Chicken Korma and Lamb Do Piaja was way too spicy!! Unable to eat!! I understand that food is spicy and I do love spicy food. However I don’t think Chicken Korma or Lamb should be that’s spicy!!

Lived here my entire life & never knew about this place. 10/10 seriously great food & I've eaten IN India. Only tiny downside is portions could be a little more. Otherwise fantastic.

They just treat their white customers well and disappoint their Indian folks. We reached at 1 pm to this restaurant after 25 mins drive from Anna Marie island and upon reaching, we could see the buffet was there but we 2 families wanted to have our choice food from the menu and asked for the menu to the waiter and then he told and asked his owner and forcefully asked us to have the buffet and did not let us order the food as he did not gave the menu.as there were 3 kids with us so we had no option and started having the buffet. After some time there was a white family came and he handed over the menu to them and was taking order from them. We all really felt disappointed. We deserved to eat a good quality our own choice Indian food. He just forcefully made us eat the bad buffet food which the owner had to finish it before 3 pm. Never ever go there .

Very bad food and also they took 18% service charge form us as we were only 4 people. Staff told us only buffet available but when someone other party came, he started serving them from menu. It is very disappointing, I am never go to this restaurant ever!!

I come here every couple of months when I have the chance and the food is always so good and reasonably priced especially for a lunch all you can eat buffet. Their tikki masala and butter chicken is always so tender and creamy, their naan is the best I've had from an Indian restaurant. Would definitely recommend, the servers are nice and attentive and the food is always lovely

Fantastic Indian food, fantastic service, very clean, very friendly people. The menu is varied with tons of options for vegans, vegetarians, and kids. Everything is fantastic, the vindaloo and samosa chaat are my recommendations. I love this place and grab food here at least once a week.

Finally found best authentic Indian food, in Sarasota FL. They have buffet everyday(except Tuesday). Every single dish is very special and authentic, full of flavor and so tasty. If you want to taste the true taste of Indian food, try to stop by and check it out! They offer free Mango lassi and iced tea with their buffet.

Delicious food and great service. I will be back! I ordered goat saag, and the meat was very tender. I ordered "medium" spice level, and it was a bit hot for me, so I suggest asking for "mild" if you are a wimp about spice. There are lots of options on the menu.

Omg I can’t not describe the food, it is sooo good. I got the butter chicken and the butter naan, they gave me a rice that came with the butter chicken, the flavors were amazing I pour some of the sauce from the butter chicken on the rice and then at it with naan and the flavors exploded in my mouth!! Definitely Recommend

We weren’t sure what to order so we ordered enough for two meals for two. Everything was delicious! And the service was excellent. We will certainly be returning.

Huge menu with tremendous variety. We were eight people for dinner and everyone commented on the quality of the ingredients. I was surprised to see they had goat on the menu and found it to be tender, boneless, and fat-free. Anyone who had a mild spice request was happy with that gentle level. We were the only people in the restaurant so it is easy to imagine service slowing way down as it becomes busier. The interior seems well worn and could use a freshening. They add an 18% service charge for groups.

I had dinner at Maharaja Indian Cuisine about a week ago, and found the food quite good. I got Tandoori Chicken, Vegetables Navratan Korma, and Vegetarian Samosa. I would rate it above average for Indian food. Not the best I have ever had, but quite good and well worth the time and money to eat there. The Veggies Korma was perfect -- I wouldn't change a thing about it. The Veggy Samosa was probably frozen from a vendor, which is fine. I have some in my freezer right now. Nothing wrong with that. The Chicken Tandoori was good, but I wish the marinade had been done such that there was a skin on the chicken. Not chicken skin, of course, but that yogurt marinade usually forms a little bit of a skin. This was just a subjective presentation issue, as the taste of the dish was perfectly fine.

I will come again and give this place one more chance to gain 5 stars. But this time I was pretty sad about the food and little sad about the service. The servers were kind but we didn't even finish eating the meals and they already brought us the check, they didn't even ask if we wanted dessert nor waited for us to finish eating. The atmosphere was super nice, not too noisy, nice music in background and nice decoration. The food ~ rice was delicious but there was a hair in it :( and next time I will try something different because the eggplant with potatoes and vegetables had some very hard pieces in it, maybe it was hard oversized seasoning. I will definitely get garlic and onion naans again. Little disappointed but still enjoyed it.

They delivered this food to us tonight. It was 100% the best Indian food by far in Florida. We are excited the have the food truck by the chevron station because this has been the best meal I’ve had in a long time.

