and service were great! It was the perfect location for an afternoon lunch, next to the river front.

To be honest, this is the first 5-star review I have given anyone. We had the hot Hawaiian pizza and honey BBQ wings. The food was above average. Ronnie is a great server, very pleasant and friendly, and he made us feel welcome. We don't live in Great Falls. We are from Alberta, but our experience has been memorable. We will make the drive again for pizza here.

When we got there it was still pretty busy. So we ordered our food and then we never really saw our waitress. He only came and brought our salads and never really came to see how we were doing or if we needed more water. We waited a really long time for our food. Once we finally got it. He had our food and all these dirty dishes and the rages. We stop a different waitress and told her what happened and she said no I will take these back and get you guys different plates. The manager came over and apologized to us on what happened. She and the other waitress was really nice. because of those two I will diffanly be coming back.

Good food, good service, and friendly staff.

Busy Friday night, but everyone in good spirits. Staff did not rush us. Food was hot and abundant. Clam chowder best in state. Both pesto and Alfredo sauce can stand on their own.

First of all , those of you who know me know I love pizza. That being said, this was an amazingly awesome experience. The pizza was so good. The waitress was awesome. The restaurant is right next to the river. If you are in great falls, Montana You must go.

Had a great meal with a friend I hadn't seen in years. The only bummer was we couldn't get our waitress to stop asking if we were ready to order ever 2 minutes. The host was wonderful he was so polite and cheerful i enjoyed visiting with him. Food was great!!

The Willow Creek sandwich is very good and loaded with meat , a very good deal. The pizzas are tasty but are very shy on meat. If I'm going to pay $ 25 for a pizza I want more than bread , plenty of sauce and pineapple and 7 little pieces of chicken. Several slices had nothing but pineapple on them.

The delivery person was rude and got lost and was very argumentative with me

It was a fun experience with great service and even greater food. A staff member helped us take our leftovers to our car because it had snowed.

Absolutely great pizza. The lodgepoles are a must. Be prepared for a bit of a wait. Oh, and they have beer!

Excellent pizza highly recommended

My mom and I were there about two weeks ago. This was our second time there. We love the Cobb salad, Pesto Chicken linguini, and the Rancher pizza all delicious. We will return soon for a new plate.

The restaurant is located on the banks of the Messuri river and there is a walkway that runs parallel to the river. Busy place, there was a 20 min wait time. Service was superb. Food arrived within 10 mins. Our server visited our table 4 or 5 times for refills and without us asking her. I was surprised to see a lot of kids in this place. Sooooo many kids !!!!

It's our favorite restaurant in Montana. They have the most delightful pizzas, and the artichoke dip was the best we even ever tried. The service always kind, although they are full the most of days. We love the Polynesian pizza.

Food was pretty good. My husband said his Cajun penne was not as spicy as he has had in the past. My pizza was delicious. Service was good. It was just a little noisy.

The food was good, our server was excellent. We arrived later, 7:30-ish, starting just after 8:00, as others paid and left, the cleaning started, mops and brooms were out, chairs being placed on tables. I get the the staff just want to get out and go home, but it was a bit of a sour note to an otherwise good meal.

Ordered a Madison pizza for delivery. See the attached photo, those handfuls of white squiggles are supposed to be ricotta. I use to eat here a lot back in the day. This place, like many, seems to have died to Covid.

We rolled into Great Falls on our way from Southern, Il. We made this our final stopping point for the night before reaching our destination. 1900 miles down. Checked into a hotel around 7 pm and started researching where to eat. Landed on MacKenzie River Pizza Co. Wow, what a great experience. The Great Falls Police department was in the restaurant helping the servers and talking to people to raise money for the Special Olympics. What a great service as they were volunteering their services in full uniform. We spoke with one of them that was from Chicago recently. She was extremely nice and cordial. Also, hats off to the owners for hosting this fundraiser and donations from certain pizzas. The servers were all smiling and fantastic. Your drinks will not go empty. Now for the food. It was fantastic. I had the cheese ravioli and the helping was huge with 2 breadsticks. I loved it and I am a little picky according to my wife. Wedge salad was very good and fresh. My wife had the tomato basil pizza and thought it was spectacular. Thank you for such a great experience.

Nice place with a good atmosphere, and a nice waitress. We waited two hours for a pizza, and my wife’s pizza was cold. The food was good, but not worth the wait.

I'm not sure how this place gets such great ratings. The pizza was bland, and the crust undercooked. The server seemed disinterested in her job, and never checked on anything once the food was delivered to the table.

It's been weeks since my trip to Great Falls and I am still thinking about Mackenzie River's Tuscan Pasta which I had not once but twice on my trip. The food and dessert was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. The service was wonderful. I believe our server's name was Kelsey on the second night. I didn't get our server's name on the first night but she had Barbie pink nails and she was awesome. Both servers were so kind, welcoming, hilarious and Down to Earth. It was just a blast to meet such cool people while sharing a delicious meal with my good friend. I will definitely make Mackenzie River a part of my Trip Must Haves when I return the next time!

It was packed but they still need to cook the pizza all the way. Waiter was fine. Patio seating was cool with the river right there.

This is the worst service I have ever experienced. We arrived and were seated quickly, after waiting 25 minutes and trying to get the attention of a server someone finally came by and said they would be right with us. We then waited an additional 10 minutes with a one year old who was getting increasingly more agitated. After attempting to get the attention of the server who came to let us know she would be with us shortly, we finally left about 40 mins after outer initial arrival. I would not recommend this place based on the horrific service. If they were short staffed, they should not have seated us.

The employees are great. The food is excellent! They have the best based fries I have ever had. The trout did in summer is a must. Highly recommend.

Wednesday July 19 we get into Greatfalls. I loved the place before and was excited to share this with my husband. Being from Canada we don’t have this place. We order the food from this place after a very long drive. Order and go pick the food up. I asked the front desk person, is all the food here. I asked twice. The answer was yep. Both times. We drive back to our hotel. Well one ( his meal) was not in the bag. We called to state this and then asked to have the food delivered. The answer was a no. Spoke to the manager. We agreed to come get the food the next day. The manager said he would also make it right. Well he didn’t. Just got the meal, we paid for and had to drive all the way back to the restaurant again. I thought in this day and age, why wouldn’t there be some sort of a compensation. The food to go on wed night was not what we had expected compared to our many previous experiences .

Good food and very busy most of the time. The service seems understaffed.

We ate at the MacKenzie River Pizza in Great Falls and liked it so much we ate at another in Kalispell a few days later during our Glacier NP road trip. The pizza was great, the beers were great, the appetizer was great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cool too.

I don't understand the hype. We ordered two pizzas, mac and cheese, baked zita and a salad. Average high calorie, food-service food with a very long wait to reach our table. We could tell none of the dishes were actually "made" in the kitchen. Could go to Olive Garden and have the same experience. Even my 17-year old commented on the packaged quality of his dish. For the price I paid I wish I could get this one back.

The food and dessert were soo good! My sister is GF and that's all we ordered. So good we couldn't even tell the difference. Highly recommend if you want a tasty pizza joint! Not too pricey either, very fair.

I love eating the pizza here then taking it home to eat the rest while watching a movie or show. (preferably the show Wednesday) lol
