I use to eat here regularly, but started order from Uber eats , The butter chicken sauce was very watery and not rich and buttery, the rice and man was cold , I hope they get back to standard.

Biryani was bland, rice was overcooked. Naan was underwhelming. Portions were decent.

My favorite Indian restaurant, and easily one of my favorite restaurants overall in Columbia!

I ordered lamb briyani..taste like tomato rice.. didn't give any onion..and raitha.. very worst food Update: hello sir.. I am briyani lover ..I am. From south India.but .I have eaten several times North Indians briyani.. I didn't not mention about spicy.. I am talking about spices... there is no spices in briyani...it is just a bland tomato rice Pls improve your briyani standard

Tried Village of India for the first time today, and I got the lamb vindaloo and lamb saag. Order was ready quickly, and receptionist was very nice! Really enjoyed both dishes and will be back! Thank you!

Great food and customer service

Hi, we purchased biryani from the restaurant. The biryani quantity was good, but the food was not tasty. It did not seem to have biryani masala, it was just spicy chili mixed with rice. I would not go again. We trashed the food.

Worst food ... We ordered chicken biryani and veg biriyani both were a disaster. It was just rice without salt , mixed with chilli powder and hard chicken breasts pieces and some veggies in veg biriyani.we regret for ordering there and will never visit again. Its complete waste of money. Edit to providing response to restaurant reply! I had spared several details previously, you are asking for it :) We were passing by the city, we don't live in Columbia, took the food as to go for the ride. I called back just to provide feedback on the food quality, we had no intention of getting refund, I mentioned that to the owner in the call as well. Yes, I was absolutely frustrated because the food quality was so poor, but never did I make any personal remarks in the call or here, it was all about how terrible the food was. For folks reading, just know that - if you say the truth that food is bad, this is what you get back. To the store : Please cross check your video, I never tasted the food at the store (I checked if it was the right order and it it was chicken as we don't eat other meat), if I had tried it, I would have left it just there. I have no reason to lie.

We have never been to this restaurant before and we're so glad we tried this place. This cuisine and the flavors were wonderful, along with the great service. The food came out hot and fresh. We got the Mango Lassi and Mango juice to start our meals with and they were delicious. We will definitely be back again to try other items on the menu!

This place isn't much to look at from the outside. It's in a low rent strip mall. But it's inside it's decorated well and it was very clean. We made our first visit on a Sunday so we could try the Indian buffet. They offered a good selection of dishes and everything appeared to be fresh. I really enjoyed several of the options. They offered several vegetarian options as well as a good number of meat choices on the buffet. I thought the spice level was perfect, but my wife who can't handle spicy very well though it was a bit hot for her. Will definitely visit again.

Wow! We've lived nearby for years and never ventured here until now. Village of India blew us away! The food is fantastic! We had the Lamb Tikka Masala, Lamb Biryani, and the Butter Chicken! They were all absolutely delicious! We also ordered Cheese Kulcha , Naan bread , and Mango Lassi for our meal. Our server was friendly and made sure our drinks were topped off. We definitely enjoyed our time here and will be back with the rest of our family! Thank you! Note: your server will ask you what you spiciness threshold is: mild, medium, or very spicy. We like our food medium to very spicy. I recommend that you choose medium.

Always outstanding food and friendly service. The goan shrimp curry was excellent and I always look forward to the okra.

I've popped by after church for the Sunday Buffet. The food on the buffet line is good. Chai comes with the buffet. I prefer the tasty meals from the menu, even though I have to order naan separately. I usually get one of the delicious lamb or goat dishes, and a samosa appraiser. Unlike some other places that serve goat, it's tender here, rather than chewy like some Caribbean places. The food rating is "A" (as of the end of May), unlike some of the ratings of an Indian restaurant on Bush River Rd. It pays to check the doors of restaurants before going in.

Our family loves getting Indian food here. Start your meal with onion bhajia or samosa for sure. The garlic naan is cooked in an authentic tandoor oven and it shows. Whatever your favorite curry protein, sauce, or spice level, you will be able to enjoy a satisfying and authentic meal. धन्यवाद

Ordered chicken biryani from Village of India and it was a letdown. Uncooked , flavorless rice, no masala, no chicken biryani ingredients, and dry, tasteless chicken made it clear little effort went into this dish. It is just chicken and rice mixed together. Save yourself the disappointment; look elsewhere for authentic biryani.