I grabbed some Chicken Madras there, with Naan bread. I requested it super spicy and got that. Very fresh food and hot plates (not just spicy!) The host was very friendly and willing to help me find what I was looking for. They have a long menu, and can be hard to navigate. Also offers a buffet, but I didn't try it. I would recommend the food though!

Could taste tomato ketchup in all base curries, not indian style punjabi food for sure. I was never charged for Onions, limes & pickles in my lifetime until I visited this garbage place. Owner’s behavior was careless, mannerless and cheapie upon general inquiry about the charges. Staff also acted the same way.

Pathetic experience. Very slow service. The owner started arguing for complaining about the service. The curries were thinner than soups. They were literally watery appeared like colored water. The bill had charges for onions and pickle which was never mentioned in the menu. On asking about it the owner was very rude and started abusing us. The food quality was not at all as per reviews. The breads were served long after the curries were served. Would not recommend anyone. Even the owner does not care about the customers and reviews. He is shameless and does not care. He just wants the money and that’s it.

I never pause to take pictures of my food before I eat it because I’m so excited when it arrives. The whole menu is phenomenal and everything I’ve tried has been next level. The naan (my favorite is the paneer naan) is positively amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who likes Indian food.

My MOST FAVORITE Indian food restaurant in this whole area!! Maybe my favorite restaurant period! I come for the lunch Buffett as often as I can when I’m in the area (within 20 miles! Because it’s worth the drive!) But the food is ALWAYS SO FRESH AND SO FLAVORFUL you can tell they always cook with love and a lot of skill! Everything is my favorite! The staff is super accommodating, the alcohol selection is great and that Naan Bread-Woah!! This restaurant is most definitely worth the drive, you will have a fantastic meal and will absolutely want to come back!!! 5 STARS!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If I can rate rate this resturant negative. We order approx 10 dishes and I can not name one which is close to ok taste. All of preparation were like a someone cooking who dnt know basics of cooking. Mango lassi is not liquid like water. We asked for no taste in dal tarka they blamed us you ordered non spicy. Mushrooms like never consumed from a month and spiled. Nan like taco hard shell Charging 5 dollar for just green Chilli. Wow. Very Good practice followed.... tax and service tax. I wish you close this business soon.

We settled & ordered - Chicken Bhunna (Spicy)- I asked for a spicy dish and I don’t know why spicy means more red chili powder for them. It must be a mixture of spices and herbs, not only red chili powder: of course, I had a stomach upset that night. Chicken Biryani: so it was nowhere near to biryani, it was more like chicken curry with rice, sauteed in the wok. it was good to taste, but it was not a biryani for sure. (see the picture) Naan - it was crunchy like hard tacos - when I asked about it, per them- "Naans are like this hard only" - then I realized, I should not have come to this place. for biryani, I asked for onions/lemon on the side (a common practice in Indian restaurants), and they charged me $5 for "Onion Salad." I was visiting Sarasota for a week, and after a couple of days, I craved Indian food (my comfort food) - and I was disappointed. I am not saying the restaurant is bad, it’s just they are targeting white people more and disappointing Indian folks.

This is our go to Indian food. The lunch buffett is very good and a good value in these times. It is tucked away in a strip mall in the viscinity of Detweiler's. Can't recommend enough for those who enjoy this type of cuisine.

I would give 10 stars if I could, I never thought I would love Indian food as much as I do after trying this place. Everything is delicious, and the service is amazing. I urge you to go and try this amazing place.

Average Indian restaurant catering to "American" palates. Had the lunch buffet. All of the food was fairly bland with minimal spices and nothing was even bordering on spicy hot--even the chicken vindaloo. All of the food was lukewarm--expected on a buffet line. Too many chicken dishes, 4-5, with half that in hot veggies dishes. Unlimited Mango lassi to drink. Service was effective, but the young girl working there needs better customer service skills. She gave me the bill when I was on my first plate of food and then she came back shortly thereafter asking if was ready to pay. It was 1:30pm, not 5 min before closing! The restaurant was dark, since the windows had heavy curtains and the interior lights were drab.

Disappointment after a long day at siesta Beach. It had a large variety of food options in lunch buffet. (Chicken Tandoori, butter chicken, chicken korma, curry chicken, chicken garden, chicken dum aloo, veg biryani, paneer saag, pakora, pakora curry, vegan dish etc). However, at 1.30 pm I found the food cold, especially tandoori and few other dishes. The taste was bland and lacking spice or taste. The butter chicken didnt have the chicken the way it should be. The chicken pieces were quite large in size against the authentic butter chicken should be. The desert (gulabjamun or jalebi) wasn't cooked well and jalebi was chewy. The food was definitely not upto mark in terms of taste or prep. Not recommended for non-vegetarians. 2 stars are because the service was good and the rotis were served hot.