Discovered this place 3 weeks ago and have gone for lunch multiple times even though it’s a bit of a drive! Very very good food and service, so far the only Indian food in Columbia that you can truly get spicy. I love the Curry Chicken

Eating here was like being teleported to a Dhaba in India. Great food and good price. Had the veg thali, paneer bhurji, and chai. All were really good. They only had one host/server/waitress who was constantly busy but we didn't have any exceptional wait or anything.

Best in the Blythewood/Northeast Columbia area. I've tend to see the issue of parking with other restaurants. Not here. Been everywhere even the new one, happened to forget the name. But the food here just has the consistency and hits every single time.

First time coming and I was very impressed. I was seated immediately and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the garlic naan. I tried Samosa Chaat and loved it. It smelled so good and was incredibly flavorful. Then I had the Goat Biryani. Again, it smelled so good and tasted delicious. By recommendation, I paired the meal with a good beer. All around a great experience and I’ll be back!

We recently moved from SoCal and have been looking for an authentic Indian cousins. We found Indian Village ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma, the quality and taste of both dishes were very good at reasonable prices.

The food was delicious. So flavorful and came out fast. I’ve never had a bad dish here. And Service was very friendly and attentive.

Punjabi Indian food, SO GOOD! The Sunday lunch buffet is worth going to!

I ordered a Goat Biriyani and a Goat Curry from Village of India the last time I ordered from here on UberEats. I have also had numerous other dishes from here. While I will not say that this is the best Indian restaurant in Columbia I will say that the food is a hit or miss and it’s just okay. I find their chicken pieces are a bit dry but most of all the sauces I would say are decent except for the Goat Curry I found it to lack complex flavors and it in turn just tasted oily and spicy. The meat in the Goat Curry and Goat Biriyani also tasted as if my order was confused for Lamb, it tasted exactly like lamb and I’m not a huge fan of lamb as it tastes extremely gamey. The Goat Biriyani also didn’t leave much to be desired as the rice also lacked complex flavors that Biriyani usually has. There were no additional toppings such as onion, herbs and spices. I was truly disappointed. The presentation was also lackluster. I will say the one dish I truly enjoyed from here are their Samosas they are wonderful.

We went for a lunch buffet over several Facebook and WhatsApp advertisements. We were completely disappointed with the food's taste and texture. The vegetable biryani was completely dry and utterly tasteless. I could taste the raw smell of turmeric and red chili powder. It wasn’t cooked. It looks like it was just mixed half-cooked hoping the remaining half would cook in the buffet tray. Instead, it was dry rice. Amongst all veggie curries, the chole curry was good and the rest were not great to mention. The naan and poori were ok. In the desert section, Gulab jamun was over-sweet and rubbery. When I walked in, other fellow diners cautioned me about the horrible food taste and asked me to try it elsewhere. However, I still dined it because it was late in the afternoon and the kids were hungry and I regret the decision. I will not go to this place again. I hope they take it on a positive note. Unless they work on their dishes, I doubt staying in business for a long time. 1. Response to the owner: There was no waiter. It was the lady at the counter, taking away the dishes from the table. You may presume me for someone else who said, “Very good food”. I called the lady and informed her that the rice was undercooked and so dry. She did try and said, it was dry because of the heat under the buffet tray. Later she asked me to try the biryani once the tray was refiled and it was the same. You should ask her about that. Yes, I did inquire about the 15% discount you posted on a WhatsApp group, and when you showed your post about discontinuing the discount, I paid the full price of the buffet. The lady at the counter said $15 for an adult buffet and asked if we wanted to pay by cash or card. When I said ‘card’, she calculated the final price using her calculator and charged me $15.99 and never informed me about it. I understand that you are defending the food you cook, and I would do the same. When I wrote well about chole (chana masala), naan, and poori why not the other dishes? For a moment, try to reason for the fair comments from the customers and understand the reality.

We have been eating here for many years for dine-in, takeout and delivery. The food and service has always been excellent. I have eaten Indian cuisine in many other cities and this place holds up to any of them. Great options for vegans and vegetarians. Happy that the Sunday buffet is back.

We arrived party of two. We were sat immediately. Never having been to an Indian restaurant We had alot of questions. The owner was glad to help and we were able to get amazing food, great portions, and affordable prices. We will definitely be back. The peshwari Naan bread was to die for.

My wife and I went to Sunday buffet, 7 Nov 23. Small customer attendance. Buffet was fairly expansive with several rice dishes, several styles of chicken. Cabbage Marsala was available, which is rare on Indian buffets. Overall, very appetizing. Buffet line and restaurant were clean. Owner is also host and very friendly. I will definitely return. James

One of my friends told me about this place so me and few people decided to check it out and they did not disappoint because this food is delicious. I got some chicken saag and some garlic naan and I love every single bite.

My favorite Indian food in Columbia. Naan is excellent (I love the garlic naan, but my wife doesn’t love it on me!). There is a large selection of vegetarian food. I tried the Channa Saag today ( chic peas and spinach). It was wonderful. The service is wonderful, but the food is cooked fresh. It usually takes a while for the meal to be ready… but it is worth the wait!

This is a great local place a little off the beaten path. Food is great, service fast and efficient. Nellam and her crew always do a wonderful job!

Don't let the worn down look of the shopping center turn you away from this place. After a long day of wrangling toddlers, I wanted a spice, warm meal. The staff was amazing, they worked with my allergies, food was amazing and well presented, clearly a local favorite take out given the traffic.

Lovely Punjab owned place. Reminds me of my best friend Hardish Singh Sodhi. Great Butter Chicken. Naan is so fresh. Dal is a bit over cooked but still worth it.

They don’t make Postmates/DoorDash orders. Reps from both companies called checking status, orders either never came or were slow. Response: We both know that’s a lie. You don’t partner with delivery services but admitted my order left? That means you use delivery services. The order took more than 40 minutes. I stated the truth, and that is it. Also, why was the order missing rice? Best.

3.5 stars. Food was ok, not as flavorful as other Indian restaurants I have had but was still good. Service was solid (late lunch) and atmosphere was alright for a strip mall.

This is by far the best Indian food I have had since Boise. The woman was very friendly the food was authentic like my Indian friends cook for themselves. It was very spicy and delicious. will definitely be coming back

Fantastic Indian restaurant! We were seated immediately, the waitress was kind and inviting. We received everything quickly and hot. My Lamb Korma was one of the best Korma’s I had, the Lamb wasn’t over cooked and just fell apart. Only critique was my spice level. I asked for medium level and received mild. Other than that 9/10. Great dinner location with great food for everyone!

I've been here twice. Food is not consistent at all. Tandoori chicken, is NOT a true tandoori chicken, and tasted a day old. Chicken 65 tasted like frozen chicken that was stirred into a premade sauce. Chili chicken was still cold and most definitely was a frozen diced chicken that probably came from Sams Club or a Tyson chicken bag. I had high hopes that this would be a great local spot, but unfortunately will not be back and cannot recommend.

Visiting from out of town, and was craving Indian food. This place did not disappoint. Very nice staff, and the food was fresh and flavorful. I got medium spicy and it was plenty spicy with lots of flavor. Everything was clean and the prices seem fair. Would definitely return if back in the area.

If you ask for the food to be spicy, prepare for it to burn your mouth. The owner will even double check with you to make sure you want it spicy because she will laugh at you when you realize it is too spicy. The food is good but pricey so make sure you get something you actually want. The owner is also the waitress and for whatever reason she just has an attitude every time we go there. Maybe that's just her, but after we spent so much money you would think she would be nicer. Not the fanciest place inside and I wish they would bring back their buffet, but the food is worth it considering there aren't many Indian places in the area.

Village of India is one of my favorite restaurants. I could not recommend this restaurant enough! It’s the place I always take my friends. The food is very comforting and delicious. I am always pleased with the quality of service.

I ordered the Samosas, Chicken Korma, and garlic Naan and my husband had the lamb korma. All were excellent and service was just as great! Don't let the outside or location fool you, this is a hidden gem.

We arrived too late for the buffet, and ordered separate meals, but it is served family style, so we all shared. Everything was SO delicious! Chicken biriyani, shrimp korma, and paneer Tikka masala. The portion sizes ate very generous, we took home lots of left over for tomorrow. We will for sure be back.

We have eaten here many times. Our favorite Indian restaurant in the area is Persis Biryani, but Village of India is a lot closer to us so we end up going there more often. The woman who serves us is always kind and helpful, the food is tasty and it's never crowded so it's a great place to get a table with no wait at peak times (e.g. Sunday lunch).

Enjoyed exotic ’Dinner for 2’. A sumptuous 3 course 🥘 meal. We had to pack the extras home. Authentic, delicious and served with passion. Will surely visit as often as we can

Very nice and clean atmosphere. Food is incredibly good, I had butter chicken with naan, medium spicy. As a person who hardly eats spice, it was just spicy enough to make me almost regret my decision but tasted very good. Their Mango Lassi, I believe is what it's called, was hard to stomach but only because I am so new to the flavor of it but it was a very unique taste which others may enjoy more. I'll be honest, it tasted a bit like spoiled milk but can't say whether that is normal or not. Overall some of the best Indian food I have had in the states and some really good prices.