I guess the chef here has no idea what he’s cooking,had the chicken methi, which was just chicken curry with a lot of methi thrown in which made the dish very bitter and tasteless, the chicken vindaloo, had no flavour of vinegar and was not cooked proper,the chicken madras tasted sweet, the mixed appetizer the chicken tikka was dry and hard,just a total waste of time and money.

Gurinder (Garry) was fantastic and the food was even better! He was able to help us identify an Indian beer to try based on our tastes that was spot on (Power 10000 is like Stella, flying horse royal is a very drinkable lager that compliments butter chicken wonderfully). The food is so savory and flavorful - we had coconut chicken and butter chicken - both were delicious! Garlic naan and regular naan complimented the meal perfectly. We will for sure be back!

My wife and I had lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed the food. There was much variety, with dishes on the buffet clearly labeled as to "vegetarian", or type of meat included. Everything was hot and fresh, with the perfect amount of spice for us, although several additional sauces and spices were available at the end of the buffet. Hot naan bread was brought to our table. Deserts were available on the buffet table. We do plan to return when we are next in Sarasota and highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been dining here and having take out for several years now. This place is hands down the best Indian cuisine in Sarasota/Manatee county. It is consistently fresh and good. They also have the best Vindaloo I have had.

Extremely disappointed. There were maybe three tables occupied. We put in our order and got our nan and chicken biryani 45 minutes later. The waitress was busy filling takeout orders. Never came to our table to explain the delay. Dropped off the food and disappeared. Food was barely edible. Over cooked and mushy. Must have been reheated from a previous order. When I went to the register to pay the bill ( the waitress never came back to check on us, remember) I told them the nan was greasy, the food and service terrible. No wonder the restaurant was almost empty. Don't trust these fantastic Google reviews. Obviously phony.

Hi This was very disappointing … for several reasons 1. Food took twice as long as initially informed- 60 min 2. Dal makhani was watered down, no flavor 3. Chicken tikka masala had too much salt 4. Lachha paratha was actually a garlic nan 5. Rohan josh lamb was incorrectly done incorrectly- there is not onions and tomatoes in the sauce and tasted raw. One mistake is still acceptable but to not know basic Indian cooking is just unacceptable Fails to meet basic standards of Indian cooking.

It’s the best Indiana food in Sarasota (and maybe the Tampa bay). Chicken 65, tikka masala, butter chicken, naan. It is by far the best In flavor. The little extra price is worth the big bold flavors.

Food was so bad. Reheated appetizers which could be from previous days leftover. Meat was dry & overpriced everything. Not a good experience whatsoever.

The food was mediocre. The somas chat had been previously frozen and I got chunks of cold. The garlic nann was stale and tasted like it had been laying out all day and was cold as well. The main dish also wasn’t warmed up enough. I am disappointed as I just spent $60 and they could t even warm up the food enough.

I ordered Biriyani and pakora. The biriyani was so delicious but unfortunately I found egg shells in it. Also vegetable pakora was burned. Not able to eat.

Beg my husband to try this place because we havent found a good indian cuisine. So we went for dinner. Server and the service is outstanding! Very attentive and also refilling our water and checking up on us. After being here for 7 years, we found our local indian gem. Their dish chicken tikka masala is too die for! I love butter chicken but we will try that next time! My guy is a budlight fan and wanted to try something new, he loves this lager! Great beer!

If you want to experience worst Indian food across the country please try them. If there was a negative star I would have selected that.

For some reason, most of the local Indian restaurants stopped offering buffets at lunch during Covid and never brought them back, but not Maharaja, thankfully. For some new to the cuisine like me - only been eating it a few years - knowing which dish is what is a touch difficult. So, enter the buffet. Try a little to find out if you like it. And the folks here have gotten much better at signage so at least you can attempt to learn the names of all the tasty offerings. So far, I have enjoyed everything I've tried though a few items I'm not sure I'm serving up properly. The samosas are definitely filling, the bhaji I consider more of an appetizer that I eat with my fingers and a bit of chutney. Tikka Masala & Vindaloo are favorites. As for the rest, I'm still learning the names. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and the place is always clean. Wheelchair access is easy with a ramp just feet away from the front door and plenty of room to navigate the interior. Music plays quietly in the background, not intruding on conversations at all.

Fabulous food and service! We went here on Christmas and the staff opened the restaurant early because we had to be on the road and had a long drive. Food came out hot & fresh. A must if you love Indian food and are in the Sarasota area.