My family and I love going here. I always gobble up the food and absolutely love it. The waitress was awesome. They always give the most scrumptious food. Yum. If I could I would give this place 10 stars.

The food was very good and very filling. Good portion sizes. Unfortunately which I feel is everywhere now for 4 people to eat 1 teen 1 kid it was about $88 on 1-31-23. The inside is obviously dated as it's in a very old strip mall. It's clean in the dining area which is a huge plus. Dhec on has the restaurant getting As which is great to see. The bathrooms are in desperate need of remodeling and updating to give them a cleaner more modern look. I would really like to see what they could do in a newer or more updated spot as I feel it would draw more people to the location. Another plus Is they have fountain drinks with refills which has not been common with other Indian restaurants in the area. The waitress was very responsive and nice as well.

Absolutely delicious, I got the spicy lamb tikki masala and the way the food is served is clever. Other Indian places I've been too tend to have serving plates that take up to much space on the table but the pots were perfect. Samosas and naan were also good.

So many delicious dishes! We ordered a variety and it all was so good! We mostly had chicken dishes (korma, Tikka masala, butter) but also a couple of shrimp dishes. Nice large shrimp. And the woman who manages up front is very sweet and efficient.

Let me start with the positives the food I ordered was delicious, hot, and fresh! Now with the bad I placed my order at 6:05 PM and was told it would be ready at 6:40 PM I arrived at 7PM and my order wasn't even started! I was told it would be another 20 minutes I was on my lunch break which is only 30 minutes so I was late for work as I didn't leave the restaurant until 7:30PM, NO apology, NONE of the food was label so my co worker and I didn't know which was which, NO to-go silverware, NO price reduction was offered, and we all ordered spicy nothing about our food was spicy. OVERALL NEEDS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS FOOD DELICIOUS.

I ordered chicken Tiki masala.. they gave me old crunchy rice? The rice was not fresh…I go for the rice! Please serve your customers rice that isn’t from the day before (or who knows how long???) Think I’ll stick to 2 Ginger’s

Best Indian food I've had in a long time

I ask for my food to be Spicy, but it was so hot, that all I tasted was the heat. Very bland and very hot! The price of a side of bread or vegetables should have come with it. Maybe I should have tried something different, don't think I will go back.

This was a delicious lunch. I’ll eat there anytime I’m craving Indian food. So so good!

Ended up here on a Friday night about 8pm. Restaurant was pretty empty aside from three couples dining and our group of 4. Owner was super sweet and helped my two friend whom never had Indian before. Apps came quickly, the onion bhajia was our favorite with just the right amount of spice. Once our apps were complete the super sweet owner asked us if we were ready for our entrees. They came out quickly after. All entrees ordered were delicious. Service was great. Restaurant was clean for the most part (tho walls could use a wipe down). Standard Indian portion size (large). We all left stuffed and had plenty of leftovers to take home. So glad we stumbled on this place accidentally. I will definitely be back.

our favorite Indian restaurant....if not just our favorite restaurant in Columbia. Vast variety of Indian dishes and levels of spice. Service is delightful, welcoming, patient and helpful. Atmosphere is relaxed and not rushed. The food is professionally prepared and presented with personal touches and no hint of commercial shortcuts. The restaurant is clearly a labor of love for the chet and staff. A peaceful blessing to be found.

Stopped at this place on a roadtrip, and we were a little skeptical when we entered. We ended up staying and had amazing food. Auntie who was our server, was just amazing. Mango shake though too sweet reminded me of India. Chicken tikka masala and aloo kulcha were awesome too. Will definitely recommend this place if you can get past the simplistic atmosphere.

It was clean, the service was great, the food was good but the only thing I found was that there was excess oil. We ordered chilli paneer and Gobi Manchurian.

Our favorite Indian restaurant we love everything here! We normally get the butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, the shrimp tikka masala, roti and garlic naan. I love the mango lassi it’s a great treat to have after eating all the good food. The service here is always great the lady who takes our order is so sweet and always remembers us. We love coming here. We will be back again! Hopefully to dine in soon.

I was there while I was on the way to Virginia. I look some reviews and went there for dinner. I had to wait in the door for while. Since no one respond me I had to reach to the counter. After I told her I’m there for dinner, a lady offer me a table and took my order. She didn’t even give me water so I had to ask later. The food was good honestly except rice.
